>Entire reason it's a Switch exclusive is because they feel like direct advertising will bring more attention to the game >Nintendo can't even give it a long segment in a direct that happens a week before its launch
lel I bet they're going to speed up the development of the multiplat versions
That's what's really alarming.
It's a timed switch exclusive exactly to give it more attention, and then the US direct a week before it's release they don't even mention it.
They didn't have to give it its own five minute segment, but they didn't even give it a five second mention.
>This shit is going to be Switch exclusive for who knows how long >The baseball game thing is a mobile gacha game with an anime series that nobody saw and the few that did found it mediocre
This Danganronpaless era of Kodaka games is over before it even began
Mind you they already showcased it in a previous direct, but they still probably should have at least had a card up for five seconds between other games reminding people >hey, this switch exclusive releases in a week!
Nintendo isn't in charge of marketing Spike's game. If spike didn't send anything for them to use it's not in the direct. The JP direct got a few seconds clip in a Coming Soon montage and that was all.
I want to get it, but is it really worth $60? Not to mention they're doing $20 of DLC too. Also, my Switch is banned for some reason, so frick me ever getting that DLC anyways.
this is gonna be one of those 5 switch games a year that actually takes several days after release to get dumped instead of leaking a week before. literally no one seems to give a shit about it.
I'm really hoping this isn't just NotDanganronpa4.
Not because I don't like 3, I did, but it killed the series for good reason and it needs to stay fricking dead.
Kodaka's writing has literally always been hot ass, with the exception of one type of writing, the murder mysteries. Any DR fans with an IQ above room temperature only cared about DR gor the cases since the first game, and the rest was an unfortunate obligation to get to the next case, or close out the game.
You first. Danganronpa's riddled with horrendous continuity errors, nonsensical character motivations, and a painfully obvious pattern that makes the series horribly predictable.
>does only two DR games >decides that the killing game formula is already stale and formulaic, so gives V3 a meta ending

It was, you could practically set you watch to the plot twists and dramatic moments because it was so blatant when going through the motions for the third time.

Not the killing game's fault for having to include a double murder in every third chapter.

My rule is that if you do a meta 'Touch grass, nerd!' ending for your story, you're not allowed to then turn around and continue using it's characters and iconography as a means to sell toys and t-shirts and shit.

I mean, he's right.
The killing game formula was tired out. He'd need to add more elements to it to keep it entertaining.

Or just stop sticking to tired tropes such as having chapter 3 be a double murder committed by an insane killer, or having a muscular character die in Chapter 4.
I actually liked DR's mysteries and trials so I'm willing to play a detective game from him. V3 was also fine for most of the game, it was only the meta shit that sucked.
I wanted to get the deluxe edition with the plushie, but I was going to be abroad (am currently) and I didn't want it waiting in the sun on my porch. I'll get around to it eventually.
>switch exclusive coming out in A WEEK
>not even mentioned in the direct at all
why is nintendo trying to kill this game? What did Kodaka do to them???? The company is going to go bankrupt
>not even mentioned in the direct at all
Only in the gaijin directs. Farming simulator N363151 is more important.
Like 5 seconds, it needed a couple of minutes.
>Elements with Emotions
As someone with a chemistry degree, why didn't I think about an element dating sim.....
>look up "elements with emotions"
>dating sim with boys
damn, almost as gay as the million farm sims for trannies that nintendo announced

Sucks that it's a Switch Exclusive. At least it'll be free on PC, but I was hoping to actually support the developer
Mind you they already showcased it in a previous direct, but they still probably should have at least had a card up for five seconds between other games reminding people
>hey, this switch exclusive releases in a week!
>mention game in all directs EXCEPT the one that is right by the release of the game
Who is working on marketing at nintendo? Are they stupid?
Nintendo isn't in charge of marketing Spike's game. If spike didn't send anything for them to use it's not in the direct. The JP direct got a few seconds clip in a Coming Soon montage and that was all.
does this game not have a physical version? It's not anywhere on (leaf)Bestbuy...
It's on the US amazon.
Don't know how Amazon operates outside of the US.
I want to get it, but is it really worth $60? Not to mention they're doing $20 of DLC too. Also, my Switch is banned for some reason, so frick me ever getting that DLC anyways.
Where is the Japanese direct?

Do you really have any faith in Kodaka's writing at this point?
DRV3 filtered most fans, I'm not surprised by the lack of hype.
It's got some VAs I like so that'll probably be enough to keep me along for the ride
I'm really hoping this isn't just NotDanganronpa4.

Drv3 filtered most fans because it was garbage.

Kodaka's shit writing is part of the fun.
I love ripping DR apart.
>shit writing
have a nice day moron

I'll get it but I have to get a Mythra scale first
I'm genuinely shocked this game isn't getting more hype. The artstyle alone should've convinced tons of people to buy it.
There isn't a lot of marketing around it. Plus it's getting over shadowed by FFXVI and other games this month.
I was interested but there's a bunch of other games I want coming out this year so I'll wait for a sale.
>digital deluxe edition has a season pass
But... why?
If you aged up the main character by about 8-10 years I think people would care a lot more.
I'm just ordering the standard edition. I trust that someone will just rip the digital artbook and the soundtrack later, anyway.
Same
The art book and plus are interesting, but I ain't paying an extra fifty bucks for them.
The VR superpower stuff turned me off, I wanted a simple murder mystery story. If the detective stuff ends up good I'll pick it up after launch.
