As a kid, I was (still am) way too scared to play the first three entries. I envy the autism fandom for enjoying the games, though.
It's just jumpscare simulator and the more you play the less impact it has.

What happened?
FNAF 4 was very obviously supposed to be about the bite of 87 with a teaser image having bite of 87 hidden in it and the number 87 all over the source code of his site but he changed the story and said it's now the bite of 83 and we never got to see the bite of 87
I'm sure Scott changed his mind on a lot of things during and between his games developments but I feel like the "Bite of 87" mentions on the website were just misdirection. 2 made it look like the Bite of 87 was going to happen with the Toys involved, while 4 was always advertised with animatronics that looked like the Withered robots.
