Level design goes to shit after rom, just like dark souls. So 8
8/10
Its no Sekiro (10) DS1 (10) or ER (9.5)
-1 for level design
-1 for chalices/gems
The only 10/10 game.
-1 for Level design
-1 for Chalice dungeons
10. One of those games that ends up feeling greater than the sum of its parts.
7, would be a 6 but the DLC saves it.
-1 for Chalice Dungeons
-1 for having a grand total of 3 good bosses in the entire vanilla game
-1 for the joke of a level design which does everything Dark Souls II gets shit for
-1 For the awful online system
Sekiro is Bloodborne except almost every problem is fixed
Sekiro is Bloodborne if they took away everything but one weapon
Bloodborne's gun mechanic is also much much better and you can even go more into bloodtinge, further increasing options
Sekiro always felt like a tech demo to me
Frick you I liked Chalice Dungeons. It's a nice way to make a game replayable without GaaS garbage. Some of the enemies are a little goofy (those short floor-crawling frickers with the instant flame attacks), but overall I'd do 10 Defiled Chalices before I'd even bother reinstalling DaS3, let alone playing through, I dunno, Cathedral of the Deep.
>chalice dungeon hate
Literally one of the game's best features.
No they suck
I enjoyed them. More combat challenges? Whats not to like.
Oh and Bloodborne has the best dog enemies in all Souls games because you can just blast them with a shotgun and they get knocked back for two seconds. The ability to shoot dogs rather than let them chew through your Havel's armor like it's made of toddler's adds +1 point and makes my inner ATF agent happy.
>rate
frame rate? Sickdark/10
How does it run on PS4 Pro? I saw the game in a clearance bin at Walmart last week, it was like 10 Canadian bucks. Never played a souls game, but I like the victorian aesthetics of Bloodborne and heard good opinions when it came out like seven years ago or something.
It runs fine for the most part. Only 3-4 places where it gets really bad
Is it 30 fps on PS4 Pro?
it's nice but not amazing. I think it's just consolewar bullshit that's propping this game up
I like the aesthetic a lot though, and the combat is rather cool
>I think it's just consolewar bullshit that's propping this game up
it is, especially the zoomers who got into the PS ecosystem after PS4 started shilling for every game not matter how bad it is as long as it was exclusive, these same gays demanded spider man 2 should've won GOTY over BG3/AW2/TOTK when it got 0 awards out of 7 nominations, braindead snoys
When I played it I’d still only played sekiro from from. 9/10. Great action game. ER feels better these days.
Chalice dungeons are some of the best idea they've had. Exclusive bestiary, armor, weapons and runes. Can actually get difficult compared to most of the game and makes you use all your tools and items. They're great for coop and PVP. And they're even completely optional, if you don't like them, nothing forces you to go through them (except if you're a "I need to get the platinum trophy for each souls game"-gay, then you're just autistic and there is no hope for you.)
8/10 at best, easily the most overrated souls games and that says a lot
8 out of 10 on a good day, Sekiro/DS3/ER are much better
This was a great design. If we could keep the flame effect while wearing it, the armor would be a 10/10
8.5
base game bosses were fricking dogshit, 30 fps was dogshit, having to fast travel to reset enemies or to travel to another area was dogshit, laurence was double dogshit
A little better than Dark Souls 3, worse than every other fromsoft game. a 7.5 seems about right but the poll doesn't have that option so I vote 8
