7/10. Decent game but incredibly overrated. Not even top 5 best snes rpgs. It's the most normie core 16 bit rpg ever released. It's fine, but the world isn't very large or exciting because they had to make it small because of time travel
Also, frog is handled poorly. Before you ask, here's the top 5 snes rpgs in no particular order:
Final Fantasy 6
Earthbound
Secret of Mana
Final Fantasy 4
Mario rpg
Bonus: soul blazer
>Earthbound >Secret of Mana >Final Fantasy 4 >Soul Blazer
None of those come close to CT. Earthbound is the most overrated, tedious crap that I've ever played. It's Dragon Quest with all of its charm replaced with stupid memes.
This. It's perfectly paced. And the story is dead simple to follow, when most of the time in JRPG's the story goes completely off the rails into incomprehensible convolution.
9/10 classic. The amount of charm they fit into such a satisfying little adventure is insane, and it remains possibly the best implementation of ATB in a turn based RPG. Dual/Triple Techs were hype as frick
10/10, the flaws were trivial, set a bar for everything to come. It had trannies before they were cool, had multiple endings, memorable characters, complicated villains. Combat had enough variety to not be a slog. Have never heard anyone give it worse than its aright.
10/10. I don't have quite the emotional investment in it that I do for my favorite games, but on an objective level I believe that Chrono Trigger is flawless. Every part of the game is the good part of the game.
It deserves a 10/10. On top of the story being great and having great characters, there are so many unique set pieces throughout the game and so many qol features that became standard in later JRPGs.

8/10
Sets the bar for good JRPGs
what would you consider the best JRPG one can play, if it's not CT?
But seriously how was I supposed to know you could bring crono back to life without looking it up? The entire game the point is to kill Lavos so that's what I did.
I'm kind of surprised at their choices of remakes
Like, Live-a-Live? Really?
Why that game and not CT?
Something tells me it might be a legal issue. Like, maybe Enix's acquisition of Square didn't include all rights? Maybe some artist has some right to some part of the artwork of the game? Idk...
I do vaguely recall something about Chrono Trigger being a joint project between Squaresoft and the dudes who do Dragon Quest. Make sense with the Toriyama art, now that I think about it.
7/10 good but not mindblowing

What would be considered too lewd for Flea?
When the power is just too beautiful
It was implied flea has been around. That was enough. That was enough to awaken a desire to kill.
Too kill who?

10/10 rpg simply because it's only 15 hours long and not an 80 hour slog

kinda mid fr fr no cap

10/10
Best JRPG made since its snappy and memorable.

I like Marle. Also, Crono and Lucca work well as best bros.

It's a good, even great game, but it's overly praised and that sets too high an expectation for most new players, I think.

Black Souls 2

I dunno man, talk to Gaspar, like, ever I guess?
They wouldn't dare remake this. Right? RIGHT?!
Didn't S-E made a censored 'remaster' of Cross?

Its a 9/10 for the pacing alone, it doesn't waste your time with random battles or endless text. Same reason i love superstar saga.
6/10
Every contemporary FF game destroyed it and i have no earthly clue why mongos pretend it's an especially good game
9.5/10
5/10
Generic boomerslop
9.25/10 if we pretend cross isn't canon/doesn't exist.
10/10, fricking masterpiece, thoroughly enjoyed it each of the several times I've played it.
8/10, didn't like the menuing or the battle system on active mode. frog is omega based
I don't think rating it would be fair because I unironically dropped it. It just was that boring and uninteresting.
