Raytracing tanks performance even on a 4090 for marginal improvements that arguably don't even look better. On a conceptual level it will eventually be the go-to for lighting but either hardware needs to advance more or the software needs optimization.
dlss and frame generation fixes this
DLSS is a bandaid solution that causes input lag. Consoles can't handle raytracing and neither can most PCs. Software has always advanced faster than hardware but raytracing has been around for years and the 4000 series cards are brand new. It's obvious when games are optimized for it and it's extremely obvious when they're not.
Projection, I don't watch that shit.
the input lag with dlss is minimal, frame generation has a little bit more but for single player games, this is largely irrelevant regardless

i always turn everything in game to low, prettier pixels are worthless, the only thing that matters is rendering clarity and the less confetti the better, DSR is a much better use of hardware resources when it comes to inefficiently utilizing surplus HW resources, at least the gains you get from that assist in rendering more defined graphics
