there's a couple more bugs like that which makes it impossible to play the game at all
the most amusing one skips the rockstar authentication at launch, forcing you to quit the program from task manager, if your cpu is too fast

Just emulate the Switch version of RDR1 with Ryujinx. It's a vastly better video game. And for whatever reason Switch emulation is perfect and the absolute best option for it. Don't even bother with Xenia/RPCS3.

That launcher fricking sucks and when I played RDR2 it would never remember my login and would give me that shit captcha to click on pictures of school buses until none were left with the slowest fricking fade time it could possibly give me. The Rockstar Launcher is literally incapable of signing me in, even when I have the account now. I am quite literally unable to play the game I payed money for, through the tools that the seller and provider are giving me, and they are not getting supported anymore. I pay money for game, game no work, I get money back.

The whole point of steam is that it's one launcher and social platform for all your games. I am not throwing out anything but trash. I am using Steam because it's convenient. I click a button and everything just works. I use GOG because I can back up installs and "own" my games no matter what. Every other launcher can frick off. I will never play any Ubisoft or any other of your mentions either exactly because they want me to download their launcher and create another account. I already did that on Steam, if you put your game on Steam it should not have your proprietary launcher and account bundled into the requirements. Your game could suck my dick and do rimjobs 24/7 but if I have to download another launcher for it I am not going to get it out of principle. If you are trying to inconvenience a paying customer and offer a worse product than what a pirate gets for free, you are dead to me. I pay for games because it's 5% more convenient than pirating.

Sacrifices, anon. I only play games without Denuvo and free of launchers, which basically means that a lot of AAA titles are out of reach. I don't give a frick. It's still enough to survive. There's not a single DRM game on my Steam lib, apart from Steam itself of course and then again if I can I always prioritize GOG unless we are talking about some FOTM that I can toss 10 bucks for the occasional fun with strangers.
