>RE1 Remake was a masterpiece better than the original
>RE2R was weird with OTS camera in a Survival Horror and less content than the original, still a decent game
>RE3R was just scripted scenes and action horror with a bit of puzzles, missing half of the game and making Nemesis look pathetic and Jill a generic powerful woman
what were they thinking?
Tip Your Landlord Shirt $21.68 |
>these moronic goyim will buy it anyway
and they were right.
If you can't look at Nemesis's design and tell it wasn't going to be good, idk what to say
It was still pretty fun for 2 hours. Thank god I didn't pay for it.
>>RE2R was weird with OTS camera in a Survival Horror and less content than the original, still a decent game
not true.
There's legitimately no reason to play Leon or Claire (depending on your preference) in Demake 2. (Though I'd recommend Leon because Claire was specifically made for women with how easy they made her scenario)
In the original, Leon A and Claire B or Claire A and Leon B are actually different enough to warrant it.
Besides, liking Demake 2 means Demake 3 will be created, and I'd prefer if all Demake 2 fans died before that could happen.
*Note: I did like Ghost Survivors, but it doesn't justify how bad Demake 2 and 3 ended up being.
Also REmake 4 was necessary because RE4 was always a shitty action game that aged poorly and the remake made some HUGE improvements (being able to switch weapons on the fly like RE5 and 6)
>RE4 was always a shitty action game that aged poorly
You moronic contrarian normalgays all came out of the woodworks to state this like some universal fact when rem4ke came out like you didn't claim it was the greatest game ever made before then
I never liked RE4 (even when it was new and I was trying to convince myself the Gamecube wasn't a shit console) and preferred RE5/RE6 because I was a friendhaver, which RE4fans seem to have a problem making.
"RE is a survival horror game for singular audiences" said the people who magically claimed they had been longtime RE fans but didnt know Outbreak/file2 existed
>you don't remember these dogshit spinoff flops? heh not a real fan.
were they flops? yeah
were they dogshit? i feel like not anymore than the core RE games of their time
but the coop of 5 and 6 ARE fun and if you dont agree well stop playing with yourself when you play 5 and 6
>well stop playing with yourself when you play 5 and 6
There's a certain type of gamer that views themselves as the wandering ronin who needs no friends. Who resists good features like campaign co-op just because they're that friendless.
I wish I could play peace walker coop
https://nopaystation.com/search?query=peace+walker&limit=10&orderBy=completionDate&sort=DESC&missing=Show
My original plan was to do it split screen via PPSSPP, but this turned out to be a godsend.
Oh and me and my friend are 15 missions deep. My friend has a pretty computer for PS3 emulation but he still gets good framerate on Peacewalker.
*has a pretty shit computer
>There's a certain type of gamer that views themselves as the wandering ronin who needs no friends.
This is me. I see myself like that.
>you enjoyed this atmospheric single-player franchise?
>well now we've made it co-op schlock
>you don't like that? what are you a fricking LOSER?
When I had friends they were all scrubs at games, noone wanted to play with me because if it was competitive I'd stomp them, i never made it to the era of coop, and I sure as hell aint playing with a stranger
I played RE4 more often with friends than any other
>woodworks
esl
>but muh cutscenes
Don't care. REmake 2 has god tier pacing, the original turns to shit after the RPD.
REmake 2 is the significantly bigger than the original.
Sewers and Lab are actual areas now instead of 4 narrow tunnels and hallways.
>RE1 Remake was a masterpiece better than the original
It really wasn't.
Pros
>Better graphics
>Better voice acting although the original was hilarious
>Extra modes
>Crimson heads
>Jill jiggle
Cons
>Cliche haunted mansion aesthetic instead of creepy 90s mansion
>The hunters were a joke
>Most of the enemies were a joke
>Lisa
>Extending the underground caverns added absolutely nothing other than extra busy work
>ANOTHER push puzzle
>Shotgun was worthless
>Defense items made the game too easy
>Watered down OST even the farty music from dual shock version was better
I like remake when it came out but upon replay I found I actually like the 96 resident evil better.
voice acting although the original was hilarious
The voice acting is my fav part of the OG.
Has so much more soul than the soulless remake.
>Cliche haunted mansion aesthetic instead of creepy 90s mansion
So same shit?
>Lisa
What's the con with her?
>because Claire was specifically made for women
She was playable in the original as well.
Playing as girls is for homosexuals.
I want to see MEN complete with hairy ass and swinging ballsack!
Claire was specifically made for women
Noooo you idiot. Demake 2's scenario was specifically made for women. If you're gonna play Demake 2 at all, play it as Leon because they don't pull any punches (the ladder breaking, the extra licker, how shitty his guns are compared to Claire's flame rounds, etc)
Claire probably easier but not by much, flame rounds are nice but you don't get many so its something to deal with lickers. Leon gets the shotgun making zombies way easier to deal with. Claire probably has the hardest boss fight if you don't abuse Acid rounds, Ada's section is harder though ill give you that. Theres pros and cons for both, also Claire has the tougher boss fight when you first fight Birkin. If you play on PC yoyu wouldnt know thanks to knife cheese
People only praise Crimson Heads because youtubers have said to, I think they're a shit mechanic
no they praise them because they're actually scary even if the way they work gameplay wise is problematic.
I continually see people praise the "mechanics" (haven't actually played the game, got their opinion from a youtuber)
I had REMake on launch for Gamecube (I think the console was shit but still have fond memories of Remake) -- what is the problem with the Crimson Heads? I love how they surprise you the first time and you just run into the next room, leaving you wondering what you should do next.
They're just pointless busy work and inventory bloat. As a player you readily figure out when an area is "high traffic" or not, and so if you should burn the bodies in that area. At that point the game is just pointlessly wasting your time asking you to detour to burn the bodies. It's a fact that Crimson Heads were added to the game at the last minute, that has been plainly stated by the developers, but it also shows when you just play normally.
Yeah if they really wanted upgraded zombies they should have just had them randomly mixed in with the normal ones. Like the super zombies from the Director's Cut. The worst thing about them though is that the devs cut a bunch of Hunters that replace zombies in high traffic areas because I assume they thought crimson heads would surprise players on the return trip. It might work on the absolute rank newbie on their very first playthrough but makes it dull as hell every time after.
>Any added mechanic is 'busywork'
Oh frick off, your not even forced to burn the bodies
>But fighting all the crimson heads is too hard!
Then its not just busy work is it? You can't burn all the bodies, so you will have to fight a couple regardless, which adds to the tension in a game about backtracking through areas. So it definitely serves a purpose
guess something about having to dodge enemy instead of going full genocide like the new resident evil, trully the zoomer nightmare with the limited save
I've always played every RE game killing everything.
>
have you played re1
I legitimately loved R3make. It kinda checked all the boxes for me.
game is polished
is it wrong to want more from it? no
but it is better gamey mechanics than RE2R
also the newgame+ loop is well designed
>but it is better gamey mechanics than RE2R
learn english
your mom, homosexual
Son of b***h bastard splatter you with shit
Unless you beat the final boss on Nightmare, you didn't play the game.
You mean Inferno, right? And apart from the 3 or 4 initial zombies it's the only time the game forces you to dodge. Literally anything else (besides the rolling head) can be solved with rockets.
>homosexuals crying about superior, definitive remakes of their shitty old playstation games
(You)
>RE2R was weird with OTS camera in a Survival Horror and less content than the original, still a decent game
>they hated him because he told the truth
>RE2R was weird with OTS camera in a Survival Horror
moronic
>and less content than the original
without elaboration? false
Capcom are buttholes
If it had just been some kind of expansion for RE2, I wouldn't have minded as much. I remember when I played the RE3 remake for the first time, I was like "What's the big deal? Why are people shitting on this?" and then I replayed the original RE3 for the first time in probably 15 years, and got really pissed. So much good shit got cut out, and it didn't help that the demo teased this big open explorable city...and then railroads you through the rest of the game.
RE2make was better than REmake. I don't like any of REmake's changes from 1, whereas RE2make feels like a great game in its own right that doesn't replace the original (but is still a better game overall).
I can agree that RE3make was a mistake however.
Capcom should apologize by setting RE9 in a post-nuked Raccoon City, starring Jill or Leon.
I remember a few years ago pretty much everyone unanimously agreed REmake was better than original.
Recency bias. The HD re-release was the shiny new thing for awhile and easily impressed morons wouldn't stop soigaping at that screenshot of Jill by the fireplace from the Steam page long enough to take a critical look at the game.
For me, it's like Dawn of the Dead '78 and '04. I like both almost on the same level, but for drastically different reasons, and normies would undoubtedly find the remake to be more digestible.
don't forget 4 and how it destroyed all the identity the original had. frick ff7 for starting this alt history remakes, make it faithful or frick off
>don't forget 4 and how it destroyed all the identity the original had
RE1 remake did the same exact thing and people have been sucking it off incessantly for years.
>RE1 Remake was a masterpiece better than the original
have a nice day, REmake scum. REmake will never be better than the original.
>>RE1 Remake was a masterpiece better than the original
frick off zoomer
