i do that to 99% of the games even if i enjoyed them
i can only replay a very few games
>Get more than halfway through the game
>Realize all of the difficulty was frontloaded
>drop the game and never come back
>Reach title screen
>Select 'Credits' option
>Get up and walk around house while the credits play
>Come back, close game and uninstall
>Remove game from backlog
Lmfao
If the credits are unskippable I just turn it off before the end.
>Game has post credit scene
>If you skip the credits it skips it
You didn't beat the game.
Is there actually a game that does this?
mirrors edge catalyst and FEAR are two that ive played recently, just off the top of my head. many games do it
Just watch it on youtube lol. Same with games that have a good/evil ending. I'm not playing your game twice just to make 3 different choices.
>Game has post credit scene
>Watch the credits
>skip the post credit scene
>game has an achievement for watching the credits
>get 2/3 thru game
>sometimes even final level/boss
>accidentally never play again
frick me
>Realizing this stops me from going back to play it again
kek when this happens I always say I'll play it from the start again so I need to wait until I'm not playing anything else
for whatever fricking reason i always do this with jrpgs, specifically with SMT for some fricking reason. I still havent finished SMTV.
>jrpgs
Cause they're too fricking long most of the time, and turn based menu combat gets really boring after 60+ hours
>Enjoying game
>play half way through game
>get bored and just stop playing it
>delete it and never play it again
How do I stop doing this, especially with JRPGs
i say if you keep doing it just take the burnout and push through it, or like rush to the end if you are spending a long time doin2g side stuff
Play more than one game at a time.
Happened to me with Witcher 3.
i do that with all my games. i've tried completing my favorite games' achievements, but i just haven't been able to do it. completing the entire game over and over again just for one or two rare achievements is fricking killing me, man. it literally makes me start hating the games.
All "achievements" in the games are meaningless Sisyphean task, nobody gives a shit
Literally me.
>start game
>get half way through
>burn out and quit
>start game again from beginning months later
>get half way through
>burn out and quit
>start game again from beginning months later
Playing persona 5
Beat Shido
Think I beat the game
Game keeps going
Get bored
Look up online I have about 10 more hours
Realize I’m wasting time
Stop playing
Good.
i have never 100ed a game in my life
Literally me. Frick completionism autism.
only people with autism care about 100%ing games anyway
>not gay
>come up with something completely moronic
>not gay
>put a grayscale image of a very muscular man next to it (I have > 1000 of these BTW)
>not gay BTW
>make a post to try to make some guys on a mongolian moving manga image board exhale through their nose slightly faster
>make a post to try to make some guys on a mongolian moving manga image board exhale through their nose slightly faster
Something you failed to do insecure homosexual
>start game
>People start talking
>Close the game and never play it again
This but unironically. If you can't start off with a gameplay segment, then it's most certainly just not a good game.
>what is an rpg
Haha what do you mean anon? End of a game is 100% completion status.
Based
Frick cheevo gays that think grinding hit 6 headshots in 0.2 seconds while riding a unicycle while juggling 7 grandfather clocks and gargling gasoline is enjoyable.
>reach part of the game where a prompt pops up saying "Warning, if you go past this point you won't be able to go back"
>turn around and look for other things to do
>get bored after a couple hours
>quit game
I will never beat Disco Elysium for this reason
>play every game on hardest difficulty
>if higher difficulty is unlocked upon completion, play again
>Turn of game and never play it again if game is beaten on the hardest possible difficulty.
the only legit gigachad way of playing.
Post touhou 1ccs
This is how most games are for me
Now that consoles are just becoming prebuilt PCs any game with a story worth a shit comee out exclusivly
>Wanted to play RDR2 when it came out
>Exclusive to ps4
Ended up just watching all the cutscenes on youtube
>Wanted to play the new spiderman
>Exclusive to ps4 until august 2022
Ended up just watching all the cutscenes on youtube
You get the idea, i had to do the same for god of war and any games that went exclusive to epic.
Im not shelling out money or waiting 5+ years to be satisfied.
Make it EASY for me to buy your shit you moronic homosexuals otherwise im not glnna bother.
why even epic exclusive games if you own a pc? are you onw of those weird epic haters even though they are one of the only good AAA gaming companies?
>complete game 100% just so you can say you fully beat it and you never have to touch that shit ever again
>I only play Yakuza for the story
frick the bazillion side missions, frick cabaret club(except in kiwami 0 and 2) and frick the minigames.
>start any modern game
>realize it's garbage
>close and uninstall
>start old game that I've finished a dozen times
This, games are so bad now and barely any released in the past few years. Or going back and playing old ps1 and PS2 games I never played
Yeah
>reach around 50-60% of basic story only playthrough
>switch to lower difficulty to get it done quicker
>watch no commentary let's play on 2x speed before sleeping
>uninstall
Same
>reach end of game
>credits roll
>can't skip them
>turn off game
>don't care if it counts it as beaten or not
My entire Yakuza experience.
The very best games do not overstay their welcome. They leave you wanting more.
>beat game 7 times so you can be clear and thorough on why you hate it
>why yes, I did play DmC on every difficulty
>start game
>its an open world
>try to unlock as much world as possible before main missions
>finally unlock the world
>become completely tired of the game
>no interest in playing main missions
>uninstall the game
IT's so fricking exhausting how much shit they frontload in open world games now. It's what's stopping me from getting further in Horizon: Zero Dawn. Should I even try bros?
Give it a shot. I have to do all the possible side content before main one because once the main story is done - I have no interest in playing.
You only need to play side missions for some kind of profit, most of open world games have shit sidemissions that act like a filler content, they don't worth your time, play the main missions, grind sides if you need resources or something, complete the game, alt + f4 at the end credits.
Nothing wrong with this unironically, in most games the optional content is optional for a reason. It's boring filler.
>why yes, i will 100% complete Tales of Maj'Eyal and all 1782 achievements
>*elite that completely counters your build appears in your path and 2 shots you when you're playing on nightmare rogue like*
heh... fool...
games are so shit now i started actually replaying stuff sadly
Like what?
not telling
Not maxing out games out of principle is as fricking gay as maxing out out of principle
>credits are 37 minutes long
>watch the whole thing while thinking about the game
me with mass effect 3
>puts credits at the beginning
>OP is epicly trolled
thanks for the money
>Beat Elden Ring
>unlock everything
>delete it
>be me
>finish every game i start
>enjoy it thoroughly because i only pick games i know i'll like
>never regretted a purchase because i always do proper research according to my tastes
>100% the games i really like
feels good not being an adhd zoomer
>buying games
>implying you're not a tech illiterate zoomer
Pirating everything and just playing for an hour is 10x more useful than doing research
>play MMORPG
>reach max level
>uninstall game, never play it again and consider it beaten
>really enjoying game
>nearing the end, but don't want it to end so procrastinate continuing it
>eventually just forget to play it again and leave it unfinished
I've had to have done this at least 5 times now
Sakuna of rice and ruin
I don't know what sort of psycho could continue the game after that ending.
Once you have access to money or piracy there are so many games to play that replaying a game seems like a waste of time. A game has to be really really good to warrant a second playthrough
Yeah, when I was younger and had limited games I would replay them constantly. Once I learned to pirate I never did it. I still rewatch more shows than I watch new ones for some reason even though it's basically the same situation there though
Why?
Based, I do this if I get an ending that really takes the cake for me on a game I played.
I also do that even if it's not the "end of the game" if I just like it enough, like getting to the furnace room with a bunch of mushroom boys that are just chilling in that DLC for Little Nightmares.
>Reach last of third of game
>Bored of gameplay by this point, don't care about enough about ending to slog through
>Never play again and move on to another game
>Get to the final stage of game
>somehow the game wrongs you
>turn it off losing something you should've won and realise finishing it had no real achievment and that wrong doing plants a seed of hatred towards all games
And so I became a casual has been pro
You don't complete games? You're so b-b-BASED BRO
A TRUE GIGACHAD
Please let me suck your wiener, it's so cool that you don't 100% games. Have all of my validation and respect and my reddit gold!
back to discord underage summergay
>I'll just beeline the main story to the end and then complete any remaining sidequests and challenges
>beat the game
>lose all interest to do the side shit
LITERALLY me lol.
