>real model scanned for video game
<looks ugly as shit unaltered
Why? Left is original, right is my edit to make it look better. Is there some magic to this?

Did you just shrink his eyes? Besides that, I don't see a difference.
Dunno, but right looks more like the real Bryan Cranston to me and all it took was one simple change
That's because his eyes are usually squinted, so your brain thinks they are actually small
They look perfectly open to me in that picture you moron
Bro, I think you might be moronic.
I think you might be moronic. Characters like Big medic in mgsv perfectly match sean bean, no? literally 99% genetically identical
Because the point is to make them look like the real person
>small eyes good large eyes BAD
put down the controller, Anon. you need to step outside right frickin now. see your family and friends, right away.
Left looks better
waltuh...
This webm cuts right as I was expecting him to lightly tap the wall and splat like a comedically exaggerated watermelon
>waltuh..
>Waltuh..... he waddin't in da game waltuh
>My game developers are solid waltuh..
You perceive the character differently due to different body language and cinematography. To fully replicate how Breaking Bad appears you'd need to account for those things.
What game is Bryan Cranston in
>Unreal Engine
>Want graphics to be realistic
Maybe you should rename to Real Engine
>small eyes
>jawline made slightly more angular
>bigger chin
>bigger eyebrows
this just speaks multiple levels of "I HECKIN LOVE ME JAPONESE GEIMUUUUUUUUUUU AND COMICERINOS!!!!!!!"
why do you associate "angular jawline" with "japanese"
animu draweengs
just slap some AI on it
Ok, I'll bite. Where's that from?
Nevermind, OP is a homosexual
>hey bro here's your hank
oh no no no... breaking bros...
we're regressing back to Oblivion faces
he looks like he's contemplating carrying out a sex crime
>HAAAAANK! YOU HAVE A 3080 HANK, TURN THE GRAPHICS UP TO HIGH. HAAAAANK!
>le heckin comic book face GOOD!
they look out of place because they have more polygons than every other character
breaking bad is to better call saul as undertale is to deltarune
There's all shit?
Why is there a surge in BB memes years after the show ended
Better Call Saul is currently wrapping up its final season, just a few more episodes to go.
Because of Reddit Call Saul and Ganker circlejerking about it
Ganker unanimously agrees with
the show died at the end of Season 3 with Chuck.
face scans will always look like shit
an artist needs to build it from the ground up
?t=107
>that explosion
KEEEEK
I haven't watched a single episode of Breaking Bad?
Are you unsure or just moronic and can't type properly?
sneed
Yo, Mr. White! Can I have a job? Need for Speed movie didn't do me too well.
bro your Westworld?
henk
what el paso does to a motherfricker
It does not look like bryan, it looks like some grandpa with a goatee.
"I don't know Walt. You've been acting sus lately."
-Hank Schrader
For me, it's Chuck > Howard > 'Ector > Lalo
Everyone else in the show I found to be shallow and pedantic.
Having characters based on an art style instead of the real thing makes things seem more timeless. As technology advanced, things made today will look dated and old, as well as awkward.
The same way someone looks at an early PS1 game and wonders why people would bother with that.
>Is there some magic to this?
It is literally considered one of the most difficult things to do in CGI, yes.
The scan of the character is going on top of a premade model. The model itself is not made to conform to the scan.
That's it.
They basically do it backwards. It's why the butterface in control looks like the lead singer of AFI.
cringe
why?
yeah
You're not a real gamedev.
>I'm what?
YOU'RE NOT A REAL GAMEDEV! Unreal Engine 5, for Christ's sake? A proprietary game engine? What a joke. I programmed my ass to get my game to where it is, and you take these shortcuts and you think suddenly you're my peer? You do what I do because you can connect blueprints and download asset packs? I committed all of my free time for this! You don't...slide into it like a Unity Store template and reap all of the awards!
>I thought you were proud of me.
I was! When you straightened up and started actually typing in C++, I was very proud!
>So that's it then, right? Keep old /agdg/ in /vg/ because he's not good enough for the industry.
I know you. I know what you were, what you are. People don't change! You're a baseddev! And a baseddev I can handle just fine but a baseddev with a bloated game engine is like shitting on Carmack's legacy. GAME DEVELOPMENT IS SACRED! If you abuse that power, the Steam Shop gets hurt! These are not games! I know on some level you know I'm right. You know I'm right!
>I...I download you a compiler, Visual Studio Code, and some frameworks. Some stuff from OpenGameArt you like using. A few Mtn Dew® Gamerfuels, that's enough for three to four sessions. After that...you're on your own. I am done.
>Anon...anon!
Underrated chuck posting
>Why?
A whole day putting up with an overpaid, overrated, and utterly derranged pedowood narcissist who thinks doing vidya is beneath him(they all do), in the hopes the boomer stands still long enough to get some good scans. After all the shit's done, someone has to go and touchup the resulting 3D models; remove imperfections, unfrick topology, deal with scanning errors etc. Then you have to run it through the pipeline up until it's ready to be implemented in the engine.
And once you've got it in the game, you have to deal with shit like focal length. Get the best work done in the world, but your engine's camera works at 20mm. You're FRICKED. What do you do?
