This is the result. AI will be forced into everything possible from "news" articles to your fridge. I actually despise this because it didn't take too long for internet to get commercialized to oblivion and now this. Humans eventually destroy everything they touch.
Sure there's something great about it too but it's more like 1:100...
It'll be this. Youtube is already full of videos about people telling viewers to do "side hustles" which is just >use AI to find trending topics >find an article about the trending topic >put article into AI paraphraser >put paraphrased article into AI text to speech >put paraphrased article into AI presentation generator >combine the two into one video >(optional) add public domain background music >upload it to youtube >gather ad revenue pennies
The end result is tons of mcwagies and third worlders doing this which floods youtube with videos that are seemingly clones of each other that look like they were made by bots. The same thing will happen to any platform that allows this sort of shit.
Incredible worlds will be created with an unreal level of immersion, people will choose to live in these worlds permanently with their bodies connected to a life support machine that mantains the body.
Then, once a huge percentage of the population is connected to these systems, the """plug""" will be pulled and they will all die.
Good ridance.
It will be generating text, then 3D models, then voice acting, then music, and finally it'll be doing large swathes of coding(though it's already assisting in that). It can already do animations but idk I don't think anyone will be using it much aside from generic NPC motions(devs have been doing this for a while but it's such an irrelevant thing).
Listen to https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KCR7ovEwtCA
Run Chat GPT-4 (you have to pay for it)
Ask it for code
Use AI art to make textures and alter already existing ones on free models
Use AI art to make a skybox
Apply Textures to models and apply animations you paid for
Put basic "automatically apply lighting" setting instead of baking.
Place enemies
Put thousands of copies of the same game on Steam
Lil guy needs a popsicle made of milk/heavy cream.
Big companies will use AI to generate all their ideas and every storefront will be flooded with AI generated garbage

Even more shallow and gayly curated dialogues.
Theres going to be a lot of AI generated chaff in the coming months.
Future wise we might see niche jank games that are almost entirely on gameplay by autist devs who were scared by having to make art assets.
why did it remind me of that one troonjak sticking it's tongue out (not the ACK one)
you have holes in your brain
Lazier visuals
Even worse bugs thanks to unregulated AI coding

Eventually though it will just do it all for you.

Basically take what already exists and alter it.
I'm waiting for AI Anti-Cheats to become mainstream, where it can observe people and figure out pretty quick if someone is cheating.
AI anti AI will be a thing too. To delete AI "players".
pretty sure that's already a thing on some minecraft pvp servers
it will make it even more soulless
>tfw the only person on Ganker hyped for AI developments
