Konami seems the most likely where the company is technically worth more than Square Enix but their video game holdings are worth a fraction of that and they aren't doing anything so it would make sense they would want to acquire that. Really the only other company that make sense is Sega. Everyone else is either family controlled or has video games too close to their other expertise like Kadokawa and their books and manga alongside games and Bandai Namco and their toys and games.
So is Konami but you can always spin off the non-gaming part into another company as a subsidiary or not acquire that portion of it. You're never going to do it when gaming aligns very closely to their core interest with Kadokawa being into anime media in general and Bandai Namco being into toys.
I'm not arguing about the importance of the company's divisions as is but how it could be if Sony really wanted the Sega part of the company really badly and the capability to do so. Again, it's not like it's impossible to do, it would just be more hassle, time and money required to actually do the deed.
