Pikmin 4 details
DLC for Mario Kart and another first party game (too early for Zelda)
Some popular retro games added to that online pass thing
Some ports of games released over the past couple of years
Some surprising small-scale revival
A bunch of indies
End on Prime 4
Wouldn’t be the greatest ever, but enough content to get 40 minutes out of
I personally wouldn't mind it. Clean up the controls for the handheld games and upgrade all the assets to match WWHD and I think it'd be a good toon Link bundle
If WW is in it, I'm sold. Not sure how they'd incorporate touch controls though. The switches screen doesn't work in the same way the ds's screen does.
nintendo will have a game for august, september, october, and november because they always do. they usually skip december for some reason. they also have zelda, splatoon, pokemon, mario and rabbids, and mario kart dlc. they have retro games coming to nso. they also need to show them before gamescom.
Metroid is the last big release we know is coming, yeah? Also, I assume Pokemon will have something for the holidays regardless of whether it's ready to ship lol
they are doing the dlc. besides that idk. usually they announce any pokemon stuff on pokemon day. there will be something mario related this holiday though
I'm not even a hollow knight fan, but it's genuinely strange that this game is taking so long. There must be some serious behind-the-scenes drama at work.
It's not surprising at all if you are a big hk fan. Hk is so big that you have a toooon of middle and clueless fans who don't know the history of hk. TC received like 40k us dollarydoos on their kickstarter. They proceeded to blow past their targeted release date by several years adding more and more shit while living on scraps and savings. If they took that much extra time when they had no money to their name then we can only guess how long they will take with unlimited funds. It's very normal TC behavior though and not worth speculating about bad blood. The real new roadblocks are children and relationships.
Pikmin details
Pokemon dlc
Zelda dlc

Maybe some metroid news?
Probably try and push their N64 pass thing.
I don't think they would anounce a new console yet. If anything I don't see the switch actually having a switch2 More like a switch Super. Which would work like a Ds, to 3ds. Still on carts same shit newer hardware.
Idealy i'd like it to be a foldable device since they're so insistent on portability but the switch is not comfortable to carry round at all. Fricking thing scratches way to easy and the controllers suck.
Other than that, indie games and maybe a new game in a older franchise to feed nostalgia.
>Starts out with Prime 4 delayed or cancelled, they get this out of the way to not kill the direct entirely >A side Zelda projectis announced ala Links awakening remaster, probably OOS/OOA done in the same engine >Pikmin 4 final details >buncha 3rd party shit no one cares about except 1 game >buncha indie shit no one cares about except 1 game >mario kart 8D tracks >big announcement of the direct is a New Mario or Mario kart
They won't reveal a brand new Mario Kart until they're done with the DLC for 8, and they've revealed one pack at a time, so they'd have to reveal the second-to-last in one Direct and then the last in another before a new one
Depends. If it's a REAL direct, then they'd be obligated to show Prime 4 and everything shown back in February that's yet to release.
If it's a partner direct, then surprise third party games.
Really, chances are we'll get a pikmin direct next week and after that a partner direct.
Metroid Prime 4
New mainline Donkey Kong/Mario game
Mario Kart DLC
Pikmin 4 gameplay
Gamecube game rerelease, probably Paper Mario or F Zero
Random kirby sidegame
Zelda Wind Waker and Twilight Princess
How would we know? They usually reveal games people didn't know existed before then. We weren't expecting them to announce Pikmin 4 the day before the Direct.
yes we were. miyamoto announced pikmin 4 back in 2015. everybody knew nintendo was working on it at a low priority level. makes sense to release it now that the switch is coming to the end of it's life
Which just means the next console they plan to make would come out in 2 years and if it's delayed splatoon 3 will get an extra month of content.
They usually announce consoles long before release anyway.
Things are going to be slow until the Super Switch U.
Some zelda dlc, some shovelware mario sports, pikmin and Metroid Prime, maybe some pokemon remake. I wouldn't expect anything else.
It is what it is.
The point is you're supposed to >Shit on Nintendo >Call the Switch dead/kiddie >Say that Nintendo has nothing coming even though this has never been the case
What are you guys so certain there's gonna be a direct? Didn't Nintendo themselves said they won't make one because they literally don't have enough to showcase and make one.

they said e3 didn't line up with their timeframe. that being said they are going to gamescom and they are hosting nintendo live. they have already announced they won't be making any announcements at these events so if they want to show demos and trailers for upcoming games it would need to be before those events, presumably at a direct.

i'm not saying they won't do more nintendo collaborations, I think they will just save them for the launch of the next console. maybe even launch day
To be fair, it might end up like the first Fire Emblem Warriors that was on both 3DS and Switch

maybe, but if they do it that way it will be 1 skew with different performance modes depending which console you play it on.
Pikmin 4
Surprise DLC, paid or free, for one or two first party games
Release date for Baten Kaitos remastered
Maybe Shadows of the Damned? Suda51 gets well with Nintendo. Dunno about Lollipop Chainsaw
Metroid Prime something, either the ports or remasters for 2 and 3, and obviously something about 4, I hope
Zelda something, either TotK related or a remaster of some old game
More Rare stuff for NSO subscribers
Splatoon stuff
A couple of surprises, I guess
I just hope for a new console man, I have been playing totk and its such a good game but those fps drops ruin so hard the experience for me and then the resolution drops to fricking 500p for some reason every time that I'm on a mountain or in the sky holy shit nintendo
A new wave of Mario kart maps and pikmin

Any Direct with Metroid would be fine by me. I've gotten a few already with Dread and Prime 1
Super mario odyssey 2
nothing, Nintendo got nothing after july. nothing for 2024, 2025, or 2026
I imagine they have a holiday game and then some remasters or ports like the 3DS got at the end of its life.
I just want a Zelda trilogy collection.
It would be the easiest thing in the world to make.
And yet nintendo the king of ports refuses to do so.
Granted, but it's WWHD, Phantom Hourglass and Spirit Tracks
Is that supposed to be a bad thing?
I personally wouldn't mind it. Clean up the controls for the handheld games and upgrade all the assets to match WWHD and I think it'd be a good toon Link bundle
If WW is in it, I'm sold. Not sure how they'd incorporate touch controls though. The switches screen doesn't work in the same way the ds's screen does.
they gotta have something for the holidays even if it's b-tier right? all that's lined up right now is pokemon dlc
What did they have for 2016’s holiday season
>Paper Mario: Color Splash
i'd rather take nothing
that was right before the switch launch and the wii u had been a graveyard for months at that point
sun moon and mario maker 3ds
They had that Nes Classic Mini console which pretty much outsold the wii u lmfao
uhhhh
Mario kart 8 dlc...that gane bandai namco is working on and...idk wind waker and TP hd port?
Yes.
You homosexuals say this every year and then every year Nintendo fills out the second half of the year's release calendar.
nintendo will have a game for august, september, october, and november because they always do. they usually skip december for some reason. they also have zelda, splatoon, pokemon, mario and rabbids, and mario kart dlc. they have retro games coming to nso. they also need to show them before gamescom.
They never have anything to show, it's always just 52 Mario game variants.
Zelda Oracle remakes.
s-silksong?
if they didn't show it at the xbox direct it's unlikely
I'm not even a hollow knight fan, but it's genuinely strange that this game is taking so long. There must be some serious behind-the-scenes drama at work.
Probably a bunch of scope creep happened and now they're worried they can't live up to the hype
How big could the scope of a 2D game possibly be?
It's not surprising at all if you are a big hk fan. Hk is so big that you have a toooon of middle and clueless fans who don't know the history of hk. Xenoblade 4 coming sometime, but before that they might reveal something to do with the Xenosaga series.

As long as they don't cuck drybones again im good.
>Starts out with Prime 4 delayed or cancelled
You're moronic, right?
>>big announcement of the direct is a New Mario or Mario kart
And the crowd goes mild.
lol why would they announce a new MK when they are finishing the dlc this year and it's selling extremely well.
plants vs zombies garden warfare 3

man says for the fiftieth time this year
>switch is coming to the end of it's life
they've already said splat 3 is being supported for at least 2 years
yeah, so that gives us a good time frame for when the next console will come out.
Which just means the next console they plan to make would come out in 2 years and if it's delayed splatoon 3 will get an extra month of content.
They usually announce consoles long before release anyway.
Backwards compatibility.
You're fricking stupid if you think they'd do that mid-life in a game.
Nintendo would be moronic to not capitalize on that possibility
There's nothing stopping them from releasing a new console if Switch games work with it. NSO is supposed to be on future platforms anyway.
>miyamoto announced pikmin 4 back in 2015
Your pasty white fat ass did not fricking know that 4 would be announced during that specific Direct.
yes i did. you can check the archives
Remake twilight Princess. I want to see what the zeldaboomers are talking about when they say “true Zelda game”
they already remade twilight princess. you can play it on cemu
Announce a new handheld already it's been 7 years.
Things are going to be slow until the Super Switch U.
Some zelda dlc, some shovelware mario sports, pikmin and Metroid Prime, maybe some pokemon remake. I wouldn't expect anything else.
It is what it is.
Change your trip name, you're trying way, way too hard.
triggered?
ToTK expansion pass
>ToTK expansion pass
Nintendo is really going to milk this garbage for years, huh...
I'm tired of hearing about this overrated game.
I hope so. The previous one being filled with dlc, ports, and remasters was just depressing.
I mean there could be a game or two we don’t know exists. Isn’t that the point of them?

they said e3 didn't line up with their timeframe. that being said they are going to gamescom and they are hosting nintendo live. they have already announced they won't be making any announcements at these events so if they want to show demos and trailers for upcoming games it would need to be before those events, presumably at a direct.

They pulled out BEFORE E3 was officially cancelled.
Because they already knew it was cancelled, as did literally everyone else in the industry. It was reported nonstop for months
New console in 2024 or 2025?
They could give us a tease next direct if it's coming out next year
All I want is Mario Galaxy 2 on switch.
same but 3D Land.

after the train wreck that was age of calamity? unlikely. they are probably working on something for the launch of the next console
