Yeah, I think I kept him the whole game too. Really good unit, you just wouldn't think a demon could last that long in a party normally, but Idun and Yoshitsune proved me wrong. Really good skills on those two
She's mid game for how incredibly good she is, just give her Bowl of Hygiena (or whatever it's called) for that sweet overhealing.
Idun is like Daisoujou in Nocturne. Technically there are better demons, but you have her available for so much of the game she can carry all the way to the end.

Luck with a bit of Strength was my favorite in base V. I made the build around Profaned Land which at its base has 100% proc rate for poison (then affected by Beano LCK vs enemy LCK). With good LCK its almost impossible not to get 3 procs every boss. The STR was for Venom Chaser which was on every demon of the party.

While I do agree VV is without a doubt game of the year, I enjoyed P3R and found it to be a faithful remake and I'm also looking forward to Metaphor even if you can't marry the fairy.
Xenoblade 3 already saved JRPG.
SMTV wasn't great to begin with and I don't think another route will fix any of it.
Even so, JRPGs are in the pits right now so anything will have to do.
No, SMT V was great. Literally peak JRPG combat and party building, awesome vertical exploration themed level design and understood on a fundamental level that the demons are the stars of SMT.

Ranting a little bit here: Then why your relationships with your party and the demons you help through the game matter nothing in the end? This is something that, after finishing the game twice, kept bugging me a lot, you meet all of these demons through the entire game, some even ask you to side against another in certain quests which I'd expect would have repercusions later in the game, there's even Amanozako who accompanies you through a huge part of the story and by the time you're getting the keys, the game makes you think that she will be pivotal to the end game's plot because she obviously knows way more than she lets on, yet in the end it all devolves back into choosing what color of ending you want to get, with absolute disregard to the party that stuck with you and the demon friends you helped and made along the way, while Amanozako becomes just another disposable demon in your party once you finish her last quest, and from there you never speak with her again. Yeah yeah the Nahobino is so strong, but he has a whole bunch of demons watching his back, at least the game should have made an attempt to acknowledge that.
I was really hoping that the chaos ending would be a world where humans and demons try to coexist, but in the end it was just some dialogue about how gods kept fighting with each other before the credits rolled. I don't know, it just disappointed me.
