Midway treasures vol 3 ( the race game one), tower of druaga on PS2, namco 40th anniversary on PS2 and doa ultimate vol 1 on Xbox. Most of the pawn shops near me have gone PS3 era and forward only so I've been getting PS4 games.
One of my coolest damn Yahoo Auction pickups of all time. Original PlayOnline PS2 beta kit from Japan. This was even before FFXI, it was only the beta for the POL software and TetraMaster.
I got a big box of C&C Red Alert a couple of weeks ago for £1 at a boot fare. It needs a bit of tlc but it came complete with everything. I'll have to take pictures of it later.
You seem like a cool guy who doesn't afraid of everything.
Full 2022 pickups so far. 6 weeks clean, no buying. I'm really close to getting everything I want, but there's a lot of top tier shit that I still want. I have more games that I'll likely be able to play. Do I need to drop another 20k to maybe, probably have everything I want? Hard to say at this point, feels like something to move on from a little bit.
I'll honestly probably go Japan for Hagane, I also have a Super Famicom.
Pocky and Rocky 2, I want to complete the pair with a SNES cart. Because autism.

Fair enough. I had most everything i wanted for nes and snes pre plague spike, but im just going jap for pretty much everything i have left now. I also still want Robotrek just because its the last English release rpg for the system im missing. After that i think im good never getting another ntsc cart for it.
>Kirby's Dreamland 3
This is one of the last few Super Famicom games I want to get, but it randomly got twice as expensive this year and I've got cold feet about buying it at that price for whatever reason.
Shit bro, you have some excellent games in that collection. Love seeing people with vaguely obscure Jap games like Guided Fate Paradox and the Izuna games. You can never go wrong with AC 2 and 4 as well.
Ahh, the old "I know what I have" mentality. Everyone and their brother think they have something worth a fortune. It's quite a greedy and pervasive attitude.
Picked one of these bad boys up earlier this year, comes with everything ever released in the 80s and 90s and even a good chunk of the 2000s. You guys should look into it

Sorry scalper, not buying your disc only RARE LOOK ebay copy.
>the sellers are nips offering to sell outside their country
It's mostly English teachers and military people making up for their shitty wages. I know who I see stocking up on multiples of the same games in Hard Off and it's not the nips.
did you know that apparently there's a canadian version of the game that's completely identical in every way except for a red strip on the label and a different product code? Apparently it's rare but it's not valuable and nobody cares.
Because import gays drive up the prices in Japan by decreasing the supply of games in the domestic market. Over the last few years I've watched games that importgays love steadily go up in price because of these people.
Nobody is going to get locked up for downloading a rom unless they're a moron. That's not the problem. The problem is that the cost of collecting is going up because of manbabies buying games that they can't even read simply because they want to put it on their shelf to collect dust.
No moron, one person buying one copy of millions was never the problem. Its people buying 20 copies and reselling them for more then their normal value. Japan literally has a glut of carts and discs that will never sell and the Japanese dont want them except for a certain minority. Just like outdated sports games, the people who bought them 20 years ago does not want them now and importgays are just taking some of those copies that no one was going to buy regardless. Nothing is stopping a Jap from buying a copy of Clayfighter Sculpters Cut and "decreasing the usa market!!" when its only a small portion of fricks who care about it to begin with, it does not hold its "play value" to many like it did when it was new, only to weirdos.
Get mad at resellers, they are the ones truly hoarding the stuff you want. They see 3 slobs import the same game because its good, welp gotta buy up 30 copies to resell to the next ones that want a copy.
"Wah, i cant read the 2 sentences worth of text in my jap shmup, i just want it for my shelf!"
Come on man.
>Get mad at resellers
The resellers can't sell if the importgays don't buy. I hate you, I hate the resellers, and I hate the middleman websites. You're all cancer and are ruining the domestic retro gaming scene because you're too poor to afford your own. Just emulate.

Imagine you have a hobby. Now imagine the hobby turns to shit because people in China are buying up everything they can get their hands on, but when you say anything about it they say "NO ITS NOT MY FAULT IM ONLY ONE PERSON" as if there weren't millions of those little wienerroaches, and then try to cope by making up a million reasons as to why it was "already shit" before they created the problem.
That's exactly what's happening, except instead of the Chinese it's American land whales.

I'm not getting priced out and I already own a good chunk of games (unlike most here, I do have a large collection). But it makes the hobby less accessible. I like the domestic community and I don't want the hobby to suffer here because of babies who just HAD to put Chrono Trigger on their shelf.
Personally, I will never get priced out.

Which ones? Nme and shame and I'll tell them.
No moron, one person buying one copy of millions was never the problem. Its people buying 20 copies and reselling them for more then their normal value. >No moron, one person buying one copy of millions was never the problem
It's not one person. There's thousands of you homosexuals, hence why he prices are going up.
Imagine if someone came to your room one night to take a strand of your hair. It's just one strand, right? No problem. But when multiple people come every night to take a strand of your hair, after a while you won't have much left, so what remains becomes more valuable.
>Japan literally has a glut of carts and discs that will never sell and the Japanese dont want them except for a certain minority.
It might seem that way from the outside, but to say so only shows that you don't understand the Japanese retro gaming community at all. Most retro gamers here don't build up giant collections like every autistic American YouTuber. Believe it or not, very few collectors in Japan are like Fujita - they imply don't have space for hoarding. Instead they buy and play the games that they want, then sell them back to the recycle shop and get something else to play. It goes unspoken, but he vast majority of retro gamers expect that they can go into a recycle shop and get something to play for a reasonable price so there's no need to hang on to it. If they ever want to play it again they can just buy it again. But because of people like you the prices are going up and availability of certain titles is going down; and yes, Japanese gamers do complain about it.
If you ever livedbin Japan you might notice that almost every time you visit a recycle shop, their selection of games is very different from your last visit. That's because there's a lot of gamers who are constantly buying games and selling back what they already played.
There are SOME games which there are too many of and nobody wants - like that Yugioh game for Gameboy, but that's not not games. And as I've said, the prices for most of he good games are climbing..
Cope and seethe. It's a good thing foreigners are taking games out of Japan because the disgusting humid Japanese weather literally rots away the discs and the manuals. It's heartbreaking seeing so many old games rusting away over there.
>Sonic Advance >Sonic Battle
I had both of these games when I was a kid and I liked them a lot. 2 and 3 are in the mail but I've never played those before. I'm mostly excited for Battle, I hope it holds up.
Sorry Japanbro, but only Japanese games can satisfy my heart
Though it seems even people who used to play this stuff are like "シミュレーション系、当時は楽しんだけど今はめんどくさい、ノベルゲーでいい" or "絵柄古っwww萌えられねえ" and nobody wants these but me
If you can read those then more power to you. My problem is with the people who import Chrono Trigger, Mother etc to put on their shelf to collect dust (because they can't read it) because they HAD to fill it in their collection despite not being able to afford a copy in their language.
Even worse is when they pop it into a retron to play it with a patch and say that they bought it because they "didn't want to emulate"...
So if someone is importing the games that require no text reading, aka the desirable imports, thats fine?
But if its something super text heavy that will "sit on a shelf", aka the cheap stuff you can get for under 1000 yen that they cant give away fast enough, then you are an import scum wienerroach?
Basically retro by now

Not my problem.
Soulless and arguably poor
How’re those sour grapes, anon?
Nice clueless bait.
I got nearly all the game I want though
Nice emulation box
Hardware emulation will never have 1:1 accuracy. USB polling will always give you a nice little frame of lag too.
cope. Ever heard of SNAC? Literally zero (0ms) lag.
Still boring as hell and soulless
Cool Raspberry Pi case, where can I buy one?
Why not just emulate on pc at this point. Neither here nor there
16ms latency totally makes a difference bro
In some games it really does.
One of my coolest damn Yahoo Auction pickups of all time. Original PlayOnline PS2 beta kit from Japan. This was even before FFXI, it was only the beta for the POL software and TetraMaster.
Comes with this heavy as frick aluminum binder with 150+ pages of instructions. The attention to detail on this thing is insane.
Not sure if these were included in the box from Square, but they look like ISP brochures from the period. Pretty interesting.
Also won an auction for a FFXI 360 beta for $2.00.
And an LE FFXI soundtrack for $5.00 that's in pretty decent shape.
Jesus Christ can I buy this off you?
Mario sunshine for 50 cents and a bunch of wii games and accessories for 10. Good haul today.
I got a SwanCrystal and Gunpey.
I got a big box of C&C Red Alert a couple of weeks ago for £1 at a boot fare. It needs a bit of tlc but it came complete with everything. I'll have to take pictures of it later.

I've got a few for my SNES collection and then I'm done:
Harvest Moon
Pocky and Rocky 2
Hagane
Robotrek
UN Squadron
Kirby's Dreamland 3

Should've offered them $3.50.

I bought a sealed copy of nights from ebay in about 2005. The price was $10 free shipping. I still have the game, of course I opened it.
Resident Evil Director's Cut and Wild Arms. RE was a fun time and the little bit of Wild Arms was cool. Really digging the properly western music.
