>I'll check Metal slug. are Steam version good am I better off emulating?
beats me. hadn't played them since i was a kid but they're simple run and gun games with only 3 buttons requires. can't go wrong really so i'm going to say steam. but since they're short, maybe emulate and save yourself the money
There are short tutorials that teach you how individual enemies should be killed, and you start to learn to spot enemies by outline rather than color recognition. It becomes very natural after ~2 hours, but the dev seemed to trade off ease of use for spectacle, which is a weird decision, but the end result is kinda cool.
What counts as short? I was going to recommend torchlight 2, since it's about 30 hours long. Which isn't really that short, but it's short compared to other diabe-girlkes.
>Get ready to kill drug dealers, crime bosses and anyone who stands in your way as you seek revenge for your father’s murder. The Slater is a story-driven first-person stealth-action-puzzle game that puts you in the shoes of a former cop Mark Slater.
The Stanley Parable
Carrion
Superliminal
Bullets Per Minute
Shadow Warrior 2 and 3 are both good but unreasonably short for their price point. If you can pirate them do so, there's no online features for either one so no issues there. SW3 is $40 for like 5 hours of game, it's not even remotely reasonable, do not pay money for it.
hotline miami 1. can be beaten in a few hours
Already played them.
yeah figured, who missed hotline miami lmao. metal slug games? they're shot if you play with infinite coins like you get on steam
I'll check Metal slug. are Steam version good am I better off emulating?
Thx
Or am I*

paratopic?
it's only like 40 minutes
...isn't that what you wanted?
no i was samegayging. god knows what OP means by short games but paratopic is below 1 hour. it's meant to be replayed
Oh I gotcha. Never mind then
Mirror's Edge.
Try Spyro he's short as frick. He's like 2 and a half feet tall
Oh and klonoa. He's probably 3 feet tall
Superluminal is a pretty good short game my playthrough took a little over 2 hours
Russian Roulette with a full cylinder
Furi. Boss rush with 9 bosses (+1 optional. Good music. Great gameplay. Great aesthetic.

Actually breddy gud if you can withstand the optical assault
homie I can't even tell what's going on. Where's the enemy?

Super Hexagon
:^)
Gravity bone (less than an hour).
Thirty flights of loving (less than two I think).
Hellblade is less than 10 hours.
>Thirty flights of loving
Jazzpunk too
Vomitoreum if you like doom clones, Norco if you like point and click adventure games.
one shot is very acknowledged and as somebody who gets filtered by most 2D visual novel sheit, it was a really good game with some actual subtext.

The OP has Superhot which is a very short game. I would hazard a guess he wants games that are similar in length to Superhot.
Ok, fair enough.
Nightmare of decay
Botanicula (or any game by amanita design really) is pretty alright and cutesy. Machinarium is probably the safest bet though.
>Get ready to kill drug dealers, crime bosses and anyone who stands in your way as you seek revenge for your father’s murder. The Slater is a story-driven first-person stealth-action-puzzle game that puts you in the shoes of a former cop Mark Slater.
Judging by the trailer this is the kind of game that will appear on the game equivalent of red letter media in a few decades.
>Slater
I feel like some piece of media has already used this name in some "badass action guy" parody. it just sounds so familiar. maybe the simpsons?
My mind goes straight to Hank Schrader to breaking bad. Perhaps those writers are drawing from some deeper associations we all have.
nah got it. it's schwarzenegger's character from the last action hero
Old Funhaus did a full playthrough. It's an incredibly jank game
And Last Action Hero with Arnold Swarzeneggers character is named Jack Slater
Looked it up now. Pretty dang funny.
>Last Action Hero with Arnold Swarzeneggers character is named Jack Slater
yeah exactly
