The ribbon cable cable inside goes bad 🙁 and replacing it can be a pain in the butt depending on the type of controller.
I got one which turned out to have a detachable ribbon connector at a second hand shop, very lucky!
This was after I broke my controller trying to replace the ribbon cable, lol.

The Ace Combat holy trinity (4, 5 and 0) are all worth playing. I suggest you try all three and just decide for yourself.

Avoid the ones with an H on the back, they're the worst. The M (Mitsumi) and A (Alps) ones usually still work.
