Just finished fallout NV, anyone with a recommendation for a similar game outside the fallout franchise?

>New Vegas
If you want a game about validating your fantasies more than actual role-playing and freedom, try RPGMaker.
Well, tbh I never were really into virtual rpgs, I came directly from dnd, exodus and pathfinder. I played fallout NV because one of my players in the exodus campaign recommended it to me, and I like it that's the reason I posted for recommendations here. If you can present me with a better game that NV, I would be grateful
Do you speak this way to people because you actually think you're better than them? nobody likes a condescending butthole anon, learn some modesty
>Do you speak this way to people because you actually think you're better than them?
Why don't you ask this question to every fan of New Vegas ever, who thinks it's the gold standard of RPGs and anyone who disagrees is a braindead troglodyte?
>insane generalization of a massively popular game because no argument
OP was literally just asking an innocent question and you gave him shit for it, frick off with this non-reason
Forsooth! Thine peasantry hath meager appeal of se swine! Banish thyself, knave!
kys
>the various endings aren't bad enough for it to have ACTUAL roleplaying
Disliking things isn't a personality trait
Not him but people need to stop saying this. Liking things is also not a personality trait.
Nobody said it was, the point is that being needlessly contrarian doesn't make you smarter than everyone else, it just makes you look like an irrational homosexual
You can try browsing Reddit.
ATOM
This
Specifically ATOM: Trudograd since its leagues better than ATOM
> an FPS/RPG set in a postapocalyptic world with branching story and multiple endings
i gotcha anon
Jank galore. The game is ok, the dev deserves praise though.
Wasteland 3
Kenshi maybe.
If you liked the serious parts and shooting then the Metro series.
Skyrim
Vampire the masquerade bloodlines
>starts dry humping you
deus ex if you don't care about old gameplay
deus ex: human revolution if you do
-VTMB
-Deus Ex™: Warren Spector Chad of The Decade Edition
-Mount and Blade: Warband
witcher 3
Well OP, id say the STALKER trilogy, despite that it is not postapocaliptic perse despite how it looks, it actually feels low in rpg elements, and it doesn't have the techno cowboy style of New Vegas.
But the rest, i feel it nails it.
Especially the atmosphere.
Just be warned, this is a slav game. So there is bound to be many bugs, but not as many as Bugthestas kek
STALKER is too "open", brainlet like him would get filtered.
How has no one mentioned skyrim?
Morrowind for a game with the same sort of character charm. Underrail for a game that matches the Fallout mood with but with a lot of effort put into small things. New Vegas is hard to really match up to because it occupies a pretty perfect space between that old school TLC in its systems and developer forethought while still maintaining a fair bit of modern gameplay to it.
>The Outer Worlds
It is made by the same guys
Main difference is that the Outer Worlds is spaces western not post-apo.
Gameplay is similar but more polished and different enough that you didn't feel like you just play Fallout 3 mod.
>It is made by the same guys
No it's not
The difference is that the Outer Worlds is a boring, uninspired game that is not worth the 20hrs it takes to complete that steaming pile of utter mediocrity
It just a matter of taste.
The Outer World was like somebody made a game for me.
I love it and I didn't reagent that I spend 53 hours in it.
I know it is not perfect. Some side quest are a little boring and final boss is not very original.
If you don't like it it is fine.
if you're into turn based and the post apocalyptic setting + your decisions actually mattering try the shin megami tensei series
i recommend starting with iii or iv
Try Skyrim
even if the mechanics are similar, being in a cold setting will always make it feel different from Vegas.
