Red pill me on this game
I'm going to try it again
I'm assuming it's best to not keep companions on unless do they get you job experience?

why would you turn them off just leave them until you actually have played the game enough to give you a reason
great game
So I come from the other thread, is it a long game? Good and enjoyable?
have you ever played Nioh?
No, I only recently decided to try out JRPGs, and notably Final Fantasy.
its an action game, you got your dodging and attacking and your guard but you're able to play as all the different final fantasy job classes, Its not an overly long game and I personally enjoyed it enough to name it my goty in 2022
I'd recommend it but maybe pirate it first so you can try it out and then you can buy it if you want to
The only FF thing about this game s the name if you ask me. Try playing one of the classics first instead.
Ah yes the classic JRPG: Nioh
No companions is easy mode. They die immediately and enemy health is reduced when solo
kino no companions it is
Are you serious about the health thing? I wish the game would tell you that. That's fricking huge.
the combat is really good but the DLC gets really repetitive
NIOH 1/2 is still better
SOP has edgy/cringe charm
What? No. Keep your companions. They get new jobs so switch their jobs every once in a while.
It's like 20 hours long.
It’s kino
are the magic jobs any good or should I just stick to shit like the monk
Also does the lancer ever get fun
companions are easy mode
magic jobs are quite good. some are OP
job selection for physical jobs doesn't mean much actually because you can swap weapons and specials out between jobs. so the job is just 1 special move and some passives basically. you should just switch all the time so you can get moves from everything
It's fun, greatsword's a good weapon.
Companions don't give you job experience, only level their own ones
As for keeping them it's the same as MH cats - when you're bad the AI targetting someone else is a welcome break, when you're good it's frustrating since it's less predictable. They don't make much of a difference in terms of damage anyway
is the DLC included in the PC version
no but just pirate it since the devs deserve it for releasing on the china malware store
i got it on sale on EGS...can I even make the DLC work with it if I pirate
yes
cs.rin.ru
The deluxe edition on Steam has it
It's always best to keep them on. They distract enemies and do free damage.
The banter is worth it
>Found some cubes
It has fun combat and you get to hear the word chaos about one thousand times. The job system is also nice.
Companions don't do much for you aside from distracting enemies sometimes. I like having them around for the banter. Levels feel lonely when it's just Jack around. It's an amazing game at any rate, an action game with FF's jobs was a brilliant idea.
I wish that XVI had classes. If XVI and Dragons Dogma 2 could be combined it would certainly be the best game ever made.
sophie has some really good CC if you rally her. neon is very tanky and none of the companions do much damage so its better to just use neon over the others
