Whoever designed rail canyon and bullet station, i want them to kill themself
>blaming the devs because you're suck shit and are too low IQ
You should die instead.
>complaining about rail grinding kino with the best baseline in vidya
have a nice day out of Ganker.
The only level allowed to be complained about from heroes is Hang Castle as the Chaotix.
Not even doing that homosexual contrarian thing on Ganker, but those are probably my favorite levels lmao
Even if it controls like complete jank in crucial areas, it still has some of the best music of any sonic game
>>Has the best level design in a 3D game
Yeah! I love those 9 minute stages!
The level length in Heroes is fine you moronic wienersucker.
The best part of this is, you probably think the mech stages in SA2, where they're over in 3-4 minutes, are too long, yet you're fine with Heroes having 8-12 minute levels lmao
>Chooses to play as the team with longest stages
>According to your own score you went out of your way to NOT play as the speed character
>Time Bonus of 8560
>Literally in the lowest fricking tier of time bonuses
>Complains about the stages taking a long time
1. You have to play with all four teams to get the Last story.
2. It's Bingo Highway, dumbass.
For frick's sake, if you're going to come on Ganker to b***h about how some worthless pile of shit game is actually good, bring your A game.
5 minutes max is still preposterously long compared to SA1/2 levels, and with that length, losing your score and levels is fricking absurd
SA1/2 stages are too short considering there's only 10 speed stages in each game.
They each have multiple missions and they're actually fun to replay for better ranks, because the only level that takes more than 5 minutes in the entire game is Cosmic Wall and maybe Cannon's Core
>bingo tables
Forgive me for not being godly at the jankiest part of the entire game lmao
I got an A rank anyways you goofy Black person, what does that tell you about how long they anticipated the stage taking? I don't care what autistic shit speedrunners get up to
>too much content
Funny way of saying "too much of the same setpieces copied and pasted again and again and again to pad out the level" lol
You think that Forces levels were good because they dont waste your time then?
Not him, but from the boost era I think Unleashed or Generations will be the sweetspot for level length. Not too short and not too long
Unleashed Daytime Stages are the perfect length IMO. Generations stages can go by a bit too fast once you're good enough at the game.
>if you don't like incredibly long levels, you must love incredibly short levels!
No
Team Rose's stages were about the right length, maybe a bit longer would work, but later Sonic and Dark stages are absurd.
>mad
I'm only really mad at your ridiculous bullshit about Heroes being this misunderstood masterpiece.
It's barely-functional slop with levels that go on for ages unless you're a guy who plays the game for 50 hours to master every intricacy and quirk it has.
Nah, answer his question. Also explain where 'destroy all 100 enemies' and 'extinguish all the red torches' fits in with classic level design.
>who plays the game for 50 hours to master every
You mean a gamer. Get the frick off of Ganker you frickwit normalgay, you dont like videogames, you like quick hits of dopamine. Go watch some reels, maybe they'll fit your zoomie attention span.
I play good games like Adventure and Adventure 2. I don't play your shit slop with a nonsensical team gimmick that the game tries to justify retroactively by plastering every stage with the same set pieces again and again.
>oh look, a pole I have to use the tornado jump with!
>oh, a ledge that's slightly too high up so I need to use fly formation!
>oh, a propeller I need to... also use the tornado jump with!
>a giant fan! time to break out the triangle dive!
Why in the frick should I devote 40 more hours to a game where every level is 1/6th of an hour on its own? Why not just play a good game instead?
>Nah, answer his question
His question is moronic because that image says nothing about the length of the stages and is comparing the similarities in how Classic Sonic and Heroes levels have tiered pathways rewarding the player for staying on the higher routes. Jesus Christ, Heroes haters really are low IQ.
>His question is moronic because that image says nothing about the length of the stages
Huh. Why not?
Also is that in all Heroes stages, or is that just a single cherry-picked segment? Can you show examples of tiered stage design in Rail Canyon or Mystic Mansion?
The image itself says it's not as prevalent as in the Classic games and is only sprinkled throughout the game. Heroes is a mix of levels with tiered paths and more linear SA2-like stages. Off the top of my head, other levels that do the tiered design besides Power Plant are Casino Park, Frog Forest, Lost Jungle and Egg Fleet.
Does it really appear more often than in SA1 or 2 then? In 2 alone, I can recall that type of design in
>City Escape, Green Forest, Mission Street, Hidden Base, Pyramid Cave, Final Rush, Radical Highway, White Jungle, Sky Rail, Final Chase
Some of those you mentioned are linear as frick like Green Forest and Radical Highway. The only speed stage in SA2 that actually felt like it wasn't trudging you along one single linear path was Final Rush.
>I got an A rank anyways you goofy Black person
Yeah, and you're still mad.
>what does that tell you about how long they anticipated the stage taking?
Basically nothing, but no duh you can end up with more points if you drag your ass through the stage and can make up the difference
You can beat Bingo Highway in like 3 minutes.
>MOOOOOOM THIS GAME THAT I WANT TO PLAY IS GIVING ME TOO MUCH CONTENT!? IT TAKES 6 MINUTES TO PLAY A STAGE BEFORE PUTTING DOWN THE CONTROLLER! IM ONLY CAPABLE OF ENJOYING MY SLOP IN 3 MINUTE INTERVALS!!1! OMFG IM GOING INSANE
Heroes would've been more loved if it came out today, seeing how every game nowadays is long and has a lot of repeating content. The game being bad for having too much content is no longer an invalid opinion to have, in my opinion.
>games today are long
Bless your little monkey attention span. Be a good bawd and im sure one of these kind anons will fit a banana up your hungry ass pussy.
What the frick are you even trying to say, besides random nonsense?
Uh oh the frustrated monkey is having a fit of tard rage, best head to reddit or discord so all your friends can take care of that aching anus of yours. And hey with that tiny attention span you won't even remember what a colossal gay you've been.
What shithole are you from?
Better than the 45 second stages in Forces. Hell, I even thought Generations stages were too short. Heroes stages are perfect. 10 minutes when you're new and shit at the game and they can be shaved down to 5 minutes max when you git gud on replaythroughs.
5 minutes if youre an average player moron. You just suck at bingo tables.
Unironically, get good.
I thought this had a PC port.
It does.
It's not very good apparently so most people just emulate the Gamecube version with button prompt retextures.
It does.
But for some reason it never got the steam version.
It never got a steam version because Renderware is dead as frick, same with shadow the hedgehog they'd have to remake the entire ass game
It does but it's an old PC port from 2004/2005 that's not very good and also has some weird quirks/bugs not in the Gamecube version. Heroes really needs a rerelease.
Only Sonic fans with high IQ can recognize all the things Heroes did better than other 3D Sonic games.
Black person what
What classic Sonic levels take longer than 10 minutes?
Congratulations at completely misunderstanding the image.
It's a Sonic game with segments where you need to kill like 3 to 6 robots to open a gate and keep going. I don't think you can defend it.
>It's a Sonic game with segments where you need to kill like 3 to 6 robots to open a ga-
"OH NO NO NO NO I'M LOW IQ!!!!"
You know that skip was never intended. And isn't universal.
>Literally give you a character that can fly over shit
>You have access to this character at all times
>You're not intended to be able to fly over things
This is the most moronic logic I've ever seen, of course a Heroesgay is using it.
>it's possible, therefore it's intended!
Like oh of course you're expected to just jump off a rail in Final Rush and float down to the goal ring, right?
>You're intended to jump across the platforms in space
Anon, you say that like people were NOT supposed to know you can skip the spring tower in Radical Highway.
Even though that's literally mandatory for the 3 minute challenge
Yeah, it seems like a pretty easy oversight.
It's mostly the principle that pisses me off. You are stopping what people play these games to be a bad action game.
True but if you think outside the box, you'll find plenty of ways to skip combat sections that people think are forced because they don't bother to actually try. Also some of them are definitely intended, like in Lost Jungle where instead of fighting those two big guys inside the mushroom, you can climb the area before hand, free a frog, and it makes a vine grow that lets you grind over the entire battle.
>can hear the UWEHN in my head every time he flies
Doesn't that only happen with hammer guys and notmacross robots?
So, like 5~ times?
The fricking rails don’t work. 9 times out of 10 Sonic/Shadow just murder/suicides the team when trying to transfer.
>Shadow the Hedgehog finally made rail switching work
>but took out the fun balancing mechanic
Always 1 step forward 2 steps back with Sonic Team
