regardless of what goes down I'm at the very least grateful that I can actually criticize 5e without a bunch of "W-well creative dms would be able to circumvent those issues" and "You're just being mean to new players" as I rec them fucking barbarians of lemuria.

    > I can actually criticize 5e
I wish people could do that honestly though, and not just be waging a shitposting war where they exaggerate how much they hate the game just for attention.

I hate the game because it's combat is a slog, it has too much bad math and it leaves it's rules up in the air while also forcing you to read through loads of text that barely explains everything.
It's like that mark twain saying about how "If I had more time I would've wrote a shorter letter"

        >I hate the game
Imagine wasting your life hating a game, and then trying to justify your petty rage online.

        > I can actually criticize 5e
        >without a bunch of "W-well creative dms would be able to circumvent those issues"

or retards claiming that criticism = shitposting...

        >there's no shitposting!
        >on Ganker!
        oh okay

Who are you even quoting? Clearly not me because I never wrote that, gay.

Pretending that we need to treat shitposts like anything other than shitposts because you think we need to protect "criticism" is troll logic.

Arguing you believe in your shitpost, and that makes it not a shitpost, is still troll logic.

I personally think Exalted is gay. I do not make threads going "Man, it's great I can say that Exalted is shit" or asking people "Have you stopped playing Exalted yet?" or other nonsense, because that would be trolling.

This shouldn't need to be explained, but here we are.

If you ever find yourself supporting DnD, you should honestly consider killing yourself.
This isn't a shit post. I honestly think to get to that point in your life you must have made some very terrible mistakes.

If you have to specify that it’s not a shitpost it’s almost definitely a shitpost

Sometimes the truth sounds like a shit post.

Sounds like something a shitposter would say

            >i honestly believe this!
            Then you're honestly a retard.
            Like, listen to these words.
            You. Are. A. Fucking retard.

There's less than a 1% chance you'll be able to realize this, but it being non-zero means that least bit of kindness should be shown you. Hopefully, even if it's not today, you'll remember you said what you said, and realize how fucking retarded a person would have to be to actually think "People shouldn't be tired of my shitposting mindlessly because I've decided to dedicate myself to hating a game about dragons and elves! They have no reason to find any error in my ways! My shitposting is just, because I've convinced myself I genuinely want people to die over liking a game!"

/tg/ would be vastly improved by both your arms getting caught in an industrial fan, ripped ragged away from your torso, and you losing all ability and interest in wasting your time shitposting here, but it's not like I'd actually want that to happen to you.

Still, the amount that /tg/ would improve if you lost access to here is really astounding. I'm not going say to stay away from any industrial fans you come across.

I don't hate 5e, but the books really are a testament to writing without saying anything, they achieved even a dm screen that is mostly filler

Sometimes it’s warranted because D&D players don’t stay in their containment threads but people go into the 5eg to cry about 5e constantly

I DO hate 5e, and I say that having run it myself and played two other campaigns of it. They made their rules system as barebones in the actual meat of combat, movement and infrastructure of a setting as possible so people would be forced to homebrew solutions for everything, overloaded on fluff and gimmick supplements also generally created 3rd party, and proceeded to turn around and shit all over both these groups keeping their awful bland rules-lawyerific edition afloat.

If that's all it takes for you to hate something, imagine how upset you're going to be when you actually get a chance to play a game instead of just shitposting online about them.
