I've never said you don't get unavoidable EVs. I'm saying that if you need them to beat the game you're bad, because a basically 0 EV garchomp can still sweep most of the elite 4.

Now why do you need inflated stats to beat the game? It's just one question that you've been avoiding the whole time. I'm just going to assume you'll say something moronic and that you don't need them, in which case.

confirmed moron that doesnt understand how the EV system works. a pokemon that has been with you all game does more damage and is bulkier from having killing pokemon over the course of a playthrough making it better than a naked new evolved garchomp found out in the wild. if a person has a team of 6 by victory road and replaces their torterra for a garchomp that's shooting themselves in the foot.

      >GSC
Kanto is pretty skimpy, there's barely any trainer battles or areas to explore. I'll admit the boss rush of the kanto gym leaders is quite a solid amount to do though, but I still feel like Sinnoh has more to do postgame overall between all the repeatable content from the main game, 7 new routes, a handful of new dungeons, the battle tower, swarms + pokeradar + dongle method giving you TONS of new mons to explore, and so on.

it's supposed to give the game longevity in postgame and multiplayer. GF doesn't care about your campaign autism, the game doesn't end when you beat the champion, you're supposed to keep collecting Pokemon and battling your friends, and they left some rare ones for you to be excited about and work towards. it's just not compatible with this autism people have where they need to craft a perfect team (of ONLY current gen mons) during the story.
