>release game on steam
>it still has denuvo despite being cracked 9 months ago
>requires epig gaymes launcher to play
Why are publishers so fricking dumb? It would probably cost them $1000 total in dev fees to remove these things but they'd rather not. Why even release on steam if you're not willing to do the barest minimum?
Nothing Ever Happens Shirt $21.68 |
DMT Has Friends For Me Shirt $21.68 |
Nothing Ever Happens Shirt $21.68 |
But maaaaaaan, that would take like, so much effort!!
>playing a game via steam's DRM is already a hurdle race
>devs add two more hurdles
>players act like they're being wronged
babies
>requires epig gaymes launcher to play
It doesn't tho. It installs Epic Online Services for crossplay, but you don't even need an Epic account.
it does open yourself to tim's spyware though and prevents the game from being played offline
your claim and picture do not align anon
why lie
Hope you never installed a game that's using Unreal Engine 4 or 5.
Hope you didn't buy Elden Ring because that's got "tim's spyware" on it too
no it doesn't?
Elden Ring uses EAC
Wrong shovelware, that was Armored Core.
>it still has denuvo
No matter how much Ganker / piratetards tries to push this, no one cares.
So why are the reviews only 64% positive
Do you even look at the screenshots you post? Out of the 5 people only one mentions Denuvo. The rest complain about Epic Online Services.
pedantic Black person
>gabe shill brigade attack anyone who dare not to release game on steam day 1
many such cases, sad
especially since game is great, easily the best zombie slasher
yikes dude. This isnt even close to Dying Light level
Dying Light > Dead Island 2 > Dead Island > Dying Light 2
Even then Dying Light only got that good after 5 years of updates and patches
I wasnt expecting DI2 to be a linear Marvel script experience. Maybe that's my fault.
>heh Steam isn't a monopoly, just release elsewhere
>HUH YOU RELEASED ELSEWHERE?? HERE'S A NEGATIVE REVIEW YOU FRICKING SELLOUT
Why are you gaymers such pieces of shit
All the console war tribalists made the leap to PC
>only people that give a shit are neckbeards on 4chins
lmao as usual
1 wasn't great
Riptide (only got because it was free on Steam) is the same shit
Why the frick would I get 2
It's made by Dambusters, ex-Timesplitters devs (though don't let that be the selling point), they made Homefront: The Revolution. While generic I had a ton of fun exploring the red zones and the weapon modding was hilarious. Give how much I enjoyed H:TR I thought'd I'd at least play DI2 sometime for the exploration and dropkicking zombies, but Ill hold off a bit longer.
Fun fact: Homefront The Revolution also had tons of performance issues at launch. Those all went away when they removed Denuvo.
and?
The previous entries were awful, so why play DI2?
>I didn't personally like the previous games, so why should I play the sequel?!
nobody cares about you specifically why the frick are you in this thread?
DI2 is great game, why the frick anyone would care about whatever was before DI2
Seriously, name what is wrong with DI2 beside common practices such as Denuvo or not being on Steam day 1
>DI2 is great game
then why are the Steam Reviews "mixed" and a 73 on Metacritic?
>steam reviews
denuvo and epic
>metacritic
low budget game so reviewers weren't paid
>denuvo and epic
not an argument to the quality of the game
That was an argument to the mixed reviews moron
>moving the goalposts
you asked why the reviews were bad
Tell the Steam reviewers that because 95% of the negative reviews are just "grrr me no like epic, and the other 5% are "game is too short"
How dare people dislike a multiplayer game being delayed AND dead?
The mid 70s range is a "jank kino" range for games like God Hand. Perfectly fine games that just exist to have mindless fun, and anybody wanting more than that was expecting way too much from a sequel to Dead Island that spent a decade in development hell
>Reviews
You are being serious right now? Literally nobody but morons give a damn about what bunch of morons wrote anywhere and as evidence above you can see that people b***h not about gameplay but Denuvo and game being on Unreal engine
Playing sker Ritual instead by indie devs there loss I guess.
I see the DI2 shills are in full force
>It would probably cost them $1000 total in dev fees to remove these things
oooooor...
hear me out here...
they spend 0 dollars and steampiggies buy it anyways and it sells the exact same

Steamies will lap it all up. Zombies pew pew pew
I'm sure there's an audience for this, but frick am I burnt out on zombie games, especially one with floating number bullshit.
it takes 10 seconds to open the options and disable healthbars and damage numbers
I agree that it's fricking moronic that they're even there and by default at that, but complaining about it is pointless if they give you an option to turn em off
