You forgot the part where those gems can only be used to pay for 50% of a purchase. You can't buy anything with the gems and you still need to the the other half the required gem amount. Also it's gems spent which means it doesn't take into account the multitude of ways you can get very nice, very rare, very expensive skins without spending gems directly purchasing it or a pack or bundle with it. Your next reply will probably be something about how paypiggies get what they get or frick skins who gives a frick about a skins. Well those paypiggies and morons who care about skins are the only ones playing SMITE.

Skins do carry over in CS and OW and the 2 in those are just an excuse for implementing a new engine and updating things like UI. It is a lame trend but hirez is an order of magnitude scummier than those examples

The issue with OW2 is that the first said they would port everything over only to lie, and to top it all off OW2 is in pretty much the same engine so they have no excuse. Smite at least is being up front about it.
