If you think that's bad Capcom remade a game that was 6 years ago.

The whole reason why they're remaking this game has nothing to do with technical limitations of the time and how it affected the story they wanted to tell rather now they can shoe horn more globohomosexual propaganda they wished they could have said back in 2012/2013.

A certain type of >person will say you're just being a paranoid racist, misogynist, bigot sandwich etc but these same >people are going to be the ones celebrating on twitter with their anime avatars when that exact thing ends up being what happens.

    Because they know that there's already a built-in audience for a remake/remastering.

Why spend a lot more money on making a new IP that might not sell instead of focusing on creating a remake/remastering that's a fraction of the cost that you know fans will like?

They want to make it clear that Ellie is a lesbian (which only came about in the DLC), and they want to make it clear that Joel is a bad man. Any subtle or nuance the original version had will be removed.

They also have to replace all the models of everyone Joel kills with blacks and hispanics to make it clear how evil he is.

      This.
      >Joel; less sympathetic, more ruthless, will be humbled by Ellie but still scumbag enough that his death in 2 is more justifiable and acceptable.
      >Tes; clearly Joels handler and more independent as survivalist and not even needing Joels strength and durability to survive
      >The black dude and his lil brother; heroic, kind, teaches and humbles Joel before their deaths.
      >David the cannibal; ignorant, conservative, even more rapey and creepy
      >Ellie, clearly les, more independent and hardened about the world, doesn't need to learn as much from Joel about the world and need as much protection. Yas queen!!!

Joel is portrayed as a fricking saint and martyr in TLOU2, but you wouldn't know since you haven't played it.

Which is also nuking his character, moron. Joel was completely pussified in the sequel. Him being so softspoken and sad faced and then given a halo.

No it wasn't nuking his character, it showed how much he cared about Ellie and how much of a good influence she had on him, their relationship is built throughout the first game, have you not paid attention ?

    What is there to remake?
I don't think gaming has evolved enough in the past 8 years to warrant a remake.

    They're remaking it because:

    - most successful Naughty Dog game ever (over 18 million copies sold)
    - HBO series coming out around the same time as remake; both will fuel hype for one another. Vidyagays reminded to watch HBO series, TVgays enticed by series will buy the video game
    - they already have the assets from TLOU2, will be minimal effort just to use them to remake the first game
    - Kneel Cuckmann will likely add new cutscenes or change old ones to match the sequel and the HBO series

You're only rerarded if you buy this and support them.

If it’s Naughty Dog doing the remake, they’re probably going to make it fit with the story of the second game (which was terrible, mind you). They’re going to change the generic zombie story to a generic zombie story but now with two angry lesbian teens and I bet we get an underage lesbian make out scene when Ellie is 14 and people will praise it for being art

    >How did we get here?
When snoys proved they have the absolute worst taste and will accept any gruel chucked in their trough, this is the result. Sony is by far the worst propagator of the remakes and remasters trend plaguing this industry.

Are they gonna change every model so that they will look like their live action counterpart? I don't want them to change Sara bros...

    >The Last of Us looked pretty good in 2013
    >the PS4 port was actually perfectly acceptable and could be played on your PS5
    >"let's remake it"
i really do not understand this
Making a PS5 enhanced edition where you maybe add a few more effects or change some textures would make sense, but full on remake? C'mon.
