i suggest playing the remaster due to its support of high resolutions, optional hd sprites, included mission packs and bonus features
and also it has normal working multiplayer
Everyone knows about that feature my low IQ friend. The game shows you how to switch on the first level. lol
Dose not change the fact the new graphics are ugly as frick. You are dumb assuming someone doesn't know how to switch to old graphics because he said the new ones were ugly. lol
I enjoyed the ultracompressed music they used on that one, and I think there was something highly SOVLful about the FMVs being reduced to powerpoint slideshows with a voiceover. Considering most of the TD videos were just a guy talking directly to the camera, it didn't detract much from the experience. >disclaimer: I'm moronic
>still no RA2/TibSun remake
I'm currently replaying TibSun anyway so I'm less fussed about that one. But RA2 is a right ol Black person to get running on modern systems without wasting an afternoon with fan patches.
Fore me, RA2 plays almost without a hitch. For the issues that do occure, I search for a solution one time and write or copy it into a text file for fututre reference. After that, it's just down to installing and following the steps from the text file. Maybe 15 minutes of additional effort, probably less if you're comfortable around cofig files and the command line. Hardly an afternoon, I'd say.
Still, I agree upon the point that a proper remaster of Tiberian Sun and Red Alert 2 in the vein of the remastered collection for the first two titles would be highly appreciated.
Opensource "remakes" are usually garbage because they're filled with whatever homosexual >balance patches the 1 man dev team likes to make his chosen faction godlike.
This is the future you have chosen corporate cuck, now, go suck some more of that EA's dick in hopes of another mobile trash or demaster outsourced to Malaysians.
P.S., why would you want to get yourself banned from the place where redditors like you come to say the N-word?
The only things you could argue the original version has over the remaster are: >videos are not AI upscaled >some unit names that got changed due to copyright reasons (see Humvee) but which can be modded back in
Everything else is a net improvement in the remaster.
>I love the remaster except for the awful AI upscaled cutscenes.
This, I don't understand why people like them. To me it looks like a messy oil painting. I swear this shit is going to age like milk.
>Try remaster. >Try to zoom out.
What the FRICK were they thinking? >But that's how it was in 1995.
I'd play the fricking DOS version if I wanted to go fricking blind, I don't have a 12" monitor anymore you sad boomer fricks. Right now literally any open source implementation is better than this. >But it'll make m-m-muh radar useless!
I don't fricking caaaaaare.
CnCnet is the best way to play it, Remastered fricks with the classic keys and panel so you are NOT really paying the original game, just a idiotic modernized version for morons. Also people in the remastered version play at a "normal" speed which makes me want to butcher them. Also Red Alert 1 its superior, Tiberian Dawn is considered broken because of the superiority of NODS bikes
I'd play the DOS versions first if you have any intentions to play the Remaster for any reason.
>Remastered fricks with the classic keys
Rebinding my keys right now, does anyone actually use the faction specific binds? "Alt+I" for GDI to build a flame tank for example.

I hate the new graphics but the remaster comes with all the content. That alone makes it worth playing over any version.
stupid homosexual
What a low IQ Post.
>I hate the new graphics
Good job calling yourself out for being too fricking moronic to not know about one of Remastered's highlighted features, the graphics switching.
The most useful feature in the Demaster after the jukebox and uninstall button
Everyone knows about that feature my low IQ friend. The game shows you how to switch on the first level. lol

Is there a remaster of this C&C yet?
Which installment of Command and Conquer was picrel?
If yes did they keep using the ad
The original C&C had ads like that.
Get Remaster on sale or steam key seller
I regret not picking it up when it was 85% off or something like that. Waiting for a similar high discount again
Pirate remaster, why would anybody choose DOS version over it?
Pirate Generals Zero Hour and download mod Tiberian Dawn Redux
Win95 version > Remaster >>> DOS
At least the Windows 95 version can support higher resolutions.
why do you Gankertards come here to make a whole thread for one question. Frick off
emulate ps1 version
the 64 version has 3d models instead of sprites. fun fact

Sounds like someone covered the C&C music for use in Duke Nukem 3D, lol.
you can always just press space to return to classic graphics
TIB sun remaster when?
Also Remaster since you can flip the graphics back to the good stuff. Am I the only one that prefers the old look?
i prefer the old look but at the same time the old sprites are so low resolution its hard to differentiate some units
the intsallation wizard is a big part of the charm. i say go dos and install directly from cd and play on a crt monitor.
The installation wizard is in remaster.

OpenRA
Are you serious
Opensource "remakes" are usually garbage because they're filled with whatever homosexual >balance patches the 1 man dev team likes to make his chosen faction godlike.
>look at me being contrarian
No (you)s for you.
YWNBAW troony Down Demastered Collection berry boy
Deranged, nonsensical, mentally ill third worlder post. Rangeban Russia and South America when?

Vanilla Conquer
anyways, I have a key for the C&C remaster on origin that I got by mistake from a reseller site thinking it was for steam. Anyone want it?
Bring back the pixels, I love the remaster except for the awful AI upscaled cutscenes.
>I love the remaster except for the awful AI upscaled cutscenes.
This, I don't understand why people like them. To me it looks like a messy oil painting. I swear this shit is going to age like milk.
There's a mod that adds in all the DOS cutscenes on the steam workshop.

No idea what the frick you're even talking about, moron. Works with my eyes. Maybe gets some glasses you blind frick?
I think he's talking about how the original graphics on the remaster look bad compared to regular CNC.
They should of added some filtering to smooth it out.
Win 95
