if you don't find a village to sleep in, you should easily find 3 sheep before nightfall on day 1 and make a bed.
i haven't endured a night in minecraft in years
After playing Vintage Story I just can't go back to minecraft
yeah yeah i know VS is just modded minecraft but it's just so much more comfy, minecraft feels sterile in comparison even modded
yes to both but the multiplayer community is a lot smaller. /vm/ has a vintage story thread with a couple different servers, I've played with some of them and had fun
yes it was back when i bought the alpha and would post on Ganker about the friday updates, eventually posting about notch's generous personal vacation policy, and later about how all the shit being added was unsubstantial
I just recently played for the first time again after like an actual decade, and my only real complaint are these new stone variants (and copper) that shit up the inventory within seconds during mining.
It's absolutely laughable though how little has changed in that time.
I was running the better minecraft modpack 1.16 forge version when I took that. The mods in the pic would be >stay true texture pack >oh the biomes, upgrade aquatic, environmental, terra incognita for trees/wood >the grave yard for black metal fence >charm for lanterns probably
I miss when there were a lot more complete texture packs that actually let you choose a different style to everything. Only ones that still are around nowadays are SphaxBD's pack. So much incomplete garbage or out of date packs are on the old sites.
Oh god even looking into it further minecraft.net has a bunch of paid shit, fricking disgusting. Is planetminecraft still the go-to or is whatever texture-packs.com the main site now?
Most of the popular old packs are still kicking last I checked. As a whole, I feel as if the resource pack scene simply switched from quantity to quality. I'm really enjoying this new trend of CiT packs becoming full fledged mods too
I had a .txt from around 10 years ago that I used and sphax was the only one I remembered immediately from it along with some others that might not be so popular like Aleph Setei. Mods are cool but I'd rather have the textures change than any sort of reworkings elsewhere.
yeah beta 1.4 update and the drama surrounding it ruined the fricking game and proved that the game's development was only going to get worse from there
yeah
Hey, how’d you get a picture of my first house?
You can still make a dirt house in mc
Also, if you didn't dig yourself into the ground on your first night, you missed out
if you don't find a village to sleep in, you should easily find 3 sheep before nightfall on day 1 and make a bed.

>dark grass instead of the neon green og grass
soulless
After playing Vintage Story I just can't go back to minecraft

>Vintage Story
Is it actually good?
Does it have multiplayer?
yes to both but the multiplayer community is a lot smaller. /vm/ has a vintage story thread with a couple different servers, I've played with some of them and had fun
No one asked.
buy an ad chink
i dont like it, it took all the worst ideas from the grindiest tree-twerking dirt-sieving autism mods

sus
>his minecraft doesn't have soul
sounds like a you problem
which mods? looks real cozy.

everything is locked behind patreon now or get the "free x16 resolution version"

>pic
is THIS a mod? jesus christ
Yep it's Yuushya Townscape, everything is craftable in survival too
Fricking sick, thank you anon

Apparently I wasn't the only one who used Aleph Setei either
minecraft is just a canvas for you to express yourself
if it doesn't have soul, it just means you aren't putting your soul into it
Vintage Story is reminiscent.
>newbie dark green grass
>no green top
>building in a mountain biome
can i copy your house?
Best modpack?
Im currently looking at "Dawncraft" but I'm not sure if I like the whole le quests aspect. Any other recommendations?
really enjoying the generation terralith with biomes o plenty
Dang, this looks great. Is it too heavy on the CPU?
a bit stuttery until the chucks get generated, but that's how vanilla 1.20 runs for me
>install ps1 datapack
>soul restored
I would get a head ache real quick playing with that
Why are PS1 graphics such a meme now?
Indie devs keep marketing their pixelated filter vomit as "ps1 style" and a few got popular so the bandwagon got rolling.
For me, it was dookucraft
I just want seasons. Man I'm so fricking sick of this boring shit. I want it to snow in my biome.
get mods to give the soul back that microshit stole
>minecraft tried to replicate this with lush caves
>it's worse
What mod homie
yeah beta 1.4 update and the drama surrounding it ruined the fricking game and proved that the game's development was only going to get worse from there
