Kino game.
It is bad only the gameplay is 10/10
>Only the most important element of the video game is good.
>anon can't read
>Hot women in coomer outfits
So?
Still the best version of ATB they have ever done.
I just think about the guy who's friends grandma died because her grandson got humiliated in front of everyone with the opening
Man I loved X2. It's one of the few FF games I actually 100%.
I wish they hadn't nerfed cat nip in the rereleases though.
>mfw Trainer Yuna
I do a yearly replay.
Play FFX for 30-50 hours of an initial playthrough then boot this up, such a tone shift whiplash and feels like an entirely different game. I totally get why boomers shat on the game back then for that reason
We didn't know how much worse it was going to get.
WHAT CAN I DO FOR YOU?
>fun story
Story's pretty dumb, honestly. Probably the weakest aspect of the game. Some neat ideas there, but it's bogged down in too much silliness. Not to mention a major story scene being hidden in an optional area.
There was a lot stuffed into this game, despite it reusing like 90% assets. I remember enjoying its blitzball sim shit even more than FFX's.
I remember I would autistically play that one math coin minigame quite a lot too.
Then theres the infinitum or whatever its called and the chocobo caves that I remember sinking a lot of time into.
I never did play the International/HD version though. Is it worth trying or is it best left in my teenage nostalgia?
International/HD will give you the monster creation stuff which is basically bigger and potentially more time consuming than the entire rest of the game combined.
Probably better left in nostalgia.
Awful game, and no the combat isn't good
>queue up a spell
>character gets get and stunlocked by more hits before they can cast it
>now they're dead
Wow, so this the power of ff13 but shittier
>trying to cast spells
that's what wizarsissies deserve
martialchads win again
What? Talk like a fricking human being
I like X-2 better than most but my biggest gripe is how the ending is ME3 tier levels of ruining the entire story.
Everything about the plot of X-2 is about how the past shapes you as a person but also the need to move on to create a better future. And then they make the true ending a literal regression that goes against the very point they spent the whole game trying to make by bringing back Tidus to make shippers happy.
It's ironic that this is probably the last good FF game. The original release of FF12 was shit.
This game would have been much better if Lulu was in it but I suppose her big breasts would have been a problem for a game where the girls change their clothes sailormoon style
They look like they prostitute themselves to rich old men
sex with paine
Story's fun in parts but overall garbage, and its version of blitzball was a dumpster fire compared to the original.
Otherwise you're on point.
X-2 isn't bad, it's just very tonally inconsistent compared to the game it's a sequel to
I feel like it drops too much of the post-sin stuff in favor of the Yuna being le Macross idol and "addressing" the past, especially considering it keeps up the Charlie's angels nonsense way longer. Also the aeon battles felt very forced/lazy considering it was already something you did ad nauseum in the original game even before the international version had the dark fights
There was no pretend, plenty of fans and reviewers chastised that game when it was announced and finally released.
I played it after several weeks it was released and I enjoyed the game a lot especially the battle mechanic and I also didn’t recall hating the costume changing much at all I just remember using the one dark knight costume or whatever and using the darkness skill quite a lot. I think I remember disliking the ship menu to navigating around the world when I would have preferred to move my character like in FFX but it’s not like it was similar to FF 7 or 8 (never played 9) world map navigation so I also disliked 10’s navigation system also.
I got a 99.8% or w/e on my first playthrough because of the BradyGames guide.
There's some NPC on Mihen Highroad that you have to talk to.
I remember trying to get 100% In my first play through and using the same guide, I missed some interaction and couldn’t get the perfect ending never could pick up the game again and just watched the perfect ending online.
Been a while since I played, but couldn't you do ng+ and side with the other guys when given the choice to get the last few points? 100% on the first playthrough required some precision playing though.
>80% of reused assets
Yeah, no.
This game was disastrous to me as a horny teen. Constant "bathroom breaks" and all that. The game itself was okay.
Did anyone else think Paine looked and acted like a genderbent Squall?
Kid me felt a bit weird being turned on by that.
why did she turn her cousin into a prostitute?
She didn't want to be the only one.
She wanted her cousin to join us in bed. I'm not complaining.
Once she took the Big Gippal wiener for the first time she was now hooked. Was probably trying to drag her cousin in for some kinky fetish she has. Thankfully Yuna is tradpure and only wanted her one man.
>Remember when people pretended this was bad?
People still pretend it's bad, but it's only ever people who haven't played it. The people who have actually played it have seen the light. Honestly, you should not be allowed in video game discussion if you have not played the video game that the discussion is about. That would solve so many problems
People are morons.
