It was funny because you could look at released material and then general trends in gaming and the company making the game and make reasonable guesses and you'd get mobbed by cultists screeching "DISCOOOOORRRRRD! DISCOOOOOORRRRRRD!" and then the game came out and all the criticisms were right and it became "havin' a blast" and now they've all shut up as they realize there's no defending $70 plus tip for a game that's even more incomplete than vanilla DD1.

Who cares? The First Dragons Dogma was shit. Ganker only said they liked it to be contrarian. Then when DD2 was announced they felt compelled to hype it and/or they didn't remember that they were lying about liking DD1 in the first place. I guess that part was funny.

I liked the original Dragon's Dogma, and although I am somewhat interested in this one, the twitter cancer surrounding it has managed to repel me. If I'm being honest, what really would get me interested enough to buy it is if I could just have my pawns piss on the floor on command.
They don't even have to put in a bladder/drinking mechanic if that's too much work, I can roleplay it. I just want to be able to command a cute redhead elf main pawn to strip and reveal her firebush and piss on the floor in some tavern, and for the other npcs to react all shocked and appalled and kick the party out or just comment negatively on it.
Out on the road? Piss on the trail, elf pawn, and if a trader comes along they can make a raunchy/shocked comment.
That is what would complete the game for me, so long as the rest of the gameplay is competent, just an ability to occasionally make members of my pawn harem strip naked and piss wherever they're standing in whatever default pissing pose I choose for them.

This game is absolute trash without Cheat Engine, I died to the very first goblins, and after that set my level to 999 and all stats to 9999 to make the game playable. Now after 35 hours I'm done with the unmoored world and the true ending but I can't imagine slogging through without the ability to oneshot every enemy in the game.
With cheated stats I fly around the battlefield deleting enemies and kill a Drake with one basic magic archer volley, I could never have that playing normally. My review for the game: 10/10 with cheats, very fun power fantasy; but 0/10 without, an annoying slog where you die to trash mob goblins and wolves. Unplayable on console where you don't have cheats.

If you need unofficial fan content that's not actually part of the game to make the game not suck then it's a bad game. Mods should enhance an already good base game, not be a substitute for things that should have been there in the first place.

I played this game for over 200 hours and failed my classes this semester.
i played like 70 hours and didnt finish the quests in the palace. i was just exploring and having fun but it gets old real quick when the combat is piss easy, the performance is DOGSHIT and the story isn't gripping. I'm pretty sure I only had as much fun as I did because I made my pawn a friend's oc so it was like I was adventuring with them.
DD2 is great, just wait for the expansion so you can bandwagon pretend you like the game like you did with Dark Arisen you frauds
