The low points are XY and SWSH, and BDSP. Everything else is better than the game that came before.
SV is not better than SwSh. SwSh, for all the flaws, is still a finished game, if barely. SV is not.
Anyways, the reason ORAS is considered a low point is because the point of comparison is HGSS as the standard for remakes.
Remakes, even BDSP, get to stand on a solid foundation of the originals. Despite this, ORAS is, being extremely generous, a sidegrade to Emerald at best.

RS is not a fun game to play through. ORAS is a decent game in its own right, and succeeds as a remake if only because it's more fun to play than the original games, even if it not faithful to it
