Considering the franchise in question is mega man, that statement is a bit ironic.
Although i will commend Inti sticking to their desire to improve things upon each game, even if it usually leads to them sidegrading when they don't know where to go (LAiX2, GV3, Zero4).
>Dropped early.
It was a third of the entire franchise you baiting homosexual.

I don't even agree with dragonball being a journey to the west ripoff. Wu Kong wasn't even the protagonist of that story technically. I don't think there was ever a point where goku fricks off and raises an army of his own or dunks on taoist on a regular basis. Hell they have pretty opposing personalities too, Wu Kong wants to frick around and status goku is more about having a good fight and getting stronger. Wu kong would NEVER train to get stronger he is just fricking the best by default and if he wanted to get stronger he'd trick a god into eating his poop or something.
Megaman fans could be eating a full course meal with how many duratives out there that carry the same gameplay. There's so many, it can be it's own genre. Some even do it better and improve on the base formula. But MM fans choose to suffer with "nothing" instead of just playing modern mega man games. All because their favorite brand is tied to it.
>Remind me again what's wrong with ripoffs?
Usually they're of poor quality and thus bad games looking for a quick buck >As long as the game is good I don't see a problem, really.
If video games didn't rip each-other off, Final Fantasy wouldn't exist, Saints Row 2 wouldn't have been made, no FPS game would exit except Doom (woldenstein? I dunno, not my genre), etc.
It promotes stagnation. A creative should always strive to create something new, or at the very least iterate on something already existing beyond simply reskinning things.
There's nothing wrong with a ripoff. But a ripoff needs to bare minimum be better than the thing it is ripping off. If it isn't then it's just a worse version of another game in which case you'd be better off just playing the original.
nothing, people are just moronic corpo bootlickers
Replace the head with a pic of the devs face and it will make sense why nobody here is excited for Megaman gender transition
?
that's just a dude
That's a bit transphobic
Why the frick would I care what the devs look like?
no one calls them ripoffs if they're good.
If your ripoff doesnt improve whats already been done, then its just a waste of time for everyone involved
Wow! Two Cakes!

Here before everyone complains over MM8 looking ugly or the regression that was 9 and 10 lol.
Ripping off gameplay is fine. Ripping off stories is not.
Look everyone this guy cares about the story in a videogame lmao
You're so mad
I'm not the one complaining that there are too many cakes.
>Ripping off stories is not.
Mad at Dragonball for ripping off Wukong?
That shit was wisely dropped shortly into the run. Or do you think frieza has a basis in wukong?
Idiot.
There were hundred of episodes before frieza, you know?
...and like I said it was dropped early. Are you dumb or just stupid?

Why?
Why?
How many stories do you think there are?
Do you really think the monomyth is the only kind of story that can be formulated?

I will never understand it.

as long as it's not Capcom making them now I'm good with it
They're normally awful.

Game's been on development since like 3 years ago, I wouldn't my hopes up.

Nothing wrong with ripping off a game. The real problem is ripping it off so you can add vtumors.
