Remnant: From the Ashes 2
Which version are /you/ getting? It's a day-one purchase for me+IK I'm gonna be buying the dlc anyway so I'm prob gonna shill for the $70 version
Nothing Ever Happens Shirt $21.68 |
DMT Has Friends For Me Shirt $21.68 |
Nothing Ever Happens Shirt $21.68 |
is the first game worth playing
Nope. Couldn't even figure out how anyone played it for more than a few hours without turning it off. Clunky, looks like shit, sounds like shit, etc. Gamepass saved me and friends money.
Filtered.
Definitely filtered. Amazing combination of some souls mechanics with third person shooting. Good build variety between combining different guns, mods and set bonuses. And genuinely more unique and interesting boss fights than anything in dark souls. Beating some of the bosses can be a puzzle that requires a strategy and plan more than just memorizing a moveset. Their take on moonlight butterfly fight shits all over dark souls.
I actually prefer Remnant to Souls games.
The first area is surprisingly the worst. Stick with it and you'll be surprised.
I’d say so, overal I’d give it an 8/10 minimum. Can get it for like $9 w/all dlcs on g2a as well
The biggest complaints are the bosses being too ADD-heavy and not getting the random generated events you want after multiple re-rolls. The first issue is kinda eh, there definitely are bosses, especially early ones that are too reliant on enemies. It gets better overtime and the dlcs definitely learned from it. As for the 2nd, there are seed-analyzers you can use to quickly see what generated
The world, gunplay, and overall feel of the game are exceptional. Everything feels unique
No. Just play warframe.
Same shit but free
It's not the same at all.
It is you homosexual shill
You've played neither Warframe nor Remnant, homosexual.
I have and your scam of a game is actually worse than warframe.
It's not darksouls with guns it's corridors of shit leading to a "boss" which is just a healthbar you need to attack while avoiding the dozens of adds spammed constantly.
If you buy this game you are actively killing the industry
Did you get that opinion from Jimquisition?
Yeah thats the line that's gonna save this thread bro
Glad to hear it
I hope you get better at videogames
You were filtered so bad by needing to shoot things more than once and have basic situationaly awareness that you went full-moron that you resorted to saying the walking simulator where enemies self-destruct in your vicinity is a better game. Meanwhile they are both exclusively different games where the only simularity is the fact that they are both third-person shooters.
You are pathetic.
What is this moronic cope?
It's you getting blown the frick out for being a moron.
Warframe is grind, pay to win, and weightless combat and movement. There's no grinding in Remnant, it's a complete game with a beginning middle and end, and there's a funny ultra heavy set where every dodge makes you hit the deck as hard as possible.
BTW never play MMOs, or F2P games.
All you do is grind enemies to collect materials to upgrade your gun so you can grind enemies better.
There is no story in any meaningful way.
There is no exploration, it's all randomly generated corridors
There isn't even pacing since it's all rng what level you get.
The game fails at everything it attempts.
Also you are a literal shill, you don't play any games
Yes
If you got a friend or two to rope into it yeah. My only complaint about it is having to replay zones hoping the RNG gives me a quest/boss I haven't done yet.
It's okay, it's a bit samey but it can be fun with friends if you have any.
Probably plays better solo, but it feels like it's missing something.
Every boss is cancer solo since all you do is juggle enemies the entire time
>my game isn't like warframe because you have to shoot the enemies more
Both games adjust enemy health by difficulty. Warframe does have better gameplay though.
At the end of the day you are just mindlessly killing corridors of enemies that look the same for no real reason.
At least people who play warframe can use the excuse that they are too poor to buy an actual game
The mechanics don't matter as much single player though, I ignored them a lot when playing with friends.
They feel more impactful solo.
>my game
It's not my game. I've played Remnant for too long and Warframe on 3 different platforms both solo and with friends.
Remnant is a game that either clicks with you or you or it doesn't.
>Both games adjust enemy health by difficulty.
Warframe has levels not difficulty. In Remnant the difficulty is more or less half of a modifier and works in conjunction with coop playercount.
>Warframe does have better gameplay though.
And that's why I said the first point. Warframe doesn't have gameplay as soon as you reach early/mid-game and gets progressively worse towards endgame. Remnant is a tactical shooter crossed with a souls-like with a fraction of a fraction the enemy count. They are literally not comparable but you insist on claiming one is better than the other.
>At the end of the day you are just mindlessly killing corridors of enemies that look the same for no real reason.
Extremely reductionist statement that is not really true for Remnant, while Warframe that's all there is.
>At least people who play warframe can use the excuse that they are too poor to buy an actual game
Remnant is a game, you're just bad at it, filtered and angry, or subject to the first thing I said.
And as you said to the other guy
>Every boss is cancer solo since all you do is juggle enemies the entire time
Every boss rolls over when solo and there are almost no ads or literally zero of them.
Let me guess... you and your 2 homosexual friends got Remnant on Gamepass as you(?) said above. You proceeded to set the game on a harder difficulty option and do 3-man coop which increases enemy and HP count. Then, after suffering your way through the first level you reached THIS GUY. Already salty, you 3 began circlejerking your grievances (inadequacies) and blamed the game until you finally gave up and decided the game was shit because you were shit at it.
This is a highlight of your shit game
Shill this
>shill this
I'm not shilling anything, you're just unreasonably angry.
>One of the 2 first area bosses is the highlight of the game
Oh so you never actually left the first area like I thought, but you were filtered by the easier of the 2 bosses? Damn. I wasn't actually hoping to be more correct than I thought.
Post some good gameplay then
And you transparently are a shill. This thread is a failed attempt to hype your next scam
looks like any other b tier game out there and remnant doesn't pretend to be something more than that. After reading thread I still have no fricking idea what's your problem with the game, which seems to be personal. Especially I don't understand how fricking mind twisted you need to be to compare it to warframe.
>playing with a controller
There's your problem.
Singe was kino, even more so if you knew the lore of the first game. Some of the best music as well. What exactly is wrong with this fight?
He's also on the easiest difficulty with what seems to be pre-nerf rattleweed btw.
>Walking in a circle shooting is kino
At least your three butt buddies had the dignity to claim it was a bad example
top kek why are you seething at Remnant you absolute baddy
I'm sorry I didn't let you shill in peace
>baddy
Jesus christ
>Liking a game and wanting to talk about it and its sequel is "shilling"
Is Ganker not a videogames discussion forum or does every post either have to be shitting on a game or using a moronic buzzword?
>Inb4 this is bait
Pretending to be moronic still makes you look moronic
Look at the op you trog
Does look better but it's still shit
Both of these are the OP
I'm the OP
Surprise! It was /me/ all along!
Don't reply to me again unless you have dubs
I'm sure the denizens of Ganker are thankful they can sleep with peace of mind knowing that you are protecting them from the evil AA video games.
>AA
>Implying
Like in Dark Souls where you play the waiting game walking a circle? They didn't even say it was a bad example bc it's a bad boss, it's a bad example bc you're using an early-game boss as a "gotcha". And again, the guy was playing on the easiest mode which lowers Boss response and damage+He's using an ability that removes agro before it got balanced.
If you're asking for if Remnant has a Boss with more interactivity, Dream Eater was pretty good
its a really good game
its very close to being great, and u can feel the potential there, but its not quite great
its worth playing, and if u have a friend or two, very worth playing
if 2 can improve on 1, then 2 will be a great game.
it plays better than it looks
i dodged it for the longest time since it looks like some unreal engine asset flip and im not huge on shooters
but after playing it... i was basically 100% correct
but gameplay is good
feels more like old school run and gun, there are varied weapons and you can work towards smaller and bigger goals
Yes.
Shit game
>Gearbox
Frick off Randy.
According to the PR guy Gearbox Publishing is separate from Gearbox the company, it’s effectively the Perfect World guys
>same release date as Diablo 4 season 1.
I'll buy it on sale in two months.
Is Diablo 4 worth it? Not sure if I want to give Blizzard money but I'm burnt out on PoE.
i like poe and d4 its fine
maybe wait a year for better endgame content
I'm torrenting the pirated version with multiplayer and then handing it to my friends so we can all play it for free and have fun.
I love how whales get to pay to beta test for the rest of us.
Honestly, the bonuses feel weird as if they were forced to put them in as they can all be found in-game apparently
Besides the early access there isn’t anything that feels “exclusive” which is good
>Day 1 DLC
It’s not, just preording the dlc at what I assume is a discount
For me, it's the Challenger.
>playing melee
>game with a focus on guns
Ganker really is filled with contrarians
Tbf the melee system looks way better in R2
The DLCs in the previous game added a bunch of rings to support melee builds because of player feedback.
> passives increase survivability and close range damage (both guns and melee)
> 1st ability is close range AoE damage
> 2nd ability is big boost to melee dps
> 3rd abilities is big boost to guns dps
It's not really full-on melee class. Just close-range one.
I'm waiting for a few days to see if it is broken on launch.
I already bought the maximum deluxe because I was pleasantly surprised by the first game's DLC. I flaunted my purchase in a Diablo4 shitter thread as the zoomer or whatever fell back on that
>ur just a poorgay if u h8 shit game
argument.
No, it’s too videogamey.
What does this even mean? It’s a videogame.
Like, is it too arcadey or something?
Armor bonuses are still in the game somewhat
I'm fine with armor skills being gone because the majority of them only mattered with a full set bonus. In exchange we get +2 accessories and a bunch of other modifiers.
the f2p version
How many worlds are in the game?
Four worlds which can be played in any order, each with two storylines that are randomly chosen per playthrough. So far we know of Ruined Yaesha, Losomn(Dran & Fae), and N'erud. Earth and the Labyrinth have also been shown but I'm not sure if it's qualified as an entire world in of itself. The final world and archetype will probably be reveal next month.
The worlds we’ve seen so far are Ruined Yaesha, Losom (with the Dran and Fae variants being their own worlds), and that sci-fi world N’erud. There’s also the trailer w/ the dude that has the flaming sword which looked like its own world if not Losom.
We’ve also seen the earth and the Labyrinth, with the Labyrinth being confirmed as a playable zone. Not sure if these are full-fledged however.
Each world can generate 1 of at least 2 different storylines as well, such as Ruined Yaesha having the floating islands or the desolate temple and worship sites with the stories being different (the only part we’ve see. So far is starting off in the temple and having to help the Pan queen kill the corrupted guardian, which is similar to what the Undying King has you do in the first game)
You can also start off in different worlds and progress differently, such as one person starting their playthrough in Ruined Yaesha while another would start off in the Fae version of Losom.
In the livestream and some gameplay the map looked like it contained 5 separate areas for worlds with an extra area for the hub at the bottom
I've been more happy that they seemingly have brought back all the guns and such from the first game. You can see in some of the big gameplay overviews when they open the shop that many guns can just be outright bought at the start.
Yea, it’s really nice
Also the variety that they’ve added like throwable melee weapons and Grenade Launchers.
Also there have been weapons shown that come from the past game, such as the Krell Axe from Chronos: Before the Ashes. Whether the Krell world will be in the game or not is unconfirmed though
>3 days early access
Thanks blizzard for a new shit gimmick
Could be worse, I think it was done bc Gearbox wanted to push for pre-order sales and Gunfire added bonuses that weren't too exclusive (The armor can be found in-game and the survival pack is just bonus starting materials like in the first game)
This was happening before D4. B4B is the last game I can think of that did this shit.
Only played Remnant when it was near complete already so I'll probably wait for this one to get all of its DLC out before I play it too.
