Ah right, almost forgot about that one time when Nintendo totally tried to kill used games outright by slapping DRM onto the discs and cartridges. A thing that actually happened for real. In this reality, even. Definitely not some stupid made up shit that only exists in your head.
To this day, every Japanese game from the 90's has had a "No Resale" mark on the back of the box. Nintendo actually tried *suing* reselling businesses in the 90's and have beaten their market into believing used games are worthless. Where do you think the Japanese worthless old game culture came from?
> Nintendo been trying to pull this shit since the late 90s
then I better not telling anyone because I have been buy used DS & 3DS games since 2018…. Or you’re pulling shit out of your ass

>Microsoft's next console will be all digital
Big Mistake. There's people who have obsession with disks. You should pander to them. Functionally it makes no difference. You can limit physical disks use no less than digital with the DRM.
>Big Mistake
nobody cares about physical anymore anon, over 90% of sales are digital, so most likely the next gen of consoles is going to be digital only, no physical disk, while in the future the disks are going to become really expensive because you will be able to own the game
>nobody cares about physical anymore anon,
maybe on the PC and Xbox
Nintendo switch has the highest physical collection than both
ps5 is turning digital Only with the disc drive requirements for use on the slim

Most people don't care. During PS4/Xbone generation, people moved to digital really fast and really easy

Denying reality won't make it go away.
>Add a unique id to every disc (disks already have this). >Make the console log that you used a disk with certain ID and upload the ID it to their servers. >Embed the IDs to the system updates >Now consoles can check if a disc is linked to a console (even offline) and will block you from using re-sold games.
You will own nothing, goy.
It's not the 2010s anymore. The average person doesn't care, and would rather be able to just download and play than deal with waiting for a physical disc.
If that were true then the console would have gone all digital by now. The average person buying physical console games is not going to accept online DRM that stops them from sharing or trading it in
lol, snoygays have no principles. you'll notice that people jumped ship when Xbox did it, but now that Sony does it you wont hear a peep.
daily reminder that snoygays are the shit on everyones shoe.
Microsoft's only mistake is that they tried that shit a decade too early. The writing was on the wall when both Sony and MS announced digital-only versions of their latest consoles and no-one batted an eyelid.
If Microsoft tried that shit today it would still flop. Most PS5 owners have the more expensive disc edition. The only reason the Series S sells more than the Series X is because they made way more of them, you can buy it for less than $200, and you don't even need to buy games at all in order to play them.
>>Make the console log that you used a disk with certain ID and upload the ID it to their servers.
Hack the console and the rest of your post is meaningless.
What kind of shit parent buys multiple of the same console for their kids? Mine shared and if they would have each demanded their own I would have told them they were crazy.
>Online DRM for physical games
They will learn the hard way the same lesson that Microsoft did.
didn't EA do this with a few games way back in the day? didn't original discs of like, the sims and spore and shit only let you download them a few times and then say frick you?
Probably they will put some code on the discs from now on that if it detects that it was inserted in two different Playstations they will block your account or something.
I think you found the money maker here anon >create forced obsolete consoles that kill themselves after 2 1/2 years of the 6 year cycle >force them to rebuy every game they owned already unless it's digital >fast forward 8 years >have to rebuy digital now too >and new controllers >and you can't move accounts between consoles unless you pay a fee(free with PS Platinum) >"why is nobody buying the PS7 guys?"
its not
but unless someone takes them to court what you gonna do about it? cry?
no matter how much corporations would like it, tos, eulas and all the other crap they have you sign isnt law
>illegal in japan
Japan have one of the biggest second hand markets of the whole world. You can find a Book-Off, GEO, 2nd Street, Mercari, Hard-Off, Rakuten, etc near every station
Well in the US, they can't simply instruct you to not resell something you bought, but they're allowed to do whatever they frick they want to prevent it, whether that's unique codes or whatever.
Probably they will put some code on the discs from now on that if it detects that it was inserted in two different Playstations they will block your account or something.
I wonder if this will bump up the value of games printed before they start adding something like that. They'll probably do it for the last of us 2 remake, so maybe the original version of that game will become a collectors item if you cant trade the new one.
Why is this a problem? Sony has a duty to ensure that anyone who buys a PS5 game is getting a legitimate working disc. This policy protects YOU from getting scammed by receiving a scratched up disc.
>by receiving a scratched up disc.
stop buying used games off craigslist from nobodies and you wont have this problem you have literally 0 common sense thats kinda impressive
>craigslist
Facebook marketplace, and yes the seller is always a Black person. Gamestop opens every single game they get and stores the disc in the warehouse for this exact reason, and they have the gall to charge the full 60-70 dollars for them.
Isn't that more to do with the retailer selling pre-owned games? It's not really up to Sony to make sure your local Gamestop isn't selling coaster discs

There's the aspect of gifting physical items and allowing access for people to be able to easily purchase a game in a store and gift them to their friends or family. That they got away with this. And even received cheer and applause at that. Is absolutely disgusting.
That's not why they received cheer and applause. And they got away with paid online because Microsoft showed it's insanely profitable and people would accept it, which they did. Same with Nintendo online.
People didn't cheer when Nintendo announced that they would do it. They did cheer when Sony did.
That Sony tried to hide it with a thin veil of distraction does not change this.
It actually does in context. The video was about sharing physical games because their direct competitor had revealed they were blocking used games. That's why people cheared for Sony's video despite the fact they snuck in the bit about paid online, which was not the subject of the actual video. People didn't cheer when Nintendo announced it because their competitors weren't using DRM to block used games. People did defend Nintendo when they introduced paid online, just like others did when Sony implemented it.

Equally idiotic. It’s incredible that seemingly only one person in this entire thread actually bothered to go look at the thing himself,
The “not for resale” thing is from games that were packaged with a console and it’s telling the stores not to separate the game from the console and put it on the shelf for sale.
The Japanese one just has the generic “not for broadcast” shit and I can’t see what game the other one is but 9 times out of 10 when that exact phrase (not for resale) is on the box that’s the reason why.

Oh no. I wonder how many PlayStations will be returned or flat out not bought because of this. I'm sure Sony is very scared that people won't continue buying the PlayStation in droves.
Well yea, but for normal people it will become too much an inconvenience and so old game preservation will be relegated to the hardcore niche crowd, while all those old games will then just be remade and bastardized endlessly for new generations of zoomers.
As it should. I still randomly find so many gems exactly this way, when you open whatever your local version if craigslist is 95% is people selling the latests fifa/cod/spiderman/etc second hand, at least in my country(EU).
I can see this being something they would slow roll enforce on PS5 Pros as a "security feature to help show you aren't accidentally playing with stolen software" or something.
Sony likely has authorized Gamestop to be able to keep doing what they do, so everyone saying this is going to effect Gamestop don't know what they're talking about
Remember what happened the last time Sony said you couldn't do whatever you wanted with your legally acquired physical assets? Because it would be fun if that happens again.
>cant resell games, presumably by using some form of hardware DRM that makes every game disc functionally a 1 time install key >shows, games, movies and services can be shut down and their content remotely removed from your PS5 harddrive or account >some games dont even have discs anymore, just a CD key to download the game
no wonder snoyBlack folk start shit in every single on-topic thread, what the frick can you even do with that 500 dollar brick?
Nintendo clearly doesn't give a shit about used games, they're the only console maker that hasn't tried fricking with it and don't really need to since their titles are evergreen as hell. It's only emulators and rom sites that they hate since they're not seeing any money from that.
There was a claim that they could ban switch cards back when SXOS piracy was still around as it could mount card images over USB for online play.
Apparently the cards themselves have a unique ID that would be flagged when multiple players were using it at the same time.
Yeah, they're not granting you ownership of the game software.
That doesn't mean you don't own your copy, and it doesn't mean you can't transfer your copy of the game software to someone else.
You really should work on your legalese-reading skills.
There it is, there is ALWAYS a "what if" deflection troony. Every time. >hey lets not talk about MY company that IS doing this, lets talk about this other company IF they did this actually
That's literally the premise of this thread >what if PlayStation did the same thing Xbox tried to do last gen. PlayStation is totally going to do it this time!! Trust me!
Lmao whenever Nintendo releases a game I want (which is become more and more infrequent by the way) I always wait a bit and pick it up on ebay at a significant discount. I bought Super Mario Wonder two weeks after release at a 25% discount and I'm glad I did since it's pretty mediocre.
The dirty little secret of capitalism is that if you don't run your company with infinite growth projection no matter how unviable it is and you try to aim for stability then you will get raked over the coals and eaten alive.
this is why these israelites are pushing for digital only games. fricking EU move your ass and make digital games something you own and can do whatever you want with them, enable a 2nd hand market for digital games.
frick sony
Consider that your average casualgay only buys the console and Current Year Sports/CoD and then trades it in for Next Year Sports/CoD. A hypothetical scenario that actually prevented second hand sales would have a flow on affect of also reducing new sales.
All of you who think this is going to negatively impact Sony in any way have no clue how little people care about this shit now. A decade ago was a different time. Plus the power of the PlayStation brand is WAY too strong to have this bring it down.
Very much this. Absolutely nothing has changed and xbitter trannies are just trying to force a meme of all this because they don't have anything left in their life. It's quite pathetic, really.

Piracy and emulation are not legal, because some burger court deemed it so, but because catching every pirate is a massive hassle.
They didn't change the terms, it was always that way since the PS1 era for European territories.
The page on the X post didn't suffer any changes on that clause since the page's inception.
The X post has currently 56 views total.
OP made the post, screenshot'd the page, reposted it on Ganker and now is trying to fake a non existent change of terms.
This doesn't block game sharing. This blocks places like Gamestop from profitting from a 2nd hand resale market. Of course, this allows Snoy to go after individuals who resell their games but I doubt they would. Their target is companies who resell.

For those of you who say that the EU will stop this, consider that this has been common practice on PC (especially with MMOs) for decades. Example: You buy a physical copy of WoW. It comes with a code. You attach the code to an account. If you sell someone the physical copy of the game it is worthless to them, they can't play the game without buying a new copy themselves.
Lets see those dumb Japs try and stop me. This is like jaywalking, if its unenforceable its worthless. They could add a code to the disc but at that point why even have the disc at all?
More importantly though there aren't even any PS5 games worth buying that aren't multiplat besides Demon's Souls Remake.
I’m gonna laugh when Sony arrests you anon. They’ll probably kill your entire family in the raid and laugh about it. I say god bless Sony, they have every right to enforce their copyrights by murdering you,
If this affects old playstation games, then I will pirate every Playstation 1 and 2 games(and maybe Playstation 3 games) I can if it isn't on Steam or on the Google Play store.
Back in the 80s and 90s US, Japan and European governments passed laws that effectively stopped businesses from rent computer software to others for money, without permission from software companies. Microsof and Nintendo wanted this law because they thought renting software and games would make them lose money.
But the law did not stop people from renting console games. This was because console games were considered different from computer software, according to the law. This was a deal that companies who rented video games made with companies who lobbied against software rentals. Nintendo did not like game rentals, and even sued a Blockbuster in retaliation.
The first sale doctrine is a rule that says if you buy something that has a copyright, like a book or a CD, you can sell it, give it away, or do whatever you want with it. You don’t have to ask the person who made it for permission. But you can’t make new copies of it, because that would be illegal. The first sale doctrine is important because it lets people share and sell things they own, like books or CDs, without worrying about the law.
The first sale doctrine was a problem for the software companies, because they wanted to control how people used their software. They tried to do this by making people agree to a license when they bought the software. The license said that the person was only allowed to use the software, not own it. This way, the software companies could stop people from selling or giving away their software to others.
they are actually pushing it now though, Japan government tried back then, got outruled as over reaching
now you have people in jail for spoiling in 10* year old game that's not even being printed anymore and hace to ask permission to post any opinion about it

I wouldn't be shocked if this is some leftoid wienersucker typing all of this up because they genuinely believe owning things is an alt-right talking point.
I mean I'm not what I'd consider a leftoid but private property as a concept really is a cancer upon our species and the fact that anyone younger than elderly boomers are still desperately clinging to it in 2023 is mindblowing to me.
Where did I say or even imply I was a communist? I think communism is a moron's ideology that has been proven time and time again to be incapable of working outside the immediate short term.

Property is property. If its not owned by the individual it is owned by someone else (either state or corporation). All you're trying to do is take freedom away and I see you
It's honestly a moot point now. The sun is setting on physical copies. I doubt the next consoles (assuming there are next consoles) won't even have any sort of physical media drive built into them, and PC abandoned the very notion of physical copies altogether like a decade ago.
Blessed get
Also yeah I find it hilarious that Ganker is shitting on Sony for this when physical has been dead on the most popular platform here and everyone sucks Steam wiener to the point they throw Gaben a party. You also can't resell digital copies on any system, only gift them initially on Steam and Xbox.
Steam is not a console you little shit. Physical has been dead on PC for completely different reasons unrelated to consoles and the fact you keep trying to equate the two is completely moronic
It might as well be considering the monopoly and reputation they enjoy. You also don't own any of your steam games, can't resell them and they can revoke them at any time. You
>It might as well be considering the monopoly and reputation they enjoy.
You have no idea what you're talking about >You also don't own any of your steam games, can't resell them and they can revoke them at any time.
Not my problem
The difference is I don't need to resell games on steam because I can just download and play them for free without jailbreaking my own computer. Being able to mod my games and play online without paying an extra fee is just a bonus.

Every video game company eventually does the same cancerous shit the others do once they see it proves profitable. None of them care two shits about any of us.
Companies will always take any chance they can to frick their customers in the ass to maximize profit. Stop buying from them, capitalism is a sick system
Oh boy, another fake outrage thread! This only appears in Playstation's UK terms of service and it has been there for a long time. These terms from 2013 include the same exact statement.
https://web.archive.org/web/20140331062344/https://www.playstation.com/en-gb/legal/software-usage-terms/
It's never been enforced.
Protip: you can put anything you want in a contract, it doesn't mean that it's legally enforceable. Companies can and often do intentionally put language in TOS's that they know won't hold up in court in order to discourage people from exercising their legal rights. It's why every modern TOS has an arbitration clause or a "you agree not to sue us" clause. This won't hold up for 5 minutes in court but is likely intended to convince some dumb impressionable people that resale is piracy.
>that it's legally enforceable
Pro tip it's physically enforceable. They don't need to go into court to block disk from working on the another account.
I agree, you shouldn't resell Sony property.
Thankfully, as soon as I buy a CD, it's my property, and when I resell it, I'm reselling my own goods, so no law has been broken.
reminder that this instantly lost Microsoft the PS4/Xbone gen and the only reason is because they happened to be the ones that went first at E3 that year to announce it, you'd have to be high to think Sony never wanted to do the same and are only just now being bold about it because the landscape has changed enough for it to be "safe"
>Reselling physical PlayStation games is now ILLEGAL, Sony says.
I have no account with the PlayStation network, I have never signer or seen this contract and if I did I would not enter into it I own and will do as I like with the 250 ps1 and ps2 games I own. You need to get your physical libraries for the ps1/2 pc and 360 anons and some old offline consoles while u can. Dark days ahead.
God I am so glad I gave up on modern gaming. I still play ancient games like og warcraft 3, starcraft and age of series. Rimworld and some weg too, the rest can eat shit. I pirate everything and anything, there haven't been any good games in the last 10 years anyways
Oh god, why is every "console" a DRM ridden, money milking, shitfest? Cant even play online for free like in the PS3 days. And lets not even start about exclusive games (or lack of them)... PC isnt perfect, but god damn atleast I don't have to deal with that closed off crap
If this kind of shit is REALLY the future of Gaming I'm just going to give up on new releases entirely and go through my backlog/replay older stuff, by this point there's enough good games in existence to last a lifetime

People forget Sony only made this last minute because they planned to do everything microsoft did and only pretended they weren't. At the last second.
You should ask them why they care about GameStop, they've had more than plenty of opportunities to tell GameStop to Go Screw and go all in on digital, and yet they don't.
This is the same board that outright lied that the PS5 would have online DRM for all games on disc before it released and was proven to be complete bullshit. It's not surprising Gankereddit is trying to push the same kind of FUD now.
If the console market worked the way Ganker thinks it does digital only consoles would be in high demand, almost nobody would bother spending extra for consoles that let you play physical copies, almost all games would be digital only, etc. In reality disc and cart based consoles far outsell digital only consoles without a massive discount and console companies still go out of their way to placate retailers and distributors so they can keep selling physical. So we get BUT WHAT IF IT DID HAPPEN and IT'S ABOUT TO HAPPEN IT'S HAPPENING IT HAPPENED ALREADY but Ganker never shows the goods.
If you think about it, selling used games is like stealing, because Sony doesn´t have any money from it. They lose the money they would get from you. It´s like piracy

the threads are open for everyone to comment on them
posting in public implies any and all responses are valid for posting
youre stupid because you know he's right to deride anyone who chooses to buy a console
>the threads are open for everyone to comment on them
What exactly is the point of shouldering into a discussion that doesn't concern you, where nobody requested your presence, and telling everyone how you, personally, don't care and didn't ask?
It's nothing but moronic solipsism that seriously calls into question his/your IQ
>European Union already after telling Sony they have issues with how Sony conducts business during the MS/Activision nonsense >Now this
Would be hilarious.
As a longtime Playstation fan, Sony has become indefensible. Their games have tanked in quality this gen (big sequels like Ragnarok, TLOU2, Forbidden West, and Spider-Man 2 aren't as good as the previous games in their respective franchises). PS Plus is now prohibitively expensive and I cancelled my sub. And now this anti-consumer nonsense.
I hate Xbox, but Sony is actively choosing to lose at this point. All of their decisions are baffling and incorrect. The people running the company are Disney-tier moronic.
>The people running the company are Disney-tier moronic.
What did you expect when Sony moved the Playstation HQ to California. They're essentially a israeli company now, movie section run by israelites, console section run by israelites.
In Japan nobody consider them a japanese company anymore, another thing that favors Nintendo which is now a piece of national pride.
Looks like Nintendo or Microsoft will win the next gen, then.
Oh shut up, Nintendo been trying to pull this shit since the late 90s, and that was after Sony dumped their asses.
Ah right, almost forgot about that one time when Nintendo totally tried to kill used games outright by slapping DRM onto the discs and cartridges. A thing that actually happened for real. In this reality, even. Definitely not some stupid made up shit that only exists in your head.
Run along back to plebbit, little one. This thread is for grown-ups only
To this day, every Japanese game from the 90's has had a "No Resale" mark on the back of the box.
Pft. Snoys are a cult.
Every modern console fandom is a cult.
EVERYTHING is a cult. sports are a cult, church is a cult, music is a cult
No. Specifically console brands are a cult.
not in any way particular to them over my examples. try to think about it before posting
They are particularly cultish in ways that your examples are not. try to think about it before posting
>console gamers are more of a cult than an actual literal cult
This is your tiny, tiny brain on kideo games.
>console gamers
don't even try to pull this crap when on this very board there's a filther that doesn't allow to call certain fandom as the cumslurpers they are.
You're right
Sony.ggers
None of your examples are actually literal cults.
Church is a literal cult.
No it isn't
>Microsoft
AHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAH
You will never be woman.
There won't be any physical medium next generation.
Microsoft's next console will be all digital. The leaks from earlier this year showed they're moving in that direction with a redesigned Series X.
>Microsoft's next console will be all digital
Big Mistake. There's people who have obsession with disks. You should pander to them. Functionally it makes no difference. You can limit physical disks use no less than digital with the DRM.
>Big Mistake
nobody cares about physical anymore anon, over 90% of sales are digital, so most likely the next gen of consoles is going to be digital only, no physical disk, while in the future the disks are going to become really expensive because you will be able to own the game
>over 90% of sales are digital
Not on any console
>nobody cares about physical anymore anon,
maybe on the PC and Xbox
Nintendo switch has the highest physical collection than both
ps5 is turning digital Only with the disc drive requirements for use on the slim
>There's people who have obsession with disks
0.0002%
Most people don't care. During PS4/Xbone generation, people moved to digital really fast and really easy
Physical is still popular on console
Not nearly as popular as it was during PS3 and Xbox 360, and it's dwindling
Not really.
moronic troony
I know you spent 10 seconds looking up this shitty chart on Google images, but you are genuinely moronic if you think console games market is anywhere close to 80% digital.
Covid changed people's buying habits. Why go to a store when you could just buy the game digitally?
It's funny you bring up covid since game sales have contracted now that people are not stuck in their homes. So much for those changed buying habits.
You';re still a moronic troony though
No you're just wrong and moronic. No amount of searching on Google images for bullshit charts will change that fact.
LMAO the sheer cope
Denying reality won't make it go away.
You should stop denying reality then. Cope.
It's ok when Sony does it. Get ready for articles where journos will try to convince you it's actually a good thing
moron
sonygays are literally cultists
Literally every console fandom is a lult
Nintendo already won this gen, anon.
They won last gen too
The Wii U may have been the most worthwile console last gen, but it didn't sell.
Don't care
Now kiss
Seethe
Go to bed.
/thread
>when the bag of grapes are 15 dollars, you let them rot on the shelf
I care
Kek. So is Sony gonna put armed guards in every GameStop or something?
GameStop is effectively bankrupt, so no
Yes, but they can’t shoot you, physically stop you, or even call the police
They can't stop me.
>Add a unique id to every disc (disks already have this).
>Make the console log that you used a disk with certain ID and upload the ID it to their servers.
>Embed the IDs to the system updates
>Now consoles can check if a disc is linked to a console (even offline) and will block you from using re-sold games.
You will own nothing, goy.
>Online DRM for physical games
They will learn the hard way the same lesson that Microsoft did.
oh yeah lmao i forgot they tried that.
what the frick is sony thinking
Except Sony is so far up their own asses and their fanbase are so limp-dicked they will not be persuaded to stop pushing it.
They were arrogant back in 2006 too, everyone knows how that ended with ps3. Hopefully they crash again soon
>everyone knows how that ended with ps3
Being the best console of the generation.
No console fanboy has principles.
Hack the console and the rest of your post is meaningless.
>be snoy
>own 2 consoles
>use the same disc on both
>beheaded by the Yakuza for breaking terms of service
>own two of the same fricking console
your hypothetical moron deserved it
Tell me you don't have kids without telling me you don't have kids.
What kind of shit parent buys multiple of the same console for their kids? Mine shared and if they would have each demanded their own I would have told them they were crazy.
One console for me and one for them.
Do adults actually play on consoles?
Only the lucky ones.
didn't EA do this with a few games way back in the day? didn't original discs of like, the sims and spore and shit only let you download them a few times and then say frick you?
That was SecuROM DRM. Those games ended up being some of the most pirated games of all time when they came out
>bring my new game home with me for the holidays
>get my account banned because i wanted to show my little brother bloodborne
Great Job Sony
Oh yes they can
Account bans prevent you from playing digital games, not physical ones.
Playstation has no games, literally nothing changes.
yeah ok Microshart
7thpbp
What's the context? How is this enforceable?
Probably they will put some code on the discs from now on that if it detects that it was inserted in two different Playstations they will block your account or something.
thats going to frick over anyone that brings a game to a someones house or that owns multiple playstations
So?
I think you found the money maker here anon
>create forced obsolete consoles that kill themselves after 2 1/2 years of the 6 year cycle
>force them to rebuy every game they owned already unless it's digital
>fast forward 8 years
>have to rebuy digital now too
>and new controllers
>and you can't move accounts between consoles unless you pay a fee(free with PS Platinum)
>"why is nobody buying the PS7 guys?"
And with that, Sony's reign in Europe would be over. Phil Spender sends his heartfelt thanks.
Literally how the frick is this legal in any way?
It isn't, but it's easier to ask for forgiveness than permission.
laws arent real beyond "frick you eat shit"
the sooner white normies understand this the better. sadly they probably wont until its way too late
its not
but unless someone takes them to court what you gonna do about it? cry?
no matter how much corporations would like it, tos, eulas and all the other crap they have you sign isnt law
pretty sure that's illegal in the EU.
Pretty sure thats illegal literally everywhere lmao.
It's called the second sale doctrine, and I believe this is illegal in Japan as well. It's the basis of a free market and capitalistic society.
>illegal in japan
Japan have one of the biggest second hand markets of the whole world. You can find a Book-Off, GEO, 2nd Street, Mercari, Hard-Off, Rakuten, etc near every station
They also have the strictest piracy laws in the world and will literally throw people in prison for it.
Well in the US, they can't simply instruct you to not resell something you bought, but they're allowed to do whatever they frick they want to prevent it, whether that's unique codes or whatever.
I wonder if this will bump up the value of games printed before they start adding something like that. They'll probably do it for the last of us 2 remake, so maybe the original version of that game will become a collectors item if you cant trade the new one.
no they cannot
it is in the US as well
there is a right of resale here
once again sony really just does what it thinks it can until it gets fricked in court
Didn't Sony mocked Microsoft 10 years ago for the same thing?
No this is different.
Exactly, it's okay when Sony does it.
They're not doing anything though.
YUP.
?si=NncTcgWN2d5FZ3N4
They backpedaled on this the moment people were selling used PS4's with PT
remember that sharing games ad from 10 years ago? looks like they lied
They saw reception xbox got for doing the same thing and quickly backpedaled it before the showcase.
If Xbox went second it would have been the norm. Sony was smart to jump on that grenade
Yeah. Unfortunately the times are changing and a lot of the shit Don Matrick proposed has become normal now
Is selling the same as sharing now?
Yeah, seems like they'll be squeezing blood from stones before they consider that maybe the headcount and spending is bloated.
I remember they used it to introduce forced paid online and all the sony shills deflected.
Sony really got mind broken by not being able to sell Horizon and losing Call of Duty
How can you sell no games?
Why is this a problem? Sony has a duty to ensure that anyone who buys a PS5 game is getting a legitimate working disc. This policy protects YOU from getting scammed by receiving a scratched up disc.
have a nice day.
homosexual
>PS5 game
I’m sorry a what now?
>by receiving a scratched up disc.
stop buying used games off craigslist from nobodies and you wont have this problem you have literally 0 common sense thats kinda impressive
>craigslist
Facebook marketplace, and yes the seller is always a Black person. Gamestop opens every single game they get and stores the disc in the warehouse for this exact reason, and they have the gall to charge the full 60-70 dollars for them.
Gamestop gets away with it because their competition are greedy c**ts on Facebook marketplace and eBay
It's amazing how none of the people responding to you can understand you were being facetious
we really have to put /s to deal with these zoomers now
maybe the replies were just playing along ever think of that you big hunk?
Oh frick off dude, we're exposed to this level of moronation every fricking day
You aren't clever for saying obviously stupid and inflammatory shit for attention
That's the raison d'être for Ganker
Isn't that more to do with the retailer selling pre-owned games? It's not really up to Sony to make sure your local Gamestop isn't selling coaster discs
>buy game
>finish game
>scratch the disc
>complain to Sony that this guy sold me a scratched disc
>they send me another copy
>scratch it again
War has changed...
>in this same video, they say they will start charging for online
>everyone ignores this
>"OH WHAT'S THAT? MY FAVORITE LE CORPORATION PWNED OTHER LE CORPORATION? SLURP SLURP SLURP"
I mean, he didn't sell the game to him, he just gave it to him for free.
Only 10 years.
Next Playstation won't even have a physical version, all digital. Xbox will die, only their gamepass will last.
>2023
>10 years
t-time really makes the difference huh?
>Next Playstation won't even have a physical version, all digital.

Even Ubisoft isn't as pessimistic as you.
https://www.ign.com/articles/ubisoft-admits-physical-sales-will-get-even-lower
>Here’s his response: “There's a collector edition market. There's the aspect of gifting physical items and allowing access for people to be able to easily purchase a game in a store and gift them to their friends or family. Some people will always want to own the physical disc. I just don't think it's going away. Do I think physical sales might get lower over time? Sure, but will it ever completely go away? I don't think so.”
>PS4® multi-player online access requires PSN™ account & PS Plus Subscription
People did defend Nintendo when they introduced paid online, just like others did when Sony implemented it.
its funny because the language in the OP has been there since this was made
People forget Sony only made this last minute because they planned to do everything microsoft did and only pretended they weren't. At the last second.
Xboxcels have been coping with this for over a decade now yet have never provided any real evidence for it.
and the funniest part is that sony was planning the exact same thing and just waited for MS to shit the bed and see the public's reaction. sony spends a ton on marketing for a reason
>trusting corporations
ay karamba
>_jpg.jpg
>trusting Ganker
Equally idiotic. It’s incredible that seemingly only one person in this entire thread actually bothered to go look at the thing himself,
Press F for GameStop
fake. also
>tweet has no interactions and 47 views
you posted your own tweet you homosexual
It's not fake moron.
https://www.playstation.com/en-gb/legal/software-usage-terms/
Have any of you actually looked at the back of the box on any playstation game?
Because it's always said this.
Nobody here actually owns a playstation or games for one. Except maybe you.
I do, frick boy. What now?
You should stop fricking little boys
You should stop projecting, homosexual.
I'm holding one right now and it doesn't say this
Me too. Are you people moronic? The "no resell" crap has been on every PAL and NTSC-U/C game for ages.
He's right, holding one of my playstation games right now!
You cheeky frick
my sides
Uh huh. Keep telling yourself that.
Notice how American copies don't have it while the "not for resale" disclaimer shows up on European and Japanese versions posted ITT
The “not for resale” thing is from games that were packaged with a console and it’s telling the stores not to separate the game from the console and put it on the shelf for sale.
These games weren't part of official console bundles
The Japanese one just has the generic “not for broadcast” shit and I can’t see what game the other one is but 9 times out of 10 when that exact phrase (not for resale) is on the box that’s the reason why.
You can actually separate whatever the frick you want though so even then it doesn't matter.
Halloween packages of candy and shit say the same thing but retailers bust it open all the time and sell it off that way.
Well yea I wasn’t saying it’s impossible to defy the text on a cardboard box.
They do?
Not what it says on the back of my box.
Remember when fricking everybody was shitting on Xbox for doing this shit.
Remember this?
LMAO how the mighty have fallen
?si=IlYBPbtMAixj1vXl
kek the recent comments under that video
>Xbox trannies being moronic again
Yes, Mr. Sherman, everyone's an Xbox cuck. Everyone on the street you see is an Xbox cuck.
Xbox cucks made your food taste worse. Xbox cucks made you late to work. Xbox cucks made your Internet run slower. Xbox cucks conspire against you every day of your life. The government is run by Xbox cucks, that's why life is so miserable.
Don't worry, I'm sure they'll go away if you keep calling them Xbox cucks eventually!
How long until they shut down this video
Probably never because you can sell do what you want with your physical games
>Xbox cucks still seething over getting BTFO over ten years later
Good
Seethe harder, Xhomosexual.
Go to bed Sperg Sporg.
>all those tranime avatar incels who don't realize the ToS has said that for a decade
feels like million years ago, imagine being snoy fan in 2023 on some woke board like reset era and having to defend this LMOA
i don't sell my games, i merely sell my time. they're paying for 5 minutes of my companionship and i'm letting them borrow the game after.
The PS5 has like 1 game, if everyone just passes it around they won't make any money, makes sense to me.
Oh no. I wonder how many PlayStations will be returned or flat out not bought because of this. I'm sure Sony is very scared that people won't continue buying the PlayStation in droves.
Clearly they think this since they wouldnt change the policy otherwise, moron
How exactly are they going to stop me, lmao?
I can see them banning game disk sales from non authorized first parties on ebay/amazon/etc
Ok
Ill just do a garage sale, like people did before the internet
kek good luck selling to people in your "local area" like a fricking chump
I pray on the fricking chumps. Got 200 dollar games for dollars at sales. It’s great, frick em.
Who's going to keep track of where each and every single one the game copies go?
Sony likely has authorized Gamestop to be able to keep doing what they do, so everyone saying this is going to effect Gamestop don't know what they're talking about
Sony really thinks they can prevent that shit. Lmao. What a bunch of fricking dumbass israelites.
Rules that can't be enforced aren't rules at all.
Remember what happened the last time Sony said you couldn't do whatever you wanted with your legally acquired physical assets? Because it would be fun if that happens again.
QRD
Read the wiki kid.
>wiki
No.
Already a thread up where we're laughing at Xbox cucks about this, xister.
Xbox sucks but you really let it live in your head rent free anyways.
Got a SEGA hate blog I can follow too?
>cant resell games, presumably by using some form of hardware DRM that makes every game disc functionally a 1 time install key
>shows, games, movies and services can be shut down and their content remotely removed from your PS5 harddrive or account
>some games dont even have discs anymore, just a CD key to download the game
no wonder snoyBlack folk start shit in every single on-topic thread, what the frick can you even do with that 500 dollar brick?
>>>>>>>>>>>
I'm already reporting collector channels and people using their ebay store name on their PSN's.
>Implying this is new.
>Resale and Rental are prohibited unless authorised by SCEE
this is new.
Since it was added to the list of terms today, I would say that it's indeed new.
I just showed you it isn't
And I am telling you the opposite.
That's not in the US (which expressly allows those activities) unless they're part of a bundle.
Yes, what OP linked is a UK page.
Imagine if Nintendo did this
I wish, imagine the damage to the retro game market when people refuse to buy and sell retro games because Nintendo frowns on it.
Or it might just be a myth idk
They can ban cheaters and pirates from playing online, that's not the same as banning physical copies from running on the console at all.
Why Imagine?
https://www.nintendo.com/sg/support/switch/eula/usage_policy.html
>but words aren't the same!!
Ah dangit ya got me gud.
Yeah, they're not granting you ownership of the game software.
That doesn't mean you don't own your copy, and it doesn't mean you can't transfer your copy of the game software to someone else.
You really should work on your legalese-reading skills.
You can transfer in both cases tho, just not in a commercial sense (resale, etc)
>I-I swear it's actually all of them but also only in Europe
>
There it is, there is ALWAYS a "what if" deflection troony. Every time.
>hey lets not talk about MY company that IS doing this, lets talk about this other company IF they did this actually
That's literally the premise of this thread
>what if PlayStation did the same thing Xbox tried to do last gen. PlayStation is totally going to do it this time!! Trust me!
And Ganker would still blindly suck nintendo's dick like the cultist reddit tier corporate bootlickers they are.
The real question is if Sony has the balls to stick with this or if they'll "backpedal".
End game of dying corporations. Everything is downsizing. The days of constant growth is coming to an end.
The dirty little secret of capitalism is that if you don't run your company with infinite growth projection no matter how unviable it is and you try to aim for stability then you will get raked over the coals and eaten alive.
>the EU wants to know your location
>physical games are just codes in a box to download anyways
you will own nothing and be happy is a spoiler and almost no one cares
you guys remember the ad sony ran after the xbone's announcement?
Thank you for the reminder, Discord raiders.
>reminding everyone that sony didn't partake in resale regulation is discord raid activity now
snoys are pathetically defensive
>30+ year old corporate cope
Legally unenforceable, ESL. Nothing is changing.
>ESL
you literally don't know what that means
Because his grammar is shit, moron.
You mean where you could just hand over the disc?
You can still just hand over the disc.
There are literally hundreds of thousands used games for sale on the internet.
Remember ten years ago whenever everyone thought they were BASED for being against this type of thing?
it seems like all Sony does nowadays is making awful decisions
and they're still sell because of fifa and cod gamers continue to be the most gullible milkable market out there
I'd argue gacha gays are worse, but even FIFA has gacha mechanics these days.
>cod
>he doesn't know
this is why these israelites are pushing for digital only games. fricking EU move your ass and make digital games something you own and can do whatever you want with them, enable a 2nd hand market for digital games.
frick sony
Can't sell what you don't own.
Resale doesn't apply to consumer level. If anything, this further fricks over stores like fricking gamestop.
Consider that your average casualgay only buys the console and Current Year Sports/CoD and then trades it in for Next Year Sports/CoD. A hypothetical scenario that actually prevented second hand sales would have a flow on affect of also reducing new sales.
That's meant for people who buy and resell games on a commercial scale you fricking idiot.
Fricking Sony haters are as idiotic as reddit atheists.
All of you who think this is going to negatively impact Sony in any way have no clue how little people care about this shit now. A decade ago was a different time. Plus the power of the PlayStation brand is WAY too strong to have this bring it down.
what games
idk, like re4 remake, d4 or demons souls remake or wo long.
Why do you name PC games and a PS3 remake?
>just changed
Has to be a twitter psyop
For home use only
Very much this. Absolutely nothing has changed and xbitter trannies are just trying to force a meme of all this because they don't have anything left in their life. It's quite pathetic, really.
>PlayStation games
Reselling what now?
This is like telling me I can't resell fairy dust

and they will soon enforce it

MINE TOO
NOW THEY ARE KNOCKING ON MY DOOR SHOUTING MY BLOODBORNE DISC IS ILLEGAL
SOMEONE HELP ME
Reminds me of when people freaked out over Gaypal's $3000 fine threat when that was put in place since 2012
you aren't able to resell steam games either, why don't people complain about that?
Nintendo is so anti-consumer, it's not even funny
Good luck enforcing that in any way.
This is obviously garbage meant to further exploit the consumer (in an era where physical games are a miniscule part of the pie lol), but I do want to remind you (and every AAII I WAS BANNED FOR SAYING Black person poster) that laws are only as real as they enforceable.
Piracy and emulation are not legal, because some burger court deemed it so, but because catching every pirate is a massive hassle.
Sony fricking it more and more this gen, Love to see it.
Don’t care. Keeping my ps5, buying the PS5 pro when it comes out. Sony beats Microsoft’s goddamn butthole.
I fricking hate Nintendo
I fricking love Nintendo
I fricking love fricking little boys
It never changed
good fricking luck with that
They didn't change the terms, it was always that way since the PS1 era for European territories.
The page on the X post didn't suffer any changes on that clause since the page's inception.
The X post has currently 56 views total.
OP made the post, screenshot'd the page, reposted it on Ganker and now is trying to fake a non existent change of terms.
I just sold a PS5 game on eBay. When will the FBI arrive?
This doesn't block game sharing. This blocks places like Gamestop from profitting from a 2nd hand resale market. Of course, this allows Snoy to go after individuals who resell their games but I doubt they would. Their target is companies who resell.
As if any of you homosexuals still buy physical.
You will never be woman.
maybe you should've sued Microsoft in 2011/13 to not have precedents
oh wait
Microsoft walked back their plan of online drm for physical games. How would a lawsuit even work?
I'd like to see em try.
>now
It's like that for all the games sold in europe since forever

Just checked the page in the OP, the clause about resale has been on the page since at least 2014 but there are no archives prior to it so its potentially older.
You were all lied to, you are either all either really dumb seething over nothing or i stumbled upon a discord raid.
Kek this board will fall for anything in their desperation to make Sony look bad.
You people are so dumb. this is old as frick.

god, you believe anything you're told without question. no wonder shit like fox news is popular.
Anon, nobody here watches Fox News. It isn't even conservative.
Media Matters and other groups like them are quite literally responsible for this modern age of unhinged ideologically motivated people posting inane shit online.
Their business model is a direct influence on you, and likely is why you’re so ideologically unhinged to where you dismiss these facts as conspiracy.
>It's always been like this!
Okay, that doesn't make it not a shit policy that has no reason for existing in the first place no matter what company it is
>nogames
>not even second hand ones
If not for Bloodborne, I would never have bothered with the PS4. Now there's even fewer reasons to get a Sony console.
>list up old pile of games for local pickup
>buyer shows up and asks if he can see the games first
>as I grab the games I notice a PS3 game case sticking out from the pile
>I immediately break out in a cold sweat
>"is a there probrem?" I hear from behind me
>I realize what is happening
>I try to make a run for it but it's too late
>I am tackled at the knees from behind as zipties are looped over my ankles and wrists and a bag is thrown over my head
>I awake in Japan where I am found guilty of defrauding Sony and am forced to worked 50 years in the labor mines
Nice card yugi, but what can it do against my blue flag, yellow stars german state?
YARR HARR FIDDLE LEE DEE.

This has always been a thing.
Did you know giving your friend GTA 5 for a few day is illegal too? Who's gonna enforce that shit?
>This has always been a thing.
Snoytrannies are the most delusional, shit eating fanbase in gaming. Jesus.
If this affects old playstation games, then I will pirate every Playstation 1 and 2 games(and maybe Playstation 3 games) I can if it isn't on Steam or on the Google Play store.

Do you cattle really buy consoles
where do you think we are?
I’ve had a ps5 for years and have only played Hogwarts legacy on it which I should’ve just got on pc.
What is the point of the PlayStation?
moronic cattle like you that buy without thinking
Games were promised.
Non cattle think in the future and think for themselves
And you believed them?
The games that were promised are all ps4 games that can also be run on ps5. Next time don't be so dumb.
SEGA IS KILLING THE RESALE MARKET OH NONONONONO
That label indicates that the game was originally part of a console bundle. It's the same thing as Coca-Cola saying "not to be sold separately".
Cool, I just wont sign this trash

George fluud's mission success
I only resell disc-cringe games

Nintendo has that too, and le ebil snoy. The only thing missing is the fake shit OP made up.
Says "buy now" right there the lying scamming fricks.
back of the box says you gotta agree to the service agreement linked
They are advertising a purchase. They are not offering a purchase. It's a scam plan and simple. No room for argument.
don't like? don't buy, you stupid gamers.

Don’t you morons use steam?

Japan tried to outlaw video game rentals when Nintendo and Sega complained about them. This is nothing new.
they are actually pushing it now though, Japan government tried back then, got outruled as over reaching
now you have people in jail for spoiling in 10* year old game that's not even being printed anymore and hace to ask permission to post any opinion about it
>there are people on here right now that own a ps5
Yes, there are many countries where people own houses that are big enough to pull that feat.
Yes, I also plan to buy a PS5 Pro for GTA6. Problem?
>there are people on here right now
Sony doesn't make laws
Sony doesn't enforce laws

Why are chuds like this?
strawman or just bad bait?
I wouldn't be shocked if this is some leftoid wienersucker typing all of this up because they genuinely believe owning things is an alt-right talking point.
I mean I'm not what I'd consider a leftoid but private property as a concept really is a cancer upon our species and the fact that anyone younger than elderly boomers are still desperately clinging to it in 2023 is mindblowing to me.
have a nice day commie frick
Where did I say or even imply I was a communist? I think communism is a moron's ideology that has been proven time and time again to be incapable of working outside the immediate short term.
Nah I'll own everything I buy and you'll let corpos rape you and cry about it like you didn't have a choice.

> private property as a concept really is a cancer upon our species and the fact that anyone younger than elderly boomers are still desperately clinging to it in 2023 is mindblowing to me.
>Oh but all the billion dollar corporations? Private companies, can steal your games all they want
If you're not left, what the frick are you to think this is in any way a good idea to have one-sided private property? An oligarch?
>private property as a concept really is a cancer upon our species
Property is property. If its not owned by the individual it is owned by someone else (either state or corporation). All you're trying to do is take freedom away and I see you
YOU VILL OWN NOTHING
YOU VILL EAT ZE BUGS
You have no idea what you're talking about
>You also don't own any of your steam games, can't resell them and they can revoke them at any time.
Not my problem
>It might as well be
The difference is I don't need to resell games on steam because I can just download and play them for free without jailbreaking my own computer. Being able to mod my games and play online without paying an extra fee is just a bonus.
Write your congressman, this violates first sale doctrine.
>Loicenses aren't Sales moron :^)
Courts don't give a frick. Shrinkwrap contracts are shaky in burgerland and outright illegal abroad.
Sony really is doing everything they can to speedrun killing the Playstation brand
If the PS3 couldn't kill the PlayStation brand nothing can. They're not going anywhere.
Keep dreaming.
>This is what Xbox cucks actually think is happening
All three people still purchasing physical copies will be affected by this.
>Apparently, 90%
kek, what a shit of an article.
Bullshit unless this was in specific place also homosexuals include digital only mobile titles and such that don't have physical release.
>Reselling physical PlayStation games is now ILLEGAL
What games?
The same games Xbox has.
hahahahahahaha
Digital keks keep losign. Frick steamy and digital gays and censorstation
>sony says
Heh, the supreme court says otherwise.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kirtsaeng_v._John_Wiley_%26_Sons%2C_Inc.
Have you been paying attention the last three years? No one gives a frick what courts in this country say anymore, much less the supreme court.
sony will get told to go pound sand if they try to enforce it, that's all that matters
They can enforce it in other ways if they find out you did it, like bricking consoles, shutting down accounts, etc. and nothing will be done about it.
>In educational publishing, Wiley, the Kirtsaeng plaintiff that lost the case, increased its prices for the international editions as well as the international student editions and cited Kirtsaeng.[14]
The book industry is objectively worse than the videogame industry kek
Ps4 won last gen over xbox because of it, no one wanted a console that:
>always had to be online
>had games that couldn't be borrowed to your friends/be resold
>spied on you
Now they pull the same shit lol
You mean the same way everyone used to champion Nintendo for not giving into things like DLC and paid online and now they do it too?
Every video game company eventually does the same cancerous shit the others do once they see it proves profitable. None of them care two shits about any of us.
Companies will always take any chance they can to frick their customers in the ass to maximize profit. Stop buying from them, capitalism is a sick system
is this the moment snoys realise they have been worshipping an evil company since 1995?
It's not physically enforceable. CD keys for console games will never be a thing.
>It's not physically enforceable.
You don't know what are you talking about.
Are you moronic?
this won't fly in europe
so this is only relevant for american third worlders
Its only in britains ToS
I agree, you shouldn't resell Sony property.
Thankfully, as soon as I buy a CD, it's my property, and when I resell it, I'm reselling my own goods, so no law has been broken.
>PLEEEEASE PIRATE OUR SHIT
That's all I'm getting out of this.
>can't buy old PS games anymore
I will no longer buy your consoles
ONE GAME
did this actually change or did people read TOS for the first time
Great, another trial at the EU that they will lose. Free money to feed the Brussels machine.
Remember the entire internet chastised Microsoft decade ago for this?
For the payers!
reminder that this instantly lost Microsoft the PS4/Xbone gen and the only reason is because they happened to be the ones that went first at E3 that year to announce it, you'd have to be high to think Sony never wanted to do the same and are only just now being bold about it because the landscape has changed enough for it to be "safe"
There will always be people uploading rips.
oops, there goes your resell value on your games 🙂
time to buy a PC
Brb reporting some garage sales to the authorities
this has been the case almost 10 years, your outrage is too little too late
I see it was updated in 2022, why isn't it removed? Why does it remain in the tos?
idk im just screen capping an article, that itself was updated today,
>,
I will avenge you.
>move playstation HQ to california
>the judening accelerates
>I consent to selling this game
>I consent to buying this game

snoys are mentally ill
Yes, Mr. Sherman, everyone's an Snoy. Everyone on the street you see is an Snoy.
Snoys made your food taste worse. Snoys made you late to work. Snoys made your Internet run slower. Snoys conspire against you every day of your life. The government is run by Snoys, that's why life is so miserable.
Don't worry, I'm sure they'll go away if you keep calling them Snoys eventually!
Pretty sure that's illegal.
Glad the ps5 distribution problems made me stop giving a shit about sony
you just fricked yourself sony
you fricked yourself pretty hard
and all of us by proxy
frick you
"Resell" means I bought them in the first place.
I was right to be done with consoles past the 7th gen, can't wait to mod my 360
Why are we forced to pay physical prices for digital versions?
Because physical retailers would revolt and stop carrying physical games altogether. The fact that none of these console companies are telling GameStop et all to go frick themselves is telling.
Why would companies care about gamestop? The real reason is they have no reason to say no to free money.
>free money
This doesn't mean what you think it means
>Charge physical prices for digital
>Pocket the print, shipping and distribution money because it's digital
>"No it's not free money"
Dumbass.
So why do they sell physical games for the same price dumbass
To keep the price point. They sell those for very little profit, then sell 90% digital with massive profits. "Oh it's the same price but more convenient?" Normies are dumb and will fall for it.
>They sell those for very little profit,
Wow free money
No console sells games 90% digital only.
Who are you quoting?
You should ask them why they care about GameStop, they've had more than plenty of opportunities to tell GameStop to Go Screw and go all in on digital, and yet they don't.
Microsoft offered GameStop a revenue sharing deal before the Xbox Series launched with gamepass bundles. Paying GS to keep carrying Xbox games.
>2023
>still using consoles
HAHAHAHAHAHA
ah another sony hate thread on /nintendogaf/ that will remain here for hours and hours.
I love how this board always ignores this board rule as long as it's against anything not nintendo.
2. Flaming/flagrant "fanboyism"/etc. will not be tolerated.
This is why I stopped at PS2, Gamecube and Xbox. Consoles are cucked after that gen.
This is the same board that outright lied that the PS5 would have online DRM for all games on disc before it released and was proven to be complete bullshit. It's not surprising Gankereddit is trying to push the same kind of FUD now.
NO YOU CAN'T POINT THAT OUT!!!!! REEEE SONY REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!! ALL HAIL NINTENDO!!!!!
Have they already forgotten they put out a video making fun of Microsoft when they tried to stop you sharing and selling games?
This
Sony is dead, and their desperate attempt at gaining relevance in Japan again by moving the HQ back from California is doomed to fail.
This has always been the case morons.
The le epic YouTube video that people are posting is about *sharing* not reselling.
Complete morons as always.
If you're allowed to trade or give away a game you own there's nothing legally stopping you from selling it to someone.
You should look up the definition of the term "illegal".
It's not illegal, ToS aren't above the law.
I love when an obviously dumb idiot thinks he's smarter than "normies"
I've always owned Nintendo/PC.
Genuinely who would choose a playstation over anything else. It is no longer a meme. It does not have games.
Moving PlayStation Headquarters to California was a mistake.
All PlayStation produces now are troony latinx horseshit.
Now let's see Series X three years after launch
kek. xbox is only good for their controllers so doesn't count tho.
Isn't this kind of bullshit move exactly what set the Xbox back to the point that they still haven't recovered?
bump to make the homosexual OP of the other thread mad
Maybe they should try selling a LOT of physical copies, and making games that people want to keep. Then it wouldn't be an issue.
Seems to work for a certain other platform holder.
If you think about it, selling used games is like stealing, because Sony doesn´t have any money from it. They lose the money they would get from you. It´s like piracy
>It's another episode of brainlets trying to understand legal text.
Also twitter screencap thread, have a nice day and go back to were you came from.
Doesn't this completely violate the right of first sale? Can't imagine the EU is gonna put up with this either.
Fine I'll just pirate them instead
That's a fascinating story OP but have you considered the fact that I don't give a frick and didn't ask? this goes for any thread about Nintendo doing the same thing as well.
That's a fascinating story Anonymous but have you considered the fact that I don't give a shit and didn't ask? this goes for any insipid 'response' you think is a contribution to other threads as well.
I don't give a shit what Sony or Nintendo's legal departments write on their little non-contracts. Don't mald about it OP it's unbecoming.
So ignore the thread
Imagine walking past a group of people discussing among themselves and stopping to say
'YOU HAVE FAILED TO CONSIDER THAT I DON'T GIVE A FRICK'
Ganker does not exist exclusively for you, no matter the level of solipsistic moronation you may be suffering
the threads are open for everyone to comment on them
posting in public implies any and all responses are valid for posting
youre stupid because you know he's right to deride anyone who chooses to buy a console
>the threads are open for everyone to comment on them
What exactly is the point of shouldering into a discussion that doesn't concern you, where nobody requested your presence, and telling everyone how you, personally, don't care and didn't ask?
It's nothing but moronic solipsism that seriously calls into question his/your IQ
Resale is different from secondhand is it not?
resales is stuff like dropshipping aka commercially selling a product via a 3rd party.
I don't think the European union is going to like this.
>European Union already after telling Sony they have issues with how Sony conducts business during the MS/Activision nonsense
>Now this
Would be hilarious.
>
Smells like astroturf. Not a natural post.
If one of your revenue streams is selling digital downloads on your services, this makes sense.
Only troons buy Playstation
Nobody will give a shit
>Reselling physical PlayStation games
playstation has games?
Playstation has GAMES??
>It's okey when Playstation does
Snoys will defend this
