I see no fricking problem, maybe the only time her delivery was weak is her infamous line: "You can stop... right there... Leon" the rest is fine.
It's a bit better but some of the lines just flat out sound like she read them right off the script for one rushed take that they used.
I really feel like the direction is the issue. Like you said, she's much better in this, then randomly sounds robotic for certain lines. To me, that says she can do the lines well when she's got enough to work with.
I still think the voice doesn't suit her, but at least I think she can act well enough for the limited role that Ada presents and she's failed by the direction.

Actually it was because they didn't want to pay union fees to bring Jolene back. Capcom's pretty infamously bad about unionized VAs. Anything else is just a cover, not that that excuses Lily's piss-poor performance.
New actress is unionized too, so that attempted cover is bullshit. Fact is they went woke and the product suffers for it, just like every single other time.
No, the union thing is that you get paid more for subsequent times reprising the same role. It's cheaper to hire someone else because they don't get the additional pay for recurring.
It's the same reason Hayter was replaced in MGSV. Hiring Keifer was literally cheaper than bringing Hayter back because of the increasing cost of him reprising the role.
I've not seen anything with evidence that was the cause. Especially considering that Hayter has taken paycuts in the past in order to reprise the role, and its not like he didn't reprise it many, many times already. The additional pay for a recurring role would not be so jarring that it would overwhelm something like asking Sutherland, an A-List actor who was near the top of his popularity at the time if I recall, not just for voice work but performance capture too. I wouldn't be surprised if Akio Otsuka (Snake/Big Boss etc..consistent voice since the beginning on the JP side) would have cost far more than Hayter given both the prominence of voice actors in Japan and Otsuka's ages of high profile roles. He's closer to Sutherland in more than one way, now that I think about it, considering both of them had fathers who were top tier (voice) actors as well.
Kojima is just a Westaboo who gets tunnel vision when he sees the opportunity to book a "celebrity". Hayter would've taken a pay cut, and Kojima himself said the reason was because he wanted an actor. He kept the Japanese actor the same because "to me he IS Snake" not realizing the irony in how the west felt about Hayter.
He asked Joosten to be in Death Stranding and then completely ghosted her when he realized he could get Margaret Qualley. Every project he's done since MGSV has had b list actors soaking up the budget because he wants to make Hollywood movies.
They could've hired a competent Asian VA. Hunnigan's VA is black now and she does her job perfectly fine.

They are far better than the live action movies. And they're all canon so they've always been a nice drip feed continuation of the lore. I know the lore isn't deep or meaningful but I grew up with it and I love it.

I used the yellow paint mod when SW released and it still works. There's only 2 things I've seen that have yellow paint but not much else.
I remember the mod having an "update" that didn't include any new downloads, but instead has a pinned note saying that they're working on it and have access to all the necessary files. Plus, there's going to be 2 voice options, with one that's suave and the other that's more professional but still far more expressive than the vanilla one.
What exactly are they using to generate the voices? As I recall the Wesker mod was done not by AI generation but some dude actually reading the lines doing a good Wesker impersonation and then adding some bits in post processing. However, Ada seems to be all AI, right? I'm curious if this is done with one of the more open, self-hostable voice cloning AI or if they're throwing money into one of the proprietary ones that like everything else (ChatGPT, DALL-E , Elevenlabs etc) start locking things down , raising prices and the like as soon as they think they have an advantage.

Don't bother trying to shoot the catapults just don't stay in one spot too long. That middle part where you get hit by catapult fire all the time is only for herding and clearing large groups you shouldn't be camping there.

Apparently those spike projectiles that explode were enough for a U-III tailored parasite infestation. She got a cut from one in the first chapter fight cutscene. It disappears from her model by chapter 2. There's a file that details that killing U-III is the only way to get rid of it.
