Markie is underrated
seems like there's a ton of games in early access that haven't had updates for months and are stalling out.. viscerafest, ultrakill, dread templar, white hell, wrath, graven, hrot, prodeus, roboquest, project downfall, get to the orange door, maximum action to name a few... then there are even more that have been announced for ages but no news for months like ion fury dlc, amid evil dlc, fallen aces, basically anything those new blood israelites have announced, etc.
fricking lazy devs took the money and ran
A lot of them do get regular updates actually, but are somewhat big. Prodeus grew in scope massively with a coop campaign even.
It's Nightdive games and 3d Realms games that take forever because of clear mismanagement and just taking 2 dozen project at the time
HROT recently released the rest of the second episode. So stuff is happening, just very slowly.
Guess that's the peril of one man dev teams using a custom built engine instead of Unity trash.
I'm looking forward to Agent 64.
Too many of the boomer shooters stylise themselves after Doom or the Build Engine games. I'm happy to see one that's a homage/blatant ripoff of Goldeneye/Perfect Dark.
Dusk HD
no one fricking asked for this, it's a waste of time and money. new blood is legit fricking moronic, it's no wonder they haven't been able to actually get anything released in years
>no one fricking asked for this
I did
Dusk models look bad and it would be a shame to keep a good game like this
Dusk 82, that was fricking moronic
I just play actual old games
Which one? Playing turok games for the first time
Am I the only one who doesn't like the feeling of this game at all? It feels too cartoonish even in the weight and impacts of guns and firing
I haven't played it but I love how it looks
Gonna start Postal Braindead sooner or later, and also gonna finally play NOLF for the first time
I had started it but I'm not big into secret hinting and that games gives you so few ammo that I got stuck and dropped it
I was utterly filtered by Powerslave Exhumed
why? finished it couple of months ago on normal, it was pretty good
I'm looking forward to the same half dozen games I was looking forward to 3 years ago that have all been indefinitely delayed that still aren't out.
It's insane how badly managed these games are. You have a big cult renaissance for a classic genre. Throwback nostalgia to capitalize on and they completely took their foot off the throttle and the hype has basically died off and the haven't released the games
That's why having publisher and manager screaming from above while giving you deadlines are actually good for both game devs and gaming as a whole.
Nowadays we have "no crunch" culture and look how long it takes to make a single game (not even big compared to AAA and AA) to come out it's getting to the point that you need to wait whole decade for single game to come out. Just frick those lazy ass devs.
How much money are they going to donate to trannies this time?
They donated $0 last time so I imagine $0 this time

Thoughts on Blood West
>I'm running out of ammo all the time the game
is that the case? i hate that...
it's garbage design if i wanted to play thief i'd play thief, not game that looks like retro shooter but ain't, Blood West is actually very scarce with ammo and is super slow
alright it's not a game for me then, thanks
Based dev following throughwith hsi vision
Gonna enjoy this and Gloomwood
at least Gloomwood has actual stealth mechanics along with maps being dark (so there are natural shadows), while Blood West doesn't look like stealth game it's copying looks of actual boomer shooters, and maps are too bright unless you are in a caves
Blood West really isn't doing a good job of showcasing the type of game it wants to be. I played the demo and immediately realized this wasn't a game for me when I killed an enemy only to pull up a corpse-loot menu.
yeah that too, you will be spending more time looting ammo from objects and enemy corpses than actual shooting, it's like they played Thief, original Deus Ex and Blood and decided to mix them all into single indigestible meal
reminder the devs of this game donated 10000 burger dollars to a troony charity
i hope they purchased sturdy ropes
it's unironically for a suicide hotline best part is it took money away from the lead dev terminx who's a wheelchair guy because 3drealms pr gay suggested diverting profits to the troony charity
Looking forward to Cultic and Slayers X. I've played demos for most of the upcoming shooters but these 2 had the best feel to me without doing too much or too little. Trying to be invested in a large number of these games was burning me out on hype entirely.
I just finished playing Ashes 2093+Ashes Afterglow. I have to say - I really preferred the first part. Afterglow isn't bad but some maps felt too large for their own good and there was far more dialogue than I cared for. It doesn't just break up the pace - it kills it outright.
Labyrinth of the Demon King is more horror game than shooter, but it is a first person retro game so I'd like to give it a mention.
