Most games go that route taking the morale high road so it’s not surprising especially given the tone of this game. It was far less offensive than say TLoU2 and the skewed message they went for.
So is Shionne literally not understanding what a slave is supposed to be endearing or is that just part of her "tsundere" personality? Cus I think its just bad writing.
Are you talking about a specific scene? because it defines her entire outlook. Every time you go to a new area, she starts questioning why the people there live the way they do, and no one answers her. Its just some bullshit she mutters because she hates seeing weakeness I guess, but the way its presented to the player its like she literally doesn't understand these people are starving and being killed daily
You should fight for freedom, not revenge. Alphen is able to complete the ritual and save Shionne in the end because he is not motivated by hatred anymore and can use his strength/energy for good.
It's not a groundbreaking narrative concept anon.
>hatred anymore >anymore
he never was. There's literally a scene in the first chapter where he's talking with Zephyr where he decides to fight for freedom. Before Shionne gets her dress even. >you go into ancient technology ruins 1 time in the whole game and its for a fricking dress
Oh what, you think because he got angry in a few scenes that means he's motivated by anger? The dude monologues from the first chapter about freedom and how "killing Renans isn't right" and about how he wants true justice for everyone and not just Dahnens. He's like this from the fricking get go, like every other JRPG protag. I actually think Alphen is far more developed in this regard because he learns things from the people he meets. So its funny to me you're boiling his motivation down to "me slave, me mad"
You say goy but that is a Japanese standard. They value the appearance of purity more than they do justice.

based, the game is anti-BLM and anti-CRT
revenge GOOD
Law is so lucky...
The chemistry between these two character is fricking terrible. I'd rather have the textbook non-chemistry between the MC and Shionne.
>The chemistry between these two character is fricking terrible
Holy shit taste
Its like watching Goku and ChiChi in original Dragonball but not played for laughs.
Imagine timeskip rinwell...
Shionne is supposed to be ambiguously older than Rinwell and they look the same age, she just frowns more.
He was the coolest guy.
Frick all Renan though.
Shut the frick up Rinwell
No

The entire game is bad writing

She was bullshitting Alphen because she still hated Dahnans moron

Example?
I think that's Alphen's usual talk, not Shionne.
>Forgive your oppressors and potential corrupt politicians goy
Who says this?
>16 US fun dollars for 1 boss fight and costumes
This is the only game that has convinced me to use creamAPI and i've bought a lot of shitty DLC in the past
I really like this mod.
Except most of the bad guys are killed...
Why doesn't Alphen get new gloves?
You always see them smouldering and smoking, but he never changes them even though they're charred as frick.
We only have time to get new clothes when Shionne feels like it.

Holy speed watcher

Yeah, he just spawned a demonic entity that sucked an entire race and planet dry because he was having positive thoughts
velvet would like to have a chat with you
Vesperia already did a revenge story where main character literally killed one opressor and one corrupt politician
