It's a game that gamers couldn't give a shit about, but it's the kind of game that gamejournalists cream their pants over.
Don't know how many articles about pointless things I've seen about this on my c**ts biggest gaming website, with like 2 comments on them. No one cares except journos
This is true
I knew that Stranglehold would be an amazing game because the menu screen is a "frozen" scene of the main character being in a shootout with the camera moving around and showing you different shots as you navigate the menu, it instantly tells you what you can expect from this game while showing you cool shots
?si=rYeUDHCj_0a9Q1nY
I like the sniper elite v2 menu too because it uses the similiar technique: you first see the main character sniping through a window and as you pick different options you get a view of nazi soldiers trying to storm his position only for him to turn around and shoot at them
?si=dafHU1XHxnZkimvz
The menu screen is the first thing you see and so it should make the player think "whoa cool, I want to play this"
Bonus: the dead space menus screen
?si=5VKcnJdc7ZNNw-i6
The videos and audio playing in the world in conflict menu are also pretty atmospheric
Bearing is the wrong word.
The start screen is a visual presentation for the game and its quality matches the rest of the game. Hence a shit start screen is a red flag, a smoking building, a putrid smell.

still pissed it was super censored in Europe
(released after 9/11 so they removed all movie cut scenes in the EU release, it was released before 9/11 in US so you got to keep them)
Bearing is the wrong word.

>stays out of the way.
That sounds pretty oxymoronic for a start screen. It's the first thing you see when you boot up, it's the tone setter for the whole experience, it doesn't just stay out of the way.
This. MS has no idea the only impressive in the first game was it made by a small studio (just like Pague Tale). Hellblade 2 might have impressive graphics but the moment they confirmed it will be exactly like the first any hope for it to perform vanished instantly. This game should have been expanded to a true cinematic game with a huge publisher backing it yet it will be the same walking sim with piss easy puzzles and a sparse one button combat system.
>This game should have been expanded to a true cinematic game with a huge publisher backing
Frick no go bugger off, wanker. The studio working the same with less financial pressure is great and exactly what I wanted.
Good. Frick reviewers that clearly have a pro sony frick everything else agenda. Let people like me play the game and then laugh at the incompetent hack writers spouting their shitty, biased opinions after.
I've been playing the first game and it's pretty bad. >nonsensical story >puzzles are just aligning the shape on the door with the same shape in the environment >extremely basic combat system where enemies constantly spawn behind you
we're in an era of companies not wanting reviews before launch for the free marketing, they think that the less a customer knows about their game the more likely it is he will buy it. how did the gaming industry get this bad?
You really think the time frame matters to people like this? Ubisoft already said something like "uh, yes, we know that this vase implying gender equality and both boys and girls getting equal education in the ancient times is absolutely not historically accurate, but who gives a shit? We just had to do this for political points because pandering is more important than some stupid historical accuracy."
This is a series that used to be praised for historical accuracy, attention to details and exploring different aspects of human history btw
Having sci-fi and alt history elements in a series that paid attention to historical accuracy and exploring human history is not the same as going "you know what, FRICK historical accuracy, there was full gender equality in the ancient times and Yasuke was an actual samurai & legendary hero, not a glorified pet monkey"
At times I have judgment lapses and figure a new game might not be gayest lamest fricking thing commissioned by the state for a change, only to be reminded my instincts are always right and buyer's remorse is not exclusive to paypiggies.
Why did they show this game off several years in a row at Xbox events, even taking 10+ minutes of the showcase up, but now that it's release time they don't show anything about it? Did it just get quietly downgraded from major title to expected failure?
holy cow, has it been that long? and after those 6 years they aren't confident enough to let reviewers actually talk about the game prior to release...
I'm trans btw
You don't need to post that in every thread you visit stupid troony

what's even the point in shitposting a game no one gives a shit about?

>lazy start screen
It's over, Hellblade bros...
Honestly true
This is true. Main screen quality directly correlates to game quality.
Xenoblade 2 vs Xenoblade 3 starting screens are a good example.
>Right about Transfield
>Right about this
ESL Xbox cucks are gonna FREAK
Huh. Yeah, never though about it before, but every example of good and shit games I can think of was foreshadowed by the start screen. Good spot
he is ugly, opinion disregarded
could the fricking menu text be any smaller?
He was right about Starfield
This must be the worst game ever made then. It doesn't even have its title present
moron
Prove me wrong. Start screen has zero bearing over the quality of the game.
Wrong.
Bearing is the wrong word.
The start screen is a visual presentation for the game and its quality matches the rest of the game. Hence a shit start screen is a red flag, a smoking building, a putrid smell.
I know you nostalgiagays can't accept it, but it is.

Are Grummz's and his peezo homosexuals still shilling him here? lol
Is anything animated on this menu screen or is it just a wallpaper?
Post your favorite start screen then
i liked twisted metal black's start menu
still pissed it was super censored in Europe
(released after 9/11 so they removed all movie cut scenes in the EU release, it was released before 9/11 in US so you got to keep them)
I also remember the Metroid Prime menu especially well
had a different music section before/after you pressed start
Metroid Prime
Nothing wrong with this start screen. It's simple, subtle, classy, does the job and stays out of the way.
>stays out of the way.
That sounds pretty oxymoronic for a start screen. It's the first thing you see when you boot up, it's the tone setter for the whole experience, it doesn't just stay out of the way.
AAA devs will take note and compensate by establishing a separate loading screen production department.
another microflop. they spent more time making gender flags than working on this menu.
>lazy start screen
Wait till you see the Skyrim start screen
Why did people even like the first game?
Showed that you can make the AAA game formular at an AA budget with a small team and actually interesting story.
Scores don't matter, the game is dead.

Frick no go bugger off, wanker. The studio working the same with less financial pressure is great and exactly what I wanted.
But no one else did. They will close down the studio over this in the upcoming months. They apply financial pressure retroactively - which is crazy.
It was a Snoy console exclusive for a time.
Good. Frick reviewers that clearly have a pro sony frick everything else agenda. Let people like me play the game and then laugh at the incompetent hack writers spouting their shitty, biased opinions after.
Why "2" ??? When the first game was complete dogshit. Who buys this crap?
troony journos and feminist dog whistlers
Audio design in the first game was great with headphones. Real shame about the game part though.
DMC: Devil May Cry was a great game and I will continue to defend it until the day I die.
I liked it too. Donte was cringekino.
I've been playing the first game and it's pretty bad.
>nonsensical story
>puzzles are just aligning the shape on the door with the same shape in the environment
>extremely basic combat system where enemies constantly spawn behind you
>Finally get a AAA Pict/Scotland game.
>It's a boring movie simulator with all the worst elements of modern vidya.
It pains me.
>3060
It's over. Have fun without me.
for the love of god nobody preorder this shit
we're in an era of companies not wanting reviews before launch for the free marketing, they think that the less a customer knows about their game the more likely it is he will buy it. how did the gaming industry get this bad?
I'll be getting it, Anon. I'm gonna wait until release in case there are any key deals though.
read a review first... something suspicious about this.
its enough of a movie game to get 9/10s from all outlets
It's time for a replay, bros.
rewatch you mean
>see it in GamePass
>remeber the shitty perspective puzzles
>remember the shitty combat
No.
Is there a super natural element to this game or is it supposed to all be in her head?
>Hellblade
That scam, that exploited le underdog meme? I remember how journos used their therm a "budget AAA"
stop laughing at her game!
Hypnotic A10s
That seems like a very extravagant headpiece for a pict to wear.
This game got announced in 2019 and was developed all throughout the woke era.
This game will be comically bad.
It's a game set just before 900 AD. How is it gonna be any more woke than the first game?

The game that has ancient aliens since the 2nd?
Having sci-fi and alt history elements in a series that paid attention to historical accuracy and exploring human history is not the same as going "you know what, FRICK historical accuracy, there was full gender equality in the ancient times and Yasuke was an actual samurai & legendary hero, not a glorified pet monkey"
Who gives a shit, it's just a video game.
>bro just consoom!!!
Or that your autism over historical accuracy doesn't apply when it comes to fiction.
Leave my hobby, normalgay.
I think you're selective about your outrage, and I worry that you're picking and choosing your bias.
Take you never played a homosexual game set in the past. I envy you at least in that regard, gaping wound.
Why are you playing gay games, Anon?
At times I have judgment lapses and figure a new game might not be gayest lamest fricking thing commissioned by the state for a change, only to be reminded my instincts are always right and buyer's remorse is not exclusive to paypiggies.

Is this that PMS simulator that has been shown at every xbox event for the last couple years?
Is the game literally about her face? Or what's up with that?
What's the second game's story even about?
Woman mad (and mad)
>6 year development time for a niche 5 hour walking simulator sequel that will be forgotten the week after it comes out
What were they thinking?
holy cow, has it been that long? and after those 6 years they aren't confident enough to let reviewers actually talk about the game prior to release...
