I wouldn't be recruiting anything, just letting randoms join it through ingame since our donations are dogshit and we only have a handful of active players actually in the guild at this point.
I suppose that's the next question to ask - should we prune the inactives consuming 90% of the guild? I know it's a meme being surrounded by dead witches at this point but I don't think it's doing us any favours in regards to randoms joining. Maybe prune the inactives below a certain level range? I dunno how to handle it.
it's a tough call, i do remember seeing our guild in the list that pops up on the join screen, though i might even guess that most guilds are dead or half dead by now, with only maybe a small 3 or 4 being actually active, instead of a zombie corpse with 10 real people in it, that's just a complete guess though
on the other hand, not getting donations sucks, but it only really robs us of 5 pulls per month (5 yellow cryolite), or maybe one of the super SSS runestones if you go that route. i've got like 80 super runestones already that i'm just too lazy to use, and i have over 200 cryolite and 60k souls on top of that, so i'm not hurting for any of the currency that you would buy in the guild shop anyway, but newer players might not be in that same position
i think the "inactives below a certain level" is a good way to go about it. i have checked witch levels, but that seems like a good idea, because at the same time, you don't you don't want the guild to look totally empty otherwise people wont join it either lol (though some people might prefer a more "comfy" atmosphere of fewer people, even if most are inactive anyway) i think there's kinda no good way to go about it
What do you think would be a good compromise in regards to the level? 7 days inactive + below 80? 70?

my team i catherine / celanya / amorai , excepte cathrine i get rekt at 1st enemies atk
if catherine is getting rekt, you can just put cersivey there, let cersivey get rekt, and then have catherine in the backup spot so she comes in to start tanking
i use shiroi / amanami / tuonel of night but i don't think it matters who you use as long as your team is strong enough to live and then eventually kill it, like i didn't even think about the team at all i just went in with whatever was already set up in my thing and it worked, i dont even know what the enemy does, but if he has a big "frick you" attack, then you could just put sacrifice dolls in your first slot and put your real team in the backup

matveiffe and celanya are better, akasha is only about as good as asherah is, who i also did not include
shuffle is a theoretical inclusion, but i do think she'd be matveiffe tier if you full max her

Akasha should have higher single target damage than Celanya which matters more.
if you completely max out akasha's ue, the most defense she can ignore is 1600
in celanya's base kit, she ignores physical defense equal to 20% of her attack, which will be at least 13k (~2600 def ignore), and even more if you were to raise her ue to the same level as the akasha in this scenario, and celanya adds 50% of her attack to the damage your other doll's do as well, so there's more to it than just the modifier numbers (and i guess akasha has the rng of 1 chaos cost skill)
this defense problem is also another reason i haven't max invested shuffle for curiousity; i do not have caledonia, and shuffle would probably require caledonia's defense shred as opposed to the standard catherine
either way, tierlists are always bullshit, and in this game whichever doll's ue you have invested the most into is almost definitely the one that will be doing the most damage, and ue enhancement materials are rare, and nightmare 10 (the hardest content) is still completable by pretty much any ur doll as long as you heavily invest into their ue
but there are eight (8!!!) free soul essences with this event so every witch make sure you pick one up

If you want fast simple and casual you should avoid arknights and you will never catch up in bluearchive unless you spend thousands. The gulf between new and old players is insurmountable.
I still recommend blue archive if you don't care about being competitive, it has the best art and the most fun story out of any current gacha. But just don't expect to be able to roll often and you will hit many many walls that will take a long time to get past and you will never be competitive in raids.

Arknights is pretty generous, you get around 20 rolls monthly from dailies and weeklies, from rolling you get certs which you can exchange for additonal 38 rolls every 4-5 months. There’s a recruitment system which lets you recruit even 6* older operators and it’s constantly updated (on average you get one 6* out of it every 1-2 months unless you are a terrible lucklet. And of course there’s event shops and if you don’t mind spending a little a pass with extra stamina pots and another 10 rolls every month for 5$

Global is 6 months ahead so you can plan ahead, see the strats and prepare but global usually sees the future sight, tries to 300iq the banners by skipping vital characters then hurts itself in their confusion because they thought themselves better than JP players instead of listening to their advice.

NA/EU don't need ins to plat and some raids don't even need EX. The thing that would hurt the most someone starting now is not having Shoshino but they can either buy an account with her or save for her rerun on 2nd anniversary and hope to god they get her since she won't be on rateup there but NA/EU is so casual that it'll be really easy to plat everything once you get established.

I'm a day one player and can barely hold plat with ex clears because the game has grown so much when it used to be easy. If the game keeps growing eventually it will be insane clears only.
A new player wouldn't even be able to hit max level and attempt such things for at least a year or more. BA is a good game if you want to play casual but new players are absolutely walled if they want to catch up and be competitive without spending tons of money.

You should try Counterside, it is by far the most generous gacha I have ever played. It has fun characters and the story is actually worth reading.
There is a lot of content but most of it is optional. If you just want to get through the dailies you can easily do it in 10 minutes after clearing everything for the first time.

Blue Archive? Time commitment is extremely low once you're at the endgame and you can be at the top of the leaderboards without spendibg lots of time. It's pretty possible to catch up and plat every raid in NA/EU since they're about as dead as the witch but they won't die because they're coasting off Asia/Korea money that are on the same APK.
JP is ahead of these two servers and has a general on this board but JP has 400k players so good luck competing there!

Once you're at endgame, though, you log in like once or twice per week, and you complete 1-2 turn based fights that last 10-15 minutes, and you will never run out of resources to pull with, but gameplay is nothing like the witch

If you know what moonlight characters are in epic seven cs just gave away 3 of the equivalent and a ton of other things. You can still get a good amount of that if you start now. They regularly have free 100/200 rolls and drop selectors like candy. Getting a full roster isn't much of a challenge, gear is more of the end game but everything fun can be cleared easily without doing any sort of hardcore autism. The best part of the game is the main and side stories which can be done with anyone.

It also made more money than ever before. The game keeps rising, because unlike most companies bside actually acknowledges when they frick up and go back and fix shit. Sure they frick up sometimes, but the base game is still solid and their frick ups usually get compensated and made better or even reverted.

The dailies take way the frick too long, and the endgame right now is hoping that you get t9 Manufacturer gear from a boss that will not drop any, and then when you finally do get t9 drops, you have to hope that they're something useful (t9 pilgrim attacker), and then if they actually are a t9 that you will actually use, you have to hope that you got a crystal any of the times you killed these bosses, and if you have the crystal and the t9, you still have to hope that you roll useful stats on your overload (you wont, and you will waste all your crystals doing so)
I could handle the rng bullshit of endgame, but not when it's attached to hour long dailies

gameplay was just too shallow and didnt allow for much variety unfortunately. i think combine that with pixel art being such a niche market it seems now, so it didnt pull in many giga-whales and lots of small spenders just left as there wasn't much to keep them interested
The pixel art was the best part, I would have kept playing purely for the cute pixel art even if it was only average at everything else, but it wasn't, it was exceptionally boring even by gacha standards. Isn't Guardian Tales still decently popular? That's another pixel art game, isn't it?
There's less than a dozen active players here, at least in revg, some of which only chat ingame and don't touch this thread. Much easier to say our goodbyes there than having to wade through the shitposters flocking here from other generals.
The game had promise with a good soundtrack and some nice pixel art. But they just couldn't deliver. There was no real "end game". The story chapters were slow as frick. The events were mostly boring and ended up getting recycled in the end. The only thing the game did was consistently release new characters. But for what? There was no content that actually needed these characters.
They could have improved upon the combat, introduced guild mechanics and/or co-op, included some 'raid' mode for end game or something. Literally anything. But nope. We all logged in for 5 minutes a day, did our dailies then logged off. Literally nothing to do.
I started playing at Global launch stopped playing last March maybe April. I liked the game, the music but I got too busy one missed day became weeks and then months and now nearly a year. I saw news that it was EoS'ing so I decided to log in just for old times sake and the message Erina gave was quite bullshit. ;_;

I think a lack of content is a lot of it. I feel like a lot of people would have stuck around if there was anything to do in the game. Even Evil Return Rebirth didn't exist until somewhat recently, and it's not really much to "do". All of the events are reruns. Took like an entire year for Chapter 6 to be released. Etc etc
Also, it probably doesn't help that RW is generous. Also also doesn't help that Isabel killed any reason to ever pull for any physical doll ever again

Yeah BA was really dying on the first year, I felt like I was playing some dead game. But it started turning around the first summer event and Yostar/Nexon already had everything under control by the time Global got announced then released.

Bunnies actually didn't turn it around despite popular belief. The big turning points were Summer 1 which is where they actually started turning the game around and communicating players that they had a proper event schedule and content pipeline and Shunny gacha where they crashed the servers and gave nearly a full pity to everyone. Bunnies got a ton of fanart but by that time BA already had their shit together and the banner itself didn't make a lot of money but it got a lot of artists that didn't know what the frick a BA was drawing the big titty girl wearing a bunny suit.
Other major turning points in BA's lifetime were 1st anni, summer 2 (Playerbase went from 100k to 250k here), Sports event (Playerbase went up to 250k again here after falling to around 200k~) and Blufest (Big japan convention) followed by 2nd anni which doubled BA's playerbase from 250k~ to 400k~
Bunnies got really big on Ganker and was used to shitpost on a ton of boards so most shitposters on this site are still stuck on the past thinking that the only thing there is to BA is that one titty bunny girl with the blacked memes when she wasn't even top 20 in the popularity polls they did and favorite char data pulled straight from the server,
In terms of shitposting, most of the Blue Archive shitposting and shitposters moved to this girl. People stopped biting baits related to racism/blacked/bunnies and most baits, shitposting and schizoposting was and is now focused around this girl.

I liked it because I'm an oldgay who misses Time Crisis, but the end game is even worse than RW endgame, because you just wait for the next co-op/union raid/whatever while farming t9 manufacturer gear that you will never get. Dailies take way the frick too long to be worth it

The 5C Sim run is nothing after this last update where you can't even get the prisoner quest to "complete C sim 3 times", so it has never been faster to do Simulation. Interception, it usually takes longer than 3 minutes. You might have to reset, but let's just say Sim takes 5 minutes and Intterception takes 3 minutes. That's not the only thing there are for dailies, moron
You have to do the Event stages that you still can't skip or auto play. You also have to do like 70 of them in one sitting at one point, which takes over an hour even if you are macroing it on emulator. Then you do co-op. Then you do Union Raid. Those are not always available, but at least one of those things is usually available, and recently it was all three at the same mother fricking time. Then you have all your prisoner missions, which you might not complete with your normal dailies. And then you have the dailies themselves, which you did not even begin to scratch the surface of

The music is god tier. I will definitely give it that. The OST is continually like 10x better than it has any right to be. I thought it was a fluke at first, but then every new track is still good. The OST is definitely fantastic, and most of the girls are sexy. I also genuinely like the gameplay, and that's what got me to even try Nikke in the first place was the gameplay
The rest of it, though, completely ruins it. It might be fun to pick up for a while, but eventually the dailies just fricking wear on you. There's no need for them to take as long as they do. There's no skip function except on a scant few Simulation stages which you aren't even guaranteed to have the option to pick

So all sentimentalism aside, what did the game do wrong?
Seemingly story driven game with no story content, and barely any side content either. Evil Return Rebirth was too little and it was far too late
they drew in a lot of people with their story gameplay that felt like older pixel rpgs, with full exploration and puzzles. then they never used the exploration again outside of the story, and you only have any reason to do the story once and get nothing further for doing it again.
No marketing, that was the game's only problem, literally
Part of the problem. But not the main problem. The game had players day 1 and naturally once the honeymoon period was over some people dipped but many players still remained. Their core problem was that, presumably, their team was short staffed so while they had an artist working on characters and one guy making their kits and maybe one guy making the events there was literally nobody else working on content whether it was story updates or harder 'end game' stuff.
There were no combat adjustments, no extra modes, no end game climbs. If you played for a few weeks you were doing the same shit as someone who was playing for over a year. This caused players to leave because there was just nothing to do. A constantly haemorrhaging player base is not a good thing and with the fact that you could roll most stuff (aside from outfits, of which there was very little of) without spending a penny it meant the income of the game was small too. And it only got smaller as more and more people left because there was no content to do outside of spending 2-3 minutes per day doing dailies.

I played this game every day since the beginning. I really liked it since it was a fast simple gacha and had what I considered "soul". The pixel art was cute. Some dolls' illustrations were really nice. The music was great; I actually sometimes just left the game on to hear the music. The gameplay was kind of bad in that it felt mainly like stat checks but I didn't mind its simple nature. I honestly don't want to think very hard in gacha games or have to constantly raise/use new characters. I prefer to just use my favorites for everything. I also play BA and I really dislike the big variety of students that raids require so I just settle for using suboptimal setups of students I like. In RW, I used Matveiffe/Amorai/Catherine or Idol Flora/Amanami/Afallen for basically all content. I hope that anon posts the rips off kloen so I can save high quality images of the dolls I like.

Yup, same, I'm looking up other gachas but the thing that I liked about revived witch is that it was basically zero investment cute fun for 5 minutes per day where I had everything. Probably going to have to just wait for a new gacha to come out that catches my eye, because it seems like everything is something where you need like 12 fully built units, some of them limited, for like 20 different game modes that rotate. I liked that Revived Witch didn't really have much "keeping up with the joneses" or like 100 different events you had to plan for and use different teams, even if that's probably what killed it
i still think that the different elemental beasts from new years should have been a more permanent content like intangible barrier though

I feel that this was one of those gachas that should've been a singleplayer game. They have a bunch of nice art and assets, it's a shame they weren't able to pull it together in a live service game. Gacha games is far too competitive nowadays for smaller games to survive. I hope this team does a singleplayer game as a spiritual successor next.

Logging in today is sadder than yesterday. I bought the default furniture themes that I never bought before. Such a cozy little game that I'll never be able to play again
I sort of feel like recording some gameplay... but why? I didn't feel like recording gameplay before. Lots of weird emotions knowing that I will never be able to play this game again in like 2 months, and that if I'm lucky, the most I will walk away from this game with is a folder with the assets inside of it, and at worst just the folder that I've already uploaded to anonfiles

Was it all Isabel's fault? If you had her you had almost zero reason to whale on any other dolls.
She could not have possibly helped, but even if you didn't have Isabel there was basically no reason to pull on anything once you had an established "decent" team. I was like 7 pulls short of being able to go completely full 180 pity on Isabel when she came around, but I didn't make it so I went like 9 months without her. I just used my Mayahuel SR magic team with Eddine and Amanami and Tuonel of Night all the time instead. And then when Evil Return Rebirth happened, I had Asherah (because I pull story dolls no matter what) who was good enough to still complete Nightmare 10 even with only a level 10 or level 20 UE
It would have been nice if they made PvP more rewarding and more meaningful. A lot of games with PvP thrive and generate most of their revenue on the back of PvP. Unfortunately for the witch, PvP is essentially auto win no matter what, so the only way to be "competitive" is to attempt to create the most annoying stall/wall team possible, and there's no way to tell if your team is successful in accomplishing its goal
There are lots of "should've, could've would've" that might have made the game more successful, but I think one of the things that was a huge missed opportunity is that they kept making extra costumes for dolls that no one fricking used. Like most of the costumes in the game are for random SR dolls that you have no reason to care about or use, ever

Revived Witch is/was my comfy side game. I've been slowly dabbling in other games since New Years when there was no banner, since I knew that >no banners was a death sentence, and it only got worse. Games I'm still slowly testing:

Same name (basically), and the gameplay seems as if it's pretty similar, just slightly "upgraded". More depth in combat, but it's still 2 skills (with a 3rd character skill). The exploration kinda reminds me of witch but in 3d. The story is okay so far. It seems like the closest available analogue to Revived Witch to me, game/gameplay wise, but it probably only has 6 months to 1 year left. English voicings were recently cut, but if you're only in it for the story, there is a good chance that at least the story will reach a logical conclusion before EoS. You get an absolutely insane amount of free rolls for starting an account

This is basically like a comfy phone jrpg but with gacha mechanics for characters, written by the guy who made chrono trigger, cross, and xenogears, Masato Kato. It is much more massive than a comfy side game though. The dailies take longer than witch dailies. You don't really need to do them though, you can play the story as your "daily". You have years worth of story and character quests to play. I completed the first arc of the story and it's pretty alright. Some of the character quests are meh, but some are imo better than the main story. It's not the witch though, it's more comparable to a full length jrpg or maybe even an MMO. You can complete everything with free characters. The gacha characters are in most cases better, especially with recent power creep. It's strange, there is no gacha pity, which sounds like complete bullshit, but I've successfully pulled every banner character since New Year's. Maybe I'm just lucky
Main game is still Opera Omnia, which I recommend to anyone who likes Final Fantasy or turn based battle systems like FFX
Blue Archive. The girls are irresistibly cute and the story is comfykino.
