Home removed transfer-only moves, soon it'll remove transfer-only ribbons.
I highly doubt that. They're still adding marks and ribbons to the game. Things like Pursuit and Hidden power actually affect the game, when ribbons do not.
Golduck is probably the safest bet to never get dex cut out of the remaining options for a complete ribbon master, considering psyduck is Masuda's favorite.
Doing a Jolteon and stuck in Battle Maison trying to get 50 wins., but I can make it to the 30 at most.

I'm hoping for Gen 5 ribbons, since we never got them originally. Gen 5 is my favorite gen and being able to get a ribbon on my favorite mon will complete my journey.
I wouldn't count on it. If ILCA's behind the remakes again, we're not getting anything, apart from maybe a Musical ribbon.

Miltank isn't in SV afaik so she's boned there. But frankly just having a shiny is fulfilling. I've got her in Gen 3 still while I work up a better team for Battle Tower.
I've been tempted to Ribbon master Whitney's Miltank but I also don't want to go through the Battle Tree again.
Honestly the Battle Tree is simple provided you're doing Singles. Tedious, but simple.

I miss the battle tree rental teams. There was a
Truant Durant / baton pass scolipede / Mega kangaskhan combo that was unbeatable. I went at least 110 streak with that combo till the Trainers started hitting their one-hit KO moves each time. My streak ended because Fissure landed three times lmao.
I ran it in doubles with Mega Lucario + Naganadel leads to spam Sludge Wave and Lucario's general power, with Ash-Gren and Zapdos in the back, then Blue's simple enough to take on with whatever one of the four dropped

Loathing it, the partner and item finder marks are gonna be hell for so many Pokemon; I plan to ribbon master every Pokemon I own, as far back as I can get them. Bank-sama, please.. just a little longer..
Itemfinder isn't too bad, partner is pure pain. At least you're not in my shoes, I started collecting ribbons in Gen7 and I missed the chance to get The Legend Ribbon on my Main mon, even though I still have the game.
I mean, that's what happened to my Delphox. She is one of the very very few Pokemon that I preserved (mainly because I still had her) Thankfully I had the ability to PKHeX before looking for her to hack on all the ribbons since it was between abandoning an old friend and starting over with a new Delphox. Hate that I had to, but frick it. GameFreak's stupid, anyway

Yea, I feel that. It feels gross, but it's better than abandoning them for a new one, but that's probably just a me thing since I'm picky about every Pokemon having every ribbon possible for title purposes and also just completionist's sake. It's an easier pill to swallow when you look at it from the perspective of "I'd have done it if I could have."

We almost had that with BDSP, but they decided the contest and battle memory ribbons should stay legacy ribbons. Which is fair albeit obnoxious, but then you remember they brought back the Sinnoh champ ribbon instead of making a new Sinnoh champ ribbon, therefore tossing out the "exclusivity!!" argument out the window.

I feel you anon, don't pay too much mind to what I said. I feel like being ompletionist is a blessing and a curse. The only reason I didn't redo my RM is because I have alot of memories with this one and I've had it for many years. I can't imagine doing that for just one ribbon. What I will do, is transfer one of my old mons with the ribbon just so I can something from back then with me.

I like the idea of marks as being the random equivelent to ribbons (you'll notice that the one think seperating marks and ribbons is that marks are only earned ~1% of the time when doing something instead of guaranteed), but it definitely makes it tricky/tedious if you're doing multiple ribbon masters.
Itemfinder is kind of a chore but at least Kitakami and Area Zero have items all over the place, Partner Mark is also annoying but you can literally idle it and Gourmand is just button mashing but the off-by-one bug at least means it's ~3x more common than the others.

S/V actually ruined a ton of Ribbon mons, I have no idea why some people decided to evolve their mons without waiting for at least next remakes/Legends If BW gets a ribbons, it's going to be a massive cuckening. I'm betting to they will since it's the only gen that didn't have it and ILCA added a new ribbon in BDSP.

I fricked up my RM Colosseum H-Typhlosion by evolving it too, didn't truly realize the possibility of ILCA giving the ribbonless region a new ribbon until afterwards.. copium'ing that Unova stays ribbonless but in my heart of hearts, I know better
Maybe the so-called PKHeX feature that was rumored to be in the Indigo Disk will let us devolve even though it would be infinitely easier to just not shit on the respective Pokemon whose evolved forms are Dexcut? 🙁
I'm sorry anon. Honestly this wouldn't be an issue if they just added the new mons in the remakes, but when they didn't add sylveon in BDSP I just fricking knew it was over. That's a impressive RM too, but at least you can still collect ribbons in future games. BW/BW2 will most likely have ribbons, there's no chance they don't. You can always pkhex, but the brightside is that Gen5 remakes marks the final pokemon game before the "gimmick era" so you don't need to worry about missing ribbons for those since you already have those.

Yeah, I've been paranoid about keeping everything unevolved if I can help it for that very reason, especially my XD: GoD Eevee since she's going to be my Sylveon RM. So ridiculous that I have to do this only to risk getting fricked in the future. It would genuinely be best case scenario if they just let us devolve, since it lets them continue rampaging with reckless abandon without completely fricking over an entire community of Pokemon players.

Sadly, I don't have the means to do that. Even if I did though, I'm not entirely sure if it's possible to edit an existing Pokemon without some kind of suspicion due to the way Home works with trackers n shit. Maybe I'm totally off base with that, but ultimately doesn't matter without a hacked Switch anyway. Nevermind the obvious that it shouldn't be necessary in the first place..
It's funny you mention Digimon actually since the gimmicks have been getting more absurd. I wouldn't be surprise if we get Fusions down the line. Honestly with the way things have been pokemon and the Dexcut, I feel like it's just not possible anymore to have a mon with every ribbon, not to mention these cross-evos. Thinking now, I would probably have 2 RM, one for my main and one that would never get cut like Psyduck , Eevee or Gyarados. Funny thing about Eevee too, that raid going on now gives the unrivaled Mark, which kinda sucks for people who have Eevee as a RM. I still can't believe they haven't added a Ribbon for Raids yet, A ribbon that has a chance to appear on your mon would be cool.
But I understand you, about Pkhex thing. It's not easy making a RM, no one knows which mons will get cut or not anymore.
I have some pokemon I want to hunt in older games in the right pokeball and get them Ribbons but I don't think I could do a complete ribbon master with every single ribbon and shit. It's too much
Ribbon Master means you collect every ribbon available for that Pokemon that originated from that game. You can have a Dondozo as a RM for example, so you're fine. Very few pokemon are actually going to have every single ribbon, considering ribbons go back to the Gamecube.
