Honestly none of their games is really pay to win so I hope this one isn't either. As for the graphics, after LoL, LoR, Valorant and the fighting game we can already expect how is it going to be.
while you theoretically can put time into the games to acquire everything, this is only really feasible for children, and even then it would take you a very long time for LoL (to play a top level you need to understand the mechanics of all champions, best accomplished by playing them), making them effectively P2W for new players

I expect it to be shit but I always dream when a new MMORPG is being developed and virtually no one outside the company has seen anything of it yet.
Crafting doesn't work when players never lose their items. It's as good as confirmed that they won't have that kind of PvP in their game. It will be a themepark MMO all the way. Expect the classic "groupfinder, fast travel and repeat" gameplay loop.
Yeah sadly, last mmorpg I even tried was ESO since that I just skip every single mmorpg if they use the same shitty loop.
I would literally just take everquest remade exactly as it is but with modern combat animations at this point, I'm so desperate for an actual mmorpg world to play in.
If its a full pve mmo it could have durability and only the crafters would be able to repair like tailors and blacksmith their respective types while being able to upgrade them +1, but enchanters add elemental buffs.
Dunno, there are ways but the game itself should have to be slower and not a race to end game, maybe just get rid of leveling and instead add skill mastering.

This is the problem right here, leveling is treated as a hurdle before you can actually play the game, when levelling is supposed to BE the game as well as teach you how to play instead of endless monotonous fetch quests.
Unfortunately this game isn't dead a month after launch because league has more players than all of steam combined and riot will use them to prop it up.
Probably never. No one's willing to put the proper time and effort behind such a thing it seems for good reason. And when they claim they are(ashes) it gets called a scam, which isn't without merit for multiple reasons. You have pve players ranging from those that want to be involved with pvp to ones who want nothing to do with it in anyway. And on the flipside pvp players being fine with instanced arenas to wanting to do it anywhere. The former group will have large amounts of people that locust up the content and cry when it's gone. The latter will have people go out of their way to the furthest extent they can with griefing. A lot of these games both current and dead have cash shops ready to go because there is a demand for them which as shitty as it is, is on morons willing to pay for it in the first place which is always going to influence development. Also the whole idea of them needing to be a forever game when they should only be actively updated for 4-6 years max because it's going to get less fresh as time passes. Of course there'd plenty of people willing to keep their sub up just not to lose their progress forever in the game and let it be half assed updated for 20 years so long as they have their precious in game collections. That's just scratching the surface of the genre's issues but it's why it is chained to being full of pump and dumps, granted that's not exclusive to it either.

Riot Games is like pre-Diablo 3 Blizzard at the moment where they can't revolutionize the gaming industry any more, but can take an existing game (ie. WoW), put their Runeterra coat of paint on it and make everything nu-Blizzard fricked up in the past 10 years right in their own iteration of a fantasy MMORPG

They should add missions to kill other players as regular dailies you get before and after level cap. Im tired of mmos having almost all of the content seem like your playing a single player visual novel with no choices or stakes alongside X amount of people. Give players tangible fears, frustrations and a combat system that rewards skill of knowing when and where to use your abilities instead of the skill of memorizing a rotation.

I have not played a mmo in a decade almost, and I'm pretty sure this will be the last one I will give a shot in my life. I like lol lore and regions. Well, I liked it until they started a series of terrible releases and choices in the last three years.
Anyway. Region I am hyped for and if possible will choose my character from is Bilgewater because pirates are cool, first line of defense against pure evil too, faction wars and all but I fear Bilgewater will be expansion tier. For the type of character not sure. Yordles are based, but the world is filled with creeps like the guy who wants them to wear loose outfits in this thread and I always liked Yordles more as characters you meet and hang out with than your main character. Vastaya can be cool but too furry bait for me. Probably gonna stick with humans.
I hope I'll have a game I can play for a couple of months before I decide I'm done. Worst case scenario I'll ignore it and be no worse off. Hopefully they'll innovate like they are claiming to be and hopefully there'll be some body type b yordle ass. Biggest fear is I'll die of old age before they release it.
