I guess it's nice that Sega is still giving him a paycheck every week, but it feels like they're not taking full advantage of having this dude around. He should be the lead composer of more games and putting out more vocal tracks.
How old is he, around 60?
There's so much positive energy in this dude (at least in the video from OP pic) he definitely could make more music for modern Sega projects.
But since they're fricking idiots who like waste their talents we won't see anything.
He's a class act, always with a cheerful attitude and full of talent in anything he does.
A very underappreciated composer in the industry, or at least outside Japan. He deserves more recognition.
Frick, this guy have basically the same energy as Johnny Gioeli of Crush 40 who is really upbeat and energetic man in his 50s.
Dudes like them are responsible for at least 1/3 of soul in oldschool Sega games, because music was always a very important part of it. When they stopped used their services they've instantly lost it.
Nothing will beat this song and machine blaring in an arcade
My local arcade that disappeared a few years ago still had all of this including the monitors on top

He's actually only 54. He's the younger brother of the writer half of the duo that does the manga Arpeggio of Blue Steel.
He actually voices a few VF characters like Akira(in the first entry) and Kage(to this day).
OP you can't just post that without providing a link to the best goddamn song of that game.
>I WANNA FRRYYY SO HIGHHH!
BROO BROO SKAHHH
BROO BROO SKAAHS AH SEE
LEDS GOHO TOGEDDAH
LETS GOOOOO TO GAYBAAAR
Don't project your sexual preferences on other people
I WANNA
LETS GOOO トゥギャザー
This is the only vidya related thing that I will ever allow to be called soulful.
Well, this and Aquatic Ambience.
All modern sega games should just have this based autist singing in the background
>doesn't post it

This dude's awesome.
My favorite Mitsuyoshi song isn't even game related.
SOMEBODY'S COMING UP BEHIND YOOOUUUU
DO DO DO DO DO DODO DOO
Outside the weeb factor this shit is insanely corny

I've always thought this shit was cringe. Imagine being in your 60s and still milking this shit.
Sounds like a fricking blast tbqh.
