It’s not out for a month, I don’t want to play a demo just yet, maybe in a couple of weeks. But I will preorder the special edition for the battle-damaged cosmetic and because Treyon are based.
I was really interested in this since it's the same dev that did Terminator Resistance, which was surprisingly good. I watched some gameplay footage last night though and it looked abysmal.
Initial impression is very bad, game has crashed four times in ~five minutes of gameplay. Graphically, everything's very blurry no matter what I change the settings to and there's lots of stuttering even on my 3080 with DLSS enabled.
Figured out the blurriness... Game was running at lower resolution even though it was set to 1440p. Changed to fullscreen and manually set it to 1440p to fix.
It's garbage, and I loved Terminator Resistence. Quests are boring as shit, the npcs are as ugly as ever, the city is a ghost town, Combat and AI is still mediocre, except this time you're fighting generic punks instead of T-800s. The enviromental destruction is fun though. The references are cringe, especially the sunblock quest. Game is also a stuttery mess
It's hitching even on the lowest settings, 1920x1080, fullscreen exclusive, with DLSS turned up to Performance. That's on an RTX 3080. Definitely something wrong here, hopefully they get it fixed before launch.
Performance issues aside, it was a fun time. They nailed the feeling of Robocop. Very satisfying gun play, and throwing punks out of the windows of that high rise was great. Voice acting is kind of shit; I know a lot of these actors have passed away, but still. If they can sort the performance problems out I will be very happy.
OK OK I figured out the crashing issue. I restarted and disabled my memory OC and now it runs fine. Haven't had any issues with the OC before, but idk.
Weird, I haven't been crashing at all. I got frame dips from the first few gunfights sure, but it was smooth sailing otherwise. I want to say it's people shit builds, but even my machine was having a couple issues, especially when things got hectic. Fun game so far, I just hope the extra four weeks waiting is spent on performance.
I wouldn't say it's shit pcs I think it's shit optemization for a demo build and shader compilation issues.
After playing about 15 minutes my fps stabilized but it's still a really buggy build
Is it out?...
Demo
Steam comments say its runs like ass
RoboDoc was great.

dlc worth getting?
It's more of the same. If you enjoyed the base game then give it a shot.

Do I need to have seen RoboCop 2 and 3 to understand the demo?
you have to read all the novels and watch the HBO miniseries that leads into the comic run to understand
Played it on my rx570 and it ran 15-30fps on low with fsr2, but cutscenes ran 10-15fps.
What in the god damn it's almost 50GB for the demo
I really wanted to check out the gore effects but 50gg is steep for a demo that runs like ass

Still waiting on this 50gb fricking demo to download
Ok, seven CTDs, in just a few minutes of gameplay. It's over.

I'd buy that for a dollar
>Crashed in the opening cutscene

Worst game I've played in a long time
