After installing the MOTD+Stattrack mod I've confirmed beyond a doubt that scouts are the worst players by far. Across 100 haz 5 games they have more than twice as many downs as every other class put together, and less than 1/10th of the second lowest class' damage, that being the Driller.

Drillers tend to out-kill or tie with Engies, but the total damage over a mission puts Gunner and Engie about 1000 damage over Driller on average. Gunner and Engie are within ~500 damage of each other on average.
Drillers, when they use the EPC, always outmine scouts too, by an average of 153 minerals.
literally every time i ended up in troony using a parser lobby as a driller i was second in damage (as it's just not possible to outdamage a nonmoronic engie)
Just started using the LOK-1, really enjoying it so far. Killing enemies just by looking at them is fun. The low ammo count makes me rely on my turret more for dps.

At lower difficulties maybe but in haz 4+ the shield is a very handy get out of jail free card, especially on defense objectives that land in cramped corners. His primaries also offer good, consistent damage at any range so you can just hold down the trigger and mow down bugs.
Do wish zips were a little faster or had a larger supply though.
Been using this for the DRAK-25, not sure if I like Aggressive Venting that much though, seems like it's really difficult to get much value out of it what with having to be so close to bugs when it goes off.

Other than that, id swap T3 with Hot Feet, it's not necessary mind you but there's no point in worrying about cooling rate when you're just gonna grapple away or use manual heat dump

All downloadable DLC's are purely cosmetic and you can just unlock it anyway by just playing the game.
DLC cosmetics aren't in any of the drop pools. All the unlockable stuff from previous seasons is in there however.
