Racing game bros, how we feeling?
Mind you, this is about to be the most widely adopted racing game of all time, possibly surpassing Mario Kart. Whether you are excited or not, the importance to the genre needs to be recognized.

I'm put off by it sharing a battle pass with Battle Royale. Either we are going to be drip fed cosmetics, or the Fortnite players are going to be predisposed to hate our guts.
I wish they would just have the game mode give us XP towards the Rocket League pass, since apparently cosmetics will be crossed over anyway (??)
Isnt this shit just a one time gimmick?
No it's a permanent addition alongside the Lego and rhythm games.
Whether or not they are shelves due to lack of interest is another story, but for the time being it's here to stay.
Considering it's the only mode with cosmetics in the normal battlepass, I'd assume they are expecting it to last a long time
morons at Ubisoft NADEO missed a opportunity to use trackmania on this
the frick is this
?si=AfBVlrvCtFFgAf2t
no I saw the trailer
I want to know what the frick it is
It's a new racing game mode for fortnite what is there not to get?
It's a racing game
The physics of this actually look surprisingly decent.
It looks like it's treading the line between generic car racing simulator and kart racer. Looks really cool.
Only issue so far is that all of the cosmetics seem to be too realistic and grounded for the gameplay they are going for. I don't want a Porsche crossover, I want the Mystery Machine damnit
They'll probably introduce a cross-cosmetic system with Rocket League.
>Rocket League cars
>In Fartshite
It's fricking over for Psyonix. Holy shit.
>Rocket Racing
What's this?
The physics look weird, rocket league is usually smoother. Then again I can see them going for a mario-kart type game which is possible since they already have super power abilities from the Rumble game mode.
RL is dying so they pull shit like this when they should have been doing this 5+ years ago.
Play Wreckfest
For me it was Onrush
Why are they standing on the vehicles, looks weird and distracting.
That's just because the teaser is from the "Big Bang" event where they also previewed the new Lego mode.
I doubt that's going to be in the actual gameplay. It was just part of the reveal event.
Blame Epic for approaching ESRB to try and get individual modes age rated in the first place
>I doubt that's going to be in the actual gameplay
how else will you see your character skins dummy
of course the gameplay will look like that
I actually really like it. I think it's a fun and unique way to add personality, and hope it's in the actual gameplay as long as they keep it optional
How fricking moronic are some of you holy shit, can you really not fricking inference that was for fortnite trailer purposes? Did *all* the cars have people on them? Jesus fricking christ
He kinda makes a good point though that it's really the only way to properly make use of the Fortnite player models in a racing game, which they WILL try to do
Cars can use the weapon wraps you have in BR or someshit idk, there's no way they're going to have essentially bobblehead like designs on cars
why not? the rocket league cars always had toppers, why not make them a fortnite skin you already own?
they aren't going to hide the main cosmetic they sell in this new mode
This. However it's handled, Fortnite skins WILL be represented because they need a reason for players who only play the racing mode to buy the battlepass.
Reminder that all Rocket League cosmetics are crossing over EXCEPT car toppers and antennas.
Suspicious.
btw this mode is why they started age-restricting certain cosmetics because it's rated E while the main BR mode is rated T.
So what the hell is happening? there are 3 games launching inside fortnite now?
A "survival crafting" game from LEGO
A racing game from Psyonix
And a rhythm game from Harmonix?
this is fricking weird I don't get it
So basically Fortnite saw the success of Roblox and the way it's a hub for user created games.
They decided that they can oneup that by not only having user created games, but also developer created games.
These projects are the first wave of what I assume will be many more.
this is madness
It's honestly not a bad idea at all for them
Yes it is a bad idea you israelite shill
Okay speak on that. What's so bad about it as far as Epic is concerned?
They're about to hemmorage the 100 million players that just came for BR, for starters. No one asked for racing games with Fortnite cosmetics
The Battle Royale mode isn't going anywhere.
Hemmoraging? The frick are you talking about
>These projects are the first wave of what I assume will be many more.
It isn't going to be successful, no one is going to play these garbage modes
Yeah I'm sure anon
I think it's purely an effort to get players out of the creator content so they can stop paying random people for popular maps. If they can reign everyone back into their ecosystem again, they can keep more profits without looking like the bad guys and outright banning user maps or paying people less per play
>I think it's purely an effort to get players out of the creator content so they can stop paying random people for popular maps
Nah if they wanted to do that they wouldn't have made the new interface look like Roblox.
Tons of people are going to be playing the Lego mode. Festival is the only one that probably won't have many players.
what *is* the lego mode? a survival crafting game but you play as lego versions of fortnite skins? like cubeworld? third person minecraft? is it just that save the world mode they neglect?
what the FRICK is going on?
I think it's just an open world PvE Lego game. run around and do quests, collect shit, build shit. same stuff you'd do in a standalone Lego game.
Yeah the Festival demo was super underwhelming. Literally just a 5 button rhythm game with zero interesting twists to the genera.
Almost certainly the first to die
It's Epig floundering, capsizing and sinking the companies they bought under the sea with them as well.
Amen. They are losing the plot entirely
The Rocket League community is not vibing
Anyone that stuck around once they got bought eats literal shit. The fact the community hasn't fully cratered to 0 ESPECIALLY NOW THAT THEY TOOK OUT TRADING is insanity to me. Either Rocket League had literal children or was filled with HUEHUEHUE monkeys after the F2P switch.
Either way, not my fricking problem and the faster Psyonix dies the better.
Some people like to play games, Black person
Why are you miserable
So this must be why they're dropping P2P cosmetic trades in Rocket League next week.
Correct.
I think it looks like it has far more potential than any other racing game since at least CTR:NF
I'm happy
I hope they somehow bring the Sweet Tooth skin to all platforms in this.
For me it's the Metroid skin but something tells me that's not going to happen
Yeah my favourite part about Rocket League was driving the cars on the ground too
I just want to see the courses already ffs
Damn I might actually have to download Fortnite now on console so I don't have to deal with EGS shit running in the background
Free?
yeah
Honestly I'm more interested in Lego. Like, what the frick even is that shit?
Think it could be competitively viable?
maybe if its pure racing but if they include mario kart homosexualry then no, it would become another generic shovelware slot machine
