Depends.
Is it sex for the sole purpose of churning out more cannon fodder for the Emperor's armies? Not heresy. Otherwise yes.

The warrant of trade gives me the right to deal with Xenos which I will assume includes having sex with them
Ships generally have a spare or two aboard when going on long trips. Very short trips can also be done without a navigator, it just takes way longer to cover any larger distances that way.
What do you think? The context is her somehow knowing so much about cumrag. The options to kill her are from her telling you to kill her after her torture
Not sure, Yrliet needs to tell you that she feels you tried. If you pass the coerce check with the humans but fail the persuade with the eldar it's ok with her.
well she won't tell you where her cache is if you actually try to save her buddies
Well I just let Chorda's ships do their thing and I don't want to repeat everything I've done since so I'll just continue. I'll probably end up killing Yrliet later on anyway.
This game really needs a way to pre-buff
Everyone b***hes about Pathfinder games but at least you can avoid having characters die in the first round of combat before you can even fricking move. When your tank dies without you even having a chance to move him, something's wrong with the game.
really can do a lot, especially as you get certain buffs and they scale. When you get arch militant an extra early turn plus cautious approach can really help you survive the early round of versatility. Likewise an extra turn on a Psyker can get the buffs rolling and an early pascal turn can initiate tactical knowledge stacks. There’s a cloak in act 2 that stacks dodge for each time you’re targeted by an ability too. An early turn can get that dodge rolling though I prefer to have it on an arch militant. This game has a lot of snowballing into tankiness and having that initial extra turn jumpstarts the whole thing. Especially on ambushes.
Your “tanks” naturally get a lot tankier with better heavy armor in act 2 or dodge items for agility tanks, though usually you still need to survive to that first turn to get endure going to atleast stack deflection. I’ll often place them further back behind cover turn 1.
Either way an officers free early turn along with one or two high initiative characters allows you to get buffs rolling and clear the chaff so your squad isn’t eliminated turn 1.
Nta but the main thing with those fights where you lose people on turn 1 is to place them somewhere you can't get multiple people flanked at once. Just spreading them around and behind cover helps.
With toybox anything is possible. Though with the recent patch both giving you more rep and lowering the the rank threshholds, it might be possible to hit 5 if you started a new game after it now. Maybe.
The least consistent part of Yrliet's betrayal is the implication that she's smart or observant enough to discover Achilleas getting turned after being oblivious to a Slaaneshi cult operating under her nose for however long.
Yrliet getting drunk and carrying the RT around, Jae convincing evryone to get even more drunk, Ulfar stuffing his face, Marzipan playing 5 finger felay, Drunk Abelard, Heinrix and Argenta bond over war stories and how much they dislike Yrliet, Idira and Cassia having a warp drinking game, while Pasqal looks down on the laypeople
Is it even possible to get the better inquisitor signet rings? Using toybox there doesn't seem to be any way to avoid getting at least one -1 mercy counter. What actions even give you +1?
So, depending on how well you do in the assault of Eufrates II the circumstances might change? I managed to complete every check successfully and decimated the heretics during planetary assault and now this success is reflected in-game. Very cool!
I failed skill check with assaulting that doom chaos guy who later you fight along space wolves but because i made peace between SW and mechanicus they charged and saved me, this still counted as overhelming successs so corrupted mechancius gave up, Really cool
I mean you cAn do a lot of little things with him that add up to being usful. but he just doesn't scale up with buffs so he is always going to seem weaker then he is. Would I bend over backwards to make him a usfull damage dealer? No. Would I replace him with another arch militant? No. He does what he does and that's fine, try playing without him and you will realize how tedious it is to replace him.
My advice is to make him a grand strategist and honestly pick up a bunch of the skill check abilities when he takes common talents. Look for the tanky items and slap them on him, going first in combat and having a million Ms you can buff up and place zones before the fight then put him in a spot to absorb damage.
Speaking with Marzipan before the arena fight. Telling him that he should be grateful for the opportunity to serve the Rogue Trader. His jaw drops, astounded by your sheer fricking arrogance. Worth locking him out of being a companion for the pure hilarity.
I love act 3 for how you can try to act arrogant as frick and it either works or backfires horribly. The whole act is full of black humor (try bringing Yrliet and Marazhai when you free Heinrix someday - that shit is comedy gold).
>Trial of Werserian >find who was real culprit behind the treason >get special dialogue option on verdict thanks to this >if I choose it nothing happens, I have to choose one that makes me look like dufus sentencing people on meer guess
OWCLAAAAAT
Worked fine for me, did you specifically get the option to have Abelard listen as you accuse everyone and then pick "Abelard, take it from here" instead of blaming the Sauerback guy?
What I did was to go to Suerbacks, pas the checks that made him accuse me of beeing a xenophile, went to Drivestem, threaten the boy with Heinrix, start a verdict, choose first option in pic rel.
And once I choose it the textbox dissapears, and ... nothing. I can talk to Drivestem again and then I get again option to choose who to blame, but without the first option which makes me accuse suerback or whatever his name was just on ''you look at me funny'' basis.
literally did that a day ago and it all worked as intended 🙂 But yeah run into a massive bug during the execution everyone in the crowd had long arms like the guy from robocop lmao
>execution everyone in the crowd had long arms like the guy from robocop lmao
I choose it as feature, since genetic purges stoped many mutants gained chance to live :v)
Did you never discuss it with Abelard? Try talking to him before this, he should tell you to try accusing everyone so he can figure out who seems guilty. Then say you'll give the verdict, bring up everyone's frickups and wait for Abelard to give you a hint, THEN pick that option.
>Try talking to him before this, he should tell you to try accusing everyone so he can figure out who seems guilty.
...when? before landing on planet? I have no unique dialogues options. and after landing on planet he is mandatory party member so I cant talk to him.

No, while you're walking around getting clues. Oh, it might be that you talk to Clementia and he jumps in there.

Anon thank you, it not exactly how you described it. But grandpa did suggested accusing everyone.
But before that I had to run down stairs, to that gaprak who was praying, see him dead, find letter on him. THEN accuse gaprak fammily, and then Abelard suggest it.

has anyone gotten past that arena fight since the patch? maybe there's some party combo that doesn't bug out?
soo.. which planet gets a new landing zone in chapter 4? this is my second run and only now i realized that the empty planets you've explored before might be landable by now.
Good for you, i finished game before i learned you could explore shit you discovered before. For my defence i had so many bugs since chapter 4 i focused only on finishing game.
This is my main problem with the game for now, the game doesn't tell you so you waste time checking systems which may or may not have content. It's terrible.
Abelard have the Voxmaster play the Balanciaga meme music and assemble everyone on the main deck, and also make it known that tonight it shall be referred to as the catwalk.
>want to respec someone at level 30 >have to through their fricking talents from level 3 or 4, remembering what I had before just to change one thing
you don't know pain anon
Yeah, one thing I shouldn't have been thinking heading into the game's last fight was "frick you, why are there still level ups to deal with?". There are just too many and it starts feeling like busywork.
Because it is busywork. It's a psychological trick to make the game feel longer than it really is. It's like taking a girl on a date, you take her to three different avenues to make the date "feel" longer.
>buying out a street carnival’s stock of twelve mutants costs as much as securing an interplanetary arms deal
Yeah, I like the system in theory but the particulars are really goofy
The idea of a Warhammer 40k RPG sounds great to me but I’ve heard Pathfinder is hell to play if you’re not well versed in these types of games. Is this one fine for someone new to these more “classic” styled RPGs?
no matter how much I try to stack shit I cant make assassin or melee in general be remotely as effective as argenta rapid fire heavy bolting 3 times on her own turn
i have 160 lethality
i am attacking openings
it does 100 dmg ok
but then with action economy at best I can hit another enemy with second weapon
that's it
meanwhile argenta burst
then run and gun
then single shoots
then wild fire
then bursts again

You are supposed to stack every almost every single talent and stat which boosts evasion. I just finished the game as an assassin and he by the end of the game he hit for 800 and 4000 after ramping. To add to this he was completely invincible after level 30 due to permanent 95% evasion and 95% parry on every enemy in the game.
I was trying to max to different ones, mainly church and third one because the used partially different materials for leveling. But until recent patches the rep curve was highly broken/bugged which resulted in me being only lvl 16 in tow factions by the start of act five so i didn't get to have top shelf gear for testing.
>a fricking defiler appears >meele does nothing >psykers peril themselfs >ulfar "go for the throat " makes him run to the other point of the map >Argenta dumps an entire heavy bolter clip round one and soloes it
I love this nun like you could not believe
I've been building her like a sniper but I'm still in act 1 so she gets to chain a lot of OHKOs on rabble. Maybe I should try her as a bolter user once I get Yrliet. Feels like I wouldn't necessarily wanna take both of them in my party though.
As in not working on reload if you save at prep or with grand strategist?
Or both
As in not letting you activate Bring it Down with all Officers that have Seize besides the one that acts first, while also letting them activate non Officers abilities in the Seize turn.
Elantach?
They can see you, you're right here elantach.
Oh, right, it's that thing Abelard does! This is the rogue trader of thr mon-..human Imperium, he travels the stars to expand m..human borders by colonising and ravaging new worlds..well ok he's not bad compared to the other filthy mon'keigh, he acknowledges that the Asuryani cause is superior and thus provides aid to Aeldari in distress. So you should listen to him.
Was that adequate?
The story is awful, Kangmaker and Wrath were much better.
NOTHING feels connected at all in Rogue Trader and the villains are all literallywhos with barely any screen presence. >Cult of Dawn is dead by Act 4 when you fight what feels like the actual final boss >Nothing in notDrow city matters, including the sun stealing shit from Act 1, nothing the notDrow elves do matters, and what you think was connected to the story actually just happened by coincidence >Uralon & Kunrad appear what feels like TWICE in the whole game, the second as a boss battle >game does FFIX Necron tier nonsense with the actual final boss who is asspulled out of nowhere in the last seconds
What the FRICK were they thinking, the story events of the previous games were all neatly connected, especially Kangmaker which has the best final act depending on how many allies you recruited.
Areelu enough has 10x the screen time of literally any villain tier character in RT.
Is there a more ridiculous combo than pyro/sanctic warrior+Arch Militant? RT and Cassia basically soloed the the palace fight at the end of act 2 since all my other companions were knocked out almost immediately.
"Abelarde, I will soon have a very important meeting and I hope it remains private, even for the rest of my crew." >"As you will, lord Rogue Trader."
"There are some preparations I will need for it, seneschal. Tell the Vox Master I need to discuss something with the High Factotum." >"I'm on my way, my lord." >30 seconds pass >"My lord Rogue Trader, what may I be useful for you?"
"Danrock, I am planning a private meeting in the ship and I require you to bring me the objects I need." >"Of course, my lord Rogue Trader. What shall I supply you with?"
"I require 30 or more candles, 2 scented candles, an antique radio, an standard tool set, 2 body-length towels , a complete catalog of top quality alcoholic beverages and 40 black roses, if there aren't any available any other black flower will do fine even if their petals are dyed." >"I am pleased to inform you that we have almost everything on the ship. The only items I will need to purchase are the scented candles and the black roses. Do not worry, lord Rogue Trader. I will bring them to you shortly."
"Excellent! Thank you High Factorium. You may leave." >Abelarde approaches you immediately after Danrok left the deck. >"Excuse my interruption, lord Rogue Trader. I beg your pardon for bothering with questions but my curiosity has overcome me." >"Could you inform me what is the event that will take place?" >Abelarde's charisma's skill failed.
"It is not an official matter for the ship, so I won't need your help, my seneschal. You may continue with our duties." >reloading >"Could you inform me what is the event that will take place?" >Abelarde's charisma's skill succeeded. >"There is a member of my crew who I must know better. I shall not make the same mistake as my predecessor. That is the reason why I chose to meet with the Vox Master Vigdis. I have to take precautions and be prepared. Danrok will take care of getting the supplies and I will make the preparations for the meeting."
>"It greatly saddens me to remember what those heretic bastards did to lady Rogue Trader Theodora. I understand your suspicions towards your crew but I ask you to believe in us more. If there was heressy in them, sister Argenta would've detected it, and rest assured that I have not let my guard down since then." >"I ask you to reconsider whatever your final decision after the meeting may be."
"Abelarde, you have gotten everything wrong. I will not get dispose of the Vox Master. There is a Void in her, deep inside that voidborn body of hers is something missing. She lacks something and it my plan and duty to fill that Void, if you can understand the ulterior motive I mentioned. (if you know what I mean) >You wiggle your eyebrows at him to further prove your point. >"How splendind, your lordship!", he says before wiggling his eyebrows at you in response with a smug face. >Both of you wiggle your eyebrows for an entire minute before some of the deck crew stare at you. >You turn around and everyone stops staring and return to their stations immediately.
"Well, Abelarde. It is time for me to take care of the preparations. I will be busy, so I bestow upon you my duties in the meantime." >"Everything will go as planned, lord Rogue Trader. I offer you my entire support in that matter." (Go get her, tiger!)

This is the real talk, the soul what got castrated in the west, you will never get something like this in any media made by western devs what creates an innate joy laugh and most importantly the sense of superiority coming from the White male towards non-human creatures around him. This is why despite all flaws and crippled unfinished game rogue trader plays and reads better than super polished bg3 and even more than rest of trash AAA produced in the last 5 years.
Marazhai enjoys watching your suffercore magical girl anime play out in front of him, Cassia is astounded that your mutual feelings escape even her snowflake vision, Pasqal wants to collect more data, other mostly shit on it.
Irida tries to listen to the voices in the walls, to figure out how their releationship is going and has a fricking stroke. Abel doesnt really understand what is going on, but he is happy for you.
Argenta actually agrees with her on Chorda. Marazhai likes to troll her but occasionally they have this bantering frenemy vibe (and he briefly realizes that Yrliet has been dealing with the warp shit all this time and making do without killing anyone). Jae talks you into getting Yrliet to distract everyone in the bureaucracy quest. Cassia seems to think RT with Yrliet is cute.
most of the dialogue I have seen towards her tends to give off a feeling of "I tolerate your prescience because I have to", and I've seen one bit of companion banter where people wonder what the frick I'm doing actually being nice to a Xeno. It's funny because I started her romance by accident when the game only gave me two options of "Not every human is a piece of shit" and "We will never under stand each other". Apparently just not being a dick to everyone is extremely rare.
Would Abelard be a bro and try to set you up with his granddaughter/Great-granddaughter?
Not for political purposes or anything, but just to be a wingman.
House Gaprak is lucky their bullshit only cost them a wife and a son. They now better than to force the subject, lest it lead to Vicent Cuckrak's unfortunate and quite permanent reassignment to the prison planet.
>mfw the Lord Captain announces an alliance between himself and the Eldar on Janus right in full view of a member of the Ordo Xenos
I love making Abelard's blood pressure go out of control
Pretty annoyed you cant bring the small militia you make in Cumrag with you, when you escape.
I promised them a way out, and i wanted to atleast get the option to try.
I think an anon said that the allies were programmed as enemies that cant actively target you, so they tend to prefer attacks that just put you in the line of fire. Theres also vulnerabilities to non damaging effects that "should" only target enemies.
>Three days have passed since the vox-system broadcasted anything other than subdued moans and wet slapping noises
for fricks sake Jae, did you record us again?
Yeah I already did it, but I was expecting something more dramatic, with both him and Yrliet
Instead Heinrix just takes them both away with no dialogue at all, boring as frick, I wanted a ape out like sacrificing Camellia
Hereticus has another secret ending where you become a demon prince, but Iconoclast makes more lorewise sense. Since most of your companions would teamkill you the second you take a heretic choice.
I find it gay that the heretical run doesn't involve plotting some plausibly deniable demise of your Inquisitorial narc and the moralgay sister, and/or having to fight off a mutiny if you fail to covertly eliminate the staunchest loyalists.
No, it's all, let's decorate my bedroom with corpses and intestines, because that's the subtle subversion Chaos is so feared for.
Yeah I can't take this shit seriously. Like when you can infiltrate the heretics you get to be like "tee hee I always wanted to try this" instead of basically the Iconoclast option with a [Lie] in front.
Honestly hereticus options like killing the Commissar for Malice work. Basically Hereticus early on should have seemed more "pragmatic" or "selfish" or even be similar to certain Iconoclasts options.
Basically: It should have been on the surface altered iconoclast and Dogmatic options but as if the player were mixing those two be the biggest butthole ever.
Example:
Iconocloast: Offer medical assistance.
Heretic: Offer medical assistance to prolong his suffering.
Dogmatic: [Kill them] in the name of the god emperor, die xenos!
Heretic: [kill them] Slaughter them all, don't let no one escape!
Iconcoclasts anti tyrannical options could easily have a heretical variant, and dogmatic options easily could have a heretic version enjoying the power they have over others.
Then Act 4 is when the mask comes off and you get openly heretical options (early options include gathering the pieces of the daemonsword).
I found it weird that I could hand over a planet to Chaos, then only a few weeks later allow a daemon engine onto my ship RIGHT IN FRONT OF Argenta and Jimmi and all they do is get annoyed and ask me not to. It takes two more acts of me being the most obvious Chaos worshipper ever before they catch on and then they leave, they don't even try to kill me.

I felt like Lich snuck by until you jump the shark with the giant temple of doom.
Tzeentch is the chaos god of trolling, having a psychotic idiot as one of his chosen over a scheming wizard must drive both his own followers and Khornates nuts
I like to think you are really just a Khorne cultist. Most encounters ends in violence, you collect trophies from your kills and decorate your bedroom with skulls and shit. Also your scheeming is as subtle as a brick to the face, to the point that your dogmatic followers probably just think you are doing it as a practical joke.
I wish you could choose your patron, dedicate the sword to them and gain powers and artifacts depending on the god you swear to. Tzeentch is cool, but I'm more of a Slaanesh/Khorne guy.
It would be cool if you were a Slaanesh follower, and was able to make the knife-ears in Cumrag feel uncomftable.

I just like the idea of the dark eldar feeling increasingly uncomftable at how well you adapt to being trapped in Cumrag.
>get off the floating death trap that is a voidship in w40k universe >get to frick the queen and chill all day >no IoM bullshit >no xeno bullshit >no Chaos bullshit
Seems comfy.
I'm legitimately getting filtered by the start of chapter 3. I am getting obliterated by the commisar before I can fricking move any single one of my characters. the snake fight is a little easier but it's still the same bullshit. I have no idea what I did wrong but there's 50 enemies, you're forced to start with all 3 characters surrounded, and everything instakills me.
Malice fight is ok if you have Abelard, just let him tank while you (and Yrliet) hide behind him and wait for the other guys to show up in 3 turns. Even easier if you also have Argenta.
>snake
Put your MC and Argenta in cover off to the side so as to have every enemy in enfilade, run Abelard up to Malice to initiate convo and hold him there until Argneta mops up the adds.
the "Devastation" 7 drucc cruiser one?

Imperium of man = The Empire and Bretonnia
Eldar = High elves
Dark Eldar = Dark Elves
Necrons = Vampires/Tomb Kings
Orks = Grenskins
Old ones/Slann = Lizardmen
Chaos = Chaos
The Eldar Death god is already going to do that. You just need to stay alive together with Yrliet until that happens. And wouldnt you know, a biomancer Psyker can stay alive indefinitely.
>since Owlcat has already said that they dont take that many variables into consideration
What they said was nothing more than a lazy excuse for not wanting to fix Arue's ending, in the same game where you can get a very specific ending by failing two companion questlines and succeeding in another (Wenduag Ember and Greybor)
Not wanting to take variables into consideration my ass
>why do I need to go to a planet 4 systems away just to get a stamp on a piece of paper that you should be able to do right here >i dunno God-Emperor says so >oh ok
>why do I need to go to a planet 4 systems away just to get a stamp on a piece of paper that you should be able to do right here >i dunno God-Emperor says so >oh ok
Don't forget to do nothing but wait patiently, the outcome is definitely worth it. (And you even get a cheevo for it.)
Why are act 4 projects automatically completing themselves the instant I click execute? Is this a bug? Or did I accidentally cheat with toybox without realizing it?
If efficiency reduces build time by (efficiency) turns then it's plausible that you get the initial build time reduced to zero.
I can't be fricked to decompile the game to look for an answer.
Yeah it was just in foulstone, I just tried with another planet that didn't have 10 efficiency and it wasn't instantaneous

My Cassia just killed the defiler by herself, damn does she deal a ton of damage if she gets going. Saved the day for me. Didn't even have to destroy any pylons.
I hope in the sequel there are some environments that don't look exactly the same. Oh and maybe fighting non-human enemies might be fun too. Just my two cents to Owlcat.
What build for Heinrix?
Is there a point in going Arch Mili?
Isn't he just meant to attack melee wise and cast spells, what is he even getting Versa. from

>A Khornite subversive cult is comparable to a doomsday cult acting directly as an apparent and open threat storming into locations/important buildings, blockading hive cities, bombing water wells/power plants, deliberately kidnapping people sacrificing them to summon Khornite demons, and forcibly conscripting people to fight for them. >A Slaaneshi subversive cult will infiltrate from within and act the equivalent of a woke cult that normalizes "degeneracy" from within, dismantling morals and questioning the authority of the emperor, trying to pin dissenters as people trying to take away their way of life, dismantling a way of life, and moral grandstanding. >A Nurgle subversive cult will act like the Rajneeshpuram cult trying to exploit the weak and destitute by posing as a healing/salvation group to gain support curing ailments but instead infecting people with Nurgle rot/growths, or commit bioterror/"poisoning the well" to turn a hive city into a zombie/poxwalker infestation if they are trying to destroy a planet. >Tzeentch???
How the frick do you even make a Tzeetchen subversive cult?
People fall to chaos through sunk cost fallacies. They start researching chaos to better combat it, and they meet up with likeminded individuals who are also searching for knowledge. Over time said knowledge becomes darker and darker, until you eventually realise that there is no way back. If you reveal the group then you too will be executed, same with if you use the things you have learned.
So it becomes easier to climb down the rabbit hole and embrace the forbidden knowledge, knowing that you are already damned.
At least thats how it started in the Siege of Praag, in Warhammer Fantasy.
His cults are usually smaller and only relies on a few in charge who actually knows whats going on. Since he rewards ambition and schemes, so the more Tzeentch followers you bring into your cult, the bigger the chance that you get dicked over.

A Tzeetnchian cult would be like the rule of two in Star Wars, only a couple of homosexuals know what's going on and pinning people together.
Me, I'm more of a Genestealer homosexual. I love the Cthulhu cult feel of people encountering forbidden knowledge so eye-opening and mind-shattering that the cult either turns mad or starts falling in love with their creators building a family/mixing genes with the beloved creators
With resolve stacking it can one shot groups and bosses, not sure how MC will compare, you could go that dogmatic psy rating helm which idira can't equip.
Alright it's done but it took three tries. I ended up having to deliberately block the pathing of the priests and they still managed to heal one of the enemies twice. Dumb fricking bald homosexuals. Thankfully Argenta got a bunch of penetrating sniper shots and really thinned a couple of the groups quickly.
Its currently still so broken that the game is more fun to talk about, rather than playing it. But if you really want to then you can play through a mostly functioning act 1-2
Why? Abelard being a bro doesn't mean his house can handle this shit any better than the current one. homie is already using his position to put all his kids in high places.
I have a question for the anons who played Kingmaker and Wotr.
How much did Owlcat update those games in terms of adjusting things in story or with companion writing?
All I've heard they added some stuff to the mythic paths in Wotr. How significant was that?
Asking since I'm curious about the realistic chances of Owlcat fleshing out the last two acts of the game and maybe updating some stuff regarding Yrliet's act 3 shit.
They only thing they added in WotR's EE (which was just a glorified free update) was one quest and a few minor tidbits of late-game content. And when I say minor I mean minor, like a single dialogue option-tier of minor
Realisticly they might add a couple new companion missions, but only for the dlc companions. Besides that we have to be really fricking lucky for them to flesh anything else out. Or even just fix all the major bugs.
The most you'll get is dlc that adds stuff to act 5. The 2nd part of the mini campaign adds a dungeon to act 5, and they've one more DLC to do for Wrath that is in act 5 as well, apparently it's meant to be a sort of Citadel dlc type deal of hanging out with your party and characters from the story.
I kinda want to start over my Officer Commisar run just to do Rykard first so I can recruit Jimmy and see his dialogue for the Abelard ship quest and on the prison planet.
They are Eldar. They will probably frick fricking you up, and instead somehow cause a planet or two to be lost in the warp. Only to insult you for being an arrogant mon-keigh, act as if thet planned the whole thing from the start and then piss off.
The only good Eldar content is when Necrons show up and laugh at them for being a bunch of ignorant bone worshipping savages. Still laugh at Starbane divining a bunch of shit to save Carnac from Necrons only for Orikan to just undo all the divinations by travelling back in time and dumping tons of necrons on enemy positions.
>Battle of Ogrys (895.M41) - The Invaders' brutal destruction of the Craftworld Idharae came home to roost some 43 standard years later when the Aeldari survivors of the Invaders' original assault, now with the full backing of the Alaitoc Craftworld, launched their own assault upon Ogrys, the Invaders' homeworld. Still recovering their numbers from the original attack upon Idharae, the Invaders were incapable of properly defending their fortress-monastery from the vengeance-minded xenos. The Invaders were quickly defeated by the Aeldari and were reduced in size to a mere 3 companies of surviving Astartes and lost most of their battle honours and much of their Chapter wargear and vehicles to the destruction of their fortress-monastery. The surviving Space Marines of the Invaders were forced to become a fleet-based Chapter, moving their operations to the remnants of their Chapter fleet that survived the massacre on Ogrys.
I think it's funny how I started out wanting to play dogmatic with some iconoclast to be a little more reasonable but I've fallen into going full dogma chad and throwing my weight around and I'm really having fun with it. I normally play a goody two shoes in every rpg.
How do Jaegays exist? Maybe I missed something but she doesn't seem to have a single redeeming quality, she's not even hot like that other brown bawd from Dragon Age 2 to justify fricking her.
Nobody, not even normalgays likes her, she's the perfect combination of boring and annoying, being a prostitute certainly doesn't help. Most people that praise her here just do it to stir shit up, like this gay
holy shit are Cassiagays still seething that Jae gets a good ending?
>If you think popularity equals quality
Well I don't, so that's good I guess
Anonymous
I know you don't. You just want to seethe at her for getting a better ending and her being less popular is the only thing you've got.

>You just want to seethe at her for getting a better ending
Not really, in fact I like Cassia's ending if I'm not a fan of how she only has a single good one, but if you want to yourself that then go ahead
I don't really get the hate for Jae. Yrliet is barely a romance and Cassia is an ugly mutant. She isn't really better or worse than the other two options.
>doing Eufrates II >clear a fight and randomly a text box appears at the top that say "the ship must have one third.-----" and disappears before I can finish the rest
Am i missing something important, or did the game bug, or what? The message appeared for a second and then disappeared.
There's only to reasons to be a Jaegay. One is that no matter ho cute Cassia is her romance will always end on a bittersweet note due to her existence as a navigator. Out of the three b***hes you can frick Jae has the "best" ending. The second reason is if your RT is a dyke then she's really your only option.
Jae gives me free stuff and it's outright stated that the moment you start romancing her she drops all other potential relationships other than her completely relatable unrequited lust for Argenta.
I just wish the ending slides weren't so fricking barrebones and I'm not even talking about romance. I remember going out of my way to max all the crusade stats and all I got was one measly little slide consisting of one sentence. How are the slides so shit when the rest of the game is so needlessly verbose?
You're clearly misremembering because Kingmaker's ending slides are great. Lengthy, fully voice acted and they even focus on irrelevant shit you probably forgot about like the lizard village
seriously though how are you supposed to be able to kill the commisar the first time you meet him
Go into your cargo inventory, take weapons that are there, equip yourself accordingly.
Murder the treacherous space elf, give her spirit stone to snek, and build a good merc
You did get your gear back right?
I love this fish
kek you wish she looked like that.
I don't, it's just fanart, I love my cute fishfu as she is
CASSIA A bawd!
A bawd!!!!
Is it really being a bawd when it's just the tip?
Jesus christ that's graphic
Exhibisitonist sex wtih Cassia
is sex heresy
Yes goy, sex is heresy, don't reproduce or you'll make the Emperor mad!
Depends.
Is it sex for the sole purpose of churning out more cannon fodder for the Emperor's armies? Not heresy. Otherwise yes.
How would you make new loyal Imperial subjects without sex?
Gestation pods.
>daemonculaba bad
>surrogate servitors good
sasuga imperialkeks
Rare and mostly forbidden technology.
a human having sex with a navigator is heresy because navigators need to keep their kids inbred and humans shouldn't lust after mutant scum
also being a weirdo sex pervert who fricks fish is inviting slaanesh
The nobles are all slaaneshi anyway.
Also the armed forces are khornate and the hive masses nurglite.
Imperium IS Chaos.
Not falling for your propaganda
its fine as long as you don't go overboard
I hope not or Jae broadcasted my heresy to the whole ship sans one deck
>Sans one deck
what did they do to you
Nothing they're actually based because they didn't hear it so I can go there for some peace, but the helmsmen says the vox was broken so they're the only deck on the ship that missed it
At least everyone agrees that you are very proficient at that particular heresy.
The warrant of trade gives me the right to deal with Xenos which I will assume includes having sex with them
Considering how much jae has no
All prostitutes get the rope
>fem RT becomes a jealous b***h because she failed a logic test and misunderstood
actual woman moment kino
well maybe if someone wasn't a fricking jezebel then there wouldn't be anything to misunderstand!
How much of this is a meme? My femRT was bffs with Cassia the whole game.
I couldn't believe this either, but it's real, I checked the files.
who replaces cassia if you abort her ?
Good question.
Also a good question is how your boat managed to limp back home without a Navigator if you took Cassia to Cumrag.
You may have the Cassini Navigator from the corrupted ship but the game never bothers to explain it anyway.
Iirc you can pick up a slightly mutated navigator in act 2.
is he a possible companion or he just chills on the ship? I'm a heretic so I blasted him to get the case he was guarding
Just chills on the ship and is never mentioned again.
Ships generally have a spare or two aboard when going on long trips. Very short trips can also be done without a navigator, it just takes way longer to cover any larger distances that way.
What do you think? The context is her somehow knowing so much about cumrag. The options to kill her are from her telling you to kill her after her torture
>Rogue Trader gets lost in the Warp due to woman moment and killing her compass
I'd rather get lost in the warp than let some harlot touch my man
based, I knew Cassia cucks enjoy getting cheated on. Yrliet chads won again.
>Killing your navigator because you think Heinrix likes her too much
Am i unable to finish Yrliet's act 2 quest if I let Chorda's ships destroy the Elder one?
Not sure, Yrliet needs to tell you that she feels you tried. If you pass the coerce check with the humans but fail the persuade with the eldar it's ok with her.
Well I just let Chorda's ships do their thing and I don't want to repeat everything I've done since so I'll just continue. I'll probably end up killing Yrliet later on anyway.
well she won't tell you where her cache is if you actually try to save her buddies
Idk if it had more to it but I did the same and Yriliet acknowledged that she felt like I really did put in an effort
>do nothing
>character tells you that she felt you put in effort
so this is the power fantasy everyone talks about
I guess I had done plenty in the prior parts I should add. I wasn’t thinking tbh during that final part, kinda had forgotten
no matter what that ship explodes
why is Yrliet such a chuuni fricking moron?
She's an Eldar. One who's so cringe even her own race is embarrassed by her.
This game really needs a way to pre-buff
Everyone b***hes about Pathfinder games but at least you can avoid having characters die in the first round of combat before you can even fricking move. When your tank dies without you even having a chance to move him, something's wrong with the game.
Bro?
Your Seize the Initiative?
Your Grand Strategist?
Yeah because having one guy move first is really gonna do shit against shit like Uralon.
Besides I'm in act I
really can do a lot, especially as you get certain buffs and they scale.
It really doesn't help as much as you think unless you're stacking officers.
Also again, act I.
Nta but the main thing with those fights where you lose people on turn 1 is to place them somewhere you can't get multiple people flanked at once. Just spreading them around and behind cover helps.
Is the daemon weapon I'm supposed to be putting together an actual weapon or just a plot device? If it is a weapon, is it any good?
It's the best Force Weapon in the game.
Not a high bar when there's 3 fricking force weapons total.
More like the only force weapon in the game
There's only two other force swords.
Doesn't it need heretic 5 which is literally impossible to get right now?
is 5 anything even possible right now
Dogmatic 5 is possible. But it comes so late that it doesn't really matter.
With toybox anything is possible. Though with the recent patch both giving you more rep and lowering the the rank threshholds, it might be possible to hit 5 if you started a new game after it now. Maybe.
So if I wanted to use it to its best potential, I'd need to be a psyker. Makes sense and is thematically appropriate.
Is it though?
That ain't no sword of faith
does anyone know why yrliet isn't showing up in commoragh for me?
The least consistent part of Yrliet's betrayal is the implication that she's smart or observant enough to discover Achilleas getting turned after being oblivious to a Slaaneshi cult operating under her nose for however long.
I thought she just bumbled in on him when he was talking to Marzy on the space phone.
bros I hate heresy so much
Jerk off before you post, Helbrecht.
How does New Years on RT's ship look like?
Yrliet getting drunk and carrying the RT around, Jae convincing evryone to get even more drunk, Ulfar stuffing his face, Marzipan playing 5 finger felay, Drunk Abelard, Heinrix and Argenta bond over war stories and how much they dislike Yrliet, Idira and Cassia having a warp drinking game, while Pasqal looks down on the laypeople
>Yrliet getting drunk and carrying the RT around
Showing him to people and announcing him like Abelard.
Abelard couldn't hide a hint of pride.
Can Eldar get drunk?
Only if they buttchug
Is it even possible to get the better inquisitor signet rings? Using toybox there doesn't seem to be any way to avoid getting at least one -1 mercy counter. What actions even give you +1?
>Dementz Haneumann obeys me
frick me another one? how many brothers does this homie have
kino
So, depending on how well you do in the assault of Eufrates II the circumstances might change? I managed to complete every check successfully and decimated the heretics during planetary assault and now this success is reflected in-game. Very cool!
Yeah, this confused me, I kept expecting it to be a trap lol.
I failed skill check with assaulting that doom chaos guy who later you fight along space wolves but because i made peace between SW and mechanicus they charged and saved me, this still counted as overhelming successs so corrupted mechancius gave up, Really cool
This was a nice surprise and a bunch of fun. Props to whoever at Owlcat came up with it.
Why is plasma so shit? I gave pascal every one of his plasma talents and equipped him with a rifle and he's useless
Skill bot, armour shredder, andr team buffer what's the problem?
So I should be playing him as a support/debuffer? I thought all these plasma talents might allow him to do some fricking damage
Curious if you can still recruit him after that given his... personality?
I killed him in the arena immediately afterwards, so probably no.
Oh, you didn't even get the chance to ask him to switch sides? I thought you always got the dialogue option if you brought it up before.
He was really pissed at me, but the dialogue was so funny it was worth it. I can always grab him later on my heretic run.
Everybody criticises act 3, but I’ve loved being the imperious, arrogant Rogue Trader even if it means I died loads in dialogue.
I love act 3 for how you can try to act arrogant as frick and it either works or backfires horribly. The whole act is full of black humor (try bringing Yrliet and Marazhai when you free Heinrix someday - that shit is comedy gold).
>Trial of Werserian
>find who was real culprit behind the treason
>get special dialogue option on verdict thanks to this
>if I choose it nothing happens, I have to choose one that makes me look like dufus sentencing people on meer guess
And once I choose it the textbox dissapears, and ... nothing. I can talk to Drivestem again and then I get again option to choose who to blame, but without the first option which makes me accuse suerback or whatever his name was just on ''you look at me funny'' basis.
>execution everyone in the crowd had long arms like the guy from robocop lmao
I choose it as feature, since genetic purges stoped many mutants gained chance to live :v)
Did you never discuss it with Abelard? Try talking to him before this, he should tell you to try accusing everyone so he can figure out who seems guilty. Then say you'll give the verdict, bring up everyone's frickups and wait for Abelard to give you a hint, THEN pick that option.
>Try talking to him before this, he should tell you to try accusing everyone so he can figure out who seems guilty.
...when? before landing on planet? I have no unique dialogues options. and after landing on planet he is mandatory party member so I cant talk to him.
and I if return to ship quest fails
No, while you're walking around getting clues. Oh, it might be that you talk to Clementia and he jumps in there.
Anon thank you, it not exactly how you described it. But grandpa did suggested accusing everyone.
But before that I had to run down stairs, to that gaprak who was praying, see him dead, find letter on him. THEN accuse gaprak fammily, and then Abelard suggest it.
You need to not pass the dialogue checks accusing you of being a Xenophile.
literally did that a day ago and it all worked as intended 🙂 But yeah run into a massive bug during the execution everyone in the crowd had long arms like the guy from robocop lmao
anyone know how much the artists get paid to paint those images?
Average is usually $200-$300 per portrait .
>do not even try to understand the heretics machines rogue trader or you risk losing yourself
>btw we should let the machines do their thing no biggie 😉
what the frick
If this about Heinrix and him wanting to use the thing it might be related to a bug where what you tell him to do earlier with the cultists' victims has the exact opposite effect when he gets to the cogitator.
I told him to use the cultsists victims so I guess it makes sense here
Oh then they finally fixed that one. When I played it I told him to stop it and then he jumped at the chance to use the thing.
Still thinking if i should buy Rogue Trader this sale.
I will make my choice before the year ends.
Why play the game when you can shitpost on Ganker
should i buy it, should i buy something with a good discount instead, should i wait, should i resits the FOMO... so many choices....
go pirate that garbage game. im literally bugged and can't proceed after the new patch
What else did they break now?
im stuck in act 3 in the 2nd arena fight.
what the frick does it say when you get enough momentum for a heroic act? I still can't make it out
HIGHMOMENTUM
took me until act 3 or so to get it
Tell me what your go-to team is
Also in the Pathfinder games
RT, Cassia and Jae for officer buff Navigator stuff, and skill checks
Abelard for tanking
Jimmi and Argenta for damage
Amiri, Tristian, Jubilost, Kanerah (sometimes Kalikke) and Nok-Nok
Lann, Daeran, Ember, Arueshalae and Woljif
Abelard, Argenta, Cassia, Pasqal and Heinrix
Abelard
Yrliet
Idira or Cassia
Pasqal
Heinrix or Marazhai
Pathfinder WotR: Wendu Seelah Daeran Regill Woljif
I try to forget Kingmaker but I usually had Amiri and Octavia in it.
Abelard, argenta, jimi, idira,pasqal
Daeran, Regil, Lann, Woljif,Ulbrig
Ekun, Jubilost, Tristian, Kanerah, octavia
MC as officer, cassia, abechad, yrliet, pasqal, , most of the time i switched between idira and heinrix on last slot
Kingmaker: Jubilost, goat twins, Ekun, Amiri, Harrim
Wrath: Daeran, Regill, Arushalae, Nenio, Lann
Rogue Trader: Yrliet, Argenta, Abelard, Cassia, Heinrix
>Rogue Trader: Yrliet, Argenta, Abelard, Cassia, Heinrix
Strange, I dont remember making this post.
WOTR:Arueshalae,Lann,Amber,Regill, Autism Fox
Rogue Trader:Cassia,Heinrix,Yrilet,Argenta and Pasqal
Kangmaker:Valerie,Ekundayo,Amiri,Tristian and Octavia
Where on Kiava Gamma is Theodora's cache? I don't want to miss it but I found a place I was certain was the cache but didn't find anything to interact with
one of the cogitators
It's one of the cogitators. It's not on the way to the final boss. You probably have to open up the room using a valve
Have they fixed many of the bugs yet?
Sure.
Just a few thousand left
Latest patch claims they did (they also added other bugs)
Yes, and for every bug they fix, they add two more
Have fun
I think the game is perfectly playable right now.
They added new bugs like making you unable to get past the 2nd arena fight.
Half my companions don't have any alignment, is this a known bug? Any workaround?
both known bugs apparently, as usual every new patch replaces bugs with different bugs, thanks owlcat
has anyone gotten past that arena fight since the patch? maybe there's some party combo that doesn't bug out?
nah i tried everything, just gonna download a torrented version of the old version of the game and try and run it
soo.. which planet gets a new landing zone in chapter 4? this is my second run and only now i realized that the empty planets you've explored before might be landable by now.
Good for you, i finished game before i learned you could explore shit you discovered before. For my defence i had so many bugs since chapter 4 i focused only on finishing game.
I wanted to write good luck to you finding that shit.. What no coffee does to mf
This is my main problem with the game for now, the game doesn't tell you so you waste time checking systems which may or may not have content. It's terrible.
Same, I gave up on even touching Act IV until they improve the starmap ui.
Abelard have the Voxmaster play the Balanciaga meme music and assemble everyone on the main deck, and also make it known that tonight it shall be referred to as the catwalk.
>Get Heinrix
>Immediately have to level him up 7 times
I'M SO FRICKING SICK OF LEVELING UP AND LOOKING AT TALENT OPTIONS FRICK
>want to respec someone at level 30
>have to through their fricking talents from level 3 or 4, remembering what I had before just to change one thing
you don't know pain anon
Nta and this is exactly why I went the entire game with substandard builds because FRICK doing that all over again.
That's why I favorited certain talent as I leveled up.
Makes respect much easier, just pick all the stars first
frick, I completely forgot that was a thing, need to do this next playthrough
Yeah, one thing I shouldn't have been thinking heading into the game's last fight was "frick you, why are there still level ups to deal with?". There are just too many and it starts feeling like busywork.
Because it is busywork. It's a psychological trick to make the game feel longer than it really is. It's like taking a girl on a date, you take her to three different avenues to make the date "feel" longer.
Sorry, you've been israeliteed.
how the hell do merchants work in this game, am I correct in thinking that you should just always clear out their entire stock?
Yes, PF is supposed to be like a threshold not like a currency. Which then makes no sense when helping a random dude costs you 2 PF but whatever.
>buying out a street carnival’s stock of twelve mutants costs as much as securing an interplanetary arms deal
Yeah, I like the system in theory but the particulars are really goofy
>chaos marine tries to kick abelard 3 times in a row
>fails and runs into the corner
why am I laughing so hard
MONARCHIA WILL BE AVENGED!
>10,000 years
>still seething
are CSMs just angry manchildren?
All marines are.
Primarchs too.
Not Roboute, Lion or Dorn.
The only high-functioning adult human beings among the loyalist primarchs were Jaghatai and maybe Girlyman.
They take boys who are 9-16 and turn them into eight foot tall killing machines, are you surprised that they're immature?
Beautiful.
>reach ice planet
>4 chaos marines and a chaos dreadnaught
frick
i killed them all with my sanctic psyker one by one. in act 2. you can deal thousands of damage
The idea of a Warhammer 40k RPG sounds great to me but I’ve heard Pathfinder is hell to play if you’re not well versed in these types of games. Is this one fine for someone new to these more “classic” styled RPGs?
frick off zoomie
It's way easier to understand
no matter how much I try to stack shit I cant make assassin or melee in general be remotely as effective as argenta rapid fire heavy bolting 3 times on her own turn
Bad talents, not stacking lethality, not hitting openings etc.
i have 160 lethality
i am attacking openings
it does 100 dmg ok
but then with action economy at best I can hit another enemy with second weapon
that's it
meanwhile argenta burst
then run and gun
then single shoots
then wild fire
then bursts again
have you tried being a psyker?
Yrliet Sniper with Killing Edge can kill all the space marines before they reach melee, can kill the daemon engine too.
NTA, but what merchants did you focus on for rep? Trying to figure out who to prioritize with which archetype.
I was trying to max to different ones, mainly church and third one because the used partially different materials for leveling. But until recent patches the rep curve was highly broken/bugged which resulted in me being only lvl 16 in tow factions by the start of act five so i didn't get to have top shelf gear for testing.
>a fricking defiler appears
>meele does nothing
>psykers peril themselfs
>ulfar "go for the throat " makes him run to the other point of the map
>Argenta dumps an entire heavy bolter clip round one and soloes it
I love this nun like you could not believe
I've been building her like a sniper but I'm still in act 1 so she gets to chain a lot of OHKOs on rabble. Maybe I should try her as a bolter user once I get Yrliet. Feels like I wouldn't necessarily wanna take both of them in my party though.
You can chain multiple kills with rapid fire and heavy weapons
Who is he talking about here? Kunrad?
Probably Hendrix.
>Seize the Initiative is STILL fricking bugged
As in not working on reload if you save at prep or with grand strategist?
Or both
works for me
As in not letting you activate Bring it Down with all Officers that have Seize besides the one that acts first, while also letting them activate non Officers abilities in the Seize turn.
Oh yeah, that I can't do. I assumed it was intentional.
If that was the case they wouldn't let you magically use non Officer abilities which for Cassia for example is even stronger
Yrliet announce me!
the dumb fricking mon-keigh has arrived
Yrliet, do it again without the typos! Also Yrliet, stop phoneposting!
The story is awful, Kangmaker and Wrath were much better.
NOTHING feels connected at all in Rogue Trader and the villains are all literallywhos with barely any screen presence.
>Cult of Dawn is dead by Act 4 when you fight what feels like the actual final boss
>Nothing in notDrow city matters, including the sun stealing shit from Act 1, nothing the notDrow elves do matters, and what you think was connected to the story actually just happened by coincidence
>Uralon & Kunrad appear what feels like TWICE in the whole game, the second as a boss battle
>game does FFIX Necron tier nonsense with the actual final boss who is asspulled out of nowhere in the last seconds
Post build pls
Why all the abelard present us option dissappear after chapter 1?
There was one in Act 2 with the gang on Footfall where i had him inform said hooligans they were about to get a spanking.
>Abelard, let these very bad boys know they're about to get... spanked
Thats the last one. Someone at catowl assumed people would stop using the best tank in the game
The developers obviously dont understand that it is imperative that i am announced wherever i go.
>Screencapping Froggy's post
holy based, who is this man and how do I subscribe to his newsletter?
>Strings of the Puppeteer quest failed
Please tell me this won't break the game in half.
"Abelarde, I will soon have a very important meeting and I hope it remains private, even for the rest of my crew."
>"As you will, lord Rogue Trader."
"There are some preparations I will need for it, seneschal. Tell the Vox Master I need to discuss something with the High Factotum."
>"I'm on my way, my lord."
>30 seconds pass
>"My lord Rogue Trader, what may I be useful for you?"
"Danrock, I am planning a private meeting in the ship and I require you to bring me the objects I need."
>"Of course, my lord Rogue Trader. What shall I supply you with?"
"I require 30 or more candles, 2 scented candles, an antique radio, an standard tool set, 2 body-length towels , a complete catalog of top quality alcoholic beverages and 40 black roses, if there aren't any available any other black flower will do fine even if their petals are dyed."
>"I am pleased to inform you that we have almost everything on the ship. The only items I will need to purchase are the scented candles and the black roses. Do not worry, lord Rogue Trader. I will bring them to you shortly."
"Excellent! Thank you High Factorium. You may leave."
>Abelarde approaches you immediately after Danrok left the deck.
>"Excuse my interruption, lord Rogue Trader. I beg your pardon for bothering with questions but my curiosity has overcome me."
>"Could you inform me what is the event that will take place?"
>Abelarde's charisma's skill failed.
"It is not an official matter for the ship, so I won't need your help, my seneschal. You may continue with our duties."
>reloading
>"Could you inform me what is the event that will take place?"
>Abelarde's charisma's skill succeeded.
If there was heressy in them, sister Argenta would've detected it, and rest assured that I have not let my guard down since then."
>"I ask you to reconsider whatever your final decision after the meeting may be."
"Abelarde, you have gotten everything wrong. I will not get dispose of the Vox Master. There is a Void in her, deep inside that voidborn body of hers is something missing. She lacks something and it my plan and duty to fill that Void, if you can understand the ulterior motive I mentioned. (if you know what I mean)
>You wiggle your eyebrows at him to further prove your point.
I will be busy, so I bestow upon you my duties in the meantime."
>"Everything will go as planned, lord Rogue Trader. I offer you my entire support in that matter." (Go get her, tiger!)
I HATE THE FISH I HATE THE FISH I HATE THE FISH I HATE THE FISH I HATE THE FISH I HATE THE FISH I HATE THE FISH I HATE THE FISH I HATE THE FISH I HATE THE FISH I HATE THE FISH
t. femRT
for the last time she is not interested in Heinrix you dumb fricking prostitute
>lvl 30 or whatever
>Ulfar has 3 resolve
>fish has 7
what did they actually mean by this?
Officers have more resolve
She still has 5 resolve after I remove all class levels from her.
Base willpower affects it too, IIRC
What the frick is her problem
She's just being tsun-tsun
Flat tsun-tsun girls are for rape correction.
>be me, Seneschal Abelard Werserian
>we've recently gained a new Lord Captain after the tragic death of Lady Theodora
>he's not doing too badly for someone who didn't even know anything about the dynasty until a few Terran weeks ago.
>well, there is one thing
>the xenos
>he adores the xenos
>every fricking chance he gets, he turns to the knife-ear and asks her what she thinks, as if her opinion is relevant
>it's never ending, just the other day I visited him in his study to give him to inform him about the status of his latest edicts on Janus
>his eyes were closed and he was completely still
>I thought he was sleeping, but no, it was "meditation he learnt from Yrliet"
>God Emperor save me
Is anyone nice to Yrliet? Even Irida shits on her
Heinrix, of course
Jae also talks about Yrliet like shes an animal, who has bit your hand on too many times.
Can't believe I agree with her for once
bold words for a b***h that made me deal with Imperial bureaucracy
Her solution involved publicly humiliating Yrliet.
>Cassia seems to think RT with Yrliet is cute.
Do you have the exact quote?
Nope, it was stuff about the color when they're together and how close they are.
>Cassia into the forbidden romance
Please god I NEED proof
most of the dialogue I have seen towards her tends to give off a feeling of "I tolerate your prescience because I have to", and I've seen one bit of companion banter where people wonder what the frick I'm doing actually being nice to a Xeno. It's funny because I started her romance by accident when the game only gave me two options of "Not every human is a piece of shit" and "We will never under stand each other". Apparently just not being a dick to everyone is extremely rare.
Most of the romance starting dialogue options are just you being friendly
Would Abelard be a bro and try to set you up with his granddaughter/Great-granddaughter?
Not for political purposes or anything, but just to be a wingman.
>great granddaughter
She's taken
oh no
little homie can't compete with a Rogue Trader
sorry little noble boy, she was built for von Valanciuses
Really because the Epilogues imply she was built for Drukhari.
House Gaprak is lucky their bullshit only cost them a wife and a son. They now better than to force the subject, lest it lead to Vicent Cuckrak's unfortunate and quite permanent reassignment to the prison planet.
By a guy who's interested in xenos, no less.
Frick Timmy gon do?
No one's taken till the Lord Captain takes her.
More like a desperate attempt to get him off his xenos obsession.
"Lord Captain, you can still fail to hold hands with the Xeno. But you need to ensure the bloodline!"
Abelard, announce Yrliet's pregnancy
>mfw the Lord Captain announces an alliance between himself and the Eldar on Janus right in full view of a member of the Ordo Xenos
I love making Abelard's blood pressure go out of control
To be fair Heinrix even agrees the Eldar are probably a better option than the corrupted governor.
He is part of Ordo Xenos, he knows when to work with them and when to aggressively disregard their existence.
guys, should I invite Yrliet to my Sanguinala party?
Does overcharge protocol on Pasqal work now?
should I buy Rogue Trader now or would it be a mistake like how I bought Darktide at launch?
>act 3
>no idea who the frick any of these drow places and people and clans are
>no idea what the frick is going on
I feel like I skipped a chapter
Pretty annoyed you cant bring the small militia you make in Cumrag with you, when you escape.
I promised them a way out, and i wanted to atleast get the option to try.
Supposedly it's bugged and you CAN get some of them out by talking to Nocturne but this never happened for me.
There are lines for the Nocturne dialogue in the files, but it seems they cut it.
Same for Achilleas btw, maybe this is why Jimmy is so autistic about him after Act 3.
>have NPC allies in the fight
>They shoot me more than they do the enemy
God damn frick the friendly fire
I think an anon said that the allies were programmed as enemies that cant actively target you, so they tend to prefer attacks that just put you in the line of fire. Theres also vulnerabilities to non damaging effects that "should" only target enemies.
>Three days have passed since the vox-system broadcasted anything other than subdued moans and wet slapping noises
for fricks sake Jae, did you record us again?
Killed Jae today. Fricking heretic.
I thought I would get a chance to send Marazhai to the inquisition after leaving cumrag, where is it?
Just talk with Heinrix on your bridge.
Yeah I already did it, but I was expecting something more dramatic, with both him and Yrliet
Instead Heinrix just takes them both away with no dialogue at all, boring as frick, I wanted a ape out like sacrificing Camellia
Having trouble deciding between Hereticus and Iconoclast for my next run. Which one is more fun/has more content?
Welcome to Owlcat's evil paths
I felt like Lich snuck by until you jump the shark with the giant temple of doom.
Especially since your primary patron is Tzeentch. Schemes and subtle ways are his whole deal.
Wasn't there an Emperor's Children battle brother who got possessed by Slaanesh right in front of Vect or am I misremembering? Vect's freak out was funny, though.
I just like the idea of the dark eldar feeling increasingly uncomftable at how well you adapt to being trapped in Cumrag.
Both do but Iconoclast is less bugged and doesn't make you wonder why your companions don't murder you.
lmao
Remind me, who was Vesti again?
The guy who loves pranks that comes up in one of the book missions
I hope he enjoys his new wife.
to be fair life on this shithole planet fricking an inbred queen is probably better than whatever life my "volunteers" from the lower decks had before
Goes from fricking with a noble. To fricking a noble.
>noble
It's a Somalia-tier colony of primitives. The Queens throne room is literally a shack.
Probably better than some of the lower levels though.
>get off the floating death trap that is a voidship in w40k universe
>get to frick the queen and chill all day
>no IoM bullshit
>no xeno bullshit
>no Chaos bullshit
Seems comfy.
Does he show up in anything else than the dead vessel explore?
Don't think so.
fish says this but has no problems getting railed by Hive Scum Crime Lords
Being a rogue trader means you're a noble, no matter your background
bitch, Yrliet's humiliation is for my eyes alone
Yrlietgays are weird
As it should be.
Can I progress colony projects just by moving from system to system?
Yup. Also a lot of them are instantaneous so make sure to check first.
>Argenta humming
LET ME MARRY HER
Holy shit an actual carouse check
Joke's on you, it's not possible to pass no matter how much you pump up your stat with legitimate means.
>no success where you sneeze the worm out on the floor and the deldar just stare at it dumbfounded
soulless game
How the frick am I supposed to survive 10 rounds against respawning drukhari ships? Am I supposed to this in a later act?
>Praise the emperor am I right my fellow humans!
Saul Goodbrother, member of the Adeptus Leges
Frieren looks good in an imperial uniform
Can I get to the system that Yrliet's cache is in in act 2? I've been everywhere as far as I can tell and I can't see a path there
Yes, you have to go there in act 2 anyway. You might have to use navigator points though
So is there a way to check which planets I should visit again in act 4? Or at least a guide?
Does Solid Projectile Weapon Expertise cover weapons that already have their own Expertise talent, like Bolters?
What happens if I ignore this Janus event? the space battle is impossible and my only other option loses me -3 in everything
the "Devastation" 7 drucc cruiser one?
quicksave in the same system
reload save
event gone
or just 'kill all enemies' in toybox, I'm reasonably sure it is not beatable with Act 2 equipment on Daring or above
Nah it's the rykad minoris one. And I tried quicksaving and reloading and it didn't do anything. Guess I'm taking the -3.
are there skaven in this game?
Nope.
Yes, the Imperium
Imperium of man = The Empire and Bretonnia
Eldar = High elves
Dark Eldar = Dark Elves
Necrons = Vampires/Tomb Kings
Orks = Grenskins
Old ones/Slann = Lizardmen
Chaos = Chaos
>Yrliet loses her spirit stone
>her fellow Eldar just fricking leave her to Slaanesh
wow this race is scum
I’ll kill Slaanesh.
>kill
That's kind of hot.
Again, and again.
The Eldar Death god is already going to do that. You just need to stay alive together with Yrliet until that happens. And wouldnt you know, a biomancer Psyker can stay alive indefinitely.
Too bad your headcanon is directly contradicted by her best ending
I’ll just come back
The ending slides are more of a sugestion, since Owlcat has already said that they dont take that many variables into consideration.
>since Owlcat has already said that they dont take that many variables into consideration
What they said was nothing more than a lazy excuse for not wanting to fix Arue's ending, in the same game where you can get a very specific ending by failing two companion questlines and succeeding in another (Wenduag Ember and Greybor)
Not wanting to take variables into consideration my ass
There was a guardsman who died and came back to life like 13 times out of pure faith and devotion to Big E. You just need to come back once.
Without a stone she's basically a big fat beacon to every demon.
>that jae administration sidequest
Peak grimderp comedy need more of that shit
>why do I need to go to a planet 4 systems away just to get a stamp on a piece of paper that you should be able to do right here
>i dunno God-Emperor says so
>oh ok
>tfw I already had the seal before even going to the planet
Look at this fool, not understanding the necessity of using the correct stamp.
Hes ngmi
Don't forget to do nothing but wait patiently, the outcome is definitely worth it. (And you even get a cheevo for it.)
Damn I just let jae scumbag her way to the front of the line
Why are act 4 projects automatically completing themselves the instant I click execute? Is this a bug? Or did I accidentally cheat with toybox without realizing it?
Doesn't efficiency increase project build rate?
Maybe you got more efficient than the game expected you to?
Is 10 a lot?
its the max
Yeah it was just in foulstone, I just tried with another planet that didn't have 10 efficiency and it wasn't instantaneous
If efficiency reduces build time by (efficiency) turns then it's plausible that you get the initial build time reduced to zero.
I can't be fricked to decompile the game to look for an answer.
My Cassia just killed the defiler by herself, damn does she deal a ton of damage if she gets going. Saved the day for me. Didn't even have to destroy any pylons.
My wife is so strong
your wife pleases old rogue traders for money
She pleases me (I'm young) and she does it for no monetary compensation
The Psyker origin implies you're pretty young
>The least mutated navigator in the game
I don't see how that figurine looks mutated beyond the red eyes and pale skin
Right. Just a perfectly lovely woman.
Anon, that's is just a silly bug.
Sounds like something someone with a Habsburg chin would say
I hope in the sequel there are some environments that don't look exactly the same. Oh and maybe fighting non-human enemies might be fun too. Just my two cents to Owlcat.
how do I get the Eldar to put out
Just keep talking to him, dude is a fricking manbawd fricking him is easy
>can't redeem Vistenza Gyatt with your dick
it's not fair...
I could have fixed her...
I wish this game was 2d with pretty art instead of a mobile looking shit game.
Welcome to crpgs. It is a constant suffering.
happy new year you xenos loving Black folk
What build for Heinrix?
Is there a point in going Arch Mili?
Isn't he just meant to attack melee wise and cast spells, what is he even getting Versa. from
It's good to know I can take a break from my hunt for Slaanesh cultists and Eldar to go splash around on the beach with Cassia.
It's funny how much xp you get just from scanning every planet in each system
Does anyone have those Disco Elysium portraits? i forgot to save them barring the Comissar one
SEX. SEX WITH THE VOX MASTER.
you're the rogue trader she can't exactly say no
What is she going to do? Broadcast the sex to the entire ship?
>Jae romancing RT, Yrliet's pow
i am new at this game
jae threw a smoke bomb and disappeared cuz i sold her out in her first mission
will she come back later so i can fricking murder her or should i reload my save and pretend to be on her side and THEN execute her
anyone having trouble selecting individual cargo to sell for rep? all I can do is select everything which obviously I don't want to trade
yes me too
I have no idea what I'm doing, but Cassia is running around with nearly 200 wounds and shooting eye beams for 80-200 damage. What the frick.
She has one ability that lets her gain WP every time someone gets an extra turn, and another one that lets her use her WP as wounds instead of toughness
see
I was explaining to that anon gameplay mechanics, I don't care about your seethe over a fictional character
The world must know.
btw I don't hate her for some plot reason, I hate how many special snowflake unique features she has and how overpowered she is mechanically
I'm increasingly relying on her to blast distant foes when Argenta doesn't have the angle yet. Shit is ridiculous.
I'm so fricking petty
>play CRPG
>run into city
>steal every item and sell it for gold
>run into castle
>steal every item and sell it for gold
>unlock super secret compartment in the throne room, containing the priceless set of royal regalia
>steal it right in front the king and he doesn't even react
BATTLE BROTHER, THIS VIDYA YOU DISCOVERED MUST IN TRUTH BE A LOST RELIC OF OUR CHAPTER
You're a Rogue Trader, you outrank any king, noble or planetary governor that exists.
They don't stop you because they know their place.
Frick Chaos
CHAOS
>Rogue Trader, would you mind telling me why you keep ordering the Vox Master to blast Limp Bizkit to every deck on the ship?
No.
>*Walks away, while ordering the Vox Master to blast limp bizkit again*
>It's just one of those days Abelard
He did it all for the Nurgie
Jack Garland build?
Frick chaos, all my subordinates hate chaos
>Build for a guy who plays all classes and uses a billion weapons
Hurr durr
Just get whatever and style on chaos
>game gives me the option to fight incendia
>decide to kill both her and vladaym
>pick the (Lie) option when incendia asks if I'm gonna bring vladaym to her
>go kill vladaym first
>game forces me to side with incendia after
>can't even interact with her anymore, no dialogue whatsoever
awesome
Ah, the KOTOR 2 classic
You can kill them both by first bringing incendia to the ambush
Been stuck on this b***h now for a few hours how the frick do I beat this without redoing the whole fricking chapter without resorting to THAT
Finally beat her, glory to argenta, carried me once again.
sex with Indendia
>what was that? Blood for the rogue trader throne?
We ran out WD40. Do you even realise how loud it squeaks every time someone approaches and it automatically turn 180 degrees?
>Jae's act 2 quest wants me to find a seal on Janus and Dargona
>already found a seal in a side quest before even coming here
>apparently I can just progress the quest without needing the other two seals
okay then
>come across ~400hp chaos marine in ad mech factory
>argenta kills him in one heavy bolter burst
>the Space Wolf companion is a fricking Space Yiff
why couldn't it have been a Dark Angel or a Blood Raven
>Blood Raven
hey, where's my Warrant?
>"Hello Lord Commander, we thank you for kindly gifting the Blood Raven chapter your sacred warrant of trade, and all relics you currently have on board, I will now be taking my leave"
>"Wait what?"
They steal Pasqal on the way out.
>Ah Nomos? It was a gift from the Von Valencius Dynasty for my heroic efforts in freeing them form Comorragh!
They wanted their most marketable Astartes, but were afraid people would mock them if they included the Smurfs.
GW's gotta shill the Wolves to secondaries before they bring back Russ
I'd have liked a Minotaur or Marine Malevolent, just for the novelty.
are there any negative effects for just ignoring colony events?
nope you can ignore them Sometimes they give bonuses. Sometimes they hurt you.
Where the frick can I find a plasma gun?
All I can find is that one the Mechanicus will sell you for an arm and a leg once you hit 6 reputation with them.
I want to equip Pasqal with one since he gets a bunch of bonuses to using them.
First one I got was from a dead nevigator on a sidequest in act 2, but you can loot a very good one on Kiava Gamma
Theres at least two in act 1. I had one sometime and then got another from the body right before the shuttle fight
I'm pretty sure you can find one in act 1, on the bridge JUST before the Chaos Space Marine fight in a hidden chest underneath a turret.
There's one at the very end of chapter 1, right before Aurora boss fight.
>Be dogmatic
>Use the dogmatic option to make the electropriests give me reinforcements for the reactor boss fight
>They run around healing the guys I need to kill to prevent the nuke timer because their AI is moronic, thus making it impossible to win
Thanks Owlcat.
I realized that just before the fight, so it became a race of who could get to the priests first. I had very little trouble, but I'm also a pathetic b***h boy playing on Daring.
Yeah I'm on unfair and it's fricking infuriating. I'd go back and murder every single one of those homosexual electropriests if I could.
Didn't know they did that because I am very good at killing the electropriests on unfair.
They’re always disguised as one of the other ones. All according to keikaku.
Since he rewards ambition and schemes, so the more Tzeentch followers you bring into your cult, the bigger the chance that you get dicked over.
its the israelites
I think this guy has it right
A Tzeetnchian cult would be like the rule of two in Star Wars, only a couple of homosexuals know what's going on and pinning people together.
Me, I'm more of a Genestealer homosexual. I love the Cthulhu cult feel of people encountering forbidden knowledge so eye-opening and mind-shattering that the cult either turns mad or starts falling in love with their creators building a family/mixing genes with the beloved creators
>tfw Argenta contracts the genestealer virus
>the only way she can be romanced is to let this happen
You do fight some genestealers in a random encounter. But not really a horror encounter.
imagine if human preachers started shouting on corners of that spire
A well intentioned reformist movement with a beloved politician figurehead caring for the people and giving them hope for a better life.
So, the icon RT.
There's a reason why Iconoclast and Hereticus are both on the "Fantatic" side rather than Icono being purity.
>entire team tactics revolves around argenta
This canot be right
For me it's Abelard and my Officer MC.
>"Abelard introduce my power sword to their faces"
Same except Idira as well, she slams with sanctified staff
Is it really that good? I've got a Sanctic RT that needs a ranged option.
With resolve stacking it can one shot groups and bosses, not sure how MC will compare, you could go that dogmatic psy rating helm which idira can't equip.
I'm still mad at how much of a fricking mess Chapter 3 is, narratively, structurally, and technically.
While cool
The idea of humans escaping the dark city woulda bring the attetion of everyone. Specially the ordo xenos
I'd imagine creating a legitimate access point for Chaos in Comorragh would also get the interest of some less reputable individuals.
>Play psyker
>Can't read people's minds
>Cassia gives you her color feeling super powers
>Can't read people's colors
Why is Owlcat so lazy?
Hey you're all wonderful people even the Jaegays
Happy new years!
Happy New Year, Lord Captain.
Is it fun? I have this on cart right now and I have never played an owlcat game before.
Its currently still so broken that the game is more fun to talk about, rather than playing it. But if you really want to then you can play through a mostly functioning act 1-2
>have to make a decision about which house will represent me when I barely know anything about any of them
If you don't default to hourse Werserian you're doing it wrong
Why? Abelard being a bro doesn't mean his house can handle this shit any better than the current one. homie is already using his position to put all his kids in high places.
Stick to traditions
>Kill Yrliet after act 3
>Or keep her around to try and get a bad ending for her
Which one bros?
you could try to get a happy ending for her.
She doesn't deserve that.
I wasn't going to, either kill her in her trial or keep her around to ruin her life.
Just don't send her with the inquisition, it's fricking boring
actually I just thought of something
>Theodora is an obvious heretic
>she insisted the Driverstems be in charge
I think I'm gonna change things
Why the frick can't I hid my full set of armour and only the helmet? I want to see my characters sweet navy officer uniform.
I kinda want to start over my Officer Commisar run just to do Rykard first so I can recruit Jimmy and see his dialogue for the Abelard ship quest and on the prison planet.
>Say to Cassia I'm not cutting people's tongues out and it's a leaders job to also protect his people
>"That's borderline heresy!"
She's just being tsun, next time you talk to Uve he has a new vox implant so he can talk again
Being Iconoclast is great for being a normal nice person around all these fanatical psychos
She's not wrong, you're talking like an insane cultist.
You're talking like a normal person, which means insane in 40k.
That's what I said?
yeah, she's legit moronic. every time she chimes in during planetary projects that's one suggestion you can usually ignore without reading
So I'm guessing the governor is a heretic and him trying to protect house garpak means they're comprised as well
Im pretty sure that he is just somewhat incompetent. And he is scared of causing big changes.
Bros I'm stuck on act 3 in the second arena fight. Game bugged. Halp pls.
I keep reading this, thank god I avoided it
im probably the same dude whining about it
Don’t trust the Eldar, even when they’re helping they’re actively trying to frick you.
T-Trying to frick me?
Abelard, protect my anal virginity
Yes
They are Eldar. They will probably frick fricking you up, and instead somehow cause a planet or two to be lost in the warp. Only to insult you for being an arrogant mon-keigh, act as if thet planned the whole thing from the start and then piss off.
The only good Eldar content is when Necrons show up and laugh at them for being a bunch of ignorant bone worshipping savages. Still laugh at Starbane divining a bunch of shit to save Carnac from Necrons only for Orikan to just undo all the divinations by travelling back in time and dumping tons of necrons on enemy positions.
Also how Orikan and Trazyn frick over an entire Eldar planet, in their cosmic Dick measuring contest.
>Don’t trust the Eldar,
It's not like you much of a choice, since Yrilet's moronic kin will just call for aid from Alaitoc
>Alaitoc arrives just to get eaten by a C'tan Shard
lmao
Funny thing is, you're still arguably more moral than a heretic.
I will still love this cute fish even after she turns into a hideous monstrous abomination
Disgusting mutant fricker, she should be shot.
... with a torrent of my cum, right inside her womb
Why can't you just get another navigator so she doesn't have to guide the ship and get more mutated?
You do potentially get another navigator, but he is already mutating.
Do navigators mutate every time you travel through the warp, regardless if they're navigating or not?
Assassin feels whack and Pasqal feels like he's barely keeping up in damage, should I respec him into a Bounty Hunter?
>Vect didn't show up in Commorragh
did I miss him or were those dataminers in the alpha threads lying
He was namedropped a few times, but i dont think he ever shows up.
No, things just get cut. GW obviously didn't want someone as important as him in the game
How do Jaegays exist? Maybe I missed something but she doesn't seem to have a single redeeming quality, she's not even hot like that other brown bawd from Dragon Age 2 to justify fricking her.
they dont and I dont camcam meming.
I don't think they exist for real, her only redeeming quality is she's the only female romance with a good ending
what is so bad about her?
Just kinda bland honestly. Not offensively bland, but way too nothing to be one of the few possible straight romances.
holy shit are Cassiagays still seething that Jae gets a good ending?
Nobody, not even normalgays likes her, she's the perfect combination of boring and annoying, being a prostitute certainly doesn't help. Most people that praise her here just do it to stir shit up, like this gay
so boring she lives rent free in your head
We're talking about Jae's popularity here, not the Cassiagays that live in your head
If you think popularity equals quality then shouldn't you be shitting up the bg3 thread instead
>If you think popularity equals quality
Well I don't, so that's good I guess
I know you don't. You just want to seethe at her for getting a better ending and her being less popular is the only thing you've got.
>You just want to seethe at her for getting a better ending
Not really, in fact I like Cassia's ending if I'm not a fan of how she only has a single good one, but if you want to yourself that then go ahead
Be nice to your officers
i like that guy. he hates everyone equally, just like me
Is there anything for forge worlds?
I don't really get the hate for Jae. Yrliet is barely a romance and Cassia is an ugly mutant. She isn't really better or worse than the other two options.
>doing Eufrates II
>clear a fight and randomly a text box appears at the top that say "the ship must have one third.-----" and disappears before I can finish the rest
Jae gives me free stuff and it's outright stated that the moment you start romancing her she drops all other potential relationships other than her completely relatable unrequited lust for Argenta.
shhhh anon you're supposed to post out of context endings and pretend you're getting cucked
>ENDING ENDING ENDING MUH ENDINGS
God I will forever despise Owlcat for cucking Valeriegays
I just wish the ending slides weren't so fricking barrebones and I'm not even talking about romance. I remember going out of my way to max all the crusade stats and all I got was one measly little slide consisting of one sentence. How are the slides so shit when the rest of the game is so needlessly verbose?
You're clearly misremembering because Kingmaker's ending slides are great. Lengthy, fully voice acted and they even focus on irrelevant shit you probably forgot about like the lizard village
