OP's pic about Cassia at the bottom was quite literally the only time Owlcat advertised romances in this game, and even then it was just an introduction of all companions, including non-romanceable ones

I don't recall much romance at all in the Last Chancers series or Gaunt's Ghosts. As I recall, if there was anything it was only briefly mentioned and not really a staple of the story or anything.

Deadly combat makes for the best experience in any warhammer system. It's why custodes are so fricking lame and kill team is so much fun. This seems like a fun system, I don't really know much about it but these crit effects

Here is a pic of what happens when your character starts going into critical wounds in Dark Heresy/Rogue Trader. These are only regarding energy damage to the head, you still have 4 other areas of the body with a myriad of other damage types so it's lots of fun.

It's based off of Rogue Trader, a d100 system developed by FFG and it's a good system. I played lots, and LOTS, of Dark Heresy, which was an iteration of the system RT uses. It's a good system. It doesn't use armor class, it uses toughness. You have armor on body parts and your character's toughness that modifies incoming damage, and those apply damage to your wounds, which if they go under their prescribed number you start taking critical wounds, which if they go to -9 or -10 become immediately fatal, and usually everything from 3-8 are nearly fatal if not immediately addressed, like losing a limb, being severely burned, or bleeding out profusely. It's a really deadly and fun system, as in DH and RT most players only get like 14 wounds on average, meaning you only have about 14 hitpoints before shit hits the fan, and the average old fashioned pistol does 1d10+2. A Bolter does like 1d10+6 with 4 penetration meaning it would ignore most of your armor and do straight health damage.
