Lamer setting, more annoying characters with (wo)manchild syndrome, lamer story, dogshit pacing and comparative illusion of choice and differences in game world. BG3 has facial animations, lip syncing and reddit marketing and that's about it.

Doesn't change the fact they wanted to write something very specific and used the eldar, without realizing that giving a soulstone most definitely means that eldar would let the human do whatever the frick they wanted.

40k lorelet here, what is a soulstone and why is it so significant for an eldar to give it to someone?

Dark Eldar just learned that senseless murder and assraping destruction are necessary for survival in 40k universe, and learned to accept the feelings caused by it instead of being pussies. And in the process they shut out warp taint, hid themselves from chaos as hard as possible, purge the universe of the weak who are easily tempted by chaos, and keep themselves free of getting devoured by Slaanesh. They're only sensible faction in the setting honestly. Imperium is second but they're too far in denial about being evil.
and unlike humies, they don't rely on Big E's lighthouse and swim around in the warp like moronic bait fish for sharks. They just open portals to go wherever the frick they want with no consequences.

So she can't go into another Eldar Craftsworld? Is she just stuck in lonely-ass limbo once she dies?

They can be used for other things like wraiths or voidships but most want to go to the infinity circuit, its the closest thing they have left to heaven

No, their planet sized ships have places where they store all the souls of the dead eldar, and that's their 'limbo'. If an eldar dies without their soulstone or it is destroyed it's an express trip to Slaanesh hell.

Exodites hide in world trees and Craft-worlders in their shipmatrix. But to get there craftworlders need to carry their soul in those stones so they aren't caught immediatly by demons when their body dies.

You're right but at that point I think you're also applying a bit too much reasoning into it.
It's a gesture of absolute trust and implications of how much the RT means to her. It's not a practical thing she did. She did it to show what you mean to her.
But again, all this to say, if she'd do that, she most definitely would let you hold hands or touch her fricking ears. That'd be nothing next to the soulstone thing.

Back when the Eldar were at the height of their power they got super bored. The thing with Eldar is they experience emotion at a level 10 times stronger than humans so when a human is having fun doing whatever, that's boredom to the point of suicide for the Eldar.
So how did the Eldar combat this? They began to master anything they could because they were immortal. They began to master many horrific arts and acts. They murder each other for pleasure simply because their souls would be recycled upon death so it wasn't a big deal. They would have lavish orgies with what I can only imagine is every fetish in existence.
There were some Eldar who said this shit is fricked and left, those being the craftworlders and exodites.
Eventually because of the mass hedonism and the level that Eldar experiences emotion it lead to the birth of Slaanesh within the warp. The birth scream was catastrophic that it unleashed a wave of psychic energy and emotion that nearly killed all the Eldar, separated the galaxy and created the eye of terror. The only survivors were those that fled into the webway, the craftworlders that were far enough away and the exodites who, like the craftworlders, were far away.
In the warp Slaanesh devoured all but 3 Eldar god's souls thus giving her access to the Eldar's souls upon death.
The way craftworlders stave off their souls from going to Slaanesh is by carrying souls stones which upon their deaths their souls enter and they join the craftworlds infinity circuit.
As for how the other Eldar survive, Dark Eldar do it by continuing the acts they already practiced only to such an even more extreme rate that it staves off Slaanesh eating their souls, exodites are protected by their planets, and harlequins have their souls protected by Cegorach, the laughing god.

Tried to kill all the Eldar to prevent a prophecy because another god told him she had a vision where they would be his death.
Isha, the mother-goddess got really sad and asked Asuryan, the Phoenix king for help. He helped by preventing the gods from ever interacting with the Eldar again. This made Isha sad anyway so she would interact with them in secret. This pissed Khaine off to Khorne levels of angry so he ratted her out to Asuryan and he told Khaine that he can do whatever he wants to her, he decided to torture her for eternity.
Anyway, shit happens, Khaine gets his shit slapped by a guy named Eldanesh. Khaine gets punished for his deeds by Asuryan who makes his hand eternally drip blood to remind him of his crimes.
Slaanesh's birth happens which ironically fulfills the prophecy of the Eldar kind of killing him.

It's a bit deeper than that and Isha was more to blame for shit hitting the fan.
To be fair, Eldars wear those stones to save their souls from being raped for eternity, but if she is still alive, she can still get another soulstone.
But if the RT had the gem on his deathbed, does that mean that she can, at some point, come claim the stone back and be with the RT in their infinity circuit? >impluing they would allow a mon-kegh in the IC
>Romance is still exclusive
Typical Eldar promises. It got to be a joke from some Owlcat alphabet-victim to make Mrs. Touch-me-not-filthy-monkeigh count as romancepath in the first place. No, I dont care about hot-gluing a soulstone every night
I don't even mind the no fricking thing, but no hugs and no hand holding is really lame >I will give you my soul but don't touch me okay
What the actual frick was owlcat thinking
>Not an Aspect Warrior >Not a Seer or Warlock >Isn't even a Guardian >Instead is a smelly teenage hobo
She's literally the lowest echelon of Eldar society.
There's no lowest rank in a craftworld. Every path has purpose, even the janitors. Rangers do what they want but still report back if they discover something important to the craftworld
There absolutely is a social hierarchy in a Craftworld, and Rangers are typically near the bottom. Their Path is specifically about not having a proper Path.
There's a command structure but every path is equal, unless you get lost in you're cycling through them anyway. Outcasts get looked down on outcasts because they don't understand them
So I'm making my way to atlas system on my mindmeld e-gf's recommendation
What gear should I prison-smuggle in my cargo butthole for a Commorragh vacation? I'm thinking needle pistol and a power sword. I hope the arena will have some throwaway companions to officer-fu.
The Necrons are the most likely out of all of them to have a Ganker. I can already imagine a thread being completely derailed because two Anons are are definitely not Trazyn and Orikan are having an autistic argument with each other.
anon they will have threads that are millennia long
and by their standards it hasnt even hit bump limit
and the topics will be about bane
a character from a movie
that has not yet reached its final act
no one has yet to point out that it is offtopic
because Ganker was that way
but the mods are still sleeing
How do I beat Aurora (forma de la word bearer)? I know he flees to the other side of the arena after 20% damage but how do you even survive a guy that can one shot while also having a sniper that also one shots
I struggled too, and tbh its mostly luck imo. Its all about hitting, enemies missing, etc.
But the baseline should be: get two melees into contact with him/her/it and start wailing on him. Cassia giving extra turns out for extra damage from your main melee(should be Abelard or the MC at that stage), and you'll manage to kick him down to 1/10 HP before he dashes towards the ships.
Cassia's skill that makes enemies move towards a point you declare(in best case also doing dmg due to synergy with another passive skill of hers) also works on him, so you can basically keep him in a spiral of melee combat, opportunity attacks and more melee combat.
>I know he flees to the other side of the arena after 20% damage
He does? He was mostly dead by that point for me. Try holding him in place with a navigator and bumrush that sniper with the unsanction psyker and scream at him.
>"Abelard, would you kindly solo the tin can?" >And then Abelard solo'd the tin can while Cassia and the Rogue Trader kept shouting at him to do it faster. The End. No, seriously. I fricked up the starter placement in the dumbest way possible and the literal first thing to happen was Pasqal and Argenta getting burst down to zero. Then Abelard just wiped out everything by himself, from the CSM all the way to the sniper at the end, while Cassia, Officer MC and Idira kept feeding him turns and stacking buffs. I've no idea what's everyone's issue with the sniper, he actually managed to hit my backline maybe once or twice, on Core. Perhaps I just got lucky with the rolls.
>Pincer him with Heinrix and abelard so he has trouble moving (dude is 2x2) >Position your other characters as far away from him as possible >Place one or two characters close to the mooks that spawn near the ships >Gain momentum by killing the mooks on the side with Argenta, Idira or your MC >Get someone on sniper killing duty >Enfeeble with Heinrix, both him and Abelard should be enduring >Use Pasqal's buffs/debuffs, then ulti to dismantle and root him in place, if you didn't pick the snare upgrade snare him with Cassia instead, if she doesn't have that use Idiria's psyker CC, If you don't have any of that... lmaoing at your life
Fight is not that hard and I play on Unfair, the biggest dick in that fight is the sniper
Reposting.
I'm pretty interested in the game, but I'll wait a few months until it's more stable. I've always wanted to get into 40k, which games should I play in the meantime to get acquainted with the setting?
man that was such a good game, had a cool priest flame attack self buffing archer build
too bad I softlocked myself by dropping the naked rotting female corpses off somewhere I couldn't remember when it turned out they were needed for the story
Just entered the penal prison with riots and have the option of sparing the prisoners who tell me about shady shit at footfalls.
I don't understand why it's Heretical to let them go, but Iconoclast to tell them to join your ship. If anything, it's the exact opposite. They witnessed warp and are on a countdown to mindfrickery, bringing them to the ship is bad idea but if you want heresy it's all good, while letting them live for information would be Iconoclast, going against the Empire in spirit but being humane, to an extent.
>wake up excited for patch >remember an anon said wait for the patch's patch >Read they actually hotfixed the patch already
So...is it safe to play again? Or was that not the patch patch
Owlcat games are never safe to play as long as they keep adding content, WotR still breaks every time they drop new dlc, and so will this game once the dlc starts to come out
0 for plasma pistols in particular for me.
However, even if it's a bug, there still seems to be a fully legitimate way to bring the cost to 0 >Soldier perk that brings it to 1 >That item for -1 cost admech sell which is explicitly stated to be able to bring it to 0
This looks pretty good. 2 pistols reloaded after every shot should give free attacks pretty often.
Owlcat streams are the opposite of Larian
Instead of cheerful morons playing 5e trash they have gloomy Russians barely speaking English and playing very complex ttrpg ie Based
Larian just pulled a massive W in sales and reviews I don't think it's unreasonable for a cRPG studio to want to emulate some of their methods.
That being said I don't see any rogue trader VA pulling the amount of horny fujos that Astarion did. I like the performances but since Owlcat can't stop themselves writing essays in the middle of dialogs you get a lot of reading and not that much listening.
yeah I guess the drukhari gay kinda fits but as you said you get him way too late, and more importantly there's no "I can fix him" part, he's a horny evil slaver orgy man the whole way through
There's no dragging, it's automatically managed. This happens to any Navigator ability that you pick on her before respeccing. If you pick it again, it won't get added.
>Be Abelard >Loyal to the Imperium and those he serves >Learns from his mistakes >Navy Officer that's a beast in glorious melee combat >Has many children and grandchildren
He is the embodiment of true masculinity and a gigachad
The very status of RT implies that all of the local nobility is ready to line up their daughters for him to knock up, since this gives them a chance to elevate their lineage in future, and moreover it is given that RT would do this, since being one is dangerous and dynasty needs some ability to absorb losses.
40k world runs on plain and simple feudaism, which is depicted realistically and not in gay chivalrious high fantasy way. Romances don't mean shit there, procreation serves purely utilitarian purpose. (You) trying to stick your dick into xenos or essential ship equipment is completely different part of life.
Farseers are spiritual leaders on Craftworlds and often assume the role of general leadership. They specifically involve themselves in using their psychic abilities trying to read the future and find prophecies or visions of potential future threats to the Craftworld, which is pretty hard when the Warp is virtually unpredictable. As such they usually only get vague or fragmented visions, or very blunt "Kill X and disaster can be avoided" or "This person must do X to stop a crisis" messages which might not include all the details.
explain whats weird to you. It was a bit weird at the start but i'm nearing the end of it and the progression makes a lot of sense now or well as much as various space elf varieties are planning against each other anyway.
dark elf clown orchestrated the whole thing so RT can get to this tower and save some important elves?
i dont know why he didnt do it himself if his power levels are way beyond everyone.
Not too deep on knife ear lore so someone else can correct me Clown is a harlequin(knife ear that follow the laughing god, enigmatic mofos, separate from aeldari/drukhari, usually working to help the knife ears as a whole). Dumbass drukhari kabal raided a dying aeldari craftworld and stole a bunch of powerful farseers without telling anyone else. Yrilet wants the farseers free because its her people. Marzipan actually recognizes how dumb the kabal is since the farseers psychic powers can screw their only gate back into realspace or worse. So all in all kabal does dumbshit that can harm everyone but 'quin is just whistle blowing. I'm running under the assumption that the 'quins can't directly interfere but they're okay with manipulating behind the scenes especially moving non-aeldari pieces like you.

Not there yet, but the Clown is a Harlequin Solitaire, something which makes almost EVERY Eldar shit themselves in panic when one shows up, and arguably one of the most dangerous single individuals one can encounter in 40k. If a Kabal knew that a Solitaire was knocking at their door they'd cause an absolutely colossal scene liable to drag in several other groups.
So I plan for my RT to be a mini Space Marine melee build with Power Sword/Gsword or Hammers. However, the problem is getting to the enemies. Either they are really far away, or Cass + Argenta cleans em up before my melee get even in range.
are there better ways to get to enemies faster as melee? I know there is a talent that gives 2 MP but eh

I never understood why other games aren't able to just copy&paste X-com 2 combat, not even the company that actually made those X-com games can do that, is it a curse or something?
I can't take Chaos seriously. Oh no, a big bad obviously evil demon is offering me stuff in exchange for my soul, of course I'll accept why the heck not. Oh no, a voice in my head is telling me to claw my eyes out, better get to it! Just like, don't do that shit bro. How is that difficult?
>kill everything in round 1 with an arch militant and two officers >best combat since JA2
Yeah, no. It's fun being a god of death raining holy wrath of the emperor on everything but it's not a good system if it's so easy to break.
The class balance is whack too, there's absolutely no point in assassin since arch militant does the same but a hundred times better, operative/bounty hunter can at least debuff bosses into uselessness.
>Abelard in act 4 asks you if he could step down as your seneschal
I feel that he deserves it after act 3 but I don't know who the frick could replace him. Argenta wouldn't take the job right?
>but I don't know who the frick could replace him.
He gets replaced by 3 generic NPC's of your choice. Depending on your pick you either raise your Dogmatic, Heretic or Iconoclast score. Or if you don't want to raise any of those you can just go without a new seneschal. No they don't have special interactions after you pick one either.
There are probably better ways to condition yourself then this honestly. I mean shit you could probably do this without the conditioning specific image. All you would have to do is get aroused at whatever you do normally and then have the feet picks up when you are about to blow your load. Slowly phase at the normal shit while looking at feet and then boom you into feet now. Probably would help if you can imagine feet specific scenarios in your mind as you do it as well for further mental conditioning.

It's not very well balanced but when it works it's extremely good.
You literally found one OP meta build that sucks all the fun out of the game.
I sincerely don't think that's the case. I've never seen a talent for that(Only shooting into melee talent i;ve seen is for heavy weapons), I can't find a talent for it on Jae's sheet and she can most definitely shoot HER pistols in melee.
I'm PRETTY sure one of the loading screen tips says you can shoot shotguns and pistols while engaged.
big area attacks take all his special mechanicus traits
lets him do extra damage for int
take expose vulnerabilities
basically turns him into an armor/dodge shredder
also give him a pistol or shotgun to use since he can dual wield innately

Exploit stacking with plasma weapon focus, give him that talent that increases his AP by +1 when he uses a plasma weapon and use officer's ult to have him go buckwild >Also, should I bring him to Kiava Gamma?
Yeah, he's good againts machine type enemies and there are some machines in there
What the frick is going on with CRPG shilling? Between BG3 and now this shit, it's getting absurd.
Every thread about these games seems to reach 400 posts with half or a quarter of that being unique posters.
In theory, when discussion happens people respond to each other. Threads are not just posting a hot take over a twitter screenshot with 400 unqiue ips. How do you think threads fill up in boards like /vrpg/, /vst/, /vr/ etc?
did you miss these companies starting themselves up from kickstarters during the mid 10s before getting big IPs like D&D and 40K? are you moronic? it's been going on for years
This is every Owlcat release. Back to back general style threads on Ganker, /vrpg/ and /vg/ are a ghost town, and angry Russians screeching when you lay out a mild criticism.
>no people complaining about shills
Yes there were
Any game being positively discussed is accused of shilling because you can't be allowed to like something unless you are getting paid for it according to these "people"
It wasn't like this prior to BG3 being release, at some point after that game dropped you weren't able to discuss anything without some homosexual going "Shill Thread"
>What the frick is going on with CRPG shilling? Between BG3 and now this shit, it's getting absurd.
Yeah totally the same
RT threads are one up at most and equal discussion between story and mechanics/gameplay
BG3 flooded the fricking catalog non stop with 30-50 reply threads about which character cucked/homo'd/bearfricked you and I never once saw a single fricking post about mchanics beyond discussing which quests lock which and how to use barrels to bipass shit.
Totally the same shit
>don't talk about this game because I say so
This is literally the obly place where the game gets discussed, get a grip. Tons of places where you can go to see something else.
>owlkek general on /vg/ is kill
OwlBlack folk invaded /crpgg/ and it was nothing but the usual /ocg/ schizos shitting it up before this game came out and people actually started talking about video games >/vrpg/
Is better than Ganker thanks to being a slow board
>OwlBlack folk invaded /crpgg/ and it was nothing but the usual /ocg/ schizos shitting it up before this game came out and people actually started talking about video games
Yes but can you one shot unfair Deskhari?
>with half or a quarter of that being unique posters.
Horrifying that some people think this is a bad thing. Really love those threads were people just drive by shitpost and leave.
I’m actually impressed they are not. Outside of the warp all the other characters have been decently written. No lazy good vs evil marvel shit.
I always play utilitarian and I’m doing some fricked up shit. It’s a well put together game in a lazy age of tropes.
Why is everyone gay? Also why does the god stand in have black kids that are depicted as being good guys, and the "Good guy high tech faction" are commies?
Forgot us, white boy? Shieeeet, we love humanity and shit, Black person.
You'd think this would be obvious to people that something was wrong.

See, the very first piece of Warhammer shit I picked up, the book takes a break from a story about a psychic demon pig to tell a gay romance story. So I thought "Wow, is this shit all gay?" and I took a cursory examination, and it indeed appears to be all gay esg shit. Their main character is a literal turbo athiest, and they call humanity monkeys.
Anon you really should try to not impotently rage at everything, especially IP's notorious for being prostituted out to anybody
You're REEEEEing about homosexuals in a setting that has numerous stories of them being fricked over (and that's a good thing in these stories even)

Hey man, "Don't put gay shit in stuff you want me to buy" isn't a big ask. If it's impossible for you to continue without the gay shit, that's a you problem.
If the game was about people in mech suits fighting aliens, and shit I'd be into it. If it's a gay romance in space, I'm not. Stop shilling rogue trader if you can't take out the gay shit.

He went from my best character with a overpowered laser sniper that could melee to my most useless at the end of chapter 2. I have to keep him around though to unlock stuff though.
It's mainly worth it for everyone else's reaction to having him in your party. Jimmi in particular seems like he's having a full breakdown if you rescue him with both xenos in the party.
What difficulty should I play this on if I know what I'm doing in CRPG's and want a challange, but not quite the assrape you'd get from playing WoTR on the highest difficulty?
I like to improvise and not savescum, outside of 2 exploratory battles Danger has been perfect. If you are good at owlcat games I’d go one higher, they normally filter my lack of autism.
play unfair its not that hard because the fish is overpowered. I only have to retry the harder fights so i cant imagine how much easier lower difficulties are
>oh this ship combat mini game seems pretty decent this time round >a few combats later >this shit fricking SUCKS
why is it always like this with owlcat and their mini games
Or if it was real time instead of turn based
The greatest crime is the fact I CAN'T RAM THE FRICKERS
WHAT KIND OF WARHAMMER 40K SHIP COMBAT IS IT IF I CAN'T RAM THEM
maneuver better, tardo

My maneuvering's irrelevant because it's entirely about how the enemy maneuvers.
And since the enemy's an AI they never make a mistake unless they happen to start in position and I go first.
>I can only ram at the start of movement
You can ram in all first 4 squares, including last ones that let you turn ship

lmao I suck so bad ad ship combat Ive made every choice I could make yet to avoid it. Everytime I'm just 1 tile off and the damage I dish out is laugable. The torpedo movement is complicated for me too.

Time to do this riches to rags arc right proper, boys
Is this game good? If I thought WoTR was pretty amazing aside from the lackluster final act do you think I would like this? I am familiar with and fond of 40k as well, if that matters.
There's not as much build variety but it's alright
Probably the best W40K game in recent history but that says more about W40K games than anything else
Is there any way to access the art from the game? Some of these pieces capture the madness of the events and the setting so perfectly. The AdMech has to be my favourite faction from WH40K, they're just so fricking crazy. Watching these morons try to use a computer, it's just as funny every single time.
>Watching these morons try to use a computer, it's just as funny every single time.
I had a solid chuckle at the reactor where the brothers were preventing the sabotage attempt by effectively DDOSing the computer via spamming "Access Request Prayers"
It's toned down for this game but generally speaking overheating one increases damage output but also makes it liable to fricking explode and vaporize whoever's carrying it.
I don't get why everyone's obsessing over romances for a game like this. It's 40k, "romance" doesn't really feel like it belongs in the game at all. And realistically, anyone trying to bang a rogue trader would either be a gold-digger or a secret traitor anyway. All the romance feels out-of-place, like it's just there because it has to be. Just soulless pandering. I stumbled into Cassia's since I was trying to be polite and it happens so quickly, first time I ever actually went over to a character and picked the "yeah I'm not actually into you" option in one of these games.
I honestly appreciate Argenta's character a lot more because she's not shoehorned into blushing and flirting with me like a schoolgirl if I pick dialogue options that agree with her.
OK but it shouldn't be like Stardew Valley where everybody wants to be your partner if you do x for him or her.
I'm totally OK with characters not wanting to marry a Rogue Trader or frick him if they have a reason. The characters would feel empty and badly written for me.
>OK but it shouldn't be like Stardew Valley where everybody wants to be your partner if you do x for him or her.
And that's exactly the case here, what are you even complaining about?
owlkuck should just let the rt by a harem of slave girls and everyone would be happy
no romance but the power and appetite of a lord without a lot of oversight shown appropriately
>It's 40k, "romance" doesn't really feel like it belongs in the game at all
Even secondaries know this is nonsense. What would that make you, a tertiary?
Yeah, love is considered to be a weakness in 40k. Rogue traders may have flings, but they'll never truly love. The ones who do will get knifed in the back or have a mutiny on their hands. Imperial culture is a lot like drow culture, actually. Friendship is awkward and behind so many layers of abstraction that you can never be certain its genuine. People are supremely paranoid and closed off.
>Imperial culture is a lot like drow culture, actually
Skaven. They're like skaven. I remember some artbooks where they listed skaven as the chief inspiration for a lot of the Imperium's motifs.
I think the romance could be fine if it was handled in a more 40k appropriate way but the fact it's just traditional pseudo-medieval romantic lovey dovey stuff feels extremely out of place.
>The witchling's eyes opened wider and she began to scream when the profane artifact touched her skin. It was the scream of a newborn being tortured to death. It was the scream of a child over dead parents. It was a scream of such horror and revulsion as to deny sanity. For one instant, the inquisitor allowed a smile to grace his scared face. He knew to the Exodite witchling that there was no greater pain than this. He crushed the feeling of ecstasy with the cold fury and disgust that had sustained him from his first agonizing memories of childhood all the way through thousands of campaigns and thankless conflict. Servants of the Emperor should have no love save to the Emperor, no happiness save to the Emperor, and no loyalty save to the Emperor. All else was either meaningless or to be scorned.
>The xeno youngling didn’t stop to breathe as she screamed, blood pouring from her eyes and nose, and she did not stop screaming for a very long time. First her eyes popped, and then her head finally exploded like a seismic grenade. Partially crystallized brain matter and neural fluid erupting in a fountain of gore. A blastwave of released psychic energy fading to nothing as it struck against the inquisitor's null aura, covering the inquisitor’s face with the remains of her. The witch's body sagged in the restraints. The inquisitor breathed out a shuddering sigh as he plucked an eyeball from his cheek, and gently brushed the xeno's lower jaw, only held on by strands of flesh and muscle, with his non-mechanical hand. So sweet, yet so short. He wondered if the other prisoners' screams would be as succulent when exposed to the Slaaneshi artifact.
Who else wanted to do this to Yrliet?
If there's one weakness to the offered choices, it doesn't give you enough truly evil dogma options. Like where's the torture? It's the Imperium. Torturing is like saying hello. I gave the lower decks shit whenever possible though. The scum will never be happy under me, that's for sure.
>who else wanted to engage in heresy just because "muh xenos"
Nobody with any sense I imagine.
A bolt to the brain and the soulstone forever put somewhere it can't be touched. Simple as. Anything beyond that is heresy and to claim otherwise when one knows what happens to eldar souls in the warp is to be a heretic.
Artemis, a Death Watch captain, stopped a ritual to destroy Slaanesh because he wanted Eldar souls to be tortured for eternity. He stated that he would rather see the Imperium fall to chaos than to share a victory over chaos with the xeno. Destroying soul stones may empower slaanesh, but it is a worthy tradeoff to ensure that the xeno gets their just desserts in the afterlife. That is the mindset of a true Imperial.
No it isn't and it's absolutely pure moronation to claim it is.
That's the kind of moronic grimderp timmy shit that ruins 40k as a whole. Then again, given GW's obsession with timmy money, I imagine that IS 40k at this point. The good stuff is rare to find.
Fortunately this game strikes a balance. That's why timmies are so mad about it.
Well, with how much suffering eldars bring to imperial worlds you can't really blame him
Even fricking necrons calculated that facing tyranids by themselves is best solution because they can't eat organic this way, so they face tanking them they they try to eat empire worlds
Eldars lure hives to imperial worlds because they believe that weakening empire in their best interests
You don't understand the problem.
You can blam all the eldar you want. To slip into wanting to torture them and let their souls go to slaanesh you fall to heretical thought and behavior.
It's that simple. Clean death, end it and move on.
>That is the mindset of a true Imperial
That must be why both the Inquisition (including Ordo Xenos) as well as the Grey Knights routinely work with the Eldar against Chaos. In fact, Grey Knights specifically go out of their way to recover any soul stones they find in their missions and hand them over to the Eldar.
How long is the standard playthrough? I'm doing this shit blind and feel like I fricked up, but might still complete this run if it won't take long.
>go into corrupted noble fight on Janus >guy stuns my entire party for two turns with stun grenades as a chick summons several daemonettes >restart, go up the side route that lets me get close to the summoning chick >kill her instantly, two of my guys die in 1 round because they don't act until the end+got stunned by the stun grenade guy >doesn't matter, the rest of my team just rinses everything remaining >can invite Yriel to my crew, select some other option and figure I can invite her later >"You know where to find me" >she vanishes from the both areas on Janus even after returning to and from voidship, check online and it says that it's bugged >have to re-do the fight, exact same shit happens
I feel underpowered and overpowered at the same time. I think I'm just going to restart on the highest difficulty and actually look at build guides.
Spread out
Have pascal take out that stupid sniper
Abelard should be able to tank him, use his taunt
Don't use the bolter with argenta, the bolter she starts with sucks donkey dick
He will run around after certain thresholds, try to account for that
It's going a lot better since he didn't instantly turn three people to mush this time around and this is still the first turn. The annoying sniper is still alive though.
He died pretty quickly in the second round. The sniper was more annoying as he killed a few but Cassia instantly destroyed him with a Nudge when he was the last enemy alive.
said he tends to target whoever hit him. Think about the turn order and position your tankiest unit to take the damage. Buff them with endure and shore up their defenses. Then nerf boss's damage with Pasqal's machine-spirit ability.
Then focus all your damage on him. Use everything at your disposal to reduce his armor - exploits, etc. Use extra turns to burst him down.
The sniper add is more dangerous than the actual boss because he can oneshot exposed units without warning and has a great vantage point, the boss is more predictable.
don't listen to people telling you to lower the difficulty. This boss is the only hard fight in the whole chapter, challenge yourself a little.
I'm in ch2 and have him as a melee grand strategist. Honestly I don't think it matters too much whether he's ranged or melee, because his best abilities are operative/strategist/mechanicus related, not attacking. But I prefer melee.
thinking deeper into it - grand strategist's frontline zone is really good, it's a straight damage buff vs. enemies and increases his already high armor, and you gain more out of it the more melee users you have. So it synergizes well since 2-3 of your other companions could be melee-focused at any time. It's also much easier for him to hit with relatively low WS than low BS, leaving you free to buy other characteristics to buff his support abilities. However, some of those abilities provoke AOOs when used in melee range.
On the other hand, plasma/melta ranged attacks have more potential to kill large groups rather than single targets. But operatives are better versus single targets as they can stack up lots of exploits at once. And using Pasqal to clear chaff means your soldiers/militants aren't doing it, racking up kills to increase their buffs. That's an anti-synergy.
Also, the talent that gives Pasqal extra MP on his first turn, while mainly designed to help melee builds get into range, is just really good overall.
another thing: you'll want Pasqal to have LoS on every enemy for max Exploit stacks, another reason why he'll probably end up near the front line either way. So there's not really any advantage to using a ranged attack, especially when he'll get enough MP to always be in range anyway.
Pretty much every smart person in both the eldar and imperium understands that they will have ally together to face what's to come and survive
It's not chaos btw
The narrative really sucks when the game starts railroading you. This guy ambushes me in my quarters, sitting behind my desk, and attacks my servant in front of me. There is absolutely zero chance my character would not kill him on the spot for such a grotesque violation and insult, the consequences be damned. At the absolute worst, he would refuse to cooperate.
But you're not allowed to do that, or even to refuse to cooperate with him. You HAVE to answer his questions politely and let him walk out.
When two big deals meat, it comes down to who is the bigger deal. And he's in my office, where I'm the biggest deal. He has zero power over me in my office, I have complete power over him. He is in no position to threaten at all.
That's not the point.
You're waiting to resort to violence against an inquisitor over basically nothing
He didn't even shoot your servant, just knocked him out to have a chat with you.
In lore your character would be forced to do as he says, should've had a an option to deny him with a bad ending tho like what happens when you try to return to the imperium
Play tabletop then, this guy isn't just a one off character that you never see again and chances are your current party couldn't do jackshit to him as of that moment
>This guy ambushes me in my quarters, sitting behind my desk, and attacks my servant in front of me
This is all pretty acceptable for how higher ups treat each other in the Imperium.
hahaha of course it's commisar cuck that has this lorelet shit take
were you the same guy saying commisars are more powerful than rogue traders and inquisitors? maybe next you'll fantasize BLAMing custodes and high lords of terra
This guy is an Inquisitor. If he really wanted, he could execute you on the spot and just claim that warp madness had gotten to you.
Inquisitors in lore are absolute bastards 99% of the time and can nuke planets for no reason as long as, in the rare case that an Inquisitorial Conclave is organized, he claims that "the planet was lost to the Arch Enemy"
Also, some Inquisitors want to frick Callidus Assasins while polymorphed into Genestealers (frick-pouch included)
Yup. Read the whole trilogy and got real pissed that they drop the whole Hydra warp-monster in the first pages of the second book and focuses on new bullshit
>Psalm of Heroes still bugged >Inspire still bugged >Pinnacle of Weaponry still bugged >Cull the Bold still bugged >Seize the Initiative on Cassia still bugged
What else
wait, if I'm getting this chapter right, I gotta kill the comissar if I wanna fight in the arena? damn, the snek seems like a cool enough guy but I don't want to betray a fellow imperial. But I really, really want to fight in the arena
why would i? it's obvious now that attacking malice was a trap, we end up fighting in the arena anyways. I get what I want without betraying the imperium
Every bug so far seems to be "shit that shouldn't stack for the player, does in fact stack"
Like Cassia getting 16 MP every turn. Or operatives generating infinity armor and damage buffs. Or WP bonus applying twice to some spell damage. Or Versatility applying both the Approach version and the normal version at same time, leading to guaranteed full damage crits on every attack if you hit enough times.
Only exception was a bugged conversation during Argenta's personal quest that I fixed with toybox in 3 seconds
Whereever you go later tends to become a bit harder and maybe lose some of the loot laying around
In you case probably more Daemonettes/Soldiers to deal with in Vyatt Knotcellar
Oh and the story might vary a bit too.
So going there later might equal stuff like talking the farseer down could become harder or even impossbru
Not that you'd care on a dogma run, just saying
No it's not bugged, morons here just thought it was because Owlcat included the break up option way too early, you get it like immediately after flirting once

I find it hilarious that people thought they would compare wotr to bg3 but that shit was so long in development that owlcat released another game.
>BG3
>is better
Lamer setting, more annoying characters with (wo)manchild syndrome, lamer story, dogshit pacing and comparative illusion of choice and differences in game world. BG3 has facial animations, lip syncing and reddit marketing and that's about it.
the setting and characters really killed it for me on bg3
as janky and sucky owlcat is the setting and characters havent been a complete turn off
the game is boring, and there is no build variety.
Give me the qrd on Yrliet.

>Gives you her soulstone
She fricking WHATS?
that seems to be the case, but nobody posted proof yet iirc
the no touching part still fricking sucks though
Yeah. It's pretty wild. Whoever was responsible for her romance clearly wanted to write something very specific and figured it would fit the eldar.
All romancable women written by single person
Doesn't change the fact they wanted to write something very specific and used the eldar, without realizing that giving a soulstone most definitely means that eldar would let the human do whatever the frick they wanted.
40k lorelet here, what is a soulstone and why is it so significant for an eldar to give it to someone?
basically space-horny-satan claims her soul if her soulstone isn't next to her once she dies
which is moronic because whats gonna happen in a few hundred years after the rt dies and the next heir comes
the only way to protect something like that would be the power of rt but giving your heir instructions of "hey there was an eldar xeno that i was really good friends with, no heresy, and uhhh i hold her soul and need you to do me a favor and be like its keeper and then pass it on to the next rt and so on and so forth."
she probably takes it back after she visits you on your death bed
I still don't understand why in her romance ending she goes on decade-long travels to calm her heart or something while in her non-romance ending she is completely fine with staying beside the RT for many decades
Any loregay can explain what's up with that?
She leaves in both, the difference is that in that one she doesn't come backin the non-romanced one she doesn't come back
non romanced ending states she traveled with the RT for 50 years, unlike in the romance one
its because the player cant have nice things
unless they fricked Jae lol
but then you get space aids and your kid is half brown space gypsy
yeah I wish there was a happy ending like that with someone who isn't a gypsy slag
Fish
>b-but
Fish
>she goes to do her own thing and mutates even in the best romance ending

Here, now shut the frick up
see I knew it was bullshit
Darn, gotten again.
I also just lost the game due to this trick making me think of other times I got tricked, so that's a double loss on my end.
Frick u
Yeah and in the other she marries someone else
>Look look! There's a bad ending where you don't end up with her!
Okay and...?
He's saying in one ending she cucks you and in the other she mutates so bad she leaves, are you fricking illiterate?
There are two romance ending where she both times becomes Novator, in one she isn't with you and the other she isnt with you and marries someone else, wow such good happy endings
>is that a happy ending for your moronic ass?
Pretty much. She either lives 5-10 years with you and this is the happiest years in her life.
Or she returns to her house rejects all marriage proposal, lives long life just as you but you see each other rarely (just like in her favourite doujinshi and romantic novels)
Because the writer read Frieren before writing her ending
Think I'm kidding. Even the fricking time (50 years) matches up. Someone needs to confirm this because I wont believe otherwise until the author himself says it.
Do we even have a list somewhere of who wrote who?
No list, but we know Argenta's guy wrote Regil for example.
Let me give you a bit of information
Eldar are extremely frickin moronic
Not because they're dumb, but because of their heug souls they feel emotions 5x more strongly than humans
Imagine a whole race probe to women moments
Are you telling me Dark Eldar go home to cry after murdering and raping?
No, deldar could stop murderaping at any time, doing it just makes slanesh hold on their soul stronger, but they rather keep doing it and risking certain soulvore than go to rehab
Pff, ya ok
basically she's giving you the key to her own soul
Eldars caused Slaanesh to appear by not being able to contain themselves. Slaanesh wants to fricking eat them since then. There's a very special welcome for eldars in particular upon death, the only way they can dodge it is storing their souls in these things, which prevents them from being released into warp.
>Eldars caused Slaanesh to appear by not being able to contain themselves
Funny way to say they had an interplanetary degenerate orgy
>the only way they can dodge it is storing their souls in these things,
Yeah cool story bro
It is the thing that their soul goes into when they die so it doesn't get vore'd by slaanesh
A soulstone's literally the only thing standing between Slaanesh forcefricking a craftworld eldar in the warp for all eternity.
Each eldar has their own. When they die, the soulstone houses their souls, which is then "stored" in the craftworld's infinity circuits, which is basically a sort of limbo for eldars to protect them from Slaanesh.
Problem is, Yrliet's craftworld's gone. She'll never get to the infinity circuit. Heck her giving you the soulstone's both a sign of trust you'll keep her soul as well as a little bit of implication that you're her heaven, or something.
Maybe that's reading to much into it, but it's major regardless.
>Problem is, Yrliet's craftworld's gone. She'll never get to the infinity circuit. Heck her giving you the soulstone's both a sign of trust you'll keep her soul as well as a little bit of implication that you're her heaven, or something.
She could do all of
those options really, but would not be at home in any of them. Basically a soul refugee, only tolerated there for eternity
I mean she could but craftworld's are isolated communities. And she already had an issue feeling at home in her own craftworld, I'd imagine it be worse in another.
Elders souls are the favorite candy for one of the chaos gods and they will suffer eternal torment if (s)he gets hands on them.
Durkari torment others to avoid it,
Exodites hide in world trees and Craft-worlders in their shipmatrix. But to get there craftworlders need to carry their soul in those stones so they aren't caught immediatly by demons when their body dies.
b***h is literally putting her eternal soul in your hands there.
>There were some Eldar who said this shit is fricked and left, those being the craftworlders and exodites.
Exodites are the only ones that left. Craftworlder's were just the lucky few that realized what was about to happen and hauled ass at the last moment.
I think eldar got as bad as they did because Asuryan forbade interactions between the gods and the eldar due to Khaine's actions. Without the guidance of their gods, eldar went a bit insane.
What did Khaine do?
Tried to create the Sundering, 40k edition. Tried to destroy the galaxy for the lulz. Mindcontrolling eldar to do so. You know, just Khaine things.
Asuryan's actions sound a lot like what the Emperor would do.
It's a bit deeper than that and Isha was more to blame for shit hitting the fan.
To be fair, Eldars wear those stones to save their souls from being raped for eternity, but if she is still alive, she can still get another soulstone.
But if the RT had the gem on his deathbed, does that mean that she can, at some point, come claim the stone back and be with the RT in their infinity circuit?
>impluing they would allow a mon-kegh in the IC
>come claim the stone back and be with the RT in their infinity circuit?
Apparently RT soul just goes poof and its gone in the ending
Should of went with Chaos.
But she cried for 5 minutes after RT died!
>But she cried for 5 minutes after RT died!
I call bullshit on her shedding a single tear
>yfw a dark eldar is a better gf even though he has a dick
amazing
At least she's OK with you fricking somebody else, instead of not allowing it while cucking you.
>Romance is still exclusive
Typical Eldar promises.
It got to be a joke from some Owlcat alphabet-victim to make Mrs. Touch-me-not-filthy-monkeigh count as romancepath in the first place. No, I dont care about hot-gluing a soulstone every night
Anon she gives you her soulstone. You're married now.
he doesn't know the ending where you have her kill all her own people and she stays with you forever until she dies from human sickness.
>is a xenos
>should not be trusted
>can be romanced
>but not fricked
>kinda uggo
She says you're the best human she ever met then betray you 5 minutes later
ahahaha classic
love these little wraithbone homies
Sounds like an eldar alright
She probably meant it too
poor man's matcha
tbh if you literally give someone your immortal soul but wont frick them that HAS to be the eldar equivalent of being a total prude and a wet blanket
I don't even mind the no fricking thing, but no hugs and no hand holding is really lame
>I will give you my soul but don't touch me okay
What the actual frick was owlcat thinking
But there is handholding.
Not physically
>Not an Aspect Warrior
>Not a Seer or Warlock
>Isn't even a Guardian
>Instead is a smelly teenage hobo
She's literally the lowest echelon of Eldar society.
a smelly teenage hobo that wont put out
her only value is in how she can please my human anatomy
There's no lowest rank in a craftworld. Every path has purpose, even the janitors. Rangers do what they want but still report back if they discover something important to the craftworld
There absolutely is a social hierarchy in a Craftworld, and Rangers are typically near the bottom. Their Path is specifically about not having a proper Path.
There's a command structure but every path is equal, unless you get lost in you're cycling through them anyway. Outcasts get looked down on outcasts because they don't understand them
Lost in one*
>Every path has purpose, even the janitors
So a craftworld is the complete opposite of an imageboard?
So I'm making my way to atlas system on my mindmeld e-gf's recommendation
What gear should I prison-smuggle in my cargo butthole for a Commorragh vacation? I'm thinking needle pistol and a power sword. I hope the arena will have some throwaway companions to officer-fu.
How long until they release another update to fix the dlc saves
Rogue trader doesn't have DLC yet though.
>Deluxe pack, Founder pack, Voidfarers pack...
It does not have DLC expansions yet.
They have to keep some bugs for next x-mas afterall
already hotfixed, pleb
The Necrons are the most likely out of all of them to have a Ganker. I can already imagine a thread being completely derailed because two Anons are are definitely not Trazyn and Orikan are having an autistic argument with each other.
anon they will have threads that are millennia long
and by their standards it hasnt even hit bump limit
and the topics will be about bane
a character from a movie
that has not yet reached its final act
no one has yet to point out that it is offtopic
because Ganker was that way
but the mods are still sleeing
Who would even be the jannies for a Necron Ganker? I doubt it would be the silent king.
How do I beat Aurora (forma de la word bearer)? I know he flees to the other side of the arena after 20% damage but how do you even survive a guy that can one shot while also having a sniper that also one shots
Make sure to have your tank last hit him, he targets whoever punches him
just dodge, bro. just don't get hit, homie
>How do I beat..
Cassia. Fishwife is always the answer to questions starting that way
I struggled too, and tbh its mostly luck imo.
>"Abelard, would you kindly solo the tin can?"
>And then Abelard solo'd the tin can while Cassia and the Rogue Trader kept shouting at him to do it faster.
>Pincer him with Heinrix and abelard so he has trouble moving (dude is 2x2)
>Position your other characters as far away from him as possible
>Place one or two characters close to the mooks that spawn near the ships
>Gain momentum by killing the mooks on the side with Argenta, Idira or your MC
>Get someone on sniper killing duty
>Enfeeble with Heinrix, both him and Abelard should be enduring
>Use Pasqal's buffs/debuffs, then ulti to dismantle and root him in place, if you didn't pick the snare upgrade snare him with Cassia instead, if she doesn't have that use Idiria's psyker CC, If you don't have any of that... lmaoing at your life
Fight is not that hard and I play on Unfair, the biggest dick in that fight is the sniper
was aurora a troony? she was a female woman first but then turned into csm?
did you ever have a brain in the first place?
not him but I didn't understand either, the csm come out of nowhere and just called himself Aurora
I've barely done Act 2 shit but it's clear that the other cultists were just his agents
Reposting.
I'm pretty interested in the game, but I'll wait a few months until it's more stable. I've always wanted to get into 40k, which games should I play in the meantime to get acquainted with the setting?
Chaos gate: Daemonhunters
Mechanicus
Dawn of War
Battlefleet Gothic Armada
what other anon said
also Warhammer 40,000: Inquisitor
pretty decen arpg
Dawn of War
the first Space Marine so you can play its sequel next year
if arpgs are to your liking
inquisitor
actually a good diablo-like with decent endgame
mind the occasional hungarian jank
man that was such a good game, had a cool priest flame attack self buffing archer build
too bad I softlocked myself by dropping the naked rotting female corpses off somewhere I couldn't remember when it turned out they were needed for the story
Is toybox working with the newest update?
Yes
no
Yes, both version do.
It too had a fresh update since yesterday
Tell me how to build Pasqual, what weapons besides Sniper? I already use Yrilet for that.
Update is out piratebros
Farseers need to go through warrior path then seer path so they can become a warlock
The militant's cloak works on ranged attacks
Love for mutants, xenos and heretics are from corrupted mind.
Love for Emperor are eternal. Argenta is best waifu.
Just entered the penal prison with riots and have the option of sparing the prisoners who tell me about shady shit at footfalls.
I don't understand why it's Heretical to let them go, but Iconoclast to tell them to join your ship. If anything, it's the exact opposite. They witnessed warp and are on a countdown to mindfrickery, bringing them to the ship is bad idea but if you want heresy it's all good, while letting them live for information would be Iconoclast, going against the Empire in spirit but being humane, to an extent.
>wake up excited for patch
>remember an anon said wait for the patch's patch
>Read they actually hotfixed the patch already
So...is it safe to play again? Or was that not the patch patch
Nope, maybe in next summer.
Owlcat games are never safe to play as long as they keep adding content, WotR still breaks every time they drop new dlc, and so will this game once the dlc starts to come out
Is pistol reload supposed to always cost 0? This looks like a serious synergy with that one fortress world character perk.
Different weapons have different reload costs, not sure if pistol is intended to be 0
0 for plasma pistols in particular for me.
However, even if it's a bug, there still seems to be a fully legitimate way to bring the cost to 0
>Soldier perk that brings it to 1
>That item for -1 cost admech sell which is explicitly stated to be able to bring it to 0
This looks pretty good. 2 pistols reloaded after every shot should give free attacks pretty often.
>Is pistol reload supposed to always cost 0?
not by default I think, but some other talents can do that.
Is this normal? Looks broken as frick
Why aren't you playing in japanese
I'm just a weeb with japanese locale, playing with japanese language will be a little hard to me, I think/
Ah, ok, as broken as it supposed to be then.
Japs play CRPGs?
What's supposed to be broken?
The "No Respite" Bonus you 0 Perception IRL moron
Fellas, how do I make an Officer Comissar that isn't basically a worse Noble Comissar? Pls help
There's like 50 different versions of feats and I'm confused by them all and leveling is hell..............
What did the patch notes mean by this?
if you gave her anything twohanded, she developed a Habsburger gigachad chin
navigator genes acting all sus
10/10 would fug.
>Can't leave my own bedroom
Nice one, Owlcat.
And a reload before being teleported into the room did not work.
Fantastic, I'm stuck and I haven't even finished the prologue.
haven't even finished act 1.*
>it's the tristian sex prison all over again, but this time without the sex
ToyBox to the rescue as always, I just clicked the magic Reset Interactables button.
man I should download this thing
Get it off github though not LGBTexus, those version is usually old
github.com/xADDBx/ToyBox/releases
Toybox is essential for owlkek games. BG3 was playable from start to finish on day 1, despite the endgame being kinda shit and no epilogues back then.
>BG3 was playable from start to finish on day 1
>Laughs in stuck combat loops and camping fires
>blatantly lying
BG3 was buggier at launch than fricking WotR.
>BG3 was buggier at launch than fricking WotR
Now who's blatantly lying
BG3 is lame but no, it wasn't.
BG3 was in early access for over 2 years.
Alternatively, create new save, load that.
no, you reload inside the room itself, anon.
That's how it's always been.
They want to be Larian so badly
they can actually write dialogue that doesn't feel like it was made up by 5 gay theater scene teenagers so that's a plus
They should promote Brotherman if they want to get big.
He really need to shut the frick up during his streams
Owlcat streams are the opposite of Larian
Instead of cheerful morons playing 5e trash they have gloomy Russians barely speaking English and playing very complex ttrpg ie Based
Larian just pulled a massive W in sales and reviews I don't think it's unreasonable for a cRPG studio to want to emulate some of their methods.
That being said I don't see any rogue trader VA pulling the amount of horny fujos that Astarion did. I like the performances but since Owlcat can't stop themselves writing essays in the middle of dialogs you get a lot of reading and not that much listening.
there's also no character to pull in horny fujos and yumejos, which is funny considering wrath had daeran
There is, they just didn't add that gaydar early enough in game
yeah I guess the drukhari gay kinda fits but as you said you get him way too late, and more importantly there's no "I can fix him" part, he's a horny evil slaver orgy man the whole way through
how do you guys deal with ship combat early on when playing on daring or higher?
Cheat your level up to 5. Frick the intended way.
>dude go around save scumming to find easy pirates
So, which psychic powers are major and which ones are minor? I don't see anything about it in the ability descriptions.
It should definitely show up in the description.
Disregard that, I'm moronic, you are right, it's right there
WHERE IS MY TOUCH OF ANGER, OWLCAt?
Drag it into your hotbar?...
There's no dragging, it's automatically managed. This happens to any Navigator ability that you pick on her before respeccing. If you pick it again, it won't get added.
>Be Abelard
>Loyal to the Imperium and those he serves
>Learns from his mistakes
>Navy Officer that's a beast in glorious melee combat
>Has many children and grandchildren
He is the embodiment of true masculinity and a gigachad
I fricking detest with all my heart that only Jae's romance could have RT even remotely like that in terms of offspring
I just wish that there was a companion that fulfilled that and wasn't some wino aunt with a grating voice
Jae is everyones favourite after we learned that you breed her and she becomes your Lady
>I'm ready to marry and settle down: the companion
>fan favorite
kek
Haha nice granddaughter you have there. Would be a shame if something happened to her haha
His surrogate daughter that assumed the mantle of the Rogue Trader fricks dark eldar men though
whats the big deal with the farseers?
more VIPs in this world?
Farseers are spiritual leaders on Craftworlds and often assume the role of general leadership. They specifically involve themselves in using their psychic abilities trying to read the future and find prophecies or visions of potential future threats to the Craftworld, which is pretty hard when the Warp is virtually unpredictable. As such they usually only get vague or fragmented visions, or very blunt "Kill X and disaster can be avoided" or "This person must do X to stop a crisis" messages which might not include all the details.
Strongest psykers in 40k, responsible for eldar 5D chess
seriously where the frick is 1dGanker
all the newbies scrambling over here and the bare minimum reading is down
was there supposed to be patch today?
man i dont understand act 3 at all
what a fricking intlet
explain whats weird to you.
Not too deep on knife ear lore so someone else can correct me
Clown is a harlequin(knife ear that follow the laughing god, enigmatic mofos, separate from aeldari/drukhari, usually working to help the knife ears as a whole). I'm running under the assumption that the 'quins can't directly interfere but they're okay with manipulating behind the scenes especially moving non-aeldari pieces like you.
thanks anon
here's an instagram cassia
Not there yet, but the Clown is a Harlequin Solitaire, something which makes almost EVERY Eldar shit themselves in panic when one shows up, and arguably one of the most dangerous single individuals one can encounter in 40k. If a Kabal knew that a Solitaire was knocking at their door they'd cause an absolutely colossal scene liable to drag in several other groups.
if they're all scared shitlless, why not just take farseers and go
So I plan for my RT to be a mini Space Marine melee build with Power Sword/Gsword or Hammers. However, the problem is getting to the enemies. Either they are really far away, or Cass + Argenta cleans em up before my melee get even in range.
are there better ways to get to enemies faster as melee? I know there is a talent that gives 2 MP but eh
Charge from warrior, officer buff.
heh, getting persuasion to 142 was worth it just for this get fricked marzipan
>7.5 GB patch
Why so big?
It was only 2GB for me.
on ps5, is the patch not out there yet?
No clue, I have it on Steam.
i just booted up and saw no download, consolecuck BFTO 🙁
They said in twitter that console patches are out "soon". I guess we are both waiting.
>playing crpg on console
why are you doing that to yourself
do you like pain that much
I played loads of Final Fantasy tactics so getting used to this wasn't hard. movement is pretty comfy. Clickling actually unironically seems more like a chore when I watch PC gameplay.
oh god... the dark elf torture is unbearable... they put me in mass effect 3!
If you see the Illusive Man run!!
Imagine the smell. no seriously how do those homie live there?
Convincing argenta that she needs to give you many heirs so you can continue the Emperor's mission
ukrainian language when?
So did you post that pic to completely invalidate your post? Are you falseflagging?
>The combat is the most boring turn based combat I've encountered in ages
I never understood why other games aren't able to just copy&paste X-com 2 combat, not even the company that actually made those X-com games can do that, is it a curse or something?
>moronic post
>schizophrenic image
a tale as old as time
I can't take Chaos seriously. Oh no, a big bad obviously evil demon is offering me stuff in exchange for my soul, of course I'll accept why the heck not. Oh no, a voice in my head is telling me to claw my eyes out, better get to it! Just like, don't do that shit bro. How is that difficult?
People fall for email and telephone scams. At least the demon scam comes with some benefits attached.
>Lariangay tries to shitpost about Owlcat and accidently posts one of his literal cuck fetish pictures
RT has the best combat since JA2
Sounds like you've been filtered
>Muh I want my extremely casual nu-xcom!
are you implying the combat ISN'T casual XCOM??
Yes
>kill everything in round 1 with an arch militant and two officers
>best combat since JA2
Yeah, no. It's fun being a god of death raining holy wrath of the emperor on everything but it's not a good system if it's so easy to break.
The class balance is whack too, there's absolutely no point in assassin since arch militant does the same but a hundred times better, operative/bounty hunter can at least debuff bosses into uselessness.
>destroys cadia and humiliates imperium of man, eldar and necrons
nothing personel
Tard wrangling all the chaos armies to fight together in a black crusade sounds like an absolute chore
it's only took him stealing eldar tech, 12 black crusades and like ten thousand years to do it. Horus did it in about, what, less than ten years?
lmao at the "warmaster"
Anon why did you post that image?
Did you meant to post a regular version but post the cuck one instead?
>Abelard in act 4 asks you if he could step down as your seneschal
I feel that he deserves it after act 3 but I don't know who the frick could replace him. Argenta wouldn't take the job right?
>but I don't know who the frick could replace him.
He gets replaced by 3 generic NPC's of your choice. Depending on your pick you either raise your Dogmatic, Heretic or Iconoclast score. Or if you don't want to raise any of those you can just go without a new seneschal.
No they don't have special interactions after you pick one either.
Man that's awful, I'm not replacing him then
But do you lose him as a companion?
No idea, I refused to let him step down.
ABELARD
YOU'RE NOT GOING ANYWHERE
There are probably better ways to condition yourself then this honestly. I mean shit you could probably do this without the conditioning specific image. All you would have to do is get aroused at whatever you do normally and then have the feet picks up when you are about to blow your load. Slowly phase at the normal shit while looking at feet and then boom you into feet now. Probably would help if you can imagine feet specific scenarios in your mind as you do it as well for further mental conditioning.
when do you get to start corrupting your companions to chaos? how do you know if it's working?
So your choices are a fish mutant that cucks you, a brown prostitute, or an elf who thinks you're too ugly to frick? Do gays get anything good?
You could be a girl and bang Hendrix
>fish mutant that cucks you
Mindbroken
she literally fricks another navigator in an ending to keep the bloodline
There is marriage ending
Keep posting the fake endings.
>fake
ohnononono
the level of cope Cassia gays have to delude themselves with
It's not fake.
Here is Jae.
>prostitute get's best ending owlcucks style
Can someone post xenos ending where she cucks RT with Marzipan?
That one is fake, this one isn't
Man it implies farmers ran a train through Cassia kek how can you genuinely believe it to be real, it's a shitpost since Kingmaker
>how can you genuinely believe it to be real
Anon.... he has been posting that pic nonstop for days now, please use the archives
He doesn't believe it, he's just shitposting and probably hoping that at least one moron will genuinely fall for it
You have no idea how fricked/cucked endings are.
That first one seems like the best ending for both the Eldar.
I'm curious about this because the endings where they both end up together, the harlequinn and corsair endings, require I assume either leaving them behind in deldar town or fricking up both their quests.
What happens if you only frick up one of them?
Don't get the second ending. When you got it?
Does Dogmatic block much content from you? I don't want to go SHOOT HIM IN THE FACT on every 2nd npc who has something to say to me or a quest
you still get dogmatic choices even if you spare people
you just need to not be a moron who can't tell what ends a conversation or not
>This answer is marked as evil so I have to choose it because I'm playing evil character
Stop being like this
It's not very well balanced but when it works it's extremely good.
You literally found one OP meta build that sucks all the fun out of the game.
>The combat is the most boring turn based combat I've encountered in ages
the bg3 thread is 2 blocks down gay
>The homosexual deleted his image
I guess it was not part of the standard animu avatargayginf
Will Officer get extra AP if they do 2 skills then air of authority with lead by example or do they only gain resolve?
>Ulfar can't use his bolt pistol in melee
I thought act 3 got beta tested? How is such an obvious oversight missed?
Only pistols and shotfuns are usable in melee (when threatened).
Anon, did I say boltER or bolt PISTOL?
Had you attacked before and does have dual weapon combat?
It's prolly a bug but still.
you need a skill for that
I sincerely don't think that's the case.
Why can't yrliet use all eldar stuff right away? Its silly they even give you stuff that early that she can't use.
Some of the eldar stuff is not for her, it's for jae.
>person with burnt out dopamine receptors from pornography thinks combat is boring and the pacing is slow
so shocked
Shitpsoters are so desperate, even after getting the hecking virgin waifu they always wanted they still keep going
Gee what a steal!
Redpill me on how to build Pasqal. He seems like a hybrid build in a game where hybrids suck wiener. Also, should I bring him to Kiava Gamma?
Definitely bring him to Kiava Gamma.
big area attacks take all his special mechanicus traits
lets him do extra damage for int
take expose vulnerabilities
basically turns him into an armor/dodge shredder
also give him a pistol or shotgun to use since he can dual wield innately
>Redpill me on how to build Pasqal. He seems like a hybrid build in a game where hybrids suck wiener
Exploit stacking with plasma weapon focus, give him that talent that increases his AP by +1 when he uses a plasma weapon and use officer's ult to have him go buckwild
>Also, should I bring him to Kiava Gamma?
Yeah, he's good againts machine type enemies and there are some machines in there
What the frick is going on with CRPG shilling? Between BG3 and now this shit, it's getting absurd.
Every thread about these games seems to reach 400 posts with half or a quarter of that being unique posters.
CRPGs are the magna opera of video games.
How dare people talk about the game
In theory, when discussion happens people respond to each other. Threads are not just posting a hot take over a twitter screenshot with 400 unqiue ips. How do you think threads fill up in boards like /vrpg/, /vst/, /vr/ etc?
I always find the unique IP argument weird. Do Anons just think everyone should just make one post calling someone a troony and that’s the thread?
it's entirely romancegays arguing about cucking and which company cucks you more
i don't get it, man. but then, i've never watched anime
did you miss these companies starting themselves up from kickstarters during the mid 10s before getting big IPs like D&D and 40K? are you moronic? it's been going on for years
Because other modern vidya games are soulless slop.
This is every Owlcat release. Back to back general style threads on Ganker, /vrpg/ and /vg/ are a ghost town, and angry Russians screeching when you lay out a mild criticism.
>frequent CRPG threads before BG3, no people complaining about shills
>frequent CRPG threads after BG3, somebody cires about shills every thread.
>no people complaining about shills
Paid shill or Russian doing it for free? You be the judge!
>don't talk about this game because I say so
This is literally the obly place where the game gets discussed, get a grip. Tons of places where you can go to see something else.
Ganker loves Owlcat games. The games are as autistic as the board.
Because this is the only place to discuss the game, owlkek general on /vg/ is kill and /vrpg/ is a hellscape.
>owlkek general on /vg/ is kill
OwlBlack folk invaded /crpgg/ and it was nothing but the usual /ocg/ schizos shitting it up before this game came out and people actually started talking about video games
>/vrpg/
Is better than Ganker thanks to being a slow board
>OwlBlack folk invaded /crpgg/ and it was nothing but the usual /ocg/ schizos shitting it up before this game came out and people actually started talking about video games
Yes but can you one shot unfair Deskhari?
>with half or a quarter of that being unique posters.
Horrifying that some people think this is a bad thing. Really love those threads were people just drive by shitpost and leave.
I have no interest in playing the "Everyone is gay in space" game.
but the characters arent playersexual
It's warhammer, literally every character with even so much as a paragraph dedicated to them in the entire franchise is gay, a robot, and/or evil.
Everyone is evil in W40K
I’m actually impressed they are not. Outside of the warp all the other characters have been decently written. No lazy good vs evil marvel shit.
I always play utilitarian and I’m doing some fricked up shit. It’s a well put together game in a lazy age of tropes.
They are evil, but not an unnecessary evil
Except chaos, frick those clowns
Forgot us, white boy? Shieeeet, we love humanity and shit, Black person.
Salamaders are not black. They're obsidian from mutation.
What's with the fantasy african names then
For native Nocturnes that mutation is called "skin darkening to protect from harsh sunlight".
How does this guy not just crush that little girls hand?
Why is everyone gay? Also why does the god stand in have black kids that are depicted as being good guys, and the "Good guy high tech faction" are commies?
You'd think this would be obvious to people that something was wrong.
See, the very first piece of Warhammer shit I picked up, the book takes a break from a story about a psychic demon pig to tell a gay romance story. So I thought "Wow, is this shit all gay?" and I took a cursory examination, and it indeed appears to be all gay esg shit. Their main character is a literal turbo athiest, and they call humanity monkeys.
Anon you really should try to not impotently rage at everything, especially IP's notorious for being prostituted out to anybody
You're REEEEEing about homosexuals in a setting that has numerous stories of them being fricked over (and that's a good thing in these stories even)
hate's fine but don't be a moron
>love has no place in WH40K
>but also there NEED to be gay love stories in your wargaming novels
Hey man, "Don't put gay shit in stuff you want me to buy" isn't a big ask. If it's impossible for you to continue without the gay shit, that's a you problem.
If the game was about people in mech suits fighting aliens, and shit I'd be into it. If it's a gay romance in space, I'm not. Stop shilling rogue trader if you can't take out the gay shit.
>ESG buckbroken
What pol does to a dumb motherfricker. Besides righteous indignation and laughing at the suffering of minorities what do you do for fun? Do you even remember real genuine happiness.
NTA but stop being such a fricking crybaby lmao. If opinions like this hurt your fee-fee's you're on the wrong website.
NTA but stop being such a fricking crybaby lmao. If opinions about pol hurt your fee-fee's you're on the wrong website, homosexual.
>6 replies in an instant seething
now I'm even more sure that some kind of shilling is going on
fricking freaks
>people reply to my moronic take
>how could this happen
?
>make a post in an active thread
>people reply to it
I know you are a schizo who thinks basic human interactions are shilling but come on
The banging on the bridge is finally over, the tech priests committing the rite of percussive maintenance is over
My Chad Noble (he's literally me)
why the long face
I had to crop it to fit the draconian portrait size
so why didn't you crop it in some sort of ratio of the portait?
looking a little squished
you're a plastic surgery looking bug?
He looks like a gay
Now now, if only she wasn't ugly as sin
Why the frick is a sanctic psyker so broken?
Emperor protects!
Some of those Eldar weapons would be really good for her but it would feel just wrong to have Argenta get proficiency in them.
>stealth section
where's my comfy arena tournament arc also cargo trick doesn't seem to be working
nvm found it 20 meters to the left
Abelard, I'm trans now. Prepare the scissors and HRT and mental illness meds.
Tech-uselet here, how do I patch my pirated version
Ask Pasqual for help in all tech related matters
He went from my best character with a overpowered laser sniper that could melee to my most useless at the end of chapter 2. I have to keep him around though to unlock stuff though.
You download the new one.
Prepare some incense and brush up on your machine spirit appease lithurgy hymns
Also update your lingua technica transmitter.
rin always has the new update here
https://pixeldrain com/u/pXZoXNXK
Abelard, misgender him
So when the talent says adjacent, does it mean the square around the character, or the right/left/above/below of him?
Thought I'll kill gay when I see him next time, but damn some responses to recruit him are good
>i believe in mercy, even for the lines of you
Jesus Frick.
It's mainly worth it for everyone else's reaction to having him in your party. Jimmi in particular seems like he's having a full breakdown if you rescue him with both xenos in the party.
Does the DE companion really not care if you go chaos?
What difficulty should I play this on if I know what I'm doing in CRPG's and want a challange, but not quite the assrape you'd get from playing WoTR on the highest difficulty?
Second one.
daring
Game is broken in player favor, so anything bellow would be too easy
Daring should be okay, you can change later anyway.
I like to improvise and not savescum, outside of 2 exploratory battles Danger has been perfect. If you are good at owlcat games I’d go one higher, they normally filter my lack of autism.
play unfair its not that hard because the fish is overpowered. I only have to retry the harder fights so i cant imagine how much easier lower difficulties are
>tfw no clussy eldar fg
STOP CALLING ME A MONKEY
It's okay, some of them think monkeys are cute.
what is going to happen to him?
Don't worry they're just going to show him their soulstones
>oh this ship combat mini game seems pretty decent this time round
>a few combats later
>this shit fricking SUCKS
why is it always like this with owlcat and their mini games
The worst part is it could be fun if it was fleet vs fleet instead of 5v1.
Or if it was real time instead of turn based
The greatest crime is the fact I CAN'T RAM THE FRICKERS
WHAT KIND OF WARHAMMER 40K SHIP COMBAT IS IT IF I CAN'T RAM THEM
homie there is a ram button
Yes but becuase it's turn based the AI never lines up.
I can only ram at the start of movement so I can never do it.
maneuver better, tardo
i get the chance to do it all the time
My maneuvering's irrelevant because it's entirely about how the enemy maneuvers.
And since the enemy's an AI they never make a mistake unless they happen to start in position and I go first.
No I can't. It doesn't let me ram after I've moved to the light green colour.
>brainlet can't predict an AI's movement and position himself accordingly
god, man. my opinion of you was low already but damn
Shut up homosexual. I just want Gothic Armada
then go play that, either of them. i refuse to play them because they're homosexual teal time instead of turn based like the tabletop game
>homosexual
>Gothic Armada
>homosexual
Complete Black person tier opinion.
real time is for Black folk who just wanna click real fast instead of actually think
Gothic Armada 2 requires actual strategy to the approach and has pause options to adjust.
>I can only ram at the start of movement
You can ram in all first 4 squares, including last ones that let you turn ship
Also game expects you to ram from final preparing square because it gives you highest damage
lmao I suck so bad ad ship combat Ive made every choice I could make yet to avoid it. Everytime I'm just 1 tile off and the damage I dish out is laugable. The torpedo movement is complicated for me too.
NTA but I have the ram at level 5 and it fricks me every time. Lose 1/3 my hp and all my shields. It’s pretty useless outside a emergency finisher.
there's literally a ram button you moron
jesus christ real time gays are stupid
You get ships on your side from planet upgrades, both pirates and navy give you escorts
Yeah, also random loot and for planet developments
It's AI controlled and addicted to flying into torpedoes.
I enjoyed most of space fights, only problem I see with them is enemies always moving first if you don't have traits
Best minigame from owlcat by far
Understatement. 7/10 vs being punched in the face.
Find easier battles and suck up to the Drusiads. Later you can buy from the navy but it didnt happen till mid way chapter 2 for me.
How I do I get ship upgrades? I can only win against some shitty pirates but the reputation needed to buy upgrades is too much.
Colony upgrades. Sucks being forced to choose these.
Okay, didn't saw this one coming
Was sure it was inquisition or xenos
but I kill chaostards on the spot too
It was kinda obvious when you visited prison in chapter 1.
Total lack of surprised about act of heresy
>can't become a digga and krump some 'oomiez
Not buying this trash.
>Dark Eldar two handed weapons don't get double strength modifier as a damage bonus like regular two handed weapons
Trash. What's the point of locking them behind feat requirements if they're just shit?
It's actually all two handed swords that work this way
>They fixed burst fire not counting as a separate attack type from area attack for arch-militant
>Now it counts as TWO attack types and gives two instances of of versatility
Quality.
Alright, crawled out of the corpse pit, repaired that convector for the snake in exchange for healing, and finally managed to get all that stuff i smuggled to commaragh out of my butthole of holding
the tally:
>1x suit of premium carapace armor
>1x ornate hunting stubrifle
>1x debuffing needle pistol
>1x power sword
>15x frag grenade mkXVI
>various medical sundries
and of course, most importantly, so these bdsm aids elves will have my glorious presence announced to them
>3x herald servo skull
Time to do this riches to rags arc right proper, boys
Is this game good? If I thought WoTR was pretty amazing aside from the lackluster final act do you think I would like this? I am familiar with and fond of 40k as well, if that matters.
>Liked wotr
>Likes warhammer
>"Will I like this warhammer game made by the people who made wotr?"
I don't know anon, what do you think?
Classes are somewhat underwhelming if you loved the WotR build autism, but otherwise you'll likely enjoy it.
There's not as much build variety but it's alright
Probably the best W40K game in recent history but that says more about W40K games than anything else
Couldn't play pathfinder games because of the garbage combat, but rogue trader is pure kino
So did they fix the broken act 4 companion quests?
Is there any way to access the art from the game? Some of these pieces capture the madness of the events and the setting so perfectly. The AdMech has to be my favourite faction from WH40K, they're just so fricking crazy. Watching these morons try to use a computer, it's just as funny every single time.
Artbook and some of these can be found in the steam point shop
Probably, if you dick around the file structure enough. Otherwise, the Artbook exists
Yes, pirate the game with the artbook, or look at the archives someone posted a link here
That's a big ass for a navigator
>Watching these morons try to use a computer, it's just as funny every single time.
I had a solid chuckle at the reactor where the brothers were preventing the sabotage attempt by effectively DDOSing the computer via spamming "Access Request Prayers"
>Abelard, let them know who they fricking with
I'm having so much fun bros
same I also really like the music when you're on the bridge of the voidship.
accept jae as the superior romance option
Can you change the companion art and then maybe i could
she just doesnt do it for me
Toybox got you there
Arts ok, Persian accents a stretch, the personality though. Ugg.
So, can you unsanction your sanctioned psyker now?
what does overheating a plasma weapon do? the game never explains
It's toned down for this game but generally speaking overheating one increases damage output but also makes it liable to fricking explode and vaporize whoever's carrying it.
I saw it do damage to a person adjacent to the shooter once
what does the crossed out eye icon mean?
no line of sight on him i think
How do Yrlietkeks cope with the fact that her romance has nothing close to anything romantic
I know there's no sex or touching, but is there not even lovers dialogue like the others have? That sucks
>I don't get why everyone's obsessing over romances for a game like this.
Only point of RPGs.
>Literally need to call her beautiful then double down and flirt with her
Why lie on the internet?
gee, I wonder why a bunch of losers and virgins with no romantic prospects are obsessed with simulating romance in video games
romances belong in RPGs, thats why every single good and successful rpg has romance
I'm not complaining that was for all the spergs that want to romance Argenta or Pasqal.
>romance doesn't belong in 40k
Timmy moment.
owlkuck should just let the rt by a harem of slave girls and everyone would be happy
no romance but the power and appetite of a lord without a lot of oversight shown appropriately
Lmao have you ever read a non space marine novel
People is still people, even in the 41st millennium
Sorry anon, my husband is also my extremely devoted master of whispers.
>love is considered to be a weakness in 40k
I mean...provably untrue.
>Imperial culture is a lot like drow culture, actually
Skaven. They're like skaven. I remember some artbooks where they listed skaven as the chief inspiration for a lot of the Imperium's motifs.
Yet prostitute get's good ending.
I think the romance could be fine if it was handled in a more 40k appropriate way but the fact it's just traditional pseudo-medieval romantic lovey dovey stuff feels extremely out of place.
Don't romance Cassia then, everyone else has more fitting romances for the setting.
>it's just traditional pseudo-medieval romantic lovey dovey stuff
Lmao dude you can literally have the RT act like Louis XIV in space
>pseudo-medieval romantic lovey dovey stuff
This is bad in a pseudo-medieval sci-fi setting because...?
In the quest on Janus, what happens if you choose to let the Eldar go on and rule?
They genocide the humans later
Good thing I killed them all.
Does the order you visit planets in Act 2 matter as it did in Act 1?
Yes
Wew, what order would frick me over least?
I'd say Janus>Kieva>Dragonus but YMMV
That's the mindset of a moron
Clean death, end it and move on.
>than to share a victory over chaos with the xeno
This guy must be seething over Girlyman
>That is the mindset of a true Imperial
That must be why both the Inquisition (including Ordo Xenos) as well as the Grey Knights routinely work with the Eldar against Chaos. In fact, Grey Knights specifically go out of their way to recover any soul stones they find in their missions and hand them over to the Eldar.
>Jae actually has the most armor of anyone in my party at 90%
Huh
whats the build to turbo frick chaos space marines in melee
I enjoy bullying the fish.
I've had enough of demons, the Black person has to go. What's a good second archetype for Heinrix if I just want him to heal and cast buffs?
How long is the standard playthrough? I'm doing this shit blind and feel like I fricked up, but might still complete this run if it won't take long.
>go into corrupted noble fight on Janus
>guy stuns my entire party for two turns with stun grenades as a chick summons several daemonettes
>restart, go up the side route that lets me get close to the summoning chick
>kill her instantly, two of my guys die in 1 round because they don't act until the end+got stunned by the stun grenade guy
>doesn't matter, the rest of my team just rinses everything remaining
>can invite Yriel to my crew, select some other option and figure I can invite her later
>"You know where to find me"
>she vanishes from the both areas on Janus even after returning to and from voidship, check online and it says that it's bugged
>have to re-do the fight, exact same shit happens
I feel underpowered and overpowered at the same time. I think I'm just going to restart on the highest difficulty and actually look at build guides.
>actually look at build guides.
you didn't beat the game
also i restarted my playthrough 40 hours in
How do I win against Aurora? The dude has 450 health and instantly kills half of my party.
are you playing on core or something?
Yes.
He gets to go first.
It might just be 350, I should still be able to defeat him.
He focuses on whoever hit him last
>450hp
drop the difficulty. you arent ready for chapter 2 if he gives you trouble
Spread out
Have pascal take out that stupid sniper
Abelard should be able to tank him, use his taunt
Don't use the bolter with argenta, the bolter she starts with sucks donkey dick
He will run around after certain thresholds, try to account for that
You get 2 new non-shit bolters before the CSM fight.
and a plasma gun right before it
You can be dual wielding plasma pistols if you buy one from the vendor.
Like
said he tends to target whoever hit him.
Chaos is pretty cool, bros. Maybe the Emp had it wrong all along.
How should I build Pasqal? A melee or big dakka kind of guy?
How the frick do you get a steady supply of medkits?
Pretty much every smart person in both the eldar and imperium understands that they will have ally together to face what's to come and survive
It's not chaos btw
Guilamen should class them as abhuman already
How do I win against Uralon? I can barely last two rounds.
Is it really worth speccing pascal for the plasma rifle? It seems like the long las does more damage and performs better overall for someone like him.
Well yeah, he's an inquisitor. Kind of a big deal.
I'm a big deal.
When two big deals meat, it comes down to who is the bigger deal. And he's in my office, where I'm the biggest deal. He has zero power over me in my office, I have complete power over him. He is in no position to threaten at all.
You can get away with offing Jimmi.
Calcazar, though, even your RT is smarter than you.
>I wanna shoot the inquisitor!
God you're that guy aren't you?
People shoot inquisitors all the time. Cain has shot at least one.
That's not the point.
You're waiting to resort to violence against an inquisitor over basically nothing
He didn't even shoot your servant, just knocked him out to have a chat with you.
knocked him out with a chainsword through the neck
What, no he didn't. He said at the end of the conversation that "it's time for me to leave and your servant to wake up"
He got better
In lore your character would be forced to do as he says, should've had a an option to deny him with a bad ending tho like what happens when you try to return to the imperium
I should've had the option to wrap him in a bag and throw him in a river then blame it on the eldar.
Play tabletop then, this guy isn't just a one off character that you never see again and chances are your current party couldn't do jackshit to him as of that moment
>Three npc responses already
You're right anon, even if you killed him and it automatically triggerered a game over the option should still be there
That's the equivalent to making vlaakith total party wipe you in bg3
inquisitors can't cast wish
They can cast a level 9 spell called excomunicato traitoris
>Also, some Inquisitors want to frick Callidus Assasins while polymorphed into Genestealers (frick-pouch included)
Kek, Harlequin by Ian Watson?
Yup. Read the whole trilogy and got real pissed that they drop the whole Hydra warp-monster in the first pages of the second book and focuses on new bullshit
good ol' Inquisition Wars
I am still waiting for some novel char stuck in the webway getting saved or eviscerated by Mehlindi
>Psalm of Heroes still bugged
>Inspire still bugged
>Pinnacle of Weaponry still bugged
>Cull the Bold still bugged
>Seize the Initiative on Cassia still bugged
What else
of Weaponry still bugged
It's absolutely not.
I get just +1 damage forever on all subsequent attacks instead of INT Bonus/2
At least with Pasqal Plasma
I’ll pick it up in a year when it’s on sale and they’ve ironed out the worst of the bugs. WoTR got so much better after all the patches
who or what is elentach
i picked a wrong option and now i cant ask anymore
wait, if I'm getting this chapter right, I gotta kill the comissar if I wanna fight in the arena? damn, the snek seems like a cool enough guy but I don't want to betray a fellow imperial. But I really, really want to fight in the arena
You are small brain. Just tell the commissar that snake man wants him dead and then go kill snake man instead.
moron the commisar talks about an escape plan with a ship while malice hints at a rise through the ranks gladiator thing which i wanted to do
ah ok thanks i should have guessed, an entire arena portion would be a lot of wasted assets if it wasn't mandatory
You're going to feel so fricking stupid in like 15 minutes
why would i? it's obvious now that attacking malice was a trap, we end up fighting in the arena anyways. I get what I want without betraying the imperium
It's a trap.
remember where you are anon
It is insane the amount of shit that's broken in this game. The more I play the more it starts to rival kingmaker. This is a step BACK from WOTR
Is the food quest timed?
what's a fun way to build pascal? should i focus on plasma stuff or make him more melee focused?
>what's a fun way to build pascal?
Build him as a benchwarmer on the ship
So does anything bad happen if I don't go to Janus first? Doing dogmatic run so I'm not in any hurry to get that space elf.
Whereever you go later tends to become a bit harder and maybe lose some of the loot laying around
In you case probably more Daemonettes/Soldiers to deal with in Vyatt Knotcellar
More daemons to kill sounds good to me. Maybe I'll go to Dargonus first. I wonder if there are any benefits going there first.
Oh and the story might vary a bit too.
So going there later might equal stuff like talking the farseer down could become harder or even impossbru
Not that you'd care on a dogma run, just saying
I threw away blade shart, have I locked myself from side content or just chaos route?
just chaos, even then it's more like secret ending bullshit cause you can still do heretical shit
>he doesn't know each Alignment gets their very own unique companion
Go ahead and name them then
Calligos, Incendia, and Uralon
is cassias romance actually bugged or is it like when you autists kept "accidentally" having gay sex with sosiel
No it's not bugged, morons here just thought it was because Owlcat included the break up option way too early, you get it like immediately after flirting once
Its identical with Lady Jae, 1 dialogue and you can break up.
I assume they did it because of people who kept triggering wotr romances, like me
