>You fail quests if you go to one place first and vice versa
What a terrible design
They should have learnt from Larian which allow you to go both Underdark and ground path
I suspect there's a time limit too
I don't understand how anyone plays this shit
DMT Has Friends For Me Shirt $21.68 |
>You fail quests if you go to one place first and vice versa
>I suspect there's a time limit too
That sounds good to me. More of this would push the medium forwards.
>More of this would push the medium forwards
How so?
not him, but I'm guessing he means that having meaningful consequences to your actions in the game is probably a good thing even if it triggers a certain subset of gamer. I increasingly feel like people have this attitude toward games where if you lose or get into a bad state it's off-putting, when in fact a huge part of games is supposed to be losing and trying again.
maybe I don't understand his point though, that's just my take
dynamic world states, more opportunities for roleplaying, conequnces of your decision. those are all good things
Because your choices actually carry a weight instead of the game coddling babies who have anxiety attacks because they might miss out on one quest or cosmetic item on their first play through. Having clearly defined consequences that make sense and are informed by how the play the game gives it more character than "OH MAN HERE IS A BIG CHOICE (don't worry it doesn't actually matter)"
But again, a lot of modern gamers are loss averse pussies who spend more time fretting and reading guides than actually playing games.
>"OH MAN HERE IS A BIG CHOICE (don't worry it doesn't actually matter)"
Isn't that literally what happens with Janus and the other planets? The game tells you the order you visit them in is a big deal but in reality the order you visit them in doesn't matter at all.
You can either have a very short game in which choices matter, which is intended to be replayed often, or a long game in which choices don't matter (much), which isn't intended to be replayed often. It's not the 90s anymore where you could legit only had a small array of games available to you and basically no internet. Everything competes for your time nowadays, and most people would rather not have games waste the time they invest in them.
Anyway, I fell for the choices matter meme once with Mass Effect and since then learned that, no, they don't, and shouldn't.
>most people would rather not have games waste the time they invest in them.
That's not true, people keep buying these huge games whose entire advisement campaign is saying how huge the world is and how it takes 120h to complete
And they play them once and then move on. They don't have to redo the game from earlier saves because one decision that doesn't in any way stand out completely changes the game and potentially ruins it later.
Yeah, but your point was that repeating a game was a waste of time for people, when they're already wasting more time in am unnecessarily huge game
Devs could focus on making smaller, more carefully crafted games that need to repeated a dew times to be fully enjoyed and the player's time spent on them would be the same, but significantly higher quality
How does choosing one path over another ruin a game? Also if it's so burdensome to have games clogging your backlog and you don't enjoy it enough to ever replay it you probably don't want to 110% it anyways so why worry about missing out on a quest branch other than being neurotic.
>choosing one path over another
Not what we're talking about at all though? If the game doesn't actually advertise a meaningful choice as such, it's not a choice at all, but a trick. And that very much ruins a game.
If seemingly inconsequential choices that you make in-character have deep consequences later, it's a plus, not a fault, in a RPG.
Or said otherwise
I'm still waiting for you or some other anon to answer what exactly you're talking about.
Which quests fail if you do other quests first?
The space wolf one
I'm not there yet.
So how does it fail? You've got a timer to do it? Or does it fail upon completing certain shit? Give me details, I don't mind spoilers.
I already explained it in the thread
The only other reference to space wolf is someone asking if they have to convince the eldar to let the space wolf join.
anon, he's just making shit up
Try space marine
I can't even walk back into the arena after the fight there. It takes me to the scene where you execute the comissar and the snake fricker and that's that.
You probably talked to the flesh crafter guy maybe, who knows google it.
Yo homie. You're supposed to roleplay a homie, homie.
If you homies kill white people police sheriff because you roleplay a homie that like to kill sheriff and then gangs rape you because sheriff dead then it's on you. It's called "roleplaying". As in, playing a role. With the world changing because of yo choices.
If you homie don't kill no sheriff chief, because you roleplaying a homie that doesn't kill no sheriff chief, then homie the gangs won't rape you. It's called "roleplaying". As in, playing a role. With the world changing because of yo choices.
Accept the consequences of yo choices homie.
>You can either have a very short game in which choices matter, which is intended to be replayed often, or a long game in which choices don't matter (much), which isn't intended to be replayed often.
What is short, and what is long? People sunk 100+ hours into Skyrim over weeks or months. Would it be better that it be spread out over one 100 hour playthrough or four 25 hour ones, where you have to make choices which lead you on different paths and replays are necessary to see it all?
>most people would rather not have games waste the time they invest in them.
Why is this an argument for one side or the other? Absence of choices with consequence is more about developers not wanting to spend time on things which some players won't experience rather than players.
>Anyway, I fell for the choices matter meme once with Mass Effect and since then learned that, no, they don't, and shouldn't.
It's funny you mention what players want and Mass Effect. The first Mass Effect marketing was premised precisely on the notion that you'd have to make time critical and rivalrous selections between which missions to pursue. Someone clearly determined that it was something consumers were interested in.
>They don't have to redo the game from earlier saves because one decision that doesn't in any way stand out completely changes the game and potentially ruins it later.
This is an attitude born of exactly the stagnant game design philosophies which are being criticized. If you're telling a dynamic and well written story where the narrative pivots and gameplay are properly integrated, the player's enjoyment comes from making their own decisions and dealing with what comes of them. There is no need to "redo" becase there is no "ruining". Ideally, you shouldn't be able to do so at all.
Yeah
sounds like lame cuckshit for nerds. no wonder BG3 is king.
These two got the gist of it
Basically, one thing which hasn't changed at all in 20+ years of game design is the basic mission/quest structure of games. Graphical stagnation is inconsequential compared to game design stagnation.
It makes the world feel real
The villain is not waiting for you in his room, he is acting, moving ahead, if you do x he will do y meanwhile
The future of all games is being plugged directly into a subscription-based AI whose sole purpose is to read wikis to you, ergo accelerating the constant need to follow a walkthrough creates the demand for the future that is inevitable.
The point of RPGs is making choices. No, you can't join every faction. No, you can't save everyone. Some things can wait, other's cannot. You have to choose
>>I suspect there's a time limit too
More games need this. Show that the world moves by itself and not just when you do something. Fallout did it over 20 years ago, all that it needs is to change from absolute fail state to something where you can still keep on playing it just gets increasingly harder.
Yeah yeah yeah
Act based CRPGs like Larian and Owlcat games are dog shit compared to the World freedom from "open world" CRPGs like Fallout/Underrail/Atom. You simply won't get that out of them, its a different niche. You play these more for the narrative and almost "vn" like expereince with more shallow RPG stuff on top.
>forwards
Yeah, if they had a loo in front of them.
>forwards
Fallout 1 already did this in 1997
Yes, and what does Fallout do now?
You dont fail quests, they just change
Bro...
>Now he's replying with his meme image to posts that have absolutely nothing to do with romance
Jesus christ
>ending
>meme image
Absolute state of owlkeks xD
literally every game they make has the MC cuck ed in the ending slides lmao
just fricking keep your fetish to yourself, why is it so hard
Or maybe they could keep their cuck fetish to themselves.
If you don't walk back into the arena after you leave, and instead do the logical thing which is to walk to the next area and talk with the flesh crafter, you instantly lose the space marine companion
Stop making generals on Ganker
Also play bg3 instead
BG3 is just homoerotica disguised as a game
>Most popular romance is a woman
AND WEREBEAR!
have you seen romantic scenes in this game? if they were actually animated instead of just described verbaly they'd put bg3 to shame
I got the same impression
Baldand Gay 3 is for degenerate homosexuals lol no wonder the zoomers love it
They made it so fricking homosexual that it won game of the year in "current year" and nobody can give it bad reviews without risking a hate crime charge.
>bear cuckoldry sim
Nah
>play bg3
No thats heresy
i've already played it. i enjoyed it. good game 6/10. will move up to 7/10 once they fix all the bugs.
But now i'm playing RT and there's nothing you seething hohol can do about it
>Its not like mass effect
>59/100
really
Neenio and Yrliet are both ACE romances and people can't deal with it.
That elf is never getting her ears stroked and that's a damned tragedy.
>physical contact
next you're going to try and hold her hand you filthy degenerate.
The correct answer is to hold her hand or resist yes?
Correct answer is to resist, but if you hold her hand it doesn't immediately end her romance unlike hugging and kissing her
It's not that she's asexual it's that they justify it poorly.
Also asexual people cuddle and hold hands. Not sure if you're aware of that.
You cannot provide a definition that every self-proclaimed "assexual" agrees upon so don't mix this garbage with something that has nothing to do with it.
I'm not the one that brought it up.
I'm merely saying even going calling it an asexual romance it's still normal people dislike the fact she doesn't even touch you.
Just like there's no definition of heterosexual that everyone identified as such agrees on, welcome to the blurry realm of human sexuality where every well is poisoned by the idea that there are any strict definitions in the first place.
>Just like there's no definition of heterosexual that everyone identified as such agrees on
Yes there is, it's attraction to the opposite gender
>blurry realm of human sexuality where every well is poisoned by the idea that there are any strict definitions in the first place
The only poisoned well here is your acceptance of Kinsey's unscientific and homosexual scale of sexuality
yrliet is not asexual. she's simply disgusted by your ape visage. she fricks the deldar just fine. Maybe she'll even allow you to hold her hand while they're going at it if you ask hard enough
what's so different about both races though? eldar have longer heads and pointy ears and that's about it
humans to eldar is what a Black person is to a white man
but humans can actually form functioning societies, and beat Eldar in wars. Black folk can't say the same.
they're beating you in culture war
as soon as the israelites fake money hyperinflates they will lose the culture war. All this Black culture is pushed for and paid by fake israeli money they print out of thin air.
løl
>t takes Opticon-22 five minutes to slowly hobble out of the room before the fight can actually start
i want a zora king meeewp sound mod when opticon is moving.
If the elves in your setting are a race of pretty humans than it stands to reason that some elves will find some humans pretty
yes, deldar find humans pretty enough. or at least frickable enough
drukhari would frick anything with a pulse and anything without as long as they think it can suffer
Nenio is reddit incarnate, of course she'd be asexual
>Yrliet
>Romance
>You fail quests if you go to one place first and vice versa
That's not a bad thing necessarily but what are you talking about?
Nothing, he's been getting about shit he's making up since the game's been released.
I'm not going to assume every criticism in the game is made up, and since I'm only halfway through the game I'm also not going to assume they could include fail states for quests depending on quest completion order or time.
For example, in act II they change events of both Janus, Kiava Gamme and Dargonus depending on order of approach.
>NOOOOOO I CANT 100% THE GAME IN ONE PLAYTHROUGH SO I CAN NEVER PLAY IT AGAIN
>NOOOOOOOOOOO
I haven't failed a single quest yet because of this reason.
>background chatter is literally church latin muttering very ill fitting catholic phrases like "Sursum Corda"
tsk tsk owlcat
you could have just gone with fun sounding bastardizations here and no one would bat an eye but you chose the lazy
I don’t understand this, the combat is fast paced. You start with good aoe options that let you handle all the chumps.
BG3 has so much more superior romance system and people to romance. It's the GOTD for reason
It's an Owlcat game, so I expect the only interesting romance to be locked behind DLC.
Therefore, I'll just play as a chaste Rogue Trader who keeps his crew in line and his only love is for the Trade.
too bad, you'll say one nice thing about the fish woman and then you'll be locked into a romance before you know it
Better than
>you like kittens too? lets have gay sex!
>Yrliet
>Hates physical contact because you are a disgusting human
>Soul melds with you
>Gives you her soulstone
>Physical contact is still a no no
>Leaves you and you die of old age
worse than ntr
Xenos are fricking scum. Rolling with my arab bawd.
>Cucks you with Marzahai
She is this game Shadowheart (is Marzahai Halsin?)
>>Soul melds with you
you her soulstone
This is way more intimate than physical touch but you stupid monkeighs can't comprehend that
My issue with it isn't her aversion to touch but her unwillingness to meet the RT midway
If she isn't asexual, and she learns to love the RT on the level eldar do, then given that we are engaging with her forms of intimacy to bridge the gap, she has to on some level engage with ours.
A relationship is reciprocal, especially one whose entire theme is understanding and bridging a gap.
That's the human-equivilent of marrying someone, refusing to take their last name, and seeking a sperm donor because your new wife is repulsed by you but sitll wants kids. At some point you've got to accept that you're not an Eldar (and never will be) and that she's a selfish b***h (and always will be).
>NOOOOOOOOOO I DON'T WANT MY DECISIONS TO HAVE CONSEQUENCES NOOOO SAVE ME TODDMAN
go play bing bing wahoo or cowaduty. sounds like crpgs are not for you. The fact that the order in which you tackle main quests changes the situation on the planets is one of the best things in this game
Has anyone played through Idira's questline. Does she get better?
no I kicked her of the ship after she gave a future reading which was probably a curse imo.
She can become super devout big E worshippeR
>Does she get better?
Yes, Argenta grants her the Emperor's Mercy
No clue, I had her dragged off to the black ships.
who knows, Argenta shot her in the head the first chance she got
wtf, Idira is actually cute looking here
Her concept art is pretty hot and I'm not even into blacks
is all the hate she gets because is black or because she is an unsanctioned psyker? either way she is a pretty good looking black character compared to all the other ones in recent video games
Mostly the latter, with the former being partly involved.
The first.
I knew some people on here who were so angry when she was introduced that they boycotted the game as Woke Trader.
it's because she's ugly
The real answer right here.
>aww you're so sweet unsanctioned psycho
>hello inquisition???
>.jpg
>is all the hate she gets because is black or because she is an unsanctioned psyker?
Both but more on the former for sure. Suffer not the Black person witch to live!
I think they touched her up for the release. I remember the beta version looking worse.
>Does she get better?
Oh yeah, she does get better...
You can space her
The only reason that b***h is even alive is because of being a diviner otherwise she'd be yeeted to the void
I'm just wondering if anyone did her questline. Seems like everyone just shoots her. I'll probably shoot her when I get that decision, but I'm still curious about her endings.
i'll try to persuade argenta not to shoot her, but if I fail i'm not gonna reload. In-universe justification is that a diviner is too useful to have and she warned me of shit several times
If you're playing psyker and pick the background where you accidentally did the same shit on another voidship, than you can swing it that way as well.
Your backgrounds actually matter?
Sometimes, but not in that case. It's more for in-character justification if you're RPing anyone not heretic.
No.
I picked pirate whatever as my origin and got some flavor text when I spoke to the follower of the void leader at the footfall
nothing big but still neat, I think I got a discount as well. Haven't gotten much farther
>Cassia's movement abilities work on turrets
Heh
Most attractive girl. Too bad her heart only has room enough in it for the Emperor.
Commissar without the stache.
the stache is the best part
>original tabletop has tons of interesting races
>game party is nearly all humans
every time
god damn
I had to drop down to Story mode to kil yremeryss
shameful dispray
God I fricking hate cuckgays
I wish I could kill them. I wish I could hang every single fricking one of them by their own goddamn entrails.
Based trips but don't fall for their bait, just let them circlejerk each other until they get tired
Theres no bait, you can prove us wrong, but its a fact that Yrliet and Cassia don't get a happy romance ending with RT, only Jae does
That's why I posted without replying
I hate them though. Every single thread. No matter how hard you remind them why they're wrong
Every thread
Every game
Every day
I want them dead anon. I want them to choke slowly and painfully.
Unironically get used to it, it's not that bad now because the game just came out so people are having fun actually talking about the fricking game
Once the hype dies down these threads are going to be nothing but shitposters
Who is guilty though?
Writers? Developers? People who buy this?
Maybe Owlcucks should stop buying owlcuck games (the games that heavily feature cuckoldry)
>rogue trader lady dies
>that scream/VA performance by Idira
holy, good voicework
Need help
Dark eldar told me to pick two last members for my party, but I can't find them
Also, do you need to convince him to let space wolf go free before he moves away?
>but I can't find them
both hidden under the spyglass icon at the Opera
>point of curiosity can move turrets
Gather em up and aoe em down boys
>Point of Curiosity/Notch of Purpose
>Perilous Ways
>CRANK Cass's WP up
Welp, I just beat every goddamn encounter there is. Love this shit.
Sisters... WHAT THE FRICK?
It's not that hard.
The forgefiends aren't as hard as the one from the ship.
Delphim hits hard but can be taken down with melta
Coincidentally you got a very good meltagun right before this.
Relax abelard could tank it
its not even a hard fight
it's not that hard
one of robots is half damaged
You have Casia who can aoe almost all of them there with single attack
At least on daring it was easier than it looks
Abelard, take these heretics down
Just did this and finished it before any enemy got to move. Arch militant with two Grand Strategist Officers is just beyond stupid, the final heavy bolter burst did 100 damage per shot.
Nevermind, this shit was REALLY easy even on Unfair.
Hardest battles for me were
>First space marine battle, was literally impossible until I lucked out and cassia was the first one to move instead of him
>janus eldars second(first depends on how you going) camp
>entire ch3 start(lowered difficulty because I fricked myself hard by collecting traumas there was no way to heal at start of it)
It's easier than it looks, as others said. Just don't use rapid fire weapons on delphim. Pic related, heavy bolter Argenta may have killed literally everything else in the room but she accidentally made him invincible(if I wasn't a pyromancer anyways)
It's owlcat, so it's woke as frick anyway. 40K with women warriors.
Women are really eating up the Dark Eldar/Inquisitor love triangle. Meanwhile, men are still whining about Yrliet, Jae, and Argenta. Why is that the case?
>Yrliet
No sex
>Argenta
No romance
>Jae
No one cares about her
We care about Jae now since she got the best ending
Let me rephrase that
>No one but shitposters that use Jae to bait care about her
That's better
>Cassia
swells up and leaves, cucks you, doesn't love you
Do people still believe the text edited ending?
>Leaves to be Novator and dies alone
>Leaves to be Novator and marries someone else
Heres your romance endings bro
"It's not edited; you can check the game files yourself. Or, you can choose to live in denial."
Compare the endings, and the answer should reveal itself.
>women are really eating a romance between an evil badboy that fricks them six ways to sunday and the broody but deep down sweet nerdy guy who's described as incredibly handsome
GEE I DUNNO ANON
>Men are really eating up a dommy mommy/shy trad wife love tiangle
Do you get it now?
No. I don't. Love triangles are by nature gay and moronic.
Average woman has 10+ sexual partners.
It makes no difference if it's one at a time or five at a time.
As I understand it there's not much of a love triangle. there's a jealousy event but it's the same regardless of whether you frick the elf, or, say, jae. Which is a goddamn shame, since jimmi should be fricking livid
>Women are really eating up the Dark Eldar/Inquisitor love triangle
stop lying, no woman is playing rogue trader
yes, yes, there are no girls on the internet. that anon is still correct though
No, because if there were women playing you'd already have seen fanart of the boys, yet there is none.
There's very little fanart in general. give a couple of weeks. Even then there will be little fanart because owlkeks are sorta niche. plus these games aren't popular in japan or china where 90% of fanart comes from
I guarantee you, you won't see any fanart of the boys. Jimmi doesn't appeal to women playing rpgs, and the evil slaver eldar gay appears too late and has no "redeemed through the power of pussy" route.
>has no "redeemed through the power of pussy" route.
no, but he has "hooked on human pussy" route, which is a next best thing
>still loves degenerate orgies and slavery
Hard sell
>For them it's more as long as the badboy shows their soft side to them.
Yes but the gaydar has no soft side
>Incidentally, you're wrong about Heinrix for that exact reason.
No the problem with Jimmi is that he's not a bad boy, he's a boring stoic nerd that reveals himself to be a sweet nerd if you romance him. It might work for some femcels if he wasn't physically unnatractive.
I know a lot more about them than you, even just looking at the daeransisters it's clear what owlcat's female demographic is
>I know a lot more about them than you
want me to post breasts :)?
no thanks I don't need to see a troony's manbreasts
lol, cope, virgin. you know nothing about women and you never will
yes yes, and you will never be a woman etc
What's your opinion of the female companions/romances?
I personally feel shafted with Yrilet
Anon... it's because that artwork is in black and white and not "coloured"
>What's your opinion of the female companions/romances?
>I personally feel shafted with Yrilet
no opinion because i'm not a lesbian, so the quality of those romances is not for me to decide. If only for a simple reason that I did not pursue them. I will tell you one thing though: I do not believe that you can call a relationship in which one person is disgusted by a mere thought of physical contact with another person a "romance". And clearly it's not just an eldar thing, since they have no problem having sex with each other
Stop insisting you're a woman without posting lips as proof
>No the problem with Jimmi is that he's not a bad boy, he's a boring stoic nerd that reveals himself to be a sweet nerd if you romance him. It might work for some femcels if he wasn't physically unnatractive.
>not a bad boy
>mysterious inquisitorial aid with dangerous psychic powers and on the cusp of corruption by chaos due to his less than clean actions
>Can literally be tender to him so he not only opens up but leaves his profession for you and also save him from chaos
>stated to be attractive even if it's due to biomancy
What are you even on? Did you pay attention?
If anything Jimmi is an actual "I can fix him" trope
no, he's the I can save him type. Those are close, but a bit different
He has an interesting storyline yes but he doesn't act like a bad boy, which doesn't make him one.
>stated to be attractive
He can be stated to be attractive as much as the writing wants, his portrait is in no way attractive in the same way Tristan, Daeran or even the gaydar are.
>his portrait isn't attractive
Says you. I think he's pretty handsome. No homo.
And he does act like a badboy
Motherfricker he's constantly interrogating you and giving you cold dangerous glances and the first few scenes you never know if it's an interrogation or a genuine conversation.
His goddamn introduction is him using biomancy to torture a guy.
There's exactly one fanfic up on ao3 about this game with any pairings tagged and it's Heinrix and it's got 27 chapters.
Motherfricker you're delusional.
>he's constantly interrogating you and giving you cold dangerous glances
I don't know, when you talk to him on the bridge game says that he looks at me warmly, and his reaction to everything i say is more akin to "wtf is she saying?"
That's after you've already broken him down a bit.
>Says you. I think he's pretty handsome. No homo.
He's definitely what men thinks an attractive man look like yes, but women will definitely prefer someone with softer facial features.
>And he does act like a badboy
No, he acts like a cold motherfricker which is different than a bad boy.
>There's exactly one fanfic up on ao3 about this game
Anon I don't think one whole fanfic proves anything about anyone besides the person that wrote it
>but women will definitely prefer someone with softer facial features.
Oh nononono bros who's gonna tell him?
don't argue with virgin who thinks he knows what women want and like better than women do
>and the evil slaver eldar gay appears too late and has no "redeemed through the power of pussy" route.
Women don't really care about fixing the badboy. For them it's more as long as the badboy shows their soft side to them.
Incidentally, you're wrong about Heinrix for that exact reason.
Both characters are pure femcel bait.
Both are written by the same (female) writer too
>Jimmi doesn't appeal to women playing rpgs
you know nothing about women
inb4 "troony"
wow a based wom-
>134 episodes of bg3
nevermind
Wow a crpg gayette played the biggest crpg of the year
i'd hoped someone that play rogue trader wouldn't be a baldur gay 3 fan but I guess that's too much to ask
someone who's trying to be a eceleb at that
not doing the popular thing is suicide for them so I don't know what he expected
>someone who's trying to be a eceleb at that
I don't think someone trying to be an eceleb would play crpgs on youtube, especially as a camless woman of all things
I dunno why, but I'm just glad it's not a vtuber
because they gave femoids what they wanted, made the 2 non shit girls have terrible, ass endings, and only gave the drunk gypsy aunt a proper ending
I honestly don't think relationships in 40k should have a happy ending. You get a moment of happiness in the bleakest setting imaginable, but it's ephemeral and the galaxy ultimately crushes it, usually through some sort of betrayal. Something like 1984 is how I'd imagine the ideal 40k romance playing out.
I wonder if this seering hate I have towards Owlcat shitposters is what it feels like to fall to Khorne
I hate every single shitter engaging in shitter talk so fricking much. I literally can't stand how much I hate them.
Play I Have No Mouth And I Must Scream. It's very therapeutic.
Seeing some extremely israeli practices from the people that seem to hate this game.
Killing a Govenor as a Crime Lord never felt so good. This game immerses you better into crime than GTA kek.
> update game
> fps on bridge goes from 72 locked to 50 stuttering
thanks owlcat
This is my first exposure to 40k who's the emperor and why is the imperium so grim if he's a god?
He's the single strongest psyker that has ever existed, 46,000 years old, hidden through most of mankind history and immortal. When everything went to shit in a handbasket (10,000 years ago), he took the reign to reunite mankind.
Pretty cool dude, hated Chaos with all his soul, wanted only to unite humanity and golden tomorrow for everyone. A tad patriarchal though.
Then some of his sons rebelled, he took a mortal wound, and was bought to the Golden Throne, an artifact that catalyzes his psychic power and keep him ````alive''''.
He's still ````alive'''', we know this because his psy powers are still active and protecting humanity, certainly not because he appears conscious. During that time a whole religion (which he despised) was created around him, making him the God Emperor of Mankind, Him on Terra, the Protector of Mankind. He would have been horrified.
Issue is, with the warp as it is, the belief that he is the God Emperor of Mankind is probably the only thing keeping humanity alive at this point. It's literally "magic is belief", and when everyone believes you're a God, and real Gods want to eat your soul, then you don't have a choice.
I wonder how the Imperium will react when Empy wakes up.
bro he aint ever waken up he is too powerful
>own emperor model with his own army
>army name: emperor
>abilities. roll 1 or above to win (or make a whole legion of space marines kneel)
As a side note, reason he lasted so long is because he's an eternal and resurrects after death, don't think anyone knows this but it does bring up the possibility that if they could hold the warpway gate (that demons are attempting to use to overrun earth/Terra) long enough to pull him out of the throne so he dies and resurrects he might be able to actually start doing shit again, but with the power bump of marinating in the warp for 10000 years
He's a 10000 year old super powered psychic who uses his powers to create a psychic beacon that makes space travel easier. But because he's so old he is on permanent life support like god-king huon from runestaff. When he finally kicks the bucket in a few thousand years long distance space travel won't be safe anymore and a warp rift that he's been holding closed will open on earth letting in chaos demons. Also since he's basically a skeleton on a chair he is really just a figurehead and the high lords of terra hold all the real power.
Nice propaganda, the Emperor IS A GOD
>why is the imperium so grim if he's a god
The universe is so grim that being a god is not enough to make everything good.
21:35+, also the origin of the emperor in this video is just a theory i believe
My fricking sides.
Oh god I did that fricking kino ship event after this, goddamnit lmao. That's pure soul.
Do grenades count for Arch Militant versatility?
I'm going noble officer. Where should I put my points? I was thinking 2 points in fellowship, ballistics and agility.
If you are going Grand Strategist FEL INT AGI, if you are going Vanguard then FEL TGH WS, if Master Tactician then FEL BS PER.
That makes sense. Thanks.
Can somebody explain the fellowship skill to me? I am clueless what it does and when I should level it.
Fellowship is essentially Charisma.
>Cassia in team
You didn't beat the game
I won't stop using my fishfu because of your fromsoftware autism
Princess forma de Navigator
I must not know how to build her, my Cassia is pretty bad, she orders people and gives them temporary wounds but thats pretty much it
Navigator abilities
If you see Navigator talents/abilities – just pick them. Cassia is a bit OP, especially after you make her a master tactician (which is bugged, making press the advantage not lose stacks after attacking, allowing you to reach about 400% increased damage in prolonged fights) and get that one trinket from pirates that gives x2 WP bonus damage to all Navigator powers. She also regenerates quickly, scales her dodge with perception, max HP with willpower and all the saving throws with willpower too.
>Master Tactician
I know this is the best way, but I just said frick it, made her a Grand Strategist for the guaranteed first turn (combat zones are fricky, but they're nice little perks for your backline I guess).
Makes tossing out Point of Curiosity/other Navi zone powers much nicer for the first turn.
So is Plasma just shit?
The fact that you can't rotate the zones is fricky.
>The fact that you can't rotate the zones is fricky.
It's not fricky, it's downright moronic. Owlkek can't get thsi shit right. Also, about plasma weapons, give a 2h one to Pascal. You won't be disappointed.
Yeah but he can do the same thing with any gun the damage all comes from operator stacks.
>and get that one trinket from pirates that gives x2 WP bonus damage to all Navigator powers
What trinket.
Sold by Ryzza
that's busted
No shit, it doubles or even triples her damage.
>act first because grand strategist
>pull enemies together
>make enemies kill each other
>get double willpower boost
>order Argenta to nuke the survivors
>run to cover on the other side of the map
>Can't shoot up or down
>Enemies can and will lock you out of ladders because of this
moronic game
>bg3 vs rt nonsense
I just play both. Currently RT since it's new, but going to do another BG3 playthrough after
Basado
>See Naval officer female portrait and character model in beta
>Think they look rad as hell, can't wait to see the male version
>It's objectively worse
>He's not even wearing the hat or cape and has about 3 medals total
Frick you Owlcat.
The female one also got an overhaul and looked much better then it originally did.
>Frick the elf
no Argenta romance is fricking stupid. She was built for RT dick and bearing his children.
No time for chidren while there are still heretics left to burn
>waah why won't the bad guys just wait around until I want to do the quest
>It makes no difference if it's one at a time or five at a time
Observe the roast and laugh
How is Jae in the end? All I heard about her was people thought she was ugly and a prostitute, does she get better or is she shit all the way through?
best ending of all females
She's boring and a prostitute, but homosexuals like
are latching onto her to shitpost
Must be sad living in pure delusion
She's still shit. Her best ending is just
>She stopped being a prostitute and became your waifu
Nobody wants used goods.
>Ignoring how some of the most popular romance options in crpgs are non-virgins
Name some.
Viconia, Morrigan
>crpg
>Morrigan
Lived in a swamp hut with an overbearing mother and is a known blowhard putting on a facade.
>Viconia
Aerie was infinitely more popular.
So, still waiting.
>It's a "Morrigan is a virgin I swear!" episode
Kek, okay anon, nevermind
I mean you started making shit up. Still waiting on some of those romance options you mentioned by the way.
Well I could mention Arueshalae since we're in an owlcat thread, but judging your previous post your answer is probably going to be that she's a newborn virgin or that Galfrey is more popular (both wrong)
>using owlcat games to justify owlcat moronation
k
It's amazing how well he predicted your shit.
Explain Shadowheart then. Recent, most popular by actual official metrics. And most definitely not a virgin.
I romanced Shadowheart but felt absolutely zero attachment to her. Should've picked the frog I guess.
Not the point, try reading the reply chain before replying
>Aerie was infinitely more popular
Black person what
How old are you
Probably older than you.
>Morrigan
b***h if you follow morrigan's "friendship" path as a guy she outright says she was physical intimiate with other males before
>Aerie is infinitely more popular
no she is not wtf are you smoking?
Viconia was always more popular
She also has banter with Leliana where she talks about the things her mother expected of her (fricking other men) which is funny considering her said Flemeth was an "overbearing mother"
I played Origins more times than I can count and she literally never speaks of any such thing. As I said, it becomes abundantly clear from playing the game (and romancing her) that she is an insecure, socially maladjusted woman who is putting on a front of being a tough b***h, when in reality she knows frick all about the world or how to interact with people. And that includes sex. Recall her trying to tease Sten and then backing off scared when he appeared to actually take her up on her offer of kinky times.
>Viconia was always more popular
Cope.
I honestly thought these posts were peak cope, but then I saw a Lelianagay that thought she was a virgin
If those kiddos were even alive back when BG2 was released and their knowledge wouldnt amount to some youtube loremasters, they would know that finishing Aerie or Jaheira romance was almost impossible.
BG2 scripts are buggy as hell even today.
lol
lmao even
No one knows about this dialogue because everyone picked her
You don't HAVE to see it, she has banter with Leliana where she talks about not being a virgin, and above all else, just by looking at her personality you can tell she's not one
These morons are just in denial, that's all, they'll see this screenshot and pretend it never happened
>Aerie was infinitely more popular.
No she fricking wasn't what the frick are you on?
Viconia was always the most popular female character to the point people wrote an entirely new ending for her for Throne of Bhaal
Morrigan mentions being with guys "physically" if you don't romance her until much later.
Leliana > Morrigan btw
Lmao no
Nta, but its plausible.
Blowharding is something she does frequently and ger entire arc is the realization that she's not as well lived and experience in life as she makes herself look and in fact might the most innocent of companions
I don't think it was the the writer's intention, but Gaider is a gay that constantly tries to retcon his work, so frick him
>Viconia
Only romance that wasn't bugged as hell.
>Morrigan
Other option was assasin-prostitute.
compared to Leliana Morrigan was pure
Dream on, cuck.
Tales of Arise was ONLY popular because we got pure, virgin waifu.
The issue isn't being a virgin or not, the issue is broadcasting all the sex you used to have as pillow talk and then the dialogue options being
>it's totally fine babe, good even (continues romance)
>that's kinda shit pillow talk babe (ends romance)
She's the best girl and fishgays/nungays/elfgays can't stop seething about her ending being the only non cuck non ntr ending
he doesn't know about the ending where you turn Yrliet into your loyal pet xenos wife if you have her kill the farseer. She dies of human sickness in the end but she ever leaves you willingly.
Did I frick it up by giveing her lashes?
no, you fricked up by believeing everything you read on 4chins. there is no classic "and they lived happily ever after" for yrliet, or for marazhai. or for cassia. and you know why? Because they are not human. Turns out the race is NOT just skin deep and it DOES matter a lot. Conicidentlly the only two characters you can get a classic happy ending with are jimmi and jae, who are normal honest to god humans just like you, jimmi's psyker abilities notwithstanding. It's unironicall a cool social commentary. the kind I did not expect to see in a current year. Whether it was intentional or not is another matter. I think it was
no idea, I just had her apologize to all the humans it was very funny. Did you have her kill the farseer? Also what happened when you had them lash Yrliet. I am interested to know.
Nothing, the humans are semi satisfied and the scene ends. Do you get a conversation with yerlit after you make her apologize?
she just thanks you for not lashing her, and says your the only person she cares about in the universe now. Argenta and henrix says that its not enough that she just apologizes.
>Argenta and henrix says that its not enough that she just apologizes.
>the only reasonable people in the entire game are a religious fanatic and a half-corrupted glowie who tortures people for a living
the absolute state of this rogue trader's retinue
How do I get there?
the great filterer
pfff ahahah
the bizarre thing is the fps loss only happens on the bridge, did they break something while trying to fix the annoying sounds on the ship?
>journos love bg3, allegedly for the combat
>hate rogue trader for its combat, which is exactly the same
hmm
could it have something to do with gay sex, or the lack thereof
Could you shut the frick up about Baldurs Gate maybe?
I have a friend who loves bg3 but doesn't like rogue trader for combat, he says bg3 is more fluid and impactful
BG3 is less tactical, RT's combat is better.
>exactly the same
>guns
>"""RPG"""
>square grids
>"""""""TACTICAL""""""""
>exactly the same
Just because you wait your turn in both doesn't mean it's the same.
BG3's combat IS better. Journos are still gays though, Rogue Trader is pretty good by CRPG standards. Certainly much better than Pathfinder.
Awful bait. BG3 combat is way better.
Honestly i give props for RT not being the same garbage tryhard shit like Wotr and Pathfinder is. I thought that there is nothing that could make Owlcat to stop being a mouthbreather but apparently Games Workshop are the ones who can curb their autism. Timed quests are probably something that slipped through the cracks of their overseers that will be patched later. They do tend to do stupid shit like thisthey did it with Kingmaker and WOTR as well
Nothing about this game is different from WOTR and I refuse to believe you actually playedf WOTR or KM
Stop repeating shitty memes about the games and actually play them.
Also there's nothing wrong with timed quests.
>Nothing about this game is different from WOTR
The gameplay isn't ass, for one. Probably the worst CRPG in terms of gameplay I played next to PS:T.
It's the same fricking type of gameplay.
Turn based with isometric grid.
This game functions heavily on buffs too. To play on the harder difficulties you still need to buff and use support abilities heavily.
>switch to turn based mode
I'll give you that. KM had no turn based on release. But why would you ever fricking stay in non turn based for WOTR? You had that shit available from fricking launch anon.
The game gave me option to go non turn base and if you get random encounters you expect the enemies to be fodder not that they need your full attention.
I did finish KM because my autism wouldn't let me say how bad i found the difficulty in Owlcat games are if i didn't finish it, and against all my better judgment i bought WOTR and dropped it after getting to the village because i had to switch to turn based mode on every goddamn random encounter. If you aren't a pathfinder senior and know that you have prebuff every encounter it becomes a tiring and unfun game.
I know you probably expected me to back down because morons here really do parrot whatever their discord mod say to shitpost about but in this case i know what i am talking about
Do you like the space combat in Rogue Trader?
Owlcat needs to stop wasting so much time on their shitty side modes. Kingdom management was shit, Crusade management was only barely better and the ship combat is shit.
They like them so no, they're never going away
Yes and no
>take this to eventually ignore deflection
>breaking 100 is an absolute b***h to do
Let me know the secrets of maxing perception.
Psykers and officers can increase your stats by a lot, also operatives precise attack increases perception.
Voice of command (heroic act edition) + Idira's mental buff
You start with 30, can get 10 if you go imperial world or 5 for fortress, can get 30 more from all potential stat level ups, cover trait from operative gives 15, can take 5 from a common talent, diviner power Prescience can get you another 5-10 or so, Voice of command gives a big buff to all stats. That's just what I can think of off the top of my head, there's other talents, items, and buffs too.
Have you modded any of the companion portraits yet?
I miss the comfy pre-release talks about Eldar lore, back before people still had hope for Yrliet. Just feels like a waste now.
>before
*when
Why are people becoming more autistic than even the Eldar over this? She gives you her Soulstone, you'd be able to touch her then as well as any other humiefricker like her. Honestly headcanon that shit with how much of a gay the wrtier was here.
>implying I haven't already headcannoned everything
I do get people are b***hing to much, but again personally I just find it's a bit disappointing that a romance with the theme of bridging the gap between human and eldar has so little reciprocation on the eldar's part. I feel that's a missed chance.
>romance
Doesn't have a romance.
It's not the romance stuff, it's the Act 3 stuff. They didn't really fix her 'twist'. People were mad before, are already mad now, and as more people get to it they'll start getting mad too.
This was probably the only chance we'll ever get of officially getting an eldar wife in a 40k videogame and Yrliet's writer decided to go full moron and frick it all up with the no touching allowed shit and the awful endings.
No even that, they had a chance to just make a good Eldar character and instead made a colossal moron who's most likely going to make people just hate Eldar.
It honestly feels like GW stepped in when they saw she was popular in the Alpha.
Yeah, I remember the alpha days when Yrliet was super popular and anons were excited about having an eldar companion. Such a shame what they did to her
>It honestly feels like GW stepped in when they saw she was popular in the Alpha.
I'd laugh if that was the case.
Where did the alpha end anyway. Beta ended when you escaped deldar town right?
Alpha ended with talking to the Lord Inquisitor. We only knew about Commoragh through datamines at that point.
I still like eldar. clowns are of course the best. followed by dark eldar and corsairs, and then everyone else
gogbros should i be worried?
Should have used the offline version
So if I want to melee is warrior my only option?
Soldier is good for melee too.
Pretty much. You can pick different origin or advance class though.
Is gog patch out? See it on the db, but no links around.
Perhaps I should just abandon the dreams of being a main damage dealer and respec into an officer to turbocharge Cassia even further...
How do people get these insane numbers on Cassia?
I'm happy when her gaze does 35 damage and I don't know what part of my build is holding her back so much
Will power stacking from extra turns and the press the advantage on tactician is bugged in a way that works to her advantage. But I think the tactician thing was patched yesterday.
same, but i gave her a flamer with a gooditem for it that gives extra burn.
1) Pick up all Navigator talents
2) Buy Tome of the Void from pirates (increases psychic phenomena chance which does nothing for Cassia but it gives her +2xWP bonus damage on all powers)
3) Become Master Tactician
4) Equip an infusing staff (gives stacking bonus to all stats when you use navigator buffs)
4) In combat use a Willpower buff every turn, give a few turns to allies, then press the Press the Advantage button to give yourself shittons of stacking damage boost
5) Destroy everything
WHAT THE FRICK DOES THIS Black person THINK HE'S DOING!??!?!?!?!?
WHY DOES HE RUN INTO MY PARTY AND TRY TO SHOOT THE ENEMY?!?!
He's blinded by your RTs magnificence anon. Give the redshirt a break
>gift Cassia a library and confess
>walk up to talk to her and it has the dialogue option to talk about the gift as if I didn't already do that
Am I bricked now? If I just ignore it is it gonna be fine?
update your game, bro. they've supposedly fixed it in the latest patch
>Guy confesses to being bamboozled by Voigtvir into accusing the other house
>Promise him some leniency
>The only choice is the execute the entire house
what the frick thats not how I roll
>character just freezes mid-animation during combat
What do?
Open and close the bug report.
>enemies turn in combat
>they suddenly enter a idle animation, slide across the floor and stand there for 1 full minute
The perils of the warp are beyond human comprehension
Switch weapon sets, seems to always work for me.
>starrok on why their games are buggy
I love the bit about
>well do you want more reactivity and items or not?!
We're rolling out a 400+ fix patch tomorrow. Before new year, there will be 1-2 more patches. Hopefully that should solve most of the issues you guys have. We've improved the launch state of the game over previous projects, but sadly there's still ground for improvement.
To be frank with you, it happens because until very late into development, we simply can't resist squeezing yet another dialogue/npc/item/talent/feature into the game. Everyone on the team is extremely passionate about what they do, and way too often they feel they need to add this one (of course the last one!) finishing touch to make the game better. No matter how long the development lasts.
It's a bad practice, we know, and we've frozen EVERYTHING (and this time really everything) and went for "bugfixing only" phase earlier than we did for Wrath, but it still wasn't enough, apparently.
I know many of you would love to have the game cleaner on launch, but I'm rather curious to hear what would you choose if you knew that'd come at the cost of mercilessly cutting some (maybe about 5-10%) items, dialogues, talents, customization options, reactivity choices and so on.
Bullshit. Act 4-5 state is inexcusable.
> I'm rather curious to hear what would you choose if you knew that'd come at the cost of mercilessly cutting some (maybe about 5-10%) items, dialogues, talents, customization options, reactivity choices and so on.
would sure be fricking nice if they just delayed and we got both, huh???
>pistols arch militant
This shit is obscene, I think I just made 5 shots during usual officer 2ap turn. I'm not even sure where do some attacks even come from. Maybe it's bugged.
It must be, I think FlashFire gives you attacks it shouldn't when paired with duel fighting? I don't know but I have experienced it too.
Don't even have flashfire yet, just got to tier 2 archetype and got one active ability.
It's just
>1 attack from never stop shooting (stacks very fast because pistol reload costs 0 ap)
>1 from wildfire
>1 normal
>1 costs 0 ap because of item that gives this effect if pistol attack crits
>more from ???
It might be fricked somewhere in there, but still, it's busted even on paper.
Wildfire / FlashFire what ever. The one that gives you attacks for free based on versatility. 0 ap attacks don't actually mean the attack is free, just that it costs no ap. Anyway I think it bugged because after I use it I always get multiple additional attacks on abalard and not agi. But the only difference is abalard has duel weapon fighting
Whats your origin? One of them gets a chance to take a free shot.
I've encountered the same thing with arch militant but it's Argenta using a multi-melta
One shot costs 3 AP and she has 5 AP by default so of course I fire 4 AoE shots during my turn, reload, use her heroic for 4 more single target shots and reload again. All in one turn
She killed so many poxwalkers during the occluding sphere mission I have no idea how the math adds up like that
The only limiting factor to her damage is how tightly packed together enemies are
Dual pistols?
I mean off the top of my head if you're running soldier + arch militant
>run and gun
>dual weapon combat if you fire both run and gun shots from the main hand
>the arch militant heroic act gives you free attack and makes the first attaack of a turn 0AP
>the heroic act from soldier gives you 3 attacks
Reminder any extra attack action always fire from the main gun and you should theoretically always be able to end the turn on an attack from the offhand, assuming you've got AP left
Now pair this with dual bolt pistols and the amulet that makes all single shot bolt attacks 100% hits, and you get to have some fun. Watching elfshits dodge into a bolt to the brain is sastisfying.
Running plasma pistols currently, however I think with then next common talent I would go with 1 bolt/1 plasma for consistent single shots and either single target burst or aoe depending on demand, + long range weapon in 2nd slot
I personally keep 2 bolt pistols and a melta gun if I need it.
>still can't rotate GS's zones
WHAT THE FRICK ARE YOU VODKABlack folk DOING?????
>still can't rotate GS's zones
Grand Strategist would still suck given how none of the talents are worth taking
That's why you pair it with Cassia who wants to spend all her talents on Navigator stuff.
i just do it for rp reasons primarily, ok?
>i just do it for rp reasons primarily, ok
honestly same, I'm just salty that the archetype feels like such an afterthought
>go do jae's quest
>need 2 seals
>already found one
>the quest can't be completed because the game wants me to find it again
epic
?
You can't get any of seals before you take the quest
If you are talking about finding old one on the ship, then you need to talk with Abelard's daughter about it
>mfw there's a warp event where you get jumped in your quarters
As a grand strategist who spends most of his turns buffing Argenta, my reaction was pretty much going SAVE ME ABELARD.
Lol same. He was the first through the door and was able to reach me.
>Abelard charging through a thousand cultists to save me as I get gangbanged (not in a good way) by daemonettes
In my defense I took out one of them.
This is why you should go heretic, warpstorms just become gas station quickies.
needs an edit
God, I wish you got that warp event more often. Playing a pyromancer and its so much fun to have an excess of targets
And who brought them in? Lower deck rabble
Every event telling you to mass-execute them was justified
I keep getting locked as an officer in that event lmao
Is the Imperial Navy supposed to level so slow? I'm about to start Dargonus and it's still level 0. And yes, I've been moving the trophies from the inventory to cargo.
New Toybox version out, for those of you that want to keep it recent
>cassia tells me we have to break up
>ask her to marry me
>she agrees
>can't talk about it again
What are the odds that Yrliet was going to have a traditional romance but GW stepped in and demanded Owlcat to change it, so we ended up with the weird platonic stuff we have now?
Honestly zero, I think.
If they had deferred to GW about it there is a chance we wouldn't even have muh soulstone mindmelts.
That shit smells like a writer wanting to keep his baby pure.
I think eldar romance is mostly original because it's not just a repeat of old lore.
Meanwhile sm, sister and mechanicus not getting anything probably means they were shut down by gw.
Is there any niche not filled by companions?
Not really but you shouldn't do much officer leveling with Cassia, so that role will be free until Jae appears.
Should Rogue Trader have been RTWP?
No. KYS for asking.
have a nice day
Eww no I'm glad that cursed combat system is gone
live
Yes it's better and requires more skill than TB in every way
i was watching some youtube videos and noticed in character creation that the person had 3 voidships to choose from i only had one am i missing something?
>Start act 4
>it tells me to go to other planets
>non of them are visible
>softlocked out
>wait for patch
>patch bricked the entire save
I just wanted to play the new content...
The system took a bit of getting used to, but the combat is rather rewarding. Footfall upped the difficulty a level with stronger melee enemies and stun grenades. Giving Cassia the trait that ups her WP every time there's a free turn and constantly giving Argenta more turns is a fun combo. Pasqual I most likely need to retool as he's far too slow and useless for me.
The Owlcat classic of bugs on launch should be rightfully called out. However, the game is more fun than WotR for me. More fun to play and explore. I do hope that they get enough sales out of this to allow a DLC or two more, maybe a sequel if we're greedy. It's a good game and those are rare for WH40K.
>forget to add gay sex scenes
>lose 50 points off your score
I change my mind, Operative/Assassin is the best.
Did you purify Kiava Gamma or not?
The better question is why wouldn't you?
I haven't reached it yet, I already did Janus and the capital but Kiava Gamma is seriously far out of the way
I've located it though and am only a few jumps away now
>complete a tier 3 project in a colony
>quest to complete a max difficulty project still doesn't finish
what? is it bugged or are there higher levels? I don't see anything else
There is tier 5 in chapter 4
Aw man; I almost miss the constant clanging on the bridge.
>act 2
Agri world or industrial world first?
just b yourself`
Agriworld has a companion to unlock.
Industrial is as hard as act 2 gets, especially if you do it last
This boards obsession with Baldurs Gate is hilarious. I can't go into any thread without some homosexual crying about it.
The natural state of the xenophile.

>t. Robot Girlyman
Fun fact; Tallarn has sworn vows of friendship with Biel Tan.
this makes no sense
Cursus War.
>Ancient Chaos artifact under Tallarn's surface wakes up
>Eldar sense is, Biel Tan dispatches a warhost to destroy it before it can activate
>Rush too hard and get into a fight with Tallarn since they can't take the time to pick out the cultists from the Guardsmen
>Tallarn fight hard enough to stall the Eldar, causes Chaos artifact to wake up and start vomiting Daemons across the planet
>Biel Tan and Tallarn realize they need to work together to survive, start cooperating
>Artifact falls back asleep, both groups manage to last it out together
>Eldar give Tallarn the devices to shut down the artifact for good, then collect their dead and leave after swearing the vows
>Tallarn use the devices then cave in the chamber the artifact was in for good measure
Honestly, the Imperium waging war against the Eldar or the Tau is just nonsensical
There's a dozens different forces out there who are stronger and more numerous and whose goal isn't conquest or expansion but domination
I don't think they need to need friends or whatever, but it's moronic not to have a pact of non aggression with the civilized xenos
Based Legionnaire.
Based Tallarn and anti-Redditor
Based Vostroyan and Eldarchad.
Also frick me, I was not expecting that in the Smuggler's hideout, much scarier than the damn Drukhari/Chaos jumpscares.
Combat was more fun earlier in the game, now I'm so overpowered that it's not engaging. And I haven't even been doing anything cheesy, just picking what seems fun, even suboptimal in some cases
so I fricked the fish, does this lock me out of the Yrliet romance?
No
I guess, I will marry Cassia, and still romance Yrliet. Feels good. Yrliet when we soul bond can see very detailed how I fricked Cassia.
>
There's a choice point like with every game of theirs.
Yrliet's rejection dialogue is pretty chill, she doesn't take it very hard
Cassia just shuts down but in a very dignified manner.
Didn't mean to quote the loredump on Emps there.
No lock outs. Owlcat always pull those
"decide on which romance will continue" triangle or multiangle? events.
Until then, do as you want.
When do you get the option to frick the fish?
I feel like there are two ways to 'court' her: by the book or a bit more romantic.
And I've already met her family. DId I frick up somehow? Or is it later on?
making Cassia my wife.
chap3 or chap2?
after chap 3. This is at the start of chapter 4.
Oh, all good then. Thought maybe it bugged out for me.
Okay Cassia just agreed to my marriage. Were people lying by saying no ending has you marry her?
Just keep going cuck boy LMAO
nah im going the marrying pet xenos Yrliet ending. But I think I will marry Cassia on the side cause frick it why not.
i'm her first tho.
Dream on, dream on, dreeeeeeeam onononon
>fact checked by the brave players who've played into Ch3
There is one Black person dedicated to shitposting these threads editing images and basically just saying whatever he thinks will convince you that all romances except jae will lead you to getting cucked somehow.
Don't do it Lord Captain! She can't have your babies!! I saw the future.
Think of the von Valancious lineage!
Trap option, it's a political marriage and you don't see each other for years
I'm romancing Yrliet so It doesn't matter for me. Cassia will be my side marriage.
>first colony event
>it's being attacked by drukhari
>enter battle
>it's 6 drukhari ships with 220hp and 0.25x hit rate shields that spawn attack craft every turn
t-thanks
>Some b***h techpriest starts a fight on my ship
>It takes Opticon-22 five minutes to slowly hobble out of the room before the fight can actually start
I laffed when it happened. When the fight ends he hobbles the way back at the same speed
I hope they don't patch this, it was hilarious standing there squaring up with the guy for a solid 5 minutes while this geriatric frick hobbles out of the way.
Are there any good closed helmets? So far i haven't seen more than the classic open imperial guard helmet.
clearing a warp encounter should lower the route's difficulty rating by 1.
Probably not, but would be nice if there was some kind of build-up meter for navigation points.
This seems busted.
Its not.
What's busted about it? Crit damage, not crit chance, so it's useless.
You can easily get crit chance to insane levels with some buffs to argenta or yrliet
Yes but damage dealing characters will never enjoy a high lore:imperium to make it worth it and the ones that can don't do enough damage to justify trying to build them for more damage.
Hardly, At a certain point (late act 2, act 3 onwards) your crit chance is so high that you're really fiending for crit damage. Hell, arch militants get 100% crit chance on every attack at the cost of reducing the damage so you REALLY want crit damage on those frickers.
just refunded it, before patch my fps was locked 60, after the fps on bridge went all the way to 20, and is just on the bridge too. if with every fix they end up breaking something else, it's just not worth it
You should pray to the Omnissiah more. Works on my cogitator.
>What heretek does to a mf
Say what you want, but I always find the
>seemingly stoic man who only is only emotional around (you)
the more attractive romantic choice in these games.
yeah, melting the ice is hot as frick
stupid question but where do i get the free dlc items?
When can I turn Yrliet into the Inquisition? After I complete Janus?
Even before, Jimmi will chastise you for even bothering talking to her.
The only option I had on first contact was to kill her on the spot. I want to give her to the Inquisition.
Then just complete Janus.
Jimmi likes taking care of things, praise the future master of whispers of the ship.
stupid jimmi doesn't realise that it's all part of my keikaku to hook and reel him into my bed
I'm pretty sure he's aware of that
>"I have not forgotten, Heinrix. I just enjoy baiting you too much."
>Slowly, Heinrix draws close to your face, almost close enough to violate the rules of propriety. "You have succeeded spectacularly in that. But you haven't considered what happens when I've finally had enough of your provocations and I..."
>Catching himself, Heinrix clears his throat and takes a step back, breaking eye contact. His usual impassive expression returns. "Thank you, Rogue Trader. I see no reason to detain you any longer."
His romance should end with a frickfest where you spend like two weeks straight locked into your bedroom thanks to biomancy.
>thanks to biomancy.
no refractory period 🙂
>unlimited stamina
>who needs food
>unlimited sperm production
And if your Rt is a psyker too the ship was probably destroyed due to veil corruption events that would make irida blush.
>And if your Rt is a psyker too the ship was probably destroyed due to veil corruption events
You are joking, but that sort of shit is actually lore-conform.
Navigator and Ship-astropath banging under TotallyNotSpice™ drugs, until he has to kils her because they cause a deamon incursion
sperm production
imagine the creampies
Imagine being the servitor in charge of wiping the floor.
Considering that he finally snaps in fricking Commorragh of all places, or alternatively almost goes crazy over you if you don't take him into act 3, this is pretty much a reality at this point
>or alternatively almost goes crazy over you if you don't take him into act 3
oh is that like the colphyr mines in wotr? those you don't take are locked out?
Nah he still snaps and fricks RT on the table
But Commorragh is objectively better rp-wise
>better rp opportunities
vs
>table sex
Now that I've beaten the game... What do I think about Theodora
Best breasts in the sector.
You think she was an incredibly bad rogue trader considering the mess she left for you to deal with.
she was a moronic boomer just like in real life. She chased short term profits until it caught up to her and then just left the mess to her kids. Sorry about all the Black folk, and the debt son but at least you have iphones.
I'm going to leave a fully independent iconoclast galaxy sector protected by my own son-god who's at war with the imperium after my own death who am I to judge her
>He is still mortal by the end of the game
You failed
Bros your a fricking rogue trader, you can have as many kids as you want
Are arch-militants any good? Having a character jump from ranged to melee and so on sounds kinda fun.
They are very good.
You don't have to alternate between ranged and melee if you don't want to. Single hit/shot and area attacks count as different for the purposes of versatility.
Why couldnt this sexbomb be a companion?
She's a governor.
Don't care. Every breedable female in this game should join my harem
You know thkse big jungle cats out in the woods on Janus? She fricks those.
Why are bad women so hot?
Needs to be bigger
She fricks dogs
Segz with heretics
what's with this game and striped pants? I've noticed there are a lot of them
makes the ass look fatter
Influence from a better Empire
>implants on cats
for what purpose?
To keep them around longer, all those people will/have lived 100+.
>all those people will/have lived 100+.
Thats if they don't get buttfricked by all the horrors of the 40k setting.
Live-link of watching your cat hunt and spy on the servants while at it sounds more interesting than 21st century influencer clowns at least.
>Episode 66
Same reason why humans have so many implants.
Much longer and more dangerous life
>Female Rogue Trader wears heels
All is right in the world
I unironically plan on creating a hireling and pretending my heretic took her along when I leave Janus.
If you can take shitters like Jae or Betra-yliet into party, why not her?
>cuckfarmer on suicide watch because nobody believes his fakes
Awww!
I wonder what the eldar think of humanity's skull obsession
Barbaric probably.
As if the eldar don't make architecture with their dead
They don't. Wraithbone isn't real bone, it's a psyco-active plastic.
They do. It's the soulstones not the wraithbone
Spirit stones aren't architecture, they're living batteries.
THEN WHY IS IT CALLED WRAITHBONE
IT INVOKES THE DEAS TWICE IN IT'S NAME
Because it looks like bone and has somewhat ghostly Warp properties.
That trailer is still the purest form of 40Kino.
Shame about the game itself
Because the warp is full of spirits and they use warp energy to build. They build with the bones of wraiths.
>let it rot in the ground or get consumed by demons
>turn it into a nice ship helm that's stronger than steel
Honestly seems better.
> WHAT?! MY DECISIONS HAVE ACTUAL CONSEQUENCES?! I CAN'T JUST BLITZ THROUGH THE GAME MINDLESSLY?! OH GOD... SAVE FROM MY OWN AUTONOMY BETHES-UBISOF-EA-SAMA! LOCK ME BACK ONTO THE RAILROAD! NO, NO! THE NARRATIVE HAS FLOWN OFF THE TRACKS! SOMEONE HELP, MY TINY BRAIN CANNOT HANDLE HAVING THIS MUCH CONTROL, AIIIEEEEEEEEEEE!!!
Ie. u r dum n gay.
Etc, etc, etc.
>You fail quests if you go to one place first and vice versa
oh no, not the consequences of my actions
I know you are baitng but I don't think it's unreasonable to not want to miss large chunks of content because you dont want to play a 100 hour game twice.
This might be the only RPG where I hate levelling up. Every combat I need to pick another talent from a list of like 30 for six different characters
>homosexuals caring about romance in the grim darkness of the 41st millennium.
Why the frick are you even playing this game?
By murdering rebels while doing cute side romance events in between.
>cute
>grim darkness
You should be welded to the side of a macrocannon shell and fired into the reactor of a traitor ship.
>noooo there's no happiness or respite only misery
>happiness or respite
Happiness is in victory, respite is when the enemy reloads. You're fighting a war for your souls. Cease your heretical homosexualry for it carries the stench of chaos and is the door in which it infects your being.
Also it's gay.
You are playing as an administrator/conqueror, not engaged in active wars.
Theodora was a MASSIVE prostitute, for example.
You’re a fricking rogue trader
>what is ciaphas cain
Babbies first warhammer novel
I'd be fine if there were no romance at all. But if the devs decide to put it in the game, then in sure as hell going to b***h about it if it's implemented poorly.
If you actually knew at least some 40k you would notice how much of moron you are
>if you actually knew about 40k, you would realise that shit is on the raggedy edge most days and there's no time for homosexualry
When even saying the wrong thing or dreaming the wrong thing can be the seed that fricks an entire system, priorities are a little different. If you want a world where you can be a unscrupulous homosexual, go play BG3
>t. grimderp tertiary
>think it's grimderp and cynicism
Try the pyramid of needs. Survival takes precedence over flowery wank
because it has romance 🙂
>degenerates
>romance
You need therapy.
I don't think romance should have been included either.
homosexuals are a fricking cancer and want to be included in fricking everything. Like you couldn't be a homosexual 100 years ago but you think modern views of sexuality survived 40000 years into the future in a dystopian hellscape?
I'm pretty sure GW avoids the topic like the plague because there is absolutely no way an open homosexual wouldn't be prime slaaneshi material.
>think modern views of sexuality survived 40000 years into the future in a dystopian hellscape
What modern views of sexuality, your bisexual romances are
>I like being free and fricking everything (jae)
>you can't even touch me and it's more of a soul thing (yrliet)
>the fricking deldar
I'm talking about the hundreds of posts/comments/reviews where people are complaining about the romance and lack of gay options.
Like it's fricking 40k, people don't understand the setting.
Even Eisenhorn couldn't be with the girl he loved and she loved him too. This isn't a game to live out your cutesy relationship fantasies and it's sure as frick not a setting for "representation" of the alphabet mafia.
>I'm pretty sure GW avoids the topic like the plague because there is absolutely no way an open homosexual wouldn't be prime slaaneshi material.
with the way homosexuals like to act during pride parades? Yeah, most likely
Rogue trader is a prostitute
>"I am ready to accept any punishment you deem appropriate for my thoughtless actions. You may deliver it personally, right here, in front of everyone."
>You do not immediately recognize the change that has come over the Interrogator's unusually imperturbable face. Only after a moment does realization dawn: the speechless Heinrix van Calox is blushing. He turns away, equal parts furious and mortified, refusing to meet your gaze. "Throne damn you, {name}, stop testing my patience!"
That's peak stacy behavior, edging the guy until he nuts so hard you get pregnant with sextuplets.
a question
do the sisters of battle have a psyker corps?
Not that I know of but it could be possible I guess?
No. You could argue that their faith based power makes them ALL psykers, but they don't keep psyker regiments. The only time they might have psykers in their ranks is if they happen to have an Inquisitor working with them.
No, SoB are typically groomed from childhood and any psychically active child isn't going to get that opportunity when they're sent off to the black ships.
The normal developing one would be found and trained elsewhere, any late bloomer psykers among them would probably Repentia themselves as aborminal mutations, or for the "demonic voices in their heads".
No. They completely skip that step on the tabletop as well and have a "deny the witch" ability.
They fricking hate psykers most of the time.
Black Templars don't have psykers either.
It's hilarious that everyone who loves the emperor the most (he's the #1 psyker) hates psykers.
40k no longer has a Psychic Phase or Deny The Witch
I haven't played 10th yet lol, I completely forgot about that.
It's ok when the Emperor does it
>It's ok when the Emperor does it
40k rules in a nutshell
Is it fine ignoring most operator talents to take Pasquel's tech-priest ones or am I missing something that should always be picked up
I wish I could deal with more characters this way. Anyone step out of line, I just kill them. Any xeno or heretic, they die. Only through fear will I be respected.
A fitting end for her.
I only wish I could make her death more painful. The thought of xenos and heretics in pain is the only thing that brings me joy.
You forget anon, she's still there in her Spirit Stone. Feeling betrayed and completely shattered about her own actions. And she'll stay that way until her stone breaks and she's whisked away to be tortured for all eternity, then the REAL suffering begins.
how could you be so mean to my wife?
>do anything besides touch hand
>lose the "romance"
Eldar are a joke faction.
Every faction that isn't Chaos or the Imperium are a joke. All the xenos are basically just NPCs.
That's how it should be. Shitty aliens shouldn't matter.
The imperium is especially a joke
Seethe more, xenogay.
You can just read erotica if you want to read about fricking an elf
I'm just wondering why the frick that's even in the game
Some homosexuals out there value an emotional connection
To their STDs?
goddamn homosexuals
Everything in 40k is "a joke" whenever it is convenient for some moron's argument
whats the best archetypes for a pyromancy archetype? Is it even worth it?
I don't know what the frick to do with idira, I'm a operative/bh and I have fish as a buffing grand strategist
Warrior into vanguard, you set yourself on fire and go ham.
Warrior pyromancer is good. Vanguard is what most people gravitate to because you give yourself stacks of the vanguard shit and that's what I did as well but if I were to replay it then I'd probably go arch militant instead.
They're a little awkward though because you need to give up your first turn setting yourself on fire(or have your officers jerk you off more likely). My melee pyromancer RT definitely carried a lot of fights(often single handedly), especially in act 2 but you need WS, toughness, strength and willpower which kinda forces you to neglect agi. Especially since you'll likely be wearing heavy armor to get use out of the forgeworld talent and the warrior talent that gives you parry based on your armor.
This means you're going to end up pretty late in the turn order, which means later in the game you wont really be doing anything in combat because it just makes more sense to have your officers jerk off Argenta or some other ranged dps that can ALSO clear the entirel battlefield before it even gets to your turn.
Still an absolutely phenomenal boss killer though.
>check out the latest developments in 41k
>el johnson can now teleport to planets
AHAHAHAHAHAHA
The frick did he do, eat Tuchulcha?
Nope, he can just do that now.
Watchers have a webway type thing that manifests as a forest filled with monsters.
HH-writing MUST come with its own designer-drug delivery service
>HH
Sorry, forgot we are talking Dark Imperium or whatever they call it in BL now
Isn't it the Watchers that do it?
>tfw no high sexual tension gf
Why even exist
>inb4 jae
She's just a regular prostitute
She may be, but she fricks no one else the moment you two are an item.
And they actually put all the sexual flirting in her character for the female side. She's super provocative.
Grand stategist or tactician for officer mc?
I like the zones, but setting them up each and fricking time is such a pain.
Feels like just buffing Cassia with tactician skills is better.
Did they fix Cassia's origin? It was bugged and said "unknown"
Nope still
Unknown: Data deleted
I am not so sure that is a bug though, wait for her backstory
>Tfw I've been trying to get the shuttle achievement for an hour now
This is difficult.
How do you recruit the marine? There seems to be no option for it. And I'm guessing if you go to a third fight in the arena is too late.
if they gave the lion the ability to teleport worlds i am expecting an enemy (most likely chaos) to have something else in exchange
i vote for inexplicably being able to corrupt a hive fleet just you watch
Talking of level playing field:
Any Primaris Traitors yet, or did someone like Fabius get hands on Cawl's shit?
>could have gotten killer clowns
>instead we get boring old eldar and a fricking deldar
https://youtu.be/IQeTZKI43rY?si=ebd59vJ0dC4GKehG
Does anyone know how good the helbrute trophy is?
is it a good risk to basically cut your dodge and deflection to zero in exchange for a massive increase in melee damage and crit?
Abelard, make a new thread for me.
Sir you allowed Abelard to retire
who the FRICK allowed that to happen?
