Nope. And since literally nothing changed since Kingmaker in their game design and storytelling, it's not happening this time either. No extra endings like in BG3. DLCs promise "integration into the main story", but this was also technically true in Pathfinder games and a nothingburger.

While it's true that they didn't do rewrites, they are doing a Mass effect citadel style DLC for Wotr which expands upon some romances and companion relationships. >During your first visit to Kenabres, things did not go well. Now that the demonic assault has been thwarted, and the crusaders are preparing their final counterattack, why not take a little break? Kenabres, burned and rebuilt, is holding a new festival, and the Knight Commander will be the guest of honor. This is your chance to spend some quality time away from the battlefields together with your companions – and, perhaps, go on a special date with your loved one. Be careful, though: the war isn't over yet, and even the new, peaceful Kenabres might be hiding its share of secrets...
Maybe this game gets a similar DLC
>they just called the easy difficulty normal
why do you think so?
is there even a single statement to back this up? because all i can see is schizos looking at sliders
i don't have some vested interest in it mind you, if they ever said so i'll be more than happy to take your side. i found normal too easy myself but i already beat the game so my situation is exceptional
2/3 of the people who completed the prologue dropped the game before finishing chapter 1.
do you think they would agree that the game was too easy? personally, i find chapter 1 to be the most difficult chapter because after chapter 1 you can win every fight before the enemy gets a move in
normal is pretty fricking easy even though I neglected heroic acts and once-per-combat skills for like 5 hours
mostly because boltgun wife and my personal introducer absolutely slaughter everything and everyone

does it even matter if it was easy for you or me when there is empirical evidence about how easy it is for the population of people that play this game? think about it statistically
Playing on normal, only fights I would consider possibly challenging in Chapter 1 are the two Aurora battles.
First one because you have to chase down the priests or you go kaboom, second if you line up your whole party for boss man to mow them down. Only time party members got downed was the very last fight when the sniper homosexual domed two guys with two shots.
But I guess if you just stand around in the open and only ever use basic attacks then things can get challenging.
i disagree. by the time you get to the aurora fights you already have enough levels to grind them to dust. i killed aurora before turn 1 was over the first time i played the game. i didn't know what i was doing: in the same game, i died to the tutorial boss on normal.

I left the difficulty on normal because in the pen and paper games both sides are extremely deadly and I find that fun, but my guys have spiraled out of control so quickly that I haven’t been seriously challenged in a while. Think I’ll crank the difficulty a bit.
Normal is easy, Daring is the normal ttrpg difficulty. But because your dudes spiral so easily out of control it's better to bump it up to atleast hard for any challenge or deadliness
Not sure right now, it seems mostly Tzeentch. I would have loved to have more interactions with the other gods. Should have been able to let the governener of Janus invite you to her debauched slaanesh parties
I can certainly tell you that the subplot about the PC being possessed is completely dropped in an Iconoclast playthrough. After chapter 2 references to it just stop.
Neither. Versatility is stronger on it own. You get flat damage increases for your BS skill, which translates to bigger bursts. BS skill also directly translates to crit chance, so you should quickly reach 100% crit. As for Cautious, if the enemy ever gets a turn you're doing it wrong.
Best Archmil feats are the ones relating to extra turns, the ones relating to heavy weapons, and the ones that add extra features to Versatility.
Been trying to get this answer for a while. Which faction is worth maximizing the most? Which faction gives you the best items to buy if you maximize their reputation?
What do other factions seem to get? Do Explorators for instance give anything of worth? I heard also that Fellowship gives some good Heavy Bolter or something.
I'm suspicious if it's even possible to max out a faction even if you focus on one of them. I couldn't even finish Navy despite fighting all the space battles. I think.
Maybe there are certain things that give you more reputation with certain faction. I know that certain things like Jae or some projects on planets can give you more reputation with some factions.
Explorators has a lot of nice stuff and one of the best Talismans that constantly grants Temp HP to ALL allies whenever momentum is gained.
Can be acquired at Chap 2 still.
Drusian has a very powerful Sanctic Staff if you went with Sanctic, also Act 2.
You mean in lore or in this game? Because if you mean game then I don't know, but in lore... well think on that the astronomican, the beacon of light you can see in big part of the galaxy in the warp is work of one Psyker. The Emperor. And he also keeps up a literal sun in his basement so no Daemons slip through to Terra. Mephiston is also a powerful Psyker who can stop time which Magnus can do too. Overall, Psykers like them (Alpha Plus) are... something else.
I've been taking my time with this game, it's my first game in the genre and I don't know if I have ADHD but I don't have the stamina to proper grind the game.
However saying all that I'm really enjoying it, I've just got to the chaos marine. Fighting the eternal urge not to make a new character
Toybox doesnt seem to let you change your homeworld / origin / starting stats, just starting archetype unless im missing something? There is a "full respec" toggle but it seems to do nothing upon respecing.
you can add/remove those features by hand
Or add multiple, if you want to cheat like a mf. No problem to make your RT into a navigator in addition to everything else, if you want to do Cassia-tier mook melting
Since I missed Jae for not doing her quest right away and doing Janus, are any other companion quests failable like this?
Should I do Yrliet's quest Aeldari in distress before Dragonis and other planet?
I'm starting to wonder how Theodora managed to keep her ship and trade empire together. Most people in her crew are horribly incompetent, batshit insane and/or just flat out heretical.
Abelard was able to keep things running smoothly more or less during Theodora's absences, and before Kunrad failed her he also was good at his job. IIRC Abelard even admits that.
About a third of the skills don't work at all and I can't start act 4. This is probably their buggiest release ever.
Also the absolute insanity with the weapon "Wanderer's Potent". They actually patched it to be 2 handed, but didn't bother to fix the fact that nobody can actually use it due to conflicting requirements. It just demonstrates extreme incompetence and complete lack of testing. They literally could not have tested this fix, makes one wonder if they bothered to test anything at all.
>Wanderer's Potent fix
that's funny as frick
what kind of special ed kid do they have doing bugfixes? I swear I could go through all this shit in a week
Not really. A heavy, high ROF weapon is going to do so much more even at lower stacks that it's not worth. Though those drukkari blasters have some serious armor penetration if you are ever in a situation where that is extremely important.
im loving my dogmatic commissar officer but i feel i should take a moment for them to do more patches so im going to punch through a fresh playthrough
i want to go psyker heretic but i don't know what starting archtype to go
im thinking soldier (henry is a warrior and that black Black person b***h is an operative) but i'm not quite sure what type of psyker fits best
>servitor runs 20 tiles and oneshots abelard before I can act >also explodes and takes out the rest of the party
Great, another gimmick encounter where I have to savescum initiative and kill everything on turn 1.
Okay I think I fricked up big time so help me out. All my characters are doing shit damage, and even the bolter nun barely does any damage, only saving grace is Abalard with momentum.
How do I build for big damage?
Argenta with Camaraderie Talent & Sniper Rifles (Longlas for all Act 1 & some of Act 2, Deadly Repeater from Explorator Faction later in Act 2)
After being buffed with Voice of Command (with Focus Talent) & Air of Authority from an Officer Ally with Seize the Initiative Talent.
Should be enough to clear trash, focus on weaker enemies first for HIGH MOMENTUM, then spam Finest Hour on her.
Give pasqal a plasma rifle and build him for repeated plasma/melta uses, when you can pick a new class talent for him, scroll all the way down to find his unique talents. With Finest Hour officer momentum he sweeps harder than argenta.
Argenta herself gets much stronger when you make her arch militant.
Give cassia navigator talents, get her single target navigator attack skill and let her murder.
Thats about it.
How come in Pathfinder threads and RT threads there are lots of people posting their ingame pictures, but there isn't a single Baldur's Gate 3 thread were people post their ingame pictures??
What is going on?
You do understand that different people fix different bugs, right? This was art department, they usually have their shit together. Coders and scripters- not so much
I posted some BG3 in-game secrets at launch and everything got ignored in favor of shitty bait, this site is swarming with teenagers and shitskins. Shitskin teenagers at this point
Gotta love the writing, you can tell Argenta to stand down, tell Idira that it's all cool then when she passes out you still get the airlock option, kek.
>reach Chapter 2 >you can now tell companions on the bridge to frick off >even Cassia
How's that supposed to work? You lock her into the navi chamber and nail the doors?
Finally finished it. Carried over the finish line by Toybox, because holy frick this thing was buggy. Even with managing to get through the main quest with it, I still missed half the companion quests because they simply didn't fire, complete, or straight up fricked you over by teleporting you to locations with no exit.
Apart from that, I think it was pretty good, with some caveats. The main quest didn't gel quite well together with each chapter kind of hopping on to different villains. And the game obviously expects you to make broken, overpowered builds because there are some really bullshit fights later on.
Also, don't neglect upgrading your ship if you want to finish the game. The game gives the impression that the whole ship combat side is largely optional by not having many mandatory battles early on. But in the late game, there are critical space battles with enemies that turn on a dime, refill their health, and hit like a truck with large firing arcs. And even with an upgraded ship, you still might get fricked by the RNG.
pasqal should be plasma dispenser or a sniper
but as far as i remember, you get few lines from him but nothing game changing.
you need heinrich for a sidequest though.
So uhhh did is there a way to save THAT world? Besides, I think I made a mistake saving the poor and the nobles, but Argenta wanted me to do it... next time I'll destroy the planet as Heinrix proposed.
anons i need some help
i keep hearing about how good argent is
but i only ever get her to work with flamers
how the frick can she get good with a heavy bolter
she keeps missing half the time???
I missed the marine too. And immediately killed the other knife ear. A deldar immediately fricks off with her soul stone. It's fine, there are enough companions.
I took her with me only to publicly give her to jimmi. It was my way of apologizing to him. I should have listened. From now i on i wull do as he or abelard command me. Women should be listening to and obeying their men, and those two are my men
Easy. Can't ask the deldar to get him out. I also missed the Iconoclast secret companion, because of course I did. I'm guessing he can't get his ass paralyzed.
Getting real sick and tired of being forced to reload saves because someone got instantly downed in the first round of combat from the AI deciding to focus them before they can even act.
Does the effect of Voice of Command to allow the Officer to target allies at any range with their abilities also remain via Lasting Impression, or only the stat bonuses?
playing a pirated version, hitting 80°+ degrees in my 2060 super, does the steam version run like dogshit too? thinking of just buying if it works better.
Bump vsync to every fourth frame, my 3080ti was trying to recreate chernobyl until I did that. I'm fairly sure the frame limiter isn't working or something like that.
You guys weren't kidding when you said Heinrix was both thirsty and dense simultaniously.
Didn't even notice the daemon goo or "secret" (open door) chaos altar.
I left him on the ship and he immediately fricked me heretical pussy so hard he didn't notice that my quarters look worse than half the warp encounters.
but then again if you do his quests you realize the inquisitor is ultra radical, so I guess he's just used to it at this point.
>left him on the ship and he immediately fricked me heretical pussy so hard he didn't notice that my quarters look worse than half the warp encounters.
Hot, I want an heretical gf
I personally just wanted to go for maximum betrayal, same reason I keep forgiving the elf b***h despite her constant betrayals.
The fact that the only person who cared for her and soul melded with her is the biggest fricking heretic in the sector is just comedy gold.
(she doesn't get pissy about it if you're a girl, only guys have to be celibate for her)
>she doesn't get pissy about it if you're a girl, only guys have to be celibate for her
What the frick, I was assuming her meme "romance" is unisex. Then it's a straight up cuck fantasy, as intended by the writers.

I'm okay-ish with it. It's the other women who are jealous, the elf doesn't give a frick.
How? I encountered the one in the hulk and the two at the end of forge world and never had the option to bring one back. Hell, I had the same party as you for the boss fight with the two of them and nothing like what's in the pic happened.
>>Get Back in the Fight! >>Air of Authority
I took these 2 Air of authority is strong because an extra action point can mean a lot and get back in the fight clearing stuns is also uber useful
You can either appease the darkness and get a buff depending on your choices or subdue it (need to find 3 hidden awareness checks on the map)
I tried a few of the other options to see what effect they had, Cassia ending up getting +5 Willpower seems a lot better than +2WS for my MC. There's also an achievement but I have no idea of how to unlock it.
dumb question, but if you're the scion of the rogue trader dynasty then your last name is already decided, yeah?
when they ask for your character's name it's only the first name
I started as a noble and in the very beginning introduced myself with a name that was like ten words long but yes, you change your name to simply "X von Valancius" after you take your position.
>End of act 1 fights >Team finally not racking up injuries and traumas with every fight >Things seem to be going well >Last fight >Get absolutely fricking rolled
I thought that fight was going to be a continue if you lose one
I thought that fight was the hardest in the beta, and now that the full game is out and I reached the final chapter I think it's the hardest in the game
>can't touch, embrace, kiss, hold hands, or rub her ears >can slap her, whip her, humiliate her, kill her, make her your pet, and mindbreak her
Do the writers hate Yrliet or something?
not really worth it, majority of the time you're not ever lined up for a good ram anyway since everything is more maneuverable than you and you shouldn't be that close to anything bigger than you unless it's just to end the combat
>coerce a young soldier to give me classified information >brutally mutilate him for giving it to me
Goddamn, you can be a monster in this game and I love it.
Give me ONE reason to not murder the farseer here and now
I genuinely trust Marazhai more than this c**t, at least I can guess what a Drukhari could want at any given time.
Inquisitors almost always end up that way, their level of education and intelligence allows them to understand that humanity has allies against chaos that won't frick them over on principle, only when it benefits them. Of course there's some that go full morons and go as far as to use daemonhosts, but they don't tend to be around for long.
have you manned your stations? are you using the abilities? also one of the world missions will give you a friendly sabre that'll fly around pelting shit with plasma guns
I completed all encounters and want even close to max level with Navy. Like three levels away. The last optional Necron fight is doable anyway. I just kept running away and spamming torpedoes.
That's what I'm talking about. One of the ship is OP because it's lead by a necron lord who can jump from ship to ship. You can tell which ship hosts a necron lord because it's blue.

I missed all of it lol. The only thing I noticed was that once destroyed light cruisers weren't self destructing each turn.
That's one of my favorite skills for Pasqal. He usually exploitmaxxes a hard target, then uses that on a cluster of mooks and fires his plasma cannon to start building up stacks for the + to plasma/melta talent. He's usually my second target for bring it down, especially if Argenta is not in a great spot.
I'm pretty sure Pasqal, Argenta, and Abelard are always gonna be built the same in every run I do. Bounty Hunter for him, Arch-Militant for Argenta, and Vanguard for Abelard are just too good on them. I've also got Yrliet as a BH, but I think I'll have her go Assassin if I use her in another run. Might swap her spot for Jae in future runs just so I'll have two officers for maximum Cassia shenanigans, plus she gets some really good bonuses from Cold Trader as your rep goes up.
Yeah, when I saw the free exploits from machine spirit communion and its insane range of effect and then default scanning I already saw the potential of generating immense amounts of armor for the party. I'd take this even if Pasqual was not good at anything else because exposing strips armor off enemies which is vital in the lategame. And yeah, Yrilet is a better fit for an assassin, I deal absurd damage with her, I built her for bleed with extremely high dodge for lethality percentage and weak spot hitting and she killed Keykeross in three shots. Enemy health just doesn't matter to assassins at all, since they deal % of max health damage.
>Enemy health just doesn't matter to assassins at all, since they deal % of max health damage.
So that's how you make her do damage in the late game. Thank god for Toybox and free respecs, I don't wanna dump my elf waifu yet, but I've been having a hard time justifying her in the party.
You are doing it wrong, you take the ability that puts a stack on the enemy with the most exploits at the start of the round, the ability that gives anyone that does an attack near you +1 exploit, and the one that adds +1 to all exploit gains then have an officer give you a turn throw down a stack of exploits on whoever has the most then Tactical just it to clear 30 and give your whole party 60% armour. Plus it stacks so you can easily break 40 stacks.
How to I rid myself of this little gift? Had to pause my playthrough for a day now because I dont want to end up with a debuff for the rest of the game.
i think its pretty much permanent, didnt see any new dialogue in removing it at the bridge
with toybox if you use the rest all command it should remove it
Forgive me Emperor for I have strayed from the true path.
>suffer not the xeno to live
I was a fool. I should have listened. I should have known. I didn't and now an abomination haunts my ship and in my infinite foolishness I have succumbed to the Sunken Cost heresy that is preventing me from venting it into the warp where it belongs.
Finished the game. Act 1 and 2 were brilliant and fun as hell, but Act 3 felt kinda scuffed in terms of pacing and balance. I don't love the writing that lead me there, either. Act 4 and 5 kinda lost the parts of the game I loved the most: exploration and managing your dynasty. They were short, buggy and lacking in focus, ping ponging between various villains with very little buildup, and less and less opportunities to flex the conviction system as it went along.
I was satisfied with my ending in theory, but bugged ending slides made it anemic in practice. Shame. I guess I'll return in a few years and have the 'intended' experience.
Act 3 definitely is the worst part of the game, it railroads you severely and unless you're a combat specialized character it is a massive pain in the ass too. It would have been nice if they implemented ways of avoiding most if not all of it entirely, or just letting you gigachad your way through parts of Commorragh on your own terms.
Argenta with lore inappropriate sniper rifles including xenos rifles sniping everything without care even early and without being cucked by bolter abysmal to hit% until Arch Militant
>act 4 starts >all bridge events for companions trigger at the same time >they cancel eachother and I don't get any dialogue or quests >game completely gives up trying to sequence it and breaks down crying (picrel)
So... this is the power of act 4 I was warned about...
- Go to the Rogue Trader's quarters on the ship (this is important or it won't work)
- Go to 'Etudes' in Toybox and type 'brief' in the search field
- Look for 'KTC_Chapter4Start_Briefing' and expand the 'elements' dropdown
- When in your room, click Play scene KTC_Ch4Start_Briefing'

I got the briefing, this is why Abelard's quest triggered as you can see
>act 4 starts >all bridge events for companions trigger at the same time >they cancel eachother and I don't get any dialogue or quests >game completely gives up trying to sequence it and breaks down crying (picrel)
So... this is the power of act 4 I was warned about...
The problem is that I was visited by Idira, the moment she reached my desk she disappeared and I was visited by Heinrix, the moment he reached my desk he disappeared and I was visited by Jae, and when she reached my desk guess what happened.
Then the game went in crisis and so I got my desk in space
I really want to give elf b***h over the Jimmi Hendricks after chapter 3 but fricking b***h is so useful both in combat and on the ship combat I hate to do it, but letting her get away with what she did is cucked beyond belief. Why did Owlkek write such a shitty fricking betrayal.
It's not really a betrayal, she's just dumb. And the fricking gas should not have worked on Pasqual anyway, it's not really her fault that the game just decides to strip you of agency entire in act 3.
>Why did Owlkek write such a shitty fricking betrayal.
Because they obviously pandered to fujos with romances. They were told that the whole betrayal looks moronic (as it was written) and they promised to Elf-simps that they will change it, but, unless there is some bug which is causing her personal quest and MC quests to cross somewhere durring the Second Act with dialogue/etude to switch from her betrayl to dumb Inquisitor acolyte (no not Jimmy), it remained the same
in the beta I just told Henrix he can have her, this time I'm just starting act 3 unfortunately
Can I keep her but have her as like a slave or something so she still gets punished??
>Why did Owlkek write such a shitty fricking betrayal.
For the same reason Tristian does it in Kingmaker, or the queen does it in wotr. They think it adds "drama" and makes the character more interesting when in reality it always feels incredibly foced and adds no depth to the character.
The longer a fight goes the stronger the team gets. If I don't lose in the first 2-3 rounds the fight is over. Sanctics, Officers, Argenta and Cassia are too much for the game, they break it totally.
How are they supposed to get into Commoragh? They don't know what happened until you come back.
That's a pretty Rogue Trader thing to do, nothing out of the ordinary.
>Be the rogue trader >Go on the bridge deck after fricking with Jae >Everyone on the bridge, from officers to technomats to servitors starts clapping and cheering >Abelard has tears in his eyes >the whole crew starts chanting RO-GUE TRA-DER RO-GUE TRA-DER
>betrayal
I'm severely disappointed. I expected heresy mind frickery and companion problems of all kinds requiring bullshitting your way with diplomacy facing deranged dc's and I got nothing but shit. What's the point of chaos and heresy if you ain't gonna use it to spice up warhammer trek?
How hard is it to fill up an alignment? Do you need to find every availible choice for it in the game and never choose any alternate options.
Like if I chose to walk through the fire in the first choice during the prologue would I be fricked in going Iconoclast because of it?
Also heard the secret ending requires going all in on one ideology and you can't ever deviate.
I came to the Administratum after my ceremony but I can't see the option to fast-pass it, instead it suggests I queue up.
Did something break and do I need to get Toybox out?
That ACT 4 end dungeon and end fight especially are such giga bullshit. Performance tanked to a crawl and everything is overtuned. I turned it to Story difficulty with 0 regrets
I gotta say, despite some shortcomings, Owlcat nailed the atmosphere and the setting. Chatting with Reta was such a cool interaction, just the dichotomy between the mighty rogue trader, ruler of countless star systems, and this humble junker who just wants to feed her family, taking pride of her lot in life and having no delusions about the work she's doing, ending with even Yrilet admiring her honesty and view of the world. Pure kino, right there.
>start act 4 >return to voidship >every companion has pitchforks out for yrliet >...but not the the fricking kabalist that raided and tortured our people >he even joins in to mock yrliet >best you can do is to hand him over to jimmi on the bridge
what the FRICK man i get being angry over the betrayal of yrliet (not really even a betrayal but endangering the party due to her dumb actions) but the dude who literally tortured people and kidnapped them gets to go scott free?
>slowly losing her shit travelling in human voidship due to slaanesh to find survivors from her dead craftworld >still found no surviors after all that >only lead is marazhai >contact him and he says come to this place to find out what happened to your craftworld :^) >ask rogue trader to bring her there, but hide source of information >got fricked over herself as well
yeah like i said, moron behaviour but not really a betrayal
I still maintain that it makes no sense that they don't give you an option to kill him or at the very least tell him to frick off immediately after he helps you in the arena fight.
Every other character has a myriad moments where you get that choice, but for some reason the fricking Drukhari of all people gets stuck with you for an entire act before you can finally ask Heinrix to get rid of him? Frick off.
I mean you have to keep him for the entirety of act 3 if you get him to join you in the fight.
You have to go out of your way to get him to aid you at the arena, aren't you just keeping him around while you're in Comorragh?
>You have to go out of your way to get him to aid you at the arena
It's one dialogue option that says "it's in your best interest to team up with me against your captor," I wouldn't call it going out of my way.
Ok, i finally started the real game, I enterer to the planet on incognito mode. I think I'm to keep my saves and play the game again once they fix all the bugs.
I didn't got a single bug until now (i think)
I have no idea what the frick i’m doing with the archetypes. I’ve got 3 fricking operatives in my party and I don’t really understand how their abilities work. Same with the other archetypes. I can’t even seem to activate the Operator heoric action? It just doesn’t seem to work no matter what I do
I’m still early in the game, but am I moronic or are sniper rifles just the best weapon in the game? They do frickloads of damage and hit reliably. Everything else I see just doesn’t seem to compare. I know for people like Argenta things like her bolter are better for her, but I just find myself equipping everyone with a sniper rifle as their secordary for when they can’t do their psyker shit or melee shit
All the weapon types are pretty easy to break the game with but snipers are pretty great early game for the reasons you mention. Late game the absolute most damage you can get is from burst damage weapons like heavy bolters. Think I put out 4300~ damage in one turn using Burst Fire. That said, snipers remain really good the whole game through, particularly with Sniper, since you do a % of the enemy's max health. Great for bursting down bosses.
Is there a mod yet that automatically wins combat for you? The game itself is okay, decent even, but my god every single combat is a slog. I gave up on a random voidship where combat took an hour because the last corrupted Magos would go "tee hee hee" and run away from Abelard and Pasqal. Frick that kind of nonsense bullshit. I just want to press a "frick off" button that actually leads me to the fun bits of RT.
Toybox. It has a kill everyone button built in. I really enjoyed the combat for like, 90 hours or so but toward the end of the game it became a real slog. Particularly space combat.
>get Eldar skull from clerk dude on Janus >start convo with Yrliet >elantach this and Lilaethan that >"cool story, yo, check out this dope skull" >Yrliet reeees
Kek
Unpopular opinion: A frenship with male Eldar companion where he starts off seeing you as a filthy mon'keigh but as you do his quests and go through hell and back together he starts seeing you as his battle bro and true friend despite being a human would have been more kino than the romance shit with Yrliet.
If you don't bother with her romance she just acts like a snobby b***h most of the time, with the exception of situations where she's sad and needs to be told that it's okay.
Being sad and pathetic is understandable when your soul is being eaten by a chaos god that your people murderfricked into existence and to top it all off your home is gone
A Bloodaxe Kommando would probably be better than a Freeboota in this case.
They actually have a better understanding of how to be 'subtle', and are more commonly seen working as mercrnaries for human employers.
Would be cool having a big stelfy boy on the team.
>get an ork companion >at the beginning he thinks you're just a flashy git, but as the story goes on he starts respecting you >in the end, he calls you "boss"
best feeling.
This.
Yrliet is too disgusted to touch you even when she romances you, but a elder guy would give you a bro hug to comfort you after Deldar torture. >Murders a bunch of Deldar torturing RT and busts him out then gives him bro hug >"B-but Aithar I thought you were too disgusted to even touch a human" >"You're not a mere mon'keigh to me anymore RT, in my eyes you are my brother in arms...and my friend" >Retvrn bro hug and kills hordes of deldar together >brofist in the end >is the best man at your wedding
No, that's halo. Picking up a half broken lasgun from your freshly eviscerated spacebro, and beating a chaos demon with the broken stock only to either turn into a demon of a different alignment ten minutes later or be executed for seeing a demon is more along the lines for 40k.
> I want my 40k to be DOOM meets the Event Horizon
40k needs to be funny as well, otherwise the writers are just missing the point
Want 40k funny? Alright. A Tau, an orc and an imperial guardsmen enter a bar. Five genocides, four black crusades, three necron awakenings, two exterminatus and a 'nid hive fleet invasion later there's no more bar.
Don't do to this setting what fricking disney did to Star Wars for fricks sake.
You just don't get it, do you? The premise is how the best and only hope humanity had got crippled and fricked beyond repair. What's left is borderline what the emperor was hoping to avoid. Literally everything that could've gone wrong, has gone wrong in one way or another. For almost every side involved. The only victors are the chaos and arguably the orks since they're entertained by all the skullfricking going on.
Riddle me where does the casual PG-13 bioware bants tier humor and a fistbump from your xeno space bro fit in that one.
You shouldn't be playing this game then. If you want that go play 40k games set on the frontlines of the war. Rogue Trader deals with other, in my opinion, far more interesting themes. Just because you only understand 40k through the lense of warfare doesn't mean an entire other aspect is invalid.
I don't actually have problem with the game other than the vague as frick phrasing of some abilities and how they work. Or plain don't in some cases. For example the hoops you have to jump to make breakthru/slash work is bonkers. The writing is alright to quite decent at times.
But some of you chucklefricks need to rub one out and call it a day instead of simping for the weirdest softcore porn obviously not available in every new goddamn game that comes out. I do actually second the guy that said ork. "Sanctioned" ork freebooters were a thing once upon a time and that would've been funny as hell if done right.
The origins of 40k used to be something more fantastical and less set in stone, it was a smaller enterprise.
You could have a half-eldar ultramarine librarian, or female space marines.
I wish for a patch that finishes the latter half of the game. I am enjoying chapter one quite a lot, but I don't want to continue knowing chapter 4 and 5 can be awfully messy when it comes to quests and general bugs.
I waited like 2 years before even starting pathfinder and I wish I wouldn't have to wait that long to play a relatively bug free game.
LMAO. The fricking Seize the Initiative bug also crops up in Deldar murderrapetown. I cross the chain to avoid the encounter and still get pulled into battle with the infinite looping extra turn.
Not so much a betrayal as it was a dumb decision and not telling the Rogue Trader what she was planning, she thought they were just going to meet for a chat about the missing elves and didn't expect the delfs to ambush you all and successfully take you down
But she'll be willing to sacrifice her flesh at the haemonculus, getting lashed, and she'll be pledging herself to you until you die. I think that was acceptable.
>But she'll be willing to sacrifice her flesh at the haemonculus, getting lashed, and she'll be pledging herself to you until you die
And then, after all that, she betrays you again. I mean come on give it a rest and stop trying to defend this shit, everything about her is horribly written.
What's the point of navigator insights?
You only read them to downgrade red routes.
Yellow and orange ones are benefictial (events, story, flavour, loot etc).
>The first major story expansion is all about the Rogue Trader's voidship, the life of its crew, and the threats lurking in its holds. Dive into a new epic story integrated into the main narrative, battle new enemies, and recruit a new companion — a death cult assassin. Explore new decks of your voidship, unlock new upgrade options, and master the mechanics of void combat. Meet new members of your crew on the bridge, such as the Astropath, the chirurgeon, and others.
The events of this story will be reflected in the game's epilogue.
>The second major story expansion sees the Lord Captain join forces with a new companion — a member of the Adeptus Arbites. I hope DLC actually includes early power armors for DLC content and promised new archetypes actually also include new psyker disciplines or even chaos magic.
>on Janus, trying to figure out what the frick is going on >local police trying to poison rebel teenager >talk to the kid >yabbayabba >both Iconoclast and Dogmatic choices are to just shoot him in the face
Kino
Is it me or is Kiava Gamma unusually overtuned if you do it last?
I was full of tanky enemies that could one shot my dudes.
The Janus mission before that Drukh-breaking encounter of on Foulstone that I did after that were a breeze in comparison.
Daring btw.
Not really, at that point in the game you should already have advanced archetypes going and depending on your party it should be a breeze.
On daring enemies never got a turn by that point, including the boss fight.
>Foulstone
I mean Vheabos
[...]
You get a bunch from planter projects and main quest progression, you'll have more than you know what to do with by the end of Act 2.
Act 2 is the longest and most coherent act in the game.
3 and 5 are very short and 4 is medium length but has pacing issues, feels like a villain of the week show.
I wish for death to xenos, uncle Abelard!
>trivializes every ch4-5 boss with 200+% armor
heh... nothing personnel... kiddo
Sister Argenta
Is Yrliet a NEET?
>thinks naruto running in public is acceptable behavior
what do you think?
Mister Abelard, I want Yrliet to be rewritten by someone who doesn't hate her for the Enhanced Edition!
>rewrite
Does Owlcat do that? Did they rewrite anything in the pathfinder games?
I know Larian did for the enhanced editions of the divinity games.
>Owlcat writers
>listening to feedback and changing things
You're a funny guy anon
Odds of CamCam getting a good ending?
She has a good ending, she doesn't kill you
cringe, sexless weabs like you should stay away from 40k
eldar should be written like eldar, not some fricking isekai bawd
I thought all space marines are sterile
only custodes can breed
TOTAL YRLIET LOVE!
I know about that, but it doesn't give me the option to trade with the fellowship of the void. I can trade with everyone except them.
>they just called the easy difficulty normal
why do you think so?
is there even a single statement to back this up? because all i can see is schizos looking at sliders
i don't have some vested interest in it mind you, if they ever said so i'll be more than happy to take your side. i found normal too easy myself but i already beat the game so my situation is exceptional
No, normal is too easy. The only difficulty spike you'll have is in chapter 4's boss fight. Easy party wipe.
are you sure that you are a good measure for what is easy?
Yes. I can't account for these stats though. Maybe people are dropping the game, or buying and not playing it.
2/3 of the people who completed the prologue dropped the game before finishing chapter 1.
do you think they would agree that the game was too easy? personally, i find chapter 1 to be the most difficult chapter because after chapter 1 you can win every fight before the enemy gets a move in
normal is far easier than wotr/kingmaker default difficulties
this is known
normal is pretty fricking easy even though I neglected heroic acts and once-per-combat skills for like 5 hours
mostly because boltgun wife and my personal introducer absolutely slaughter everything and everyone
does it even matter if it was easy for you or me when there is empirical evidence about how easy it is for the population of people that play this game? think about it statistically
i disagree. by the time you get to the aurora fights you already have enough levels to grind them to dust. i killed aurora before turn 1 was over the first time i played the game. i didn't know what i was doing: in the same game, i died to the tutorial boss on normal.
>i killed aurora before turn 1 was over
I oneshot every battle so far and have no idea how that's supposed to be possible.
the emperor protects, anon.
>steam achievements are empirical evidence
i'm not sure what you're trying to say here.
tell me you're dogmatic without telling me you're dogmatic
I'm trying to say that you do not know how "empirical evidence" works
and your evidence for such a statement is... a screenshot of wotr achievements?
this must have made a lot more sense in your head
I see you have problems refuting it
I rest my case
Playing on normal, only fights I would consider possibly challenging in Chapter 1 are the two Aurora battles.
First one because you have to chase down the priests or you go kaboom, second if you line up your whole party for boss man to mow them down. Only time party members got downed was the very last fight when the sniper homosexual domed two guys with two shots.
But I guess if you just stand around in the open and only ever use basic attacks then things can get challenging.
it is easy, never had any troubles on normal
and what
said
act 1/2 and even some of 3 in wotr was so much harder on normal
Simply put, the difficulty that has all modifiers set on 0 is Daring
Still no patch? We were told Thursday - Friday
But because your dudes spiral so easily out of control it's better to bump it up to atleast hard for any challenge or deadliness
lel
cuck game
what does it matter to her if I'm fricking someone else?
Because you're totally in a relationship mate, just don't touch her
do you guys know how to read
Cassia's the one making you choose, you can see there Yrliet doesn't even want to be involved.
This, yrliet doesn't mind getting cucked. their relationship with the lord captain is on a whole 'nother level anyway
Cassia is spoiled brat
Toybox it. Disable jealousy
How many point of persuasion/coercion/Slaaneshi corruption do I need to pick both?
Frick me, just left Footfall and started exploring, but can't complete a single warp jump without some random event popping up.
Decrease the danger using navigator points.
Not that, Cassia's and Idira's quests popped up. Or just some random text shit that that maybe means something.
you vill cleanse the lower decks of chaos infected scum and you vill be happy
kinda wish you didn't level up every second fight bros
feels like i play for an hour then spend 15 minutes leveling everyone up
>game is called Rogue Trader
>commerce skill checks are the rarest
on one planet some 'refugees' try to invade and ape out over a monastery so you have to blast the blm protestors
>haha Rogue Trader, you cannot penetrate my invicible forcefield!
>"MR TZEENTCH SEND HIM TO THE PRINCIPLE'S OFFICE AND HAVE HIM EXPELLED NOW!
>oh no-
So does the heretic follow all the gods or just Tzeentch and his bird demon?
Not sure right now, it seems mostly Tzeentch. I would have loved to have more interactions with the other gods. Should have been able to let the governener of Janus invite you to her debauched slaanesh parties
I can certainly tell you that the subplot about the PC being possessed is completely dropped in an Iconoclast playthrough. After chapter 2 references to it just stop.
So... the demon inside you just fizzles out? Runs out of juice?
Do you need any particular stats to reveal this option? Because helping daemons invade Commoragh sounds fricking hilarious and very well deserved.
Confident vs Cautious Approach for Ulfar?
And what's the qrd on what Arch Militant feats to pick for her, I never used the class before
Confident approach crit damage.
I found both are good depending on the situation, choose which would help you more and pick the other when you hit exemplar
Ulfar though is a waste. Just stick with Argenta.
it doesn't matter, you one turn kill everything anyway
How hard is this game, considering I got filtered by the spider cave in Kingmaker and haven't picked it back up yet
On normal difficulty
Every Officer you have in your party reduces Difficulty by one Mode/Step
Only the ultimate is good, the rest is shit.
You legit have no idea what you are talking about.
Seize the Initiative alone breaks the game apart.
Cassias navigator abilities make the game too easy
She can't keep up with shooty and stabby guys in the endgame. Her damage doesn't get better, but theirs does. Neither can psykers.
Been trying to get this answer for a while. Which faction is worth maximizing the most? Which faction gives you the best items to buy if you maximize their reputation?
drusians give 2 suits of end-game power armor at the end, including one specifically for pascal, which is weird
What do other factions seem to get? Do Explorators for instance give anything of worth? I heard also that Fellowship gives some good Heavy Bolter or something.
Do all power armors need high strength to use?
I'm suspicious if it's even possible to max out a faction even if you focus on one of them. I couldn't even finish Navy despite fighting all the space battles. I think.
Maybe there are certain things that give you more reputation with certain faction. I know that certain things like Jae or some projects on planets can give you more reputation with some factions.
Maybe. Shit's tight regardless.
I am an officer Icono Pyromancer (I start every fight by telling Argenta to burn me so I can burn everyone else) and I want to provide for the team.
Can you keep Raquel alive during the attack during the parade?
she is alive even if she dies during combat, she just gets up after
Wew and after I restarted after a good start because she went and gibbed herself against the leader. Well at least I know now
Just how strong is a really strong psyker?
in game or in lore?
Take your time. It's a long ass game. Plus the end game is filled with bugs.
install toybox and respec as many times as you want
Toybox doesnt seem to let you change your homeworld / origin / starting stats, just starting archetype unless im missing something? There is a "full respec" toggle but it seems to do nothing upon respecing.
You can manually change out your features as you like, but a full respec isn't available yet.
you can add/remove those features by hand
Or add multiple, if you want to cheat like a mf. No problem to make your RT into a navigator in addition to everything else, if you want to do Cassia-tier mook melting
I'm gonna enjoy skinning this fricking homosexual on my chaos run *which is this one*
but he was nice to youin his letter
I thought that XC stood for Xander Cage, was looking forward to some Dieselkino.
I want to frick a fish
I got her cuck ending. It's a miracle I got any ending and finished her questline at all though, according to anons and plebbit.
I want to frick Yrilet, and if I can't, then let Chaos consume me.
you can't, you can't touch her physically at all
limbs not elongated enough
face not horsey enough
Disgusting
That was some kind of bait?
Since I missed Jae for not doing her quest right away and doing Janus, are any other companion quests failable like this?
Should I do Yrliet's quest Aeldari in distress before Dragonis and other planet?
I'm starting to wonder how Theodora managed to keep her ship and trade empire together. Most people in her crew are horribly incompetent, batshit insane and/or just flat out heretical.
Abelard was able to keep things running smoothly more or less during Theodora's absences, and before Kunrad failed her he also was good at his job. IIRC Abelard even admits that.
>take 0 damage in a fight
>finish the fight with a wound
Huh?
Shell shock
Psyker's pain channeling, most likely. Guess what happens when you overkill the last enemy. Scripting, how does it work.
I want the game to fricking work.
Two handed chain weapons where. I haven't seen a single one.
There's a chain greataxe in the rewards from one of the factions.
https://www.reddit.com/r/RogueTraderCRPG/comments/18kdkq7/super_buggy_releaseagain/kdqn650/
Thoughts?
have a nice day
About a third of the skills don't work at all and I can't start act 4.
Starrok said that they keep adding shit to the game even a few days before release and that's why theey're so broken, they don't test jack shit
>Wanderer's Potent fix
that's funny as frick
what kind of special ed kid do they have doing bugfixes? I swear I could go through all this shit in a week
>Next patch in thursday
They're going to be once a week then
I wish for total chaos and xenos death, uncle Abelard.
Is dual wielding on arch-militant worth it compared to heavy weapons? You could get some easy stacks with blast and shuriken pistols.
You lose companions as a heretic, including heinrix, so plan for that.
As a pyro you really want to go melee.
Seriously, you lose like 4 companions out of 9 which is moronic
is this legit? heretic drops you down to 5 companions?
You lose Argenta, Heinrix, Yrliet and the space furry.
Not Heinrix. He will stay...at least some anons said that
Yeah, the best fricking companions!!!
I expected the Inquisitor to fall and stay in the party, seeing how he keeps exposing himself to chaos.
yeah does jimmy leave? he seems so tempted
someone mentioned that his corruption trigger is set to be 3 or 4 flags and if you go over then it loops back around
By design or a bug?
Never play kotor
I can't beat the Edge of Daybreak on normal
this is bullshit
He couldn't even hit my guys. I'm assuming bounty hunter debuffs did a lot of the work.
>servitor runs 20 tiles and oneshots abelard before I can act
>also explodes and takes out the rest of the party
Great, another gimmick encounter where I have to savescum initiative and kill everything on turn 1.
>he died to servitors
>servitors
You are like the zeon mook that died to the gundam hammer
Okay I think I fricked up big time so help me out. All my characters are doing shit damage, and even the bolter nun barely does any damage, only saving grace is Abalard with momentum.
How do I build for big damage?
The feesh can carry you.
I think my fish is broken sir, the warp gaze never does more than 20 damage
Nobody cares shitposter
nobody plays BG3, the game might not even actually exist, it's all a globohomosexual psyop
That bug was removed. I hoped it would end that shitty meme
That bug should have been least priority. With broken skills, broken quests, and broken campaign to fix first.
You do understand that different people fix different bugs, right? This was art department, they usually have their shit together. Coders and scripters- not so much
>NO DON'T POST THAT MEME THATS SHITTY AHHHHHHHHHHHHH
Back to work with you.
>The least inbred astropath
Navigators are not astropaths
no one actually plays BG3
BG3 doesnt even exist.
I posted some BG3 in-game secrets at launch and everything got ignored in favor of shitty bait, this site is swarming with teenagers and shitskins. Shitskin teenagers at this point
BG3 hits a content cliff past Act 1.
Gotta love the writing, you can tell Argenta to stand down, tell Idira that it's all cool then when she passes out you still get the airlock option, kek.
it's honestly amazing how many chances you have to kill your companions, often just after you've been nice to them.
And that make important question: can you buckbreak Yrliet for her treachery?
You can force her to do the deldar torture thing, like she was in the middle of when you got to her in Commorragh, but can't molest her.
Torture thing? You mean that make her cut somebody?
A farseer
You can whip her and make her your pet. Not joking by the way.
And make her read whole Froggy's build for Nenio?
I think that even Marazhai would find it too cruel
Thank god he finally killed himself
the Black woman psychic i cannot stand. always babbling about exclipses and shadows baka. will replace at soonest chance
It's the Black woman part, not the psyker thing. Daemons are nowhere near as much of a menace.
I let Argenta torch her at the first chance.
Necron party member when?
>constant bickering with pascal
would love to see that
>reach Chapter 2
>you can now tell companions on the bridge to frick off
>even Cassia
How's that supposed to work? You lock her into the navi chamber and nail the doors?
real time combat, this game fricking sucks compared to kingmaker and wotr
>t. non-moron
And even with an upgraded ship, you still might get fricked by the RNG.
good thing toybox's kill all also works in space combat so you can skip them
.
fricking tell me about it, knife eared c**t
is argenta bush also white?
The Emperor demands his Daughters to be waxed clean
How the frick are you suppose to defeat a Necron Overlord that recharges his shield every turn and can basically one tap you with his staff?
IDK, gun go brrr
When was that? Final dungeon?
Its one of the fricked sidequest just like ulfars quest chain, you can teleport there using toybox its a secret path in the final dungeon or something
>trade carefully, rogue trader
Jimmi thinks he's Jae to advise me on trading.
>some of you guys are okay
>don’t go on Ganker tomorrow
Picture this:
The sister with a christmas hat
Yeah!
Can I sell/scrap ship parts I no longer need?
Also is there any point in upgrading ramming or should I just pump hull and that's it?
Just pump hull.
And yes, shit that does similar function with elss numbers should be sold.
Sister argenta! In my bed! Now!
Uh? Why are you doing that Abe? I want her alive
should I have brought pasqal along to kiava gamma? I didn't want to have 4 melee characters
pasqal should be plasma dispenser or a sniper
but as far as i remember, you get few lines from him but nothing game changing.
you need heinrich for a sidequest though.
Yes you get a servo skull if you do.
Abelard, announce Sister Argenta as my wedded wife.
An actual space elf romance please.
Bros I'm not even married yet and I already have a child!
You've been Lilo & Stitched. Sorry man, take care of your psychotic new offspring.
that massive fricking cope you didn't find a family you found a gaggle of FREAKS you ugly little alien
Who is the father?
So uhhh did is there a way to save THAT world? Besides, I think I made a mistake saving the poor and the nobles, but Argenta wanted me to do it... next time I'll destroy the planet as Heinrix proposed.
>save
Sure, if you have a spare sun hanging around.
I wish there was a sidequest for stealing a sun from commoragh.
Let me see
anons i need some help
i keep hearing about how good argent is
but i only ever get her to work with flamers
how the frick can she get good with a heavy bolter
she keeps missing half the time???
Get her the double rate of fire soldier ability. Accuracy doesn't matter with it.
i do have it but it still misses somehow
do you happen to know the buffs that are needed for this?
Just play arch militant and keep stacking versatility
just dont miss bro
>literal bunny boiler
>also auntie boiler
>now boiling heretics for the glory of the Emperor
Gotta love the Inquisition's hiring practices.
>just realized I missed the option to recruit Marazhai
oh well....
Women should be listening to and obeying their men, and those two are my men
how could you have missed him
he's the only marked guy in that laboratory
and you're there at least 3 times
Easy. Can't ask the deldar to get him out. I also missed the Iconoclast secret companion, because of course I did. I'm guessing he can't get his ass paralyzed.
>the Iconoclast secret companion
A bloodthirsty crazy dude?
Yes.
Not very iconoclasty imo
He was Khorne corrupted.
who that
>decide to get a merchant charter for Jae
>interplanetary fetch quest to get administratum rubber stamps
kek
wait until she tries to kiss you
W-w-what?..
she pulls you close and gives you a kiss once you complete the quest
Hot. Do I have to start a romance before it?
no she just does it
I am romancing the fish but Jae keeps trying
Bros... she's trying to NTR the fish! How do we stop her!?
Ewwww imagine where that mouth has been
I kiss hookers, can't be worse than that
Tries. I told her “no” and she got flustered
And also get you drunk, frick you and broadcast it to the whole ship. The bawd is a menace.
How did I perform?
Abelard issues congratulations
Hehehe I'm proud of myself
The part in which you have to wait in line is even better.
I just tell Abelard to kill everything and it works.
She's so well-adjusted.
I love how pure and innocent she's
Those serfs are so lucky that lady Cassia is willing to be merciful
I'm mostly dogmatic but I try to be reasonable but peasants are moroner so I'm not going to be nice anymore
How do I get Pasqal to actually hit something? Everyone says to just give him a plasma gun but when I do he always has a sub 50% chance to hit
Why did everyone in my city become mantis armed monstrosities?
When I saw that scene I thought those were huge pompadours
clearly they're all mutants and must be purged
playing a pirated version, hitting 80°+ degrees in my 2060 super, does the steam version run like dogshit too? thinking of just buying if it works better.
That's just how owlcat games are
Bump vsync to every fourth frame, my 3080ti was trying to recreate chernobyl until I did that. I'm fairly sure the frame limiter isn't working or something like that.
You guys weren't kidding when you said Heinrix was both thirsty and dense simultaniously.
Didn't even notice the daemon goo or "secret" (open door) chaos altar.
Who can chicks frick, actually? Him and deldar?
Jae too
wew theres shit behind your bed
Hey what the frick is he doing on my bed?
Declaring Sexterminatus
Did you take him to elf rape planet or leave him on the ship?
It's the same for both genders, what anon is saying is that you don't get the "me or her" scene with Heinrix and Yrliet, whereas you do with Cassia/Jae and Yrliet.
Are you serious? What the frick?!
That's what he's claiming, I'm not a gay who plays a female character so I don't know if it's true or not.
I'm okay-ish with it. It's the other women who are jealous, the elf doesn't give a frick.
Do you have to do anything special to keep Heinrix when going full chaos?
The game not to bug the frick out in Act 4 so I can play again
This but I wish to die instead and the death of all women
Is there anything to do at The Bottomless Pit?
you can jump in
I apparently got a permanent buff for telling the darkness to take a hike.
That's a WOTR reference isn't it?
You can either appease the darkness and get a buff depending on your choices or subdue it (need to find 3 hidden awareness checks on the map)
They really stopped caring at this point
Bro your psyker?
My Assassin MC had similar stats at that point with a Cassia buff, no big deal
The combat in this game makes me appreciate Colony Ship so much more.
I'm waiting for more updates before playing it. They already added content once, so.
Just frick him, he's too horny to give a shit.
>tfw this thing auto resolves every single warp combat encounter for you.
Daemon doggo is best doggo
So you can have two daemon engines, one from a random space hulk somewhere?
How? I encountered the one in the hulk and the two at the end of forge world and never had the option to bring one back. Hell, I had the same party as you for the boss fight with the two of them and nothing like what's in the pic happened.
Between:
>Get Back in the Fight!
>Air of Authority
>Move, Move, Move!
>Take Aim!
Which 2 should I pick for my Officer?
>>Get Back in the Fight!
>>Air of Authority
I took these 2 Air of authority is strong because an extra action point can mean a lot and get back in the fight clearing stuns is also uber useful
Take Aim and Move, Move, Move
Enjoy giving your arch militant a combined +5 attacks minimum
The last two are fantastic.
I tried a few of the other options to see what effect they had, Cassia ending up getting +5 Willpower seems a lot better than +2WS for my MC.
There's also an achievement but I have no idea of how to unlock it.
Subduing it is supposed to give you the achievement but it is bugged
>but it is bugged
That explains it.
I want to physically slap Idra myself
I've read that Eurac V is harder if you wait to do it last, after the prison and Rykard Minoris. Is that true and if so, in what way?
dumb question, but if you're the scion of the rogue trader dynasty then your last name is already decided, yeah?
when they ask for your character's name it's only the first name
I started as a noble and in the very beginning introduced myself with a name that was like ten words long but yes, you change your name to simply "X von Valancius" after you take your position.
thanks anon
Can you recruit companions you've missed with toybox or editor?
I missed Jae
>End of act 1 fights
>Team finally not racking up injuries and traumas with every fight
>Things seem to be going well
>Last fight
>Get absolutely fricking rolled
I thought that fight was going to be a continue if you lose one
I thought that fight was the hardest in the beta, and now that the full game is out and I reached the final chapter I think it's the hardest in the game
>can't touch, embrace, kiss, hold hands, or rub her ears
>can slap her, whip her, humiliate her, kill her, make her your pet, and mindbreak her
Do the writers hate Yrliet or something?
She would rather die than be touched by a filthy mon-keigh.
>reach the whoe jae stamp quest
>shit is bugged and can't be completed
>last save was about 1 hr ago
t-thanks.
So can I reverse romace progression via mods or Toybox?
Goddamn whens the next patch
Also excited for our inevitable FreeBoota Ork DLC companion but Kroot would be cooler probably
Next thursday
we REALLY need a Freeboota
>Ork bromance ending where you leave everything to Abelard and frick off to fight shit with your ork buddy
I wish.
They won't give us anything that cool.
They already announced the DLC, its a death cult assassasin and a judge dredd.
We aren't going to get any cool xenos for our retinue, despite that being one of the main gimmicks availilble to RTs.
Should I even bother upgrading the ship's ram?
Are you planning on ramming? That's all you need to ask yourself.
Probably not unless if it can be upgraded so much that you take zero damage from ramming.
Then don't waste your scrap because ramming works like shit in this game.
not really worth it, majority of the time you're not ever lined up for a good ram anyway since everything is more maneuverable than you and you shouldn't be that close to anything bigger than you unless it's just to end the combat
So how/when do you recruit the alignment companions because I don't want to miss them and have to reload hours earlier
>coerce a young soldier to give me classified information
>brutally mutilate him for giving it to me
Goddamn, you can be a monster in this game and I love it.
>Do Kiava before Janus
>Janus is full of 100% skill checks
>Absolutely roll the first few encounters
I think the game really wanted me to do it the other way around
Give me ONE reason to not murder the farseer here and now
I genuinely trust Marazhai more than this c**t, at least I can guess what a Drukhari could want at any given time.
It actually works well in the end if you let xenos and human coexist.
Epilogues are a shitshow. Especially with the nomos ending, nothing takes it in into account.
>Jimmi becomes the new inquisitor of the expanse and starts purging left and right
>...but janus and its xenos are left alone
What a bro.
No halo device either. It also shouldn't make the wearer bloodthirsty right off the bat. Boo.
Inquisitors almost always end up that way, their level of education and intelligence allows them to understand that humanity has allies against chaos that won't frick them over on principle, only when it benefits them. Of course there's some that go full morons and go as far as to use daemonhosts, but they don't tend to be around for long.
kys elffricker
Actually I'm a fishfricker.
Fish kek'ed me in the end. I think the studio embraced it's meme namesake.
Skill issue
The gift giving bit is fricked, maybe that was it. I was trying to be as sexually aggressive as possible.
No, act 4 in general is fricked, most companion questlines are bugged
Some pirates want me to hand over Jae and now I'm getting filtered by 3 fricking pirate ships. Any tips for ship combat
Use Idira's warp power to make ships turn so they can't shoot you.
use your abilities
have you manned your stations? are you using the abilities? also one of the world missions will give you a friendly sabre that'll fly around pelting shit with plasma guns
Turn the difficulty to easy and don't bother
try and fish around (read: savescum until you find one) easy enough encounters and sell shit to the imperial navy until they give you decent gear
I completed all encounters and want even close to max level with Navy. Like three levels away. The last optional Necron fight is doable anyway. I just kept running away and spamming torpedoes.
Man, you just needed to kill the ship with the necron lord.
There is a Necron lord? I am taking about the fight with two light cruisers.
>Argenta's astray quest is apparently still bugged
That's in fricking act 2, I thought that with last week's patch they would have fixed it
Reminder that this talent turns your character into a monster and your entire party into tanks and will probably be nerfed down at some point.
Thank god for Toybox and free respecs, I don't wanna dump my elf waifu yet, but I've been having a hard time justifying her in the party.
>cluster
You are doing it wrong, you take the ability that puts a stack on the enemy with the most exploits at the start of the round, the ability that gives anyone that does an attack near you +1 exploit, and the one that adds +1 to all exploit gains then have an officer give you a turn throw down a stack of exploits on whoever has the most then Tactical just it to clear 30 and give your whole party 60% armour. Plus it stacks so you can easily break 40 stacks.
>the one that adds +1 to all exploit gains
Which one is that? I haven't seen it anywhere, feels like something I'd instapick.
Comprehensive Analysis, so correction doesn't affect Reactive Study but does help with Continuous Analysis.
>Shereen
God she's so fricking ugly. Does ANYONE like her?
I don't like her but my RT is banging her just to flex his banging skills on the plebs and to acquire an awesome pet.
It would have been nice if they implemented ways of avoiding most if not all of it entirely, or just letting you gigachad your way through parts of Commorragh on your own terms.
>unavoidable book event where you instantly die if you didn't specialize in specific skills for MC
What skills?
Argenta with Heavy Bolter spec'd for area bursts.
Argenta with lore inappropriate sniper rifles including xenos rifles sniping everything without care even early and without being cucked by bolter abysmal to hit% until Arch Militant
>act 4 starts
>all bridge events for companions trigger at the same time
>they cancel eachother and I don't get any dialogue or quests
>game completely gives up trying to sequence it and breaks down crying (picrel)
So... this is the power of act 4 I was warned about...
im wondering, did you have elf in the party when you were kidnapped
Yes, does it break it? Great, that's only ONE FRICKING ACT AGO
you can fix it with toybox
I never used toybox for anything except respec, how would one go about doing that?
this copypasta worked for me
- Go to the Rogue Trader's quarters on the ship (this is important or it won't work)
- Go to 'Etudes' in Toybox and type 'brief' in the search field
- Look for 'KTC_Chapter4Start_Briefing' and expand the 'elements' dropdown
- When in your room, click Play scene KTC_Ch4Start_Briefing'
I got the briefing, this is why Abelard's quest triggered as you can see
The problem is that I was visited by Idira, the moment she reached my desk she disappeared and I was visited by Heinrix, the moment he reached my desk he disappeared and I was visited by Jae, and when she reached my desk guess what happened.
Then the game went in crisis and so I got my desk in space
the problem most have is when you don't have her
so yours probably fricked some other way
I really want to give elf b***h over the Jimmi Hendricks after chapter 3 but fricking b***h is so useful both in combat and on the ship combat I hate to do it, but letting her get away with what she did is cucked beyond belief.
They were told that the whole betrayal looks moronic (as it was written) and they promised to Elf-simps that they will change it, but, unless there is some bug which is causing her personal quest and MC quests to cross somewhere durring the Second Act with dialogue/etude to switch from her betrayl to dumb Inquisitor acolyte (no not Jimmy), it remained the same
>Because they obviously pandered to fujos with romances
Cassia is for fujos?
>Cassia is for fujos?
Jimmy, 50 shades of knife eared grey
That's vanilla womancore, nothing to do with fujos.
>they promised to Elf-simps that they will change it
No, they just said that they will telegraph it better kek
Did you have her flogged?
in the beta I just told Henrix he can have her, this time I'm just starting act 3 unfortunately
>Putting Tristian on the same level of these morons
His betrayal was good and made him better
She is truly perfect, isn't she?
>based moron
>soft spot for kids
Ye
She's too much like Amiri for my comfort. I have been hurt enough.
>best girl is not romanceable
The longer a fight goes the stronger the team gets. If I don't lose in the first 2-3 rounds the fight is over. Sanctics, Officers, Argenta and Cassia are too much for the game, they break it totally.
Love eldar, respect eldar, be kind to eldar
What happens if I simply don't take elf when I get kidnapped? In fact what happens to the party members you don't take with you at all?
Companions that you don't take with you stay on the ship.
yeah but do they end up getting murderfricked on Commoraoguah or were they just sitting on their thumbs while I was gone
They wait for you and the others to come back.
wow what a great a loyal crew of companions
How are they supposed to get into Commoragh? They don't know what happened until you come back.
>Be the rogue trader
>Go on the bridge deck after fricking with Jae
>Everyone on the bridge, from officers to technomats to servitors starts clapping and cheering
>Abelard has tears in his eyes
>the whole crew starts chanting RO-GUE TRA-DER RO-GUE TRA-DER
So she will not be able to betray you?
The betrayal happens regardless.
She will be drinking in lonelines
Apparently if you frick Jae she broadcasts the whole thing on vox and your officers and companion compliment you.
That's a pretty Rogue Trader thing to do, nothing out of the ordinary.
I never got this scene as a fem trader.
Whatever. I went for Jimmy anyway
I imagine something like Evangelion ending were everyone is saying congratulations and clapping.
Thank you everyone
Zapp Brannigan mindset
>Abelard, I have mated with a woman. Inform the men.
Kino
Please help.
Get lost , moron. That joke got old
>Replying
That ACT 4 end dungeon and end fight especially are such giga bullshit. Performance tanked to a crawl and everything is overtuned. I turned it to Story difficulty with 0 regrets
You really have to kill the head marine asap. Soon as gives himself extra turns it's all over.
pirategay here, are the games bugs fixed or mostly fixed by now? I dont wanna bother downloading another version in a few weeks
Come back in a year.
I regret falling for the release hype.
The game breaks in half after act 3
And even act 2 and act 3 are still kinda bugged
First 3 act are fine, a bug here and there but manageable. Acts 4 and 5 are completely broken.
But seriously, where the frick are two handed chainsaws? There is a "priestly" player portrait with one of these.
You can find an eviscerator, eventually.
I did not. I wasn't focusing Drusian shop if it's in there, didn't even get it to 50000.
No, I think you can actually find it somewhere in chapter 4. It's literally called "Eviscerator".
Pure kino, right there.
>start act 4
>return to voidship
>every companion has pitchforks out for yrliet
>...but not the the fricking kabalist that raided and tortured our people
>he even joins in to mock yrliet
>best you can do is to hand him over to jimmi on the bridge
what the FRICK man i get being angry over the betrayal of yrliet (not really even a betrayal but endangering the party due to her dumb actions) but the dude who literally tortured people and kidnapped them gets to go scott free?
>not really even a betrayal
She thought you destroyed you-know-what and sold you out to the deldar. There is nothing ambiguous there.
>slowly losing her shit travelling in human voidship due to slaanesh to find survivors from her dead craftworld
>still found no surviors after all that
>only lead is marazhai
>contact him and he says come to this place to find out what happened to your craftworld :^)
>ask rogue trader to bring her there, but hide source of information
>got fricked over herself as well
yeah like i said, moron behaviour but not really a betrayal
I still maintain that it makes no sense that they don't give you an option to kill him or at the very least tell him to frick off immediately after he helps you in the arena fight.
Every other character has a myriad moments where you get that choice, but for some reason the fricking Drukhari of all people gets stuck with you for an entire act before you can finally ask Heinrix to get rid of him? Frick off.
I waited for him to sperg out in realspace and then had Heinrix execute him.
You have to go out of your way to get him to aid you at the arena, aren't you just keeping him around while you're in Comorragh?
What? One of the first things that happen in chapter 4 is him going crazy due warp travel. You then get the option to kill him.
i want him arrested and then executed and his corpse paraded in dargonus though?
Why the frick did you invite him in the first place?
I mean you have to keep him for the entirety of act 3 if you get him to join you in the fight.
>You have to go out of your way to get him to aid you at the arena
It's one dialogue option that says "it's in your best interest to team up with me against your captor," I wouldn't call it going out of my way.
That dialogue option is only able to be done if you made certain choices beforehand.
Oh yeah? What choices?
Are the bugs that literally stop the main story from progressing fixed yet or is the game still unplayable?
Ok, i finally started the real game, I enterer to the planet on incognito mode. I think I'm to keep my saves and play the game again once they fix all the bugs.
I didn't got a single bug until now (i think)
Have fun
I left a negative review. I shouldn't need toybox to progress my companions quests. I never had this problem with wrath
I have no idea what the frick i’m doing with the archetypes. I’ve got 3 fricking operatives in my party and I don’t really understand how their abilities work. Same with the other archetypes. I can’t even seem to activate the Operator heoric action? It just doesn’t seem to work no matter what I do
>quarantine zone doesn't open if you give food to chorda
Anyway to fix this with toybox?
she cute
Why do all unity games have such ugly character models? This, Wasteland, Pathfinder, Mechanicus
Does the game expect me to be taking the skill talents because these checks are ridiculous on unfair
Yes, it's doable for Demolition & Tech Use & the 3 Dialogue ones, but shit like Lore Warp is forever stuck at 0-50%
>the game is unfair on unfair
Indeed
I just didn't think I would see Pasqal having a below 40% tech use check so much
Yes, you need to specialize main stats, skill picks during level ups and both skill talents to have 80%+ chance on skill checks.
I’m still early in the game, but am I moronic or are sniper rifles just the best weapon in the game? They do frickloads of damage and hit reliably. Everything else I see just doesn’t seem to compare. I know for people like Argenta things like her bolter are better for her, but I just find myself equipping everyone with a sniper rifle as their secordary for when they can’t do their psyker shit or melee shit
>are sniper rifles just the best weapon in the game?
Early game, yes.
Mid-End game, burst rules supreme. Shotguns have their own utility.
Thanks.
toybox, just bind "Kill all enemies" in the first tab to some keycombo
>that brief hum Argenta does sometimes when you set her to walk somewhere, usually disarm a landmine
She's so perfect.
That and her describing her beautiful dream make her a 10/10, she's just an adorable murderhobo.
Seeing how fricking vile heretics usually are, she is absolutely correct.
>get Eldar skull from clerk dude on Janus
>start convo with Yrliet
>elantach this and Lilaethan that
>"cool story, yo, check out this dope skull"
>Yrliet reeees
Kek
stop bullying my wife
Playing a crude dumb moron crime lord is a lot of fun
Unpopular opinion: A frenship with male Eldar companion where he starts off seeing you as a filthy mon'keigh but as you do his quests and go through hell and back together he starts seeing you as his battle bro and true friend despite being a human would have been more kino than the romance shit with Yrliet.
Then just become friends with Yrliet and don't romance her
Nah she's a w*man
If you don't bother with her romance she just acts like a snobby b***h most of the time, with the exception of situations where she's sad and needs to be told that it's okay.
I don't like yrliet and don't want to be her friend. She is sad and pathetic
Being sad and pathetic is understandable when your soul is being eaten by a chaos god that your people murderfricked into existence and to top it all off your home is gone
Sure, i still don't want to be her friend though. Give me a harlequin or corsair instead. Even a male craftworlder would do
It would have been better off with no space elves at all, literally any other choice in those two party slots.
Camelia with a dick in space is good though
No he's not
I liked Garrus too
Garrus gets along just fine with Shepard from the getgo
Garrus is closer to Abelard if anything
Man, I just wanted an ork.
A Bloodaxe Kommando would probably be better than a Freeboota in this case.
They actually have a better understanding of how to be 'subtle', and are more commonly seen working as mercrnaries for human employers.
Would be cool having a big stelfy boy on the team.
>get an ork companion
>at the beginning he thinks you're just a flashy git, but as the story goes on he starts respecting you
>in the end, he calls you "boss"
best feeling.
This.
Yrliet is too disgusted to touch you even when she romances you, but a elder guy would give you a bro hug to comfort you after Deldar torture.
>Murders a bunch of Deldar torturing RT and busts him out then gives him bro hug
>"B-but Aithar I thought you were too disgusted to even touch a human"
>"You're not a mere mon'keigh to me anymore RT, in my eyes you are my brother in arms...and my friend"
>Retvrn bro hug and kills hordes of deldar together
>brofist in the end
>is the best man at your wedding
>but a elder guy would give you a bro hug to comfort you after Deldar torture
Well, I'm sure he would in this fanfic you just made up
Yeah because he's not a woman
This is the gayest thing I've read in these threads and there is some heavy competition
>male friendship = le gay
troony propaganda and porn fried zoomzoom brains
No, male friendship isn't gay, your post is
Also a male eldar would treat you like shit just like a female one moron
How is it gay exactly?
>Also a male eldar would treat you like shit just like a female one moron
Women can't experience friendship like men
Based and high test
Crinne and low test
Motherfricker I want my 40k to be DOOM meets the Event Horizon and not friendship is magic: topgun in space edition.
Having a space bro to kill thousands of enemies with is pretty damn 40K
No, that's halo. Picking up a half broken lasgun from your freshly eviscerated spacebro, and beating a chaos demon with the broken stock only to either turn into a demon of a different alignment ten minutes later or be executed for seeing a demon is more along the lines for 40k.
You're an edgy homosexual and the reason 40k is shit, because people took the ridiculous setting too SERIOUS BUSINESS
Riddle me where does the casual PG-13 bioware bants tier humor and a fistbump from your xeno space bro fit in that one.
shut up nightlord, you don't know shit about the setting
grimdark supposed to be an overly edgy tagline because it's funny
Hey, better a night lord than a gaylord like yourself
Anon do you not know what satire is
> I want my 40k to be DOOM meets the Event Horizon
40k needs to be funny as well, otherwise the writers are just missing the point
This. RT is star trek but good.
I think that's roughly where the game ends. The remainder is so bug ridden it makes wonder if the whole warp reality frickery is real.
Nuh uh, brotherhood-in-arms doesn't exist, you WILL have gay sex.
I think that anon would like that
That's pretty much what you got with Yrliet.
Lorelet here, is it true this was retconed? If so, why?
The origins of 40k used to be something more fantastical and less set in stone, it was a smaller enterprise.
You could have a half-eldar ultramarine librarian, or female space marines.
Reached chapter 4, I will stop playing for a month or two until patches. Simple as.
>Mostly Positive (4,332)
grim indeed
I wish for a patch that finishes the latter half of the game. I am enjoying chapter one quite a lot, but I don't want to continue knowing chapter 4 and 5 can be awfully messy when it comes to quests and general bugs.
I waited like 2 years before even starting pathfinder and I wish I wouldn't have to wait that long to play a relatively bug free game.
LMAO. The fricking Seize the Initiative bug also crops up in Deldar murderrapetown. I cross the chain to avoid the encounter and still get pulled into battle with the infinite looping extra turn.
How does Yrliet apologize for the betrayal?
By betraying you again.
By taking a bolter round to the face from Argenta
I mean come on give it a rest and stop trying to defend this shit, everything about her is horribly written.
>she betrays you again
How?
Depends on your choices during the confrontation between the Inquisition and Eldar.
Never happened in my game
By being sent to the inquisition's oubliettes as part of my mating ritual gift for jimmi
What's the point of navigator insights?
You only read them to downgrade red routes.
Yellow and orange ones are benefictial (events, story, flavour, loot etc).
>le ebin grim derp you guys
>it's so dheep and heckin edge
Does this shit even do anything? Also, I fricking love hammers in this game, they haven't felt this great since Fallout 2.
I think battle servitors show up in random battles on your ship when warp demons appear.
Marzipan? Heinrix is stronger.
Ulbrig? Argenta is stronger.
Hopefully the DLC companions will be worth anything.
Imagine if we got a lad like this on the team instead of that ridiculous dark eldar. Massive improvement.
he's coming in the dlc
never ever anon
No he isn't, we already know what we're getting. A Death Cult assassin and a Adeptus Arbites.
god damn those suck
https://store.steampowered.com/app/2687230/Warhammer_40000_Rogue_Trader__Season_Pass/
As the past of House von Valancius begins to present itself in a new light, the Rogue Trader faces difficult decisions that may affect the future of the entire Koronus Expanse.
Over the course of this story, you will get a chance to learn more about the collection of the Imperial Tithe, otherwise known as the Grand Harvesting. Interfere with this fundamental process of the Imperium at your own peril. Discover new areas, game mechanics, and archetypes — and of course, encounter new horrors of the Immaterium.
I hope DLC actually includes early power armors for DLC content and promised new archetypes actually also include new psyker disciplines or even chaos magic.
Do power armors need high strength? That's a dump stat on my RT
The only one your RT can use actually gives you extra strength instead. But it is rather useless at the point you get it.
I just found out who killed my Aunt.
Holy shit I thought it was a meme.
Argenta is so fricking BASED, GOD I wish she were a RO.
It was 100% correct course of action for the character though.
>on Janus, trying to figure out what the frick is going on
>local police trying to poison rebel teenager
>talk to the kid
>yabbayabba
>both Iconoclast and Dogmatic choices are to just shoot him in the face
Kino
>”Abelard, tell the fat mutant in the garish red outfit what I want for Sanguinala.”
Is it me or is Kiava Gamma unusually overtuned if you do it last?
I was full of tanky enemies that could one shot my dudes.
The Janus mission before that Drukh-breaking encounter of on Foulstone that I did after that were a breeze in comparison.
Daring btw.
>Foulstone
I mean Vheabos
You get a bunch from planter projects and main quest progression, you'll have more than you know what to do with by the end of Act 2.
Not really, at that point in the game you should already have advanced archetypes going and depending on your party it should be a breeze.
On daring enemies never got a turn by that point, including the boss fight.
How do you acquire more Extractums, is it purely through trade?
Some planetary projects and random events.
Okay.
Why does Owlcat hate orks?
Because they're based
Orks are the most based part of 40k
>reddit the race
>based
Imagine there's a smug anime girl attached to my post
imagine thinking space football hooligans are the reddit faction
>70 hours playtime
>Just completed Chapter 2.
By the Emperor how long is this game.
What the frick are you doing?
hes probably reading everything and exploring everything like me
I also had around those hours when I entered act 3
Act 2 is the longest and most coherent act in the game.
3 and 5 are very short and 4 is medium length but has pacing issues, feels like a villain of the week show.
WTF they were doing?
Aside from chapter 4 game has barely new content but its still bugged as frick.
Beta was supposed to be 50% of the game, yet it was about 70-80% of full game.
People ITT beat the game in a few days somehow.
It's extremely short though
>Read, don't listen
>Have correct builds
40 hours, act 5 enjoyer.
>The random zoom-ins during space-battles
Why?
>order to give Yrliet lashes
>Marzahai gives a "god I wish that was me" look
Jesus christ this guy
Why a Ogryn heavy melee DPS companion for the DLC is inevitable.
Any Abhuman would be good.
Ogryn,
Ratling,
Imperial Beastman,
Felinid...
>Felinid
Furrgays begone
