The white woman's archetype.
Gonna play it for the first tiem bros. what sho+uld i play as, sanctic psyker paladin, shotta boy imperial guard or a just basic human male fighter?
typical white women
>sanctic psyker paladin, shotta boy imperial guard or a just basic human male fighter
did you even look at the classes in this game and how they work
I played the beta so yes.
Then why did you say "gonna play it for the first tiem bros" and then ask a moronic question
I am gonna play it for the first time on the release version. Now stop being a homosexual and answer my question on which is more fun to play as
They're all shit, bud. Now have at it.
Go to the wiki, check the origins, then build around that
Soldier/Warrior -> Arch Militant is fun.
Soldier-aim for bolters and heavy weapons and rapid fire and watch everything melt infront of you
Warrior-is quite boring in it self that is to say it's not bad in anyway but there is nothing exciting about it the same thing in any other game
Officer- the MOST boring class of all as you will be doing nothing really if you want to bore yourself to death pick this but don't say i didn't warn you
Psycher- the "mage" but not really, funny enough psycher benefits from melee weapons far far more than ranged if you want to be a warrior that is actually fun to play go here
>Officer- the MOST boring class of all as you will be doing nothing really if you want to bore yourself to death pick this but don't say i didn't warn you
Making everyone else strong while not being able to fight for shit? Sissy energy, couldn't be me. Imagine being a "buffer" or "healer" as a man.
Imagine trusting your life to a woman doctor, kek.
You'd let another man touch your prostate?
funny thing is anyone can be a healer with a single pick in medic skill it's the perfect pick for a ranged PC too
>Warrior-is quite boring
You kidding, right? I made Abelard a Vangaurd and watched him solo the entire game as I continuously buffed him with my biomancer psyker. Regeneration plus warp speed plus iron arm combined with defensive stance and rockrete made him into an unstoppable dodge tank who instant parries and counters everything, thunder hammering his way across the expanse.
I will totally be playing as a dogmatic imperial loyalist paladin in a few months once the bugs are ironed out.
DIE CHAOS WORSHIPPER!
I could have fixed her bros.....
Owlcat notorius for cuting good content. That's one of them.
Oh, she will..
What is there to 'fix'? She's the only suitable governor.
The planet is literally going to shit
It's terribly inefficient to kill your agricultural world, without speaking of the revolts
simp she is poisoning the planet with slaanesh/chaos taint.
>heretic wienersleave slowly turning the world into an uninhabitable daemon infested shithole
>suitable
big cringe
only the Magos Biologis can save Janus from this shitshow
Is there any way to save her or does she just get killed at the end of Act 2 by the inquisition no matter what?
She is blatant cut content, back in the alpha if you were a heretic you could ask her about her cult in detail.
>play a heretic
>tell her you know about her intentions after defeating the eldar on Janus
>pick heretic option to keep her secret
>she remains governer
It's.. that simple. As long as you don't remove her from her post you should be good.
That doesn't actually work. I picked the heretic option that actively supported her and asked her to keep using her powers for me, and the Inquisitor still said he's going to kill her.
To be clear, I'm not talking about Hendrix. I'm talking about the capital I Inquisitor you meet at the end of the Act before you get kidnapped.
Oh you have to tell Calcazar that you're keeping an eye on her.
Waiting 6-9 months for full release
I got softlocked 2 and a half hours in so I’m going to put it on the backburner for now. I have enjoyed what I’ve played, and I’m surprised at how good the performance is considering it’s an Owlcat game.
Just shot Idira in the face. Will I miss out on anything besides her quest? I figure I'll keep her alive on my heretic playthrough.
Wait if I didn't get Cassia's Habsburg visual bug does it mean I avoided romance bug as well?
That has nothing to do with it, Cassia's face bug happens when you give her a two handed weapon
>Cassia's face bug happens when you give her a two handed weapon
I gave her lasgun and she stayed the same without changing her face
Yeah it stays, you have to reset to fix it I think
crazy how shit people are at the game. half the steam forums is people b***hing about any inkling of difficulty this game has
The idea of learning mechanics, using tactics and getting better at a game is lost on people now
It's funny, I ended up following a build guide for my RT since I had no experience with system and expected my MC to carry like in the pathfinder games. But my RT is basically irrelevant because anyone with above room temp IQ realizes how powerful free turns are in a turn based system and having both Jae and Cass jerk off a heavy bolter means everythign fricking dies in the first turn. Hell, before halfway through the first turn.
Your MC should have been a better version of Jae, she's just locked into awful talents and stats. Buffed Cassia kills everything with her homosexualy navigator abilities that bunch everyone up anyways, Argenta is just on clean up detail.
It's not like what jae does actually matters, she gives my bolter b***h flat damage buffs on her rapid fire 8/16 heavy bolter and free turns. Does it really matter which character is killing every enemy if every enemy dies before they even get their turn? Argenta has very high agility and Cassia always gets the first turn fo course. She's the emprahs favorite princess after all.
Oh, yeah. My RT could and did absolutely solo encounters before I got the heavy bolter but if he's lower on the initative order then I might as well kill everything with Argenta. Maybe it'll swing back around to him again in the later acts for high armor bosses since he's better single target than Argie is.
I mean, if officer giving free turns is good, your MC becomes relevant if he is one of the people getting free turns.
You can be a better soldier than Argenta or melee than Abelard and Heinrix.
The only talents completely beyond your reach are navigator ones
I played chapter 2 for 4 hours today and I have literally nothing of interest to say about it. Footfall may go as the laziest city in crpg history. Nothing in this game is fun to explore or interact with, it's pathfinder all over again. What can I even say? The mini game is fun this time at least.
For me? It's Jae.
X to doubt
She has the best romance ending.
Positively surprised.
I hated WotR but I'm having fun for now.
I'm executing everything and everyone at the first chance while a repugnant baby chants my name. The balck woman, the thief with the alien tech, soldiers, etc. Bullet to the head solves every problem.
>Rogue Trader running a game of Rogue Trader

The final fight of act 3 is the most bulllshit thing I've seen in a game in a long while, I'm truly impressed
It's good tbh. Playing on PS5 and it works better than I expected.
>hardlocked in Comorragh
>Arena waypoint simply does not respond for whatever reason
>last save was 1 hour ago
No one should be playing the game yet.
Its both a crpg and an owlcat game, wait for patches.
Personally I'm waiting until they drop the DLC packs.
The game is basically unplayable without toybox at act 3 and beyond.
Which is impressive because it's extremely far from bug free in the first two acts.
what is your prefered method for dealing with units with high dodge, such as eldars?
>Argenta has the item where single shot cannot miss
>Cassia abilities debuff and do not care about dodge
>Heinrix assasin shit and debuffs land surprinsgly consistently
>Pasql further buffs, debuffs and applies exploits and prey
My officer cheers everyone and Abelard attarcts attention
>Argenta has the item where single shot cannot miss
People keep mentioning this. Where is it? I've already done Cass/Prison and I just got Pasqal so I hope I haven't already missed it.
Also how the frick do I build Pasqal? I don't wanna respec too much and tank my purchasing value. I've already respecced my MC once thinking it was free.
I have it on Argenta and I just left footfal.
So it is either one of the merchants at relatively early tier, the one planet I colonized offering it as reward or just an item from footfall quest.
Easiest Pasqal build is Debuffer ranged.
It works really well with a second operative in the party to stack exploits. Any talent that stacks more or makes the debuffing better. And so his INT will boost both isamage and bonuses and his defenive capabilities. Keep up his ballistic a bit.
Bounty hunter to spread prey is also good. He can equip more than you think as a tech priest (shoot plasma rifles all around)
Debuff their dodge is kind of the obvious one. Yrilet is your natural counter since the mission you get her is designed to show that part off. I personally murder them with my pyromancer since even if they dodge his melee swings they still take ignite damage. To say nothing of shit like burning blood and backdraft. Melee in general does a pretty good job of killing them since it seems much easier to hit them with it.
Is it the usual Owlcat release where everything is bugged and half the abilities just don't work?
Not exact standard Owlcat, closer to Owlc
The genestealer ambush was kino
The Omnissiah has blessed this unit with an infinite number of plasma shots in one turn. The Rogue Trader should note that this is a relative term, as the number of shots will not nearly approach infinity, but sufficiently expresses the carnage in which this unit terminates every hostile in the current vicinity.
This vox user appears to be unable to control their own bodily function. They desire to engage in frivolous sexual acts with members of the same corporeal form as them. This greatly lowers their efficency and renders them suboptimal as a servant of the Imperium. More evidence that flesh is weakness.
My database suggests that the appropriate term is "flaming homosexual". Lobotomization highly recommended.
They should have given us a cruiser as our flagship.
We're coming into an establish RT Dynasty, in-game space battles we're expect to fight alone against multiple enemy ships. Would have made much more sense than sticking us in a Frigate.
So how to find secret room in captain bedroom to prevent certain events in 3-4 acts without going heretic in prologue?

They should have add a Tau as the Xeno to romance
They really should have, we didn't need two eldar. We needed an ork or a tau.
Space Elves were the most boring choices they could have made.
Would have rather had an Ogryn, Ratling or Imperial Beastman instead of those two.
Ogryn is a good choice too. The 'Gav and Bob' fanfiction made me really like them.
I can sort of see why they leaned elves, since like yrilet proved, you can pass them off as mutants to most people.
If you had an ork or tau companion, thery'd need to add a lot of dialogue to people going HOLY SHIT A XENOS or it'd feel a bit strange
Just make sure they wear their Sanctioned Xenos papers in a laminated folder hanging clearly visible from a collar on their neck, s'cool.
>not a daemonette larping as a pure and innocent secretary that gets gangbanged every terran cycle by the sailors from the lower decks
NGMI
I won't let interdimensinal immigrants take our jobs, not even Jae's
Yes.
I'm so mad the Xeno romance character is also the character they give their worst written yet betrayal plot to there's just no way no matter what kind of playthrough to justify keeping her around after that. Why do the insist on always having the betrayer companion anyway why do they always have the same story beats to their games can't these hacks be original. Can't they have at least given the betrayal plot to anyone else.
>their worst written yet betrayal plot
No, that would be Wendog, and they changed it so Yrliet doesn't betray you if you do things right
How do you get fricked into dark eldar town if she isn't the one to betray you anyway?
my game said it was the inquisitor rep on dragonus
>if you do things right
How do I avoid the betrayal then?
Also what said
what happens if you don't even recruit her
>they changed it so Yrliet doesn't betray you if you do things right
They didn't
You can have a perfect score and she'll still betray you. It's not about what you do, but about what she sees in your room.
>but about what she sees in your room.
So even if I tell her that's just something o I inherited she still betrays me?
She knows it's Theodora's, but just seeing it made her seethe and feel helpless
That's dumb but what really gets me is that after that but before the betrayal she comes to you saying she notices you being burden by your responsibilities and wants to help you ease them with the meditation thing. Like are we cool or not? I thought she calmed down and got over it. Why can't Owlcat at least keep things consistent.
Because owlkek jank is the consistent element. People assume they are better than they are because the genre was so defunct.
>People assume they are better than they are because the genre was so defunct.
It's mostly because pathfinder gays already have extremely low standards so they don't see anything wrong with the game as long as it has pathfinder in the title.
Real time is a shit system and they brought decent turn based on kingmaker. Pillars/etc were 4/10 games that hate fun. Owlkeks at least embrace breaking the system to the point they stat inflate to try and keep things difficult because they know how intimate their players know the systems
>Owlkeks at least embrace breaking the system to the point they stat inflate to try and keep things difficult
Translation: they can't into game design
>Pillars/etc were 4/10 games that hate fun
Huh? You can make insanely broken characters in poe, and with fun item interactions rather than just bloated stats. Not the games fault your dumb.
All you do in owlcat games is insert a build and watch the boring encounters play out. I can't think of less fun games.
It's surprising how so many people fail to figure out said builds or pilot them when they read guides for it then.
The issue is people thinking they can be or do anything when thats not how it really works, and owlcat fans will happily lie to them to make another sale, so they make parties with shit synergy. I see clueless beginners gravitate to these games like flies to shit because all the false promises.
So is it that easy or is it not?
And what false promise?
It is easy when you know how rpgs work. Like you know how anime fighting games are a really dumb version of real fighting games, but beginners are attracted to them because they are very flashy, and are ultimately out of their depth because they cant percieve all the underlying system bloat properly and adapt to it? It's like that. Better to learn street before ggacr or blazblue, but people assume the latter is complicated due to sheer ignorance and listen to the idiots playing those games rather than people who know what theyre doing.
>anime fighting games are a really dumb version of real fighting games,
If you know rpgs as well as you know fighting games, I can easily disregard whatever you say.
I bet you're a huemonkey.
Wrong continent.
Though, I do wonder how far you extend the anime fighter umbrella.
Does it include KoF and GG? Is it for ore prominent airdashers or based on anime properties, like Melty, DBFZ, Under Knight in Birth or perhaps Arcana force?
The more obscure and/or fanservice titles like Arcana heart ?
Or just kusoge like Fist of the North Star and Sengoku Basara X?
>Though, I do wonder how far you extend the anime fighter umbrella
Any air dasher that isn't Marvel. SNK is a whole different set of moronation.
It's a shame. I do like UMvC3 and still play MvC1 and XmenvsF on fightcade. But you are a tryhard pleb. I guess I am reminded why I do not discuss fighters on Ganker. It's likely the second worst genre possible to discuss.
>still play MvC1 and XmenvsF on fightcade
I have like 300 hours in mvc2 on fc2 alone.
>not discuss fighters on Ganker
Good, keep those opinions to yourself.
Yeah, instead we need more morons generalizing and calling dozens of games shit cause they refuse to move away from the one janky game they got obsessed with. It's good to see that you bring down the level on the discussion of any genre
You couldn't even remember what arcana heart was called, I couldn't give less of a shit about your shallow and topical interest in whatever piece of trash rolls your way
Hm.
>The more obscure and/or fanservice titles like Arcana heart ?
The frick are you talking about, you moronic spic?
Your shitty tastes cannot be fixed, but at least remember what the frick you responded to.
>he doesn't know
Your company made a mediocre game and you are trying to shill it as a mustplay
Frick off
Owlcat hit a goldmine with warhammer because they're the only shiteaters on par with their current fanbase. Expect many more low quality GW collabs.
Gladius or whatever xcom one I heard was decent but still pretty limited. At least the 40k games are getting better.
>Gladius or whatever xcom one I heard was decent but still pretty limited
It's just a shit version of nucom which is already really shit. People play these games because of the IP.
For me it's the fact that her chapter 4 quest is broken, so even if you forgive/romance her you won't get to see the conclusion of her character arc anyway
They should have made the female spaceelf sniper a female ratling sniper instead (and kept her as a romance option)
>there's just no way no matter what kind of playthrough to justify keeping her around after that.
If you forgive her and talk to her later in Commorragh she explains that her original intention was to free you and execute the Deldar before they could drag you to Commorragh as soon as she had her information; the problem is that she didn't suspect the Deldar had no intention of giving her the info on her kin to begin with and were just using her as bait.
>the problem is that she didn't suspect the Deldar had no intention of giving her the info
This is something that would only make sense for a tau companion.
Yeah it's unbearably naive
honestly makes me want a Tau companion even more, completely autistically unaware of how others operate socially and taking everything at face value.
I can't stand Tau, as a tiny power in the galaxy not tied to any important backstory or metaplot they never deserved to be an army list.
But they got so much shilling because they are the weeb-bait faction.
>If you forgive her and talk to her later in Commorragh
I did the we'll discuss this later and got to getting my revenge on the commissar and talked to her there but she made no mention of that
Also what
said a big part of the problem with this portrayal plot is how dumb her plan was. That and having such important plot shit so heavily tied to a companion who you can just not recruit. Seriously what happens if I don't recruit her how do I still end up in commorragh.
You have to talk to her in the Pitt, and you need to have completed your first arena fight in order to talk to your companions there. If you ask her she'll explain her thought process, but idk if it's affinity tied because my RT did her personal quest as well as dream sequence with her.
They've already announced the expansion content a year ahead of its release, they might as well release some concept art so we have an idea what we're getting.
Well?
Clean it up Jimmy.
The Elf party member was such a shitty idea.
An ork bloodaxe would have been more trustworthy.
Has anyone finished her romance is it really platonic lmao?
Games Workshop can't do an Eldar romance as good as the fans could.
>shizoslop
Sadly it is, 0% sex, all you do is meditate together.
To be fair, why would you expect a Craftworld Eldar to have sexual intercourse with a human?
After proper ammount of gaslighting and Kamoragg expirienced? Yes.
The price of an Aeldari soul is a worth a million times more than your perverted desires, mon-keigh
That's a flogging
Don't care.
Rogue trader ejaculated on her spirit stone
wait, she still betrays you no matter what?
I thought it was a bug from the beta...
Do not ask, "Why kill the alien?" Ask why not.
It is avoidable, but very hard. You must find craftworld piece before her
And is that possible without being a demon worshipping heretic?
Don't know
But I always bring her with me how is that even possible
4th option, is most cruel for eldar, so i choose that.
man discussion for this game is dead as frick lol
I mostly post about it on Ganker
Owlcats staff unironically relocated to Ganker.
Maybe people are playing it. I know, it might be hard to grasp, but it's an RPG and it's really fricking long. Also, so far nothing to discuss as barely anyone reached beyond what we saw in beta, which was talked through to death and beyond.
And also there is question of Ganker, 40k game is kind of a big deal enough to get space there.
What happens with Commorragh if you kill off the elf as soon as you meet her instead of bringing her along?
Different betrayer fooled by Deldar
>good turn-based combat
I can't believe I'm typing these words out in a single sentence. Is RT the first ever RPG in history to feature good TB combat? Because BG3's combat only served as proof of how much better the combat of the first two games was.
It reminds me a bit of Shadowrun, grid based combat is much better than distance based.
No. EVen if we stay in the last 20 years, ToEE is a very good implementation of 3d edition DnD.
For what is essentially a loose adaptation plus homebrew, better than expected for sure
Solasta
This is funny to me because rogue trader is basically guilty of everything people disengenously accused bg3's combat of
Not really, no?
5th edition dnd is bad for very different reasons
It's braindead combat on giant maps with like 50 dudes where almost every encounter is exactly the same. At least 5e has concentration so you aren't doing turn based buff stacking lmao. Rogue Traders system is atrocious.
This description is a shitty generalization that manages to not be really accurate for both games and what their actual issues are
Good job, I guess
Dude, I'm playing the game of unfair right now and every fight is the same. This is mindnumbing.
Sure, whatever you say
Owlcat makes games for jrpgtards that want braindead numbers go up combat, keep coping gay.
Of course,of course
>Owlcat makes games for jrpgtards
This explains everything when you think about.
>cities are huge maps with only 1 or 2 npcs to talk to and you just run around looting cheers in front of people, anything from storage chests to literally stealing blankets off the homeless
>unnatural focus on constantly leveling, a 65 level cap added to a system that previously didn't even have levels
>artificially inflating stat growth to the point of having 90 in a stat unbuffed
>combat is a debuff tug of war with a special anime move bar where you eventually just steam roll the fight
It's literally a jrpg. No wonder owlcat fans are so damn dumb.
So how does this work for the previous 2 games where the last 3 points do not apply?
Everything but the debuff applies imo. In Pathfinder you just prebuff your team and then auto attack lol
The second also obviously does not apply. But whatever, such details never matter in shtposting
What are you talking about? Pathfinder is inflating your stats to unnecessarily absurd levels to remove all difficulty from the game.
>stupid opinion : posted
>anime picture : attached
>every other combat you level up then have to go through the shitty feat UI
>just hit level 16
fricking hell
what archetype should idira be?
none of them seem to do anything
Bounty hunter but just throw her in the trash because she's a shitty version of pasqal
pasqal is great but he doesn't have lightning strike to clear chaff
You use Cassia for that. You use point of curiosity with the talent that causes damage on forced movement. Enjoy killing 10 enemies on the first turn.
Bounty Hunter, skip all of her features from that architype and just solely pick diviner and/or telepath powers and use her as a defensive support.
amazing search function
>amazing search function
Looks like they copied Baldurs gate 3’s search.
When they get around to releasing Rogue Trader Enhanced Edition (and the game actually works) will I lose all my pre-order items
>and the game actually works
Don't hold your breath.
>90 stacks of No Respite from doublecasting Word of the Emperor on her before the enemy has a chance to move
Emperor protects!
The Corrupted Inferno Pistol you get from siding with the Warp entity in the prologue is bugged in full release. You need both melta weapon proficiency plus rank 2 of Heretical to wield it, which is funny because in Beta it worked as intended according to the item description of not needing weapon proficiencies to wield it.
>ask for weapon and power
>can't use the former until acquiring of the later
Just as planned.
Fitting for people who trust chaos
The wages of sin are death.
My God is act 4 bugged
>planetary management is bugged it grays out
>all my PF and resousres will go to 0 randomty
>MASSIVE fps drops on the bride and footfall
this is by far the worst offender and before you say "weak pc" i can run baldur's gate 3 on ultra settings with no problems yet in act 4 the game shits itself
wtf is going on?
all of the 3 other acts were almost bugfree other than some occasion camera stuck on enemies or my mouse cursor being stuck with the question mark
>Beta ended at act 3
Simple, really
srsly act 4 genuinely feels untested how can everything fall apart as soon as act 4 starts?
That's what you get for trusting a russian company
Go back too /misc/ chud or leftoid or whatever you call each other
/misc/ supports Russia. Its mostly paid promoters and third worlders nowadays.
Owlcat homosexuals were literally sitting on Ganker telling people this game runs flawlessly.
Because most people experienced acts 1 , 2 and 3 the last few days.
Though 'everyone said it runs flawsessly' is a lie, everyone mentioned abilities not working as intended and the weird combat freezes/slowdowns since day 1.
No, there were literally people saying the game runs flawlessly with zero bugs. This company has some truly deranged zealots that will say anything to push their games. Even wotr is STILL a buggy piece of shit, you think they're gunna fix this huge mess any time soon?
I post in those threads.
The vast majority of posters at best said early on it's not as bad as kingmaker cause most things that popped up were fixed with a reload. You do not need to make up shit
Why are you lying? I was literally in a thread yesterday and they were saying it is a perfect masterpiece.
You know , we do have archives, and we can see actual number of people saying whatever and the context. To sure what you are trying to achieve here.
But whatever.
The reality is that nobody expected too much of Owlcat in that department and that feeling persists. You can continue your shit-stirring as you please
Yeah owlcat has always been forced and I have never seen a single good post from someone dumb enough to like their games. I genuinely wish I could refund this.
Every thread you darken with your malign presence, you whine about how much you hate Owlcat games. Even people who like them know that they’re buggy as frick at launch, and you were moronic enough to buy an Owlcat game, a developer you despise, at launch? And you have the chutzpah to say that other anons are the dumb ones? You’re literally the “I have deliberately read a thread full of things I hate and now I am upset” meme
I play all CRPGs, anon. If you had any idea how many I have played your head would spin, it is more than you could possibly even imagine. This is why I know so much about them and have such high standards. When I look at a dev and see that they are not improving, and instead making the same mistakes over and over, then it might be time to bury that dev. I will continue to play through and shit on this game until Owlcat gives me a refund. They are not the tiny defenseless developer they pretend to be and there's no excuse for acquiring major IPs only to make shit games like this. Even games that I dislike, like PoE, I am willing to play, and even replay, and say lots of positive things about, even encouraging people to play them when they are on the fence, but not owlcat, they don't deserve anything.
>making the same mistakes over and over
this
what really grinds my gears is that people still appeal to owlcat being small and indie as a defense
they are like 200 people now
I've seen teams of 20 make better quality games
And yet you are incapable of expressing anything than shitty exaggerations, non-helpful generalizations and engaging in as much good faith as hispanics in db general threads. So all the experience that comes with playing hundreds of titles amounts to an avatargay shitposting gimmick under the pretext of providing service or venting. Good job
>I genuinely wish I could refund this.
You're way dumber for still buying the game anyway
Wait till act 5, Ulfar keeps telling me he will ditch me until I find his brothers and the quest never even triggers.
>Quest says it is time to talk to Nomos
>Talk to Nomos
>Has no new dialogue
Very cool.
You have to click on the lengthy dialogue box and then go through that tree and it'll update the quest. It's fricking stupid and Owlkek needs to fix their game.
I've clicked through all of his dialogue multiple times and the quest doesn't update.
try exiting the game and doing it again? if it still doesn't update then rip.
Nah I've been trying most of act 4 over several days. I'm tempted to use toybox to just complete the quest, but I'm going to wait until act 5 to see if something triggers. It will probably just treat it like I ignored Nomos and cuck me out of some ending or something though. Used to that in this game right now. Definitely not touching it again for a year after I get this playthrough done. Feels like I'm working as QA for the devs.
Waiting that long will fail it since it's supposed to update and complete itself as soon as you talk to him and exhaust his trees. You're unironically locked out of secret ending due to a bug.
Very cool game. I'm in the final planet of the act as well so I can't go back to the ship. Do I need to do anything with Nomos after that quest completes? If not, I'll just use the toybox to complete the quest.
No you're just supposed to talk to him iirc.
I like Owlcat games and enjoyed Kingmaker and WotR. WotR was buggy as frick for about six months, and I expected this will be too, so I want to pick this up, but I'll be waiting a while until it gets patched.
>t. still seething about Baldur's Gate 3 being a shit game
6 months will have a DLC release which will break things, so make it 4 or 5.
Yeah, I enjoyed WotR once it was patched (it really was almost unplayable at launch), I think I hit the sweet spot before any DLCs came out. None of the DLCs have looked appealing to me either, never got any of them. Heard they've just added more bugs and shit I don't care about.
So, can you ignore the story companions and just make a custom merc crew like the other Owlcat games? Kingmaker companions were absolute garbage both mechanically and character wise. Wrath were mostly strong mechanically but only the gnome was decently voice-acted, characterization was mid at best for the companions there. Just want to roll a full tech-priest team with skitarii and rampage like its Mechanicus 2.0.
The companions are miles better in this game than both Kingmaker and WOTR. You can roll with a full merc crew but it cost quite a bit and you cant roll a tech-priest, there's only one tech-priest companion in the game.
Only 1% of players have gotten to chapter 2. It has been nearly a week. Says a lot about owlcats fans. What a crock of shit.
>heavy stubber has 10 fire rate
hory sheit
all outfits look like shit because you can't replace the pants. they need to fix this.
i really really wish they give us an option to turn off these dumb capes
The thing that bothers me the most is the 'don't show hats' options affecting the comissar's hat too.
I just do not want helmets replacing it, dammit.
Why are you posting reddit gifs?
My hate for capes surpasses my hate for reddit
>redditor hates capes
explains a lot.
Where do you get the Blessed Bolter Casing for argenta?
Does anyone know if this will be available on ps4? A few months ago they said it was coming to ps4/xbox one, but I only see ps5.
Don't play these games on console. On any console. Are you insane?
A turn based tactics games should not be that hard, in theory.
You do not have as many things in a toulbar, and it's easier to navigate a grid. Though I still would not play it in console.
I couldn't take it any more and dropped it. I'm done.
Okay
Just play till act 3 save and wait for patches
Just leaving this here, in case other Toybox users want to try and cheat Eldar-fus women moment away.
does the door need to be open/you need to take heretic (without toybox) for her to betray you or is it required to prevent that
Nobody yet knows, we are doing guesswork here. Also, one anon reported you can only get the door to appear/open in early chapters. I can only confirm it still appeared for me before landing on Footfall.
>required to prevent that
This. We trying to get her to find out about theodora's shit without her assuming it was you who betrayed her first.
>Heinrix's quest in act 4 is bugged and needs toybox magic to avoid being hardlocked
whatever I'll go to footfalln as long as I don't get locked in the main quest It's all right.
>Chorda's murder is bugged and Vladaym's conversation abruptly cuts, with the quest still active
uh ok I'll just explore a bit
>Get summoned constantly while travelling by my officers who want to speak with me but have 0 new dialogue
frick it
After act 1/2/3 mostly working I thought you guys were exaggerating for memes but holy frick this isn't even beta status, act 4 simply does NOT work in any way shape or form.
See you all in 6 months I guess
Dogmatic is the only sensible way to play the game.
At most you can spare making Iconoclast choices 'sometimes' when it isn't important, do it at any point when shit gets real and you are fricking everyone over.
It goes without saying you should never make any heretic choices
is it just me or has the latest nvidia driver broken the game? it fricked some graphic options and the text did not appear and now the combat is not working. My first officer starts, I can give the order for someone else to attack and then it gets stuck, it doesn't matter on which character I use the skill.
The farther you progress the more aggressive the bugs get, so it's impossible to know what the source is. You may have just reached a point in the game where the QA testing stopped. I've been noticing that my saves are slowly starting to corrupt and taking longer and longer to load the farther I go.
I can't fathom why but the drivers left some game sliders on 0. Previously it was from the text options, so I couldn't see anything, and now I decided to check the one for animations and voilá it was at 0 and that was fricking with stuff.
Changed it and combat seems to be back to normal.
>I've been noticing that my saves are slowly starting to corrupt and taking longer and longer to load the farther I go
The Warp’s corruption is setting in. You’ve been exposed to Chaos.
I've already shelved the game honestly. I'm just hoping I can still get a refund even though I played about 35 hours.
I had to shelve WotR for six months before it was playable. I liked the game from the beginning but it was a buggy mess at launch.
Yeah I don't really want to play this game again.
the reason I'll wait a while this time. I made the mistake of playing WOTR during the first month of release and a bug killed my first 30 hours playthrough in act 4
I feel like even on unfair by chapter 3 you are so strong you don't have to pay attention or think at all anymore. Reminds of kingmaker in that regard.
I felt like the encounters in Chapter 4 on the forge world really spiked the difficulty.
They really need to revampe how the mercenaries system works, it shouldn't cost PF just to add a random murderhobo to your retinue.
Also they need to add more options for your personal goon squad.
Catachan unrelated?
I'm considering getting this but first I want to know what races are in it
Are Necrons, Tyranids or Tau in?
I am just so absolutely fricking sick of orks and chaos and eldar
Chaos, elfdar, dark elfdar and necrons.
How much necrons? I don't mind spoilers. Are there overlords/talking characters or is it just bullshit "here's some silent malfunctioning necrons waking up and doing the terminator thing" crap like Dawn of War?
I'm not certain, beyond the fact you fight a C'tan
Enough to get 3-4 unique themes of their own.
It's shit involving one planet specifically.
Why coudn't we have gotten a Kroot or an Ork instead of two different elfs.
I'd say I would have liked a space dwarf, but GW completly fricked up the space dwarves of 40k in the new lore.
Almost as bad as they did spess muhreens.
Elf females are for fricking
Spindly things, not enough meat on the bones, its like fricking a broom
I'm white male. Not melanin enriched like the imperious scum
I hoped we could stave off Ganker's 'everyone is a shill' shitposting a bit longer
It is true that owlcat has literal paid shills though. Whether or not it applies here is another matter, but a portion of their staff exists purely for "community outreach" and you'll find them actively posting in popular rpg forums.
Does it really count as a shill when somebody offically says 'hey. I am from company X and I post here on reddit/9gag/ebaum's world/codex/rpgfan' whatever?
I feel that distorts the point
nta
but I've seen obvious shills who were impersonating genuine players over the last week

that's a relatively big regional platform though, /vrpg/ has like 40 active posters
those morons are probably doing it free of charge
Keep in mind you're talking to severe autists. They even might possess some decent intelligence and have a well paid job, but here on Ganker they function like angry NPCs with a script.
Like seriously, imagine being anti-Larian spammer, Froggy or animetard. Scary shit.
The flagship should have been a cruiser, it makes no damn sense we're supposed to fight entire enemy fleets by ourselves in a single escort.
Is there a way to remove capes?
Is there a way to add EXTRA capes?
Pick a background that doesn't have a cape and then just don't wear capes.
Turn off backpacks.
what if backpacks on but capes off?
>Can't do the critical tasks quest and figure out what was up with theodora
>Presumably because nomos overwrote my old cogitator functions
Will we be able to romance the Death Cult Assassin and/or Adeptus Arbite tho
Sure but this is nu-Owlcat so they'll both be gays.
>nu-Owlcat
They were always like this
Bro, their first DLC was twin tiefling women you could romance at the same time. Then they went full homosexual with the viking homosexual and the right after that the android "waifu" that calls you a male incel for wanting to romance someone who isn't a homosexual viking. They've obviously gotten worse.
Please refrain from shitting up these threads like you do with the Ganker ones
>cannibalslop shizo
She be romancable
>Adeptus Arbitres
It's either be male, or ugly, or non-romancable.
Owlcats hate they playerbase, and most devs are mentally ill.
IDGAF about cannibalslop but if the space cop is a hot non-black romanceable woman with a non-shit ending I will forgive Owlcat.
I don't care for space cop skin color as long as she is female with white face feature
Owlcat employee here, just thought you guys would appreciate some info on what we'll be working on.
We're planning to have Yvraine and Robot Gullibleman show up in DLC 3 and tell Yrliet that it's okay to have sex with the Rogue Trader*
However, it can only happen if you buy Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader™ and the Season Pass.
Please understand that we're a small indie company, so we can only continue making great products thanks to your support.
Thank you.
*The Rogue Trader in question may or may not be Calligos Winterscale
Doesn't matter if her endings are still shit.
>an immortal woman staying with you until your death is a bad thing
She literally doesn't, you fricking idiot. You're getting the endings confused. Do you even have reading comprehension? The one where she stays isn't a romance ending. The romance ending where you die has her wandering around. She only comes back as you're dying. Fricking moron.
homie she states are the end of act 4 that you are her soul mate after she can meditate again. You probably did something wrong.
>One day, Yrliet returned to find the elantach on his deathbed — her search had taken decades, yet decades pass without notice for Aeldari. Yrliet spent the elantach's final days with him, and when the time came for death to place its hand on the Rogue Trader's shoulder, she entered his world one last time. The elantach, young again, looked at her with a smile. Tears burned Yrliet's skin, and then the dim light of the human soul faded. Yrliet touched the elantach's wrist to check his pulse. She closed her eyes, sighed, and left the von Valancius protectorate, never to return.
That's the true ending.
Makes it seem like you lived to be seventy or eighty or something when a Rogue Trader can easily afford to live to three hundred or four hundred years old with rejuvenation treatments. That's the max. We see Abelard using those treatments in game. It's kind of hinted at that he's older than 200 himself.
Eldar live not that much longer at 800-1000. Double, sure, but I guess Yrliet is herself two hundred years old or something. She's probably young but add your 30ish year old RT+400 years and she'd be a veritable Elder Eldar herself.
What a fricking trash "romance" ending. Owlcat just can't help themselves can they?
In the grim darkness of the far future, there is only war.
Okay. Now post Heinrix's romance ending.
>One day, Yrliet returned to find the elantach on his deathbed
>Deathbed
I'm a rogue trader. I don't fricking die. Money can make you immortal in 40k.
Sorry, that's only possible in Heinrix's ending. Oh, you're a straight male? Too bad. This is an Owlcat game.
Consider that a (sufficiently powerful) human psyker is theoretically immortal, since biomancy is also very common in humans and they wouldn't even need rejuvenat treatments.
The same applies to eldar really, since they're all psykers by default (including deldar, who just simply don't use them at all in order to slow down the permanent Slaanesh soul drain DoT), especially ones that have been on the Path of the Seer before. Farseers are actually the most short lived craftworlders (excluding violent deaths), as they tend to overuse their powers to the point that they fully burn out and crystallize their bodies.
They just gave in to the stigma of Elf Human romance when in 40K humans are, as said, often functionally immortal. Gameplay wise your RT Psyker performs some pretty insane feats. I am guessing that a Max Psy Rating 4 Level 40 Char is at least a Gamma level psyker, if not Beta, but certainly with Beta level feats. That's powerful enough to at least be a Farseer as an Eldar, who has to be more conservative with his powers because he's Human, playing into the longevity aspect.
I want to hammer home the point that you butcher through Chaos Space Marines, Fiends and Demonhosts and a Greater Demon during Act 4 and then invade a Necron Tombworld. Those are some protagonist i.e. named i.e. immortal 40K character feat.
They're really playing this tabletop like it's fricking DnD and the human always dies. It's the worst trope. 40K is all about humanity succeeding at all cost--securing Eldar Tsundere gfs and Drukhari goth gfs.
With how big of a deal being a Psyker is (on top of being a RT at that) you sure have few options mentioning it. As far as I can tell, there's one. At the very beginning Kurt can comment on you being a Psyker.
>With how big of a deal being a Psyker is (on top of being a RT at that) you sure have few options mentioning it. As far as I can tell, there's one. At the very beginning Kurt can comment on you being a Psyker.
He's also the only one to comment on any origin
I thought I was gonna get a few more lines with an astra militarum commander but nope, stops at Voigtvir.
Ryzza recognizes you for being a Crime lord. I think Vladaym may as well. You'd think Abelard would recognize a fellow commander despite the different branches
The navy officer can mention it to abelard and that's it
Now that you guys mention it. I saw a few videos talking about how your darkest moment and greatest hour that you pic in character creation were for roleplaying purposes and would come up throughout the game like in mass effect. I haven't seen them mentioned once and I'm up to act 5.
Idira has a few lines of dialogue if you ask her about what being a psyker is like if you're a psyker. Funnily enough Heinrix has zero dialogue for psykers even if you ask him about the black ship while sanctioned.
>implying i planning to die
Not with my boy Nomos.
Reminder that Cassia has a good ending and no amount of seething will change that
Valeriegays are still mindbroken to this day so they juts feel the need to project onto every every girl
>Meleecuck
>one attack per turn
>never enough MP to abuse "unlimited attacks" ult
>have to actually position properly
>rangedchad
multiple attacks per round from level 1
>never need to move
>surround yourself with buffbawds
>can one-shot snipe enemies or AoE the entire battlefield
what did owlcat mean by this?
Fun part - you can run-and-gun and use melee weapon.
you can charge too, can't you?
>one attack per turn
You unironically have no idea how to use your own abilities then. Immediately start with charge to get a free attack plus sprint and then go for your melee, that's two attacks per round at first level not even accounting for aoe with a two handed weapon. Also
>play ranged
>enemy walks up to you in melee distance
>full auto and two handed weapons useless, have to switch to pistols or run and get decimated by opportunity attacks
A warrior -> vanguard can solo the entire game if you build him properly.
>switch to pistol
>full auto into enemy until he dead
>run out of ammo
>have to reload
>enemy decimates with opportunity attack due to reloading
What now
>use free slide to leave enemy range with no-attack-of-opportunity
>take out two hand weapon
>full auto into enemy
>all of the best gear is unavailable due to bugs
Crazy that this has a lower userscore than deadfire on steam.
I given it negative review, because RT power armour set don't have helmet.
I left one as well, one of the few times I've bothered to write a negative review.
It dipped into mostly positive, lol. I've never seen a game's ratings go down over time like this.
Deadfire is actually functional at the very least, even if you dislike everything else.
Modern devs are scammers at heart, wonder how long it will take the game to be in a working condition, and then how long it will take the dlc to be in a working condition when its released.
When will the game actually be playable.
It unironically won't be this time. The damage control on steam forums is insane.
>The damage control on steam forums is insane.
The devs have completely given up on posting or moderating and its just complete anarchy. Everything they do just pisses people off even more.
>Everything they do just pisses people off even more
Yeah no shit. Why are so many games companies allergic to the concept of accountability? You fricked up the game, fix the damn game, how is this so hard?
Their last response was that "they decided to add more things instead of fixing things". And then radio silence. They literally just took the money and ran, they are now denying refunds as well.
How russian of them.
They actively taunted people by saying that obviously adding more stuff is better than fixing what is already there. After all what would the pleb want, a functional product or a (5% larger) dysfunctional one?
at the least 3 months.
Wotr was 6 months imo, this looks like it’ll be at least that long from all the complaints
2 weeks
Does anyone have a list of the companions that leave you if you follow the heretic path?
Also I've heard some will leave you based on romances, is that true? Like if you romance the DEldar
If you go heretic you lose obvious party members like the Sister of Battle, the Space Marine, The Inquisitor and the Eldar.
You do get a Chaos Marine to replace the Space Furry
No idea about romancing the Dark Eldar, have no intention of letting him on the ship so paid no attention to anything about him.
Yrliet and Ulfar leave. I killed Argenta and exiled Heinrix so their leaving scene didn't show up for me obviously. It's honestly better to sacrifice Marazhai rather than keeping him.
>It's honestly better to sacrifice Marazhai rather than keeping him.
What do you mean?
You can sacrifice him to Slaanesh for massive heretic points after he boards your ship
>Also I've heard some will leave you based on romances, is that true? Like if you romance the DEldar
When will they give us romancable female Kroot?
Sexy Backrubs
bullshit game since hard and unfair basically strong arm you into playing an officer as the RT since everything else is hugely sub-optimal
got far into act 2 with an officer on daring, became bored, restarted with a soldier RT on hard and I can't fricking handle Aurora now without positioning cheese to induce single shots on first turn
>played on hard and unfair
>complains the game is hard and unfair
anon..
Quite well thank you
What is the consensus on the game? Is it worth it getting into now, or should I wait a few more patches?
Wait a year for the DLC to release.
I would not recommend touching this game with a 10 ft pole.
Why?
Thanks for the advice. I read a few reviews about it and felt discouraged due to alleged bugs.
>Why?
Because it's shitty and broken, to the point where no can even honestly review it because who even knows what it will be like in 6 months.
Im in act 5 and honestly have no idea what people are b***hing about.
Had one "major" bug which I could just fix fairly easy in someone getting stuck on terrain.
Fix your game, Eyler.
Wait at least a few months for patches, but ultimately a year for most dlc.
>only xenos friends are space elves
oh boy how very epic, so excited for this haha
Honestly I would have preferred Owlcat to have made an OC xeno race as a party member than the two flavours of space-elf we got, would have been less boring even if it had been bad.
i would've settled for even a ratling or an ogryn to mix things up with
Frick, a ratling as a sniper spiv would have been so good.
Or a big loyal Ogryn bodyguard protecting you from harm.
Those are cliche concepts but still would have been better than how lame the eldars were.
how do i cheese Yremeryss, everyone is very injured and I just get tapped before I even get to have a turn, shit is a bit annoying
depends on what your build and party is. I made Abelard a vanguard and him tank while Marazhai went after pockets of deldar.
Can you increase convictions in the toybox? It turns out the game expects you to just kill all your companions whenever the heretical option appears to kill them and by not doing so I've stopped myself from getting the more interesting heretical choices later on. Why the frick would they force you to pick the heretical option to kill the evilest companion and not get anything out of it. Just cool, a deamonette kills him, you get nothing. Don't get a new companion, it doesn't possess him or anything, just gone.
My enthusiasm was very high until this fricking Voidship early Act II. I'm only on the second encounter and it looks like a horrible slog - I'm sure I can get through it, it's just going to take an hour.
Is there a mod that makes the combat go away? It's too easy but god damn does it take forever.
Toy Box.
.
>Does the patch fix anything
No.
Does the patch fix anything or is it still awful?
Can confirm it's true, bought the game to play with an old friend while catching up and it's broken.
LOL
>mhhhh geuys b-b-but bg3 w-w-was jest es buggy on launch
LOL
a couple of quests that were unresolvable without toybox magic are now kinda working like Heinrix.
Flags are still a total and complete mess post act 3, with dead people barging in during discussions, companions asking you to do their quest or they leave when you just did it 2 mins ago etc etc
btw am I missing something or is this another bug that locks me? No waypoints or anything that I can interact with killed both xenos and calligos
>Release a game
>As usual a mountain of bugs
>Broken and missing content
>DLC leaks reveal that there will be two more companions
There's literally no reason to play now, instead of waiting until at least the party roster will be full.
I don't care how many times you shill the gay blacks in space game I won't buy it. Nobody wants to play your stupid romance sim.
The rating is going down even more.
Ship combat gets tedious very fast, the 3rd act is atrocious and the 4th is broken. Give it time and it'll be in low 70s, is 3.6 (72%) in gog.
I've been enjoying exploration with my ship, so far. But I'm pretty early into act 2.
Unrelated, but how often should I be using my navigator points? I feel like every time I don't use them, my ship is in danger of exploding.
You receive like 14 points in act 2 after a fishlady quest/event, and 3 or 4 more for free with some colony project or event.
I used them to have a green line between the colonies and footfall and at least a yellow line everywhere else.
Like everything else in the game, it's designed to be fun for the first few hours to get the streamer or reviewer's recommendation, but what you're seeing now is all it is. You get into the system, scan, put the extractors, kill the 3–4 small ships with moronic AI, and after that, you can forget that the system exists because there's nothing else to do there.
And colony management can be summarized as "numbers go up, so now you can build something that makes numbers go up even more." From time to time, you'll get a convo about some stupid event that seems to have no impact at all.
It needs a quick turn button like wotr had
That New Heading ability Abelard and a couple others gets, let's the ship turn ninety degrees when moving.
If you build the colony proyects that come with navy rep you will get lances, sensors shields and armor making all ship combat irrelevant.
So it's tedious at first and irrelevant by the end of act 2. Nice job Owlcat.
After a 4rd consecutive day not being able to play the gamey finally got the money back. Last time I give money to this morons.
>he didn't torrent.
apparently there are just winners and losers in life.
I got my gog drm-free installer and several patches, now I still have them plus my money back.
I meant a button to speed up combat turn times. Enemies turns take too long sometimes. I noticed if you move a character then end turn it takes longer then just seeing the move animation and ending turn.
Someone, stop this madwoman. She killed the Chaos Defiler with 3090 HP in one round. He even resurrected with full health once, she still fricked him up. She also has 453% Evade at this moment, literally invincible.
>bought the game
>paid 20 bucks
>played 30 hours
>not a single card drop
Thanks, Owlisraelites. Very cool. Fricking Russians. They should be barred from developing anything vidya related.
>not a single card drop
could someone eli5 what the frick steam cards are for?
I like Ulfar's character so far which is surprising considering the Space Yiffs are my least favorite chapter. The voice actor is probably what won me over. I still wish they chose another chapter, though. The Carcharodons would have been a great choice.
I like him too. His introduction is powerful, sitting in a cage singing sagas eating meat entertaining the next time he gets to rip off deldar heads, meanwhile your whole party has succumbed to despair. It really shows how unbreakable he is.
I was gonna say there'd be no chance of that since they are one of the early lore chapters, but Rogue Trader is the earliest WH40k lore, so it'd be fitting to have one of the Badab participants in it. Still, it's set in current 40k lore, so you're only ever gonna see the legions. I think GW just forgot that the legions broke up into hundreds of chapters.
Also I completely fricked up and missed out on Ulfar. I kept waiting for a part in the story where I get him, but apparently I used up all the monster parts asking for other shit and you can just hardlock yourself out of getting him.
That happened to me and I reloaded a 3 hours old save to get him. My next playthrough is going to be a heretic run and he wouldn't have fit in so I bit the bullet.
Yeah luckily my first run is a heretic run or I would have been fuming.
Dogmachads won
How important is having your characteristics fall on multiples of ten? Seems like bonuses only come from the 10s place. If I start with a stat at let's say 35, will I have the opportunity to buff it up to 40 using either gear or leveling mechanics? Or are those 5 points completely wasted? Considering DnD 5e, you get items or can choose feats as a part of leveling that will give you a +1 to the base stat, which is important as you get a +1 modifier for every 2 points over 10. So you can start with a 15 in a base stat, then get a +1 from a feat, giving you 16, meaning your modifier is +3, whereas before when your base stat was 15, it was only +2
Everyone here autistic enough to answer a question like this is a timely manner has already dropped the game. It's just the blind leading the blind now.
>How important is having your characteristics fall on multiples of ten
For combat, everything but weapon skill and ballistic skill only matters when it's a multiple of ten. But for those two and skill checks every point matters, since it's a roll under system. Ignoring any penalties to the roll, even a +1 to a skill matters since that's +1% chance. Also many talents will halve your bonus and then round down, so even a 35 is basically no different than a 20. I'm sure there's some abilities or talents that just take the raw number, but those are fairly rare.
>If I start with a stat at let's say 35, will I have the opportunity to buff it up to 40
Yeah. You get a fair amount of chances to level up your characteristics, and gear that raises characteristics by 5 is common enough that you probably shouldn't worry about it. Buffs can give non-round increases, so ending in a 5 is viable too, especially considering how strong some buffs get and how much you can stack different buffs on your character.
how high can I get my stats
my RT is level 17 and has 90 base int right now
I'm scared to keep playing because I'm doing other things and I don't want my game to brick
I can't wait until someone makes a mod that lets you play all available origins, ie navigator, space marine, unsanctioned, etc. I really want to make a wacky melee Navigator build
What happens if you pass the Carouse test when the delf sticks his maggot into you?
This game doesn't really have a story to tell, and tries to distracts you from this fact with hours and hours of padding.
So what's the best for heretic flavour. Killing the Edge of Daybreak or serving him? I kind of want to fight him and be the biggest chaos bad in the expanse, but I feel like the game will just pretend I chose the good path if I do that and I suspect this is like a 2 hour fight, so I don't want to waste my time.
Does anyone know?
Actually you know what, I hadn't even read his dialogue yet. Seems like if I kill him I get the chaos sword, so that's probably the better option. He literally answers it for me.
And it ended up being easy as shit anyway. Cassia is so broken. To the point where I think she might be bugged. Double gaze, give someone else a turn, can gaze again on her turn. And her damage just snowballs throughout the fight. I was doing 500 damage per gaze on him at the end.
Frick it. Finally dropped this game. Act 3 was at least playable but act 4 is just shit.
I'll see you guys if/when they release the "enhanced" edition aka the actual full game release.
Wotr still isn't fully fixed and its Enhanced Edition came out a while ago.
Yeah but most of the bugs left are relatively minor stuff like abilities not working or damage not being calculated right. It's not shit like quests that you literally can't complete because there's a trigger missing or because they switched a couple of lines in their shitty etude system. As far as I know, all the serious game-breaking and quest-breaking bugs in WotR have been fixed at least.
>Yrliet leaves my party because I'm a heretic
>Walks outside the Inquisitor's room
>I go off and continue the main quest
>4 hours later have to come back to the Inquisitor
>She's still standing outside his room
>She acts like she's still in my party because she's just been standing there the whole time
What did Owlcat just not have time to remove her from that spot? The frick is this game? Did they just get bored making it and stop?
small indie company pls understand we didn't have enough moneys for make full game
Is there a point in the game at Act 4 where I can kill Yrliet or is that only available if you kill her on Janus or hand her over to the Inquisition.
You can kill her in act 2, 3 and 4 so far, if I had to make a guess, in act 5 too.
She gives you PLENTY of opportunities and reasons to do so
And at any time you can tell your inquisitor companion to make her disappear.
Nope. You can't make any of your companions heretics. They all keep the same personality, which makes it weird when you start hanging bodies around your bridge and moralgay Abelard just sort of ignores it I guess.
>Nope. You can't make any of your companions heretics
That sucks so bad. Owlcat really dropped the ball here
Yeah, I wonder if this one is them being lazy or GW stopping them though. It wouldn't surprise me if GW said that they weren't allowed to make existing character types into heretics. The trade off is that at the start of Act 5 you get Calligos who has become a khornate berzerker and Uralon, the word bearer space marine to flesh out your party if you're a heretic. But yeah, I was totally expecting to make Pasqal either a Heretek or some half necron abomination and get Cassia possessed by a demon. It'd really make sense in the setting if you get to corrupt all of your companions.
Is there not something you can do where you corrupt Heinrix into being a bird follower? Cassia is definitely a missed opportunity with how much of a centerpiece she is
Nope. You get close. You find the agent he's clearly in love with and she's fallen to heresy and she lets him know that Inquisitor Calcazar made one of the other agents disappear. He gets real close and then just goes "actually you know what, the Inquisitor knows best. I'm going to torture you for info now.". The most heretical thing you can do is tell Idira to open the door in her head and let the voices in and it changes literally nothing. Just gives her a couple of lines of dialogue where she's got multiple personalities.
Lame. The Calligos stuff sounds like it's deciding footfall's fate if he's a berzerker.
Calligos is probably one of the characters that can actually go either way. I'm not sure. In my game I enabled his khornate buddy into corrupting him and now I have him as a khornate berzerker. I'm sure you can either just kill him or help him remain pure. It wouldn't surprise me if that's a false choice though and he always ends up corrupted if you don't kill him.
What was he before went got Khorne flakes? Torn on whether I should go for him or not and I might do it if he's a frontliner
He's a rogue trader. I say khornate berzerker, but that's not a class, just his personality. He's a warrior and arch-militant with a leaning towards melee. I suspect you can't get him if he's not corrupted though, because without the khornate influence telling him to find battle, he'd probs just go back to being a rogue trader. I dunno though. Here's his stats when you get him at the start of act 5 anyway.
And that's Uralon. I dunno what companions you'd get if you go Iconoclast or Dogmatic. I suspect Dogmatic might get you Inquisitor Calcazar and instead of chasing him you're chasing Uralon. Not sure though. My guess is that you don't get any new companions in the other routes because companions don't leave you like they do in the heretical route.
You can get Chorda as a companion if you go Dogmatic.
also upon examining her portrait, just realized Chorda is a Mason.
What's Iconoclast get?
The rope.
Uncorrupted Calligos.
That's a touch disappointing.
Yeah, but on the plus side you can keep Yrliet and other companions whereas on Heretic runs they will inevitably leave your ship if your rank is too high.
Do you? Oh I just killed her.
Kek
Yeah if you back her on Footfall in Act 4 and took the Dogmatic option in response to Footfall's crisis in Act 2 you can recruit her.
>need an option all the way back in act 2
Ah hell. The act 4 choice probably needs dogmatic 4 doesn't it?
The game just doesn't support mixing choices. In order to get the special content for each conviction, you need to have been picking every single option throughout the game. Like you couldn't start iconoclast and then roleplay falling to heresy, because you wouldn't even have the sword shard from the very first choice that you need to go down the heretic route. It's so bad. You may as well just pick Iconoclast, Heretic or Dogmatic in character creation and just have all the other options hidden.
Yeah I agree. Unlike KM or Wrath you could roleplay alignment switches fairly well between story decisions. Playing a 'balanced' all arounder conviction choices in RT just doesn't seem worth it due to how much content you end up actively missing out on.
I genuinely don't know how they made Kingmaker where there was consistently 9 alignment dialogue options floating around and then WotR which had simpler alignment choices but 10 different mythic paths that completely changed up the later parts of the game and then RT which can barely handle 3 alignment choices that only really change who you end up fighting in the last chunk of the game. I love the 40k setting, but the Pathfinder games are just so much better. I dunno if half their dev team got sent to the trenches or something, but it feels like a much smaller team working on it.
>The act 4 choice probably needs dogmatic 4 doesn't it?
Correct.
>Ah hell. The act 4 choice probably needs dogmatic 4 doesn't it?
If you're worried, use the toybox to boost your points. I had to do it in act 4 to get the heretical choices because the game expected me to kill off all my companions with heretic choices throughout the game.
>Get only evil companion before act 5
>Immediately he gets a scene where the warp is making him crazy
>In order to have enough heretic points to naturally become a chaos champion you have to let a daemonette kill him
Actually baffling. Even Bioware is better at companions than this. I was expecting it to be like Wild Flower in Jade Empire where you can let an evil demon possess her.
The whole Marazhai thing is completely moronic because who the hell else is going to let a deldar as part of their crew let alone their ship other than a Heretic? It literally doesn't make any sense on an Iconoclast run because in order to keep him non-possessed during warp travel you have to let him sacrifice a 10th of your crew every time you jump (and why the frick would you even agree to that if you're trying to be as a Benevolent as possible??). For Dogmatic it doesn't make any sense to not blam him on the spot, and again in order to do a full Heretic run you HAVE to sacrifice him to Slaanesh, so you can't even keep him if you want to become a Fanatic and then Zealot and use all of their specific rank choices.
Yep, you just need the toybox to play this game. It's absolutely necessary for both the bugs and the moronic design choices.
What a silly tit he is. Him only being acquirable while corrupted would track if Incendia's route was more dogmatic
I forgot about Incendia. Maybe you get her if you go Dogmatic. Even she seems like a heretic though. She's eating a dude's brain with a spoon when you meet her in act 4.
Sounds like typical Noble shite if we're being honest. She's a soldier/master tact iirc
yeah he doesn't join you if you don't corrupt him he shows up to help you fight the inquisitor ships only
I dont see why would GW stop that. Probably owlkeks ran out of time.
Damn evil versions of companions would really help to flesh out their characters, if you could see how their corrupted versions bring their worst flaws or something.
It was great with Arue in WoTR for eg
The companion reactivity is absolutely woeful in this game. I have Uralon on my bridge and we are discussing how we betrayed the Imperium and no one is acting any different. Abelard doesn't give a shit and all your crew are just like "Hey captain, Uralon the Cruel wants to talk to you."
i really don't know how to build yrtwig, her role seems to get overlapped too easy and i can't find twig gear for her. Fricking stickgirl fought the last boss with no gloves nor shoes on.
Her personal quest is also the worse, holy shit. have to give owlkek points for making craftworlders actually moronic, haven't tried DE but I bet marajay will be better to play than her.
How do you deal with the 6 cruiser battle? I dont see a way out of this thing. They one shot my escort before I could even act.
Day 3 of being unable to play the game.
Do they just not do QA in Russia? No wonder they're losing the war against a israelite and a bunch of unwashed peasants.
If you go Heriticus can you corrupt Cassia and have hot steamy heretic sex with her?
The slides.
LMAO
Did everyone see Nomos ending the slides with one line about being curious
Man they are never gunna fix this game.
Nah I think they will, but it's still a beta at the moment. I guess they just had to release now or not at all sort of situation.
I don't know, owlcat has never had a proper turn based system, it has always been secondary to rtwp, and this one is incredibly flawed. Like there's basic shit that doesn't work underneath all the soft locks and shit, the basic combat literally does not work right. This is literal years of work, they aren't going to do this for free.
The combat isn't where I'm having issues. I think it works well enough for the most part. I'm enjoying the flow of it, but I played their pathfinder games almost exclusively in turn based mode. I just prefer it. Everything else about the game is fricked though.
Turn based mode in the pathfinder games breaks them and turns them into journalist mode. It literally doesn't work. It's no wonder you can't see the fundamental issues of the combat since youve basically been consuming brain dead content all along, like broken pathing, one way line of sight, and incompetent aoe placement on the part of the AI. The game is mostly combat and the combat is fundamentally bad. Like on a scale of 1 to 10, how good is this combat really? Maybe a 2/10, at best, when it somewhat works? Like people are in here going "trust me bro after they fix the broken quest triggers and abilities in 6 months it'll be a great game", but that's simply not true.
Holy frick, I just realized the entire rogue trader system is running off the amateur kingmaker turn based mod they stole.
Did the collect area loot function not give it away?
This is damn near criminal lmao, owlcat literally didn't do anything other than shove bad models with store bought animations into an engine they don't even understand.
Fair, I can't argue against you because I don't know enough about that stuff. I guess I just don't pay that close attention to combat mechanics in games. Pretty much just hit and shoot people.
>Turn based mode in the pathfinder games breaks them and turns them into journalist mode
Are you being unironic or just trolling? Playing with rtwp in pathfinder is a cakewalk and causes every enemy to auto die, don't know how anyone can stand playing it with rtwp because it involves zero strategy whatsoever.
>Are you being unironic or just trolling?
He is correct. Turn based is not the correct way to play those games and you are basically cheating if you use it.
>button mashing to kill everything on auto with zero coherent strategy is how "the game is meant to be played"
>thinking about your actions and planning them is 'cheating'
So rtwp gays just life live on copium then.
Speaking of Chorda, does anyone have a shot of her initial build? I would hope Owlcat leaned into her name and gave her a heavy flamer to utilize
When I fought her she had 2 pistols and a bunch of pistol related equipment. I'm assuming it's the same when you recruit her.
iirc she did have a flamer when I fought her along with two pistols. Also her fight is piss easy, complete joke.
man, someone at Owlcat must hate the idea of a male protag starting a family.
>Val in Kingmaker won't talk about having a family with the Baron but will start a family with a random farmer.
>The goat twins look after orphans but there's no mention of having your kids, iirc
(never bothered with Octavia)
>Arue runs off to live in a shack in a random village.
>Wend goes off to focus on her mongrel kingdom.
>Cam leaves you (inb4 "but muh mod ending!!111")
>Cassia can't have kids because of her mutations (but apparently in other endings goes off to continue her genetic dynasty with other navigators)
>Jae's true love ending mentions she remains loyal and faithful but there doesn't seem to be any mention of kids or marriage, though ending slides are still buggy as hell.
>Yrliet's relationship is entirely "spiritual" and the idea of being touched by a monkey (sorry, mon-keigh) repulses her, not to mention the biological incompatibility
>man, someone at Owlcat must hate the idea of a male protag starting a family.
Skill issue, I successfully settled down with Nyrissa and Camellia.
And by successfully settled down with Camellia, I meant that she runs away because she’s unfixable
They're Russians. The concept of family is alien to them beyond selling your son for a Lada.
>>Jae's true love ending mentions she remains loyal and faithful but there doesn't seem to be any mention of kids or marriage, though ending slides are still buggy as hell.
I agree with your post but it seems like you're reaching with Jae. Her ending is unambiguously good and that should he recognized, especially in comparison to the other romanceable females' absolute garbage endings.
eh, it's basically the same as Wendaug's true love ending: she becomes kinder, is exclusive to the protag, but still goes off and focuses on building her own empire.
point is, as far as the official writings go, a male protag in Owlcat games is a genetic dead-end with no heirs, which seems especially moronic for the Baron and the Rogue Trader
it's the fear of being called out man
>wtf
if a male PC can start a family the "women" will have femcel rage cuz they can't do the same
>Cassia can't have kids because of her mutations (but apparently in other endings goes off to continue her genetic dynasty with other navigators)
Except that the only ending where she can't have kids is a bad one where her mutations go out of control and she fricking dies, at no point is it ever mentioned that she can't have children otherwise.
So is there a good ending for her?
What do you consider good?
Should be pretty self evident. Anon (you?) called that ending a bad one. Is there an ending that is not a bad one for her?
I mean other anons get pretty up their ass cause they've devolved to the point where they need to read it happening. Also I'm not that anon, I'd consider the one where she stays by your side to be a good ending.
Isn't this the same ending where she can't have kids, that anon called a bad one?
Cause that anon is hung up on the fact he wants a white picket fence in the ending slides
The one where she fricking dies? Or the one where you're only in a long distance relationship but "keep in touch"?
Yet somehow that's not a problem for Heinrix who stays be le RT's side forever and ever never leaving and staying endlessly loyal with no mention of dying or being apart or any MUH BITTERSWEET bullshit.
>Muh Heinrix
Good lord I even have to put up with you here? Can't you stick to Ganker?
Her endings are
>get married but it's a loveless one because... it just is ok!
>she leaves you and fricks another navigator while she fondly remembers you
>you both stay in touch while she rejects proposals (this is her least shit ending by the way)
>you stay together and she leaves due to her mutations
Are the devs allergic to good endings?
>Cassia
she is a navigator, she is doomed from the start if anything she having a "good" ending feels out of place, her romance is the epitome of bittersweet,it will end in tears...i consider her ending where she leaves you because of her mutations and wanting you to have a good life is the saddest and beautiful(in a tragic way) ending
>Yrilet
that people expected a "romance" let alone a good ending with her is beyond me
>jae
space isabella funny enough is the "most" human of them ergo non-tragic ending for her same with heinrix
who knows maybe the dlc companions will have "better" romance endings
>that people expected a "romance" let alone a good ending with her is beyond me
Given that the romance we got is some nonsensical asexual meditation friends with a gal who, when confronted with a revelation that contradicts her worldview, simply double downs on it, whatever shit people wanted would have been better than was we got.
On this playthrough I'm going to see if the Drukhari is at least more interesting to deal with while he extracts the terror out of others.
>she is doomed from the start
Anon, there is an ending where she marries you, an ending where she has children, an ending where she has a long life and an ending where she chooses love over duty and stays with you. Why is there not an ending where she marries you, loves you, has children with you and lives a long life with you? There's no real reason that you can't have more than one of these things in the same ending.
grimderp
It said she didn't produce an heir which is how things should be as the navigator gene is recessive which is why they're all inbred freaks.
That she assumedly also has no children at all is moronic.
No anon, the ending where she stays with you says that she cannot conceive children because of her mutations that eventually go out of control. Naturally, no one would expect a child of her and the Rogue Trader to be a Navigator (Though your children should carry the gene, so having Navigator grandchildren, while difficult, should not be completely impossible), but as you said it's moronic and inconsistent that she randomly can't have children at all.
Other companions get happy endings though. Why aren't they hit by the curse of grimderp?
>Though your children should carry the gene,
They might have changed it but that generally ain't true.
Her spontaneous mutating within your lifetime from regular ass warp travel is also off brand.
I probably shouldn't be a stickler about this given how generally off the rails and incomprehensibly impossible the heretic route iis.
>that generally ain't true.
Alright, it goes against everything we know about genetics, but if they say that the navigator gene magically disappears when the egg is invaded by normie sperm, then the navigator gene magically disappears when the egg is invaded by normie sperm. It's a minor point anyway compared to everything else that is wrong in that ending.
The reason Cassia is more mutated than a normal Navigator is because of the experiments her desperate family were running to improve their power was it not?
No that part is normal. What isn't normal is her spontaneously mutating further in her epilogue.
That's not how that works. It's only children that are born as abominations that end up getting smothered in the cradle for barely resembling something humanoid in shape.
Most of the navigators worse mutations are a direct result of all that rampant inbreeding.
No you're just moronic anon.
What? How the frick am I moronic? You would be long dead before she goes and doubly so before she mutates from some freak accident.
She doesn't do so in any of her other endings which means that they're only coming on from her adventures in the warp. And that's not how that works.
>Other companions get happy endings though. Why aren't they hit by the curse of grimderp?
Because it's a Justin Bieber pretty boy romance for "women" not an icky self-insert romance for straight male incels.
>Other companions get happy endings though
So does Cassia
Why do you have such a persecution complex? Almost all the companion endings in the game are bad in one way or the other, they clearly want you to work hard to get a happy or at best bittersweet end
>Almost all the companion endings in the game are bad in one way or the other
Conveniently ignoring Heinrix's. Go frick yourself, shill.
He has several endings where he ends up dead you obsessed moron
Who the frick cares, dumbass? The point is he has an UNAMBIGUOUSLY HAPPY ONE unlike Cassia or Yrliet you stupid fricking homosexual! You pretend not to see the point because you're a disingenuous shill. Stupid frick!
>why is Cassia the only one that gets none?
Eh, Yrliet doesn't either but that just furthers the point of Heinrix's ending being the kind of shit they apparently don't want to allow... except when they do, but for "women". Fricking Owlcat.
>Yrliet doesn't either
Ah, I had been told that she did. I stand corrected, but as you said it ultimately changes nothing. The waifus don't get the same treatment as the husbando. Pretty shitty.
Jae's ending isn't bad as one of the anime spammers mentioned but Jae's still Jae, so.
Yeah, I refuse to believe that anyone seriously chose to romance her.
I've given her a try
Ignoring that her portrait is a bit ghastly, her romance tones at least in late chapter 2 (of which there are a lot) read generally openly promiscuous and she has traits of both a suitor and a prospect in some oddly weird blend of the two.
But overall I don't dislike it even if I plan on dropping her later on.
I'm liking her romance so far. I also wasn't expecting her to get me a lacerax as a gift/pet so that was a nice surprise.
For me, it's Jae. The only female romance with a good romance ending.
at this point use the energy b***hing about it to write a 2 paragraph fan fiction and mod it into the game and boom you get the same fricking experience or write it on paper and tape it on your computer screen.
I'm sorry we disparaged your perfect and flawless gem of a game. There are no issues at all with it. Please forgive us.
The frick are you on about? You're here whining because some Russian didn't give you a happily-ever-after with a fictional mutant fish lady. Endless b***hing endlessly about what amounts to two paragraphs of text in the credits. Chalking it up to some big fricking conspiracy.
And you're here whining because some people dislike something about a game you don't even like. What drives you? Is it sheer contrarianism?
You really start frothing at the mouth once you get called out for being a whiny b***h. You're the other side of the coin of the the "I need more gay romance" people b***hing prerelease. But I'm sure you've got another 400 posts in you whining about how the writer ruined your 40k waifu romance so don't let me distract you from your mission.
>So does Cassia
Anon, NONE of her endings are happy. It's not a matter of working hard, she's, as far as I know, the only companion for which no matter how hard you work, it's completely impossible to get a purely happy ending. You can dot for everyone else, can you not? And it's especially grating for a girl who is pushed pretty hard by the narrative and is the main waifu for most people.
Why do these experiments result in her mutating further only in that one ending anon?
But he has one happy ending that you can work hard for. No one is saying that ALL endings should be happy you drooling moron, but why is Cassia the only one that gets none?
Imagine being this fricking mindbroken that you're outright ignoring how Yrliet fricking OUTLIVES you and that's the best ending you can hope for with her
Please have a nice day
>Imagine being this fricking mindbroken that you're outright ignoring how Yrliet fricking OUTLIVES you and that's the best ending you can hope for with her
You're both saying the same thing. What's clear is Owlcat shits out these garbage fricking endings for Cassia and Yrliet yet Heinrix's gets to be unambiguously happy. It's fricking gay.
>Cassia can't have kids because of her mutations (but apparently in other endings goes off to continue her genetic dynasty with other navigators)
If you looked back on the station you rescued her from, there was a lab where they grew humans in test tubes.
I assume most navigators aren't concieved naturally, especially since there is genetic engineering going on.
>Uralon doesn't even have a model when you recruit him
Yeah I'm convinced they thought they could just release unfinished it and finish it before the majority of people made it to the late game content. I'm done, I'll come back in a year.
Can you show me his stat screen please?
I wanna know how he fits in my team.
Scroll up anon. It's posted
Thanks m8, I think he might fit somehow.
Would have to replace Jae tho.
Don't forget the fact Calligos has a female cultist voice actor for warcries despite being one of the few NPC's who is voiced in dialogue (and being male) because they didn't bother to consider that people would get that far.
Just finished this and god the story is not only such an unfocused mess but it also feels like they basically just quit making the game after act 2 the vast majority of the content is in the first 2 acts.
It really feels rushed. I kind of expected it since there was a year between announcement and release.
Now the only question is if they finish/fix the game or ditch it and go on making starfinder slop
They won't ever make a starfiender game because there won't be an audience for it.
To be fair, I would have said there wouldn't be an audience for a pathfinder game, but that did fine.
Pathfinder is literally 3.5 dnd but with a different setting. Starfinder is basically unheard of outside of people who are dedicated to Paizo products.
Pathfinder is still a tabletop RPG that's not D&D. That's 2 levels of niche. It's still risky setting a video game in it.
Anon it's literally 3.5 system but with a different setting and is known but most people who play dnd.
>No audience for a medieval crpg inspired by Baldur's Gate
lol
>get to act 4, immediately everything breaks because of cascading bugs in act 2
>wait for patch that "fixes" things
>start playing act 4
>Quetza quest bricks
>Henrix Quest bricks
>Jae quest can't start on Footfall
Thanks Owlcat!
>end of chapter 2
>restarting for the 5th time
Oh well, the later chapters aren't finished anyway.
terrible game
>combat somehow even more imbalanced (simultaneously for and against), than WotR
>Entire archetype main features not working
>Half of the talent tree doesn't work
>multiple broken quests
>multiple broken character arcs
>multiple soft locks and half a dozen hard locks
>late game items and powers just completely have no animations or effects
>invisible enemies
>UI that is prone to breaking
>"This game is less buggy than WoTR"
Frick shills. Behead all shills.
>buh buh heinrix
Considering how absolutely bugged it was, one would think the sour grapes wouldn't start until today when they fixed it.
He's an absolute autist obsessed with Heinrix, I don't even know what he's doing here, probably got banned on Ganker
It's pretty inconvenient to your argument that happy endings do exist in this game for certain companions and their romance, isn't it?
>point out discrepancy in romance endings
>use heinrix as an example because he's the most egregious
>ewww eheheh are you in love with heinrix or something lol
Fricking morons. I'm criticizing how he gets an unambiguously happy ending while two of the waifu characters don't. The real question is why you homosexuals defend that. Probably cause you're both woke homosexuals championing anything that speaks le truth to power on le icky straight male incels. Fricking gays.
>gays you guys are gays
>I'm the one who keeps bringing him up but you're the gays
>Only love can explain obsession you gays
>I'm not obsessed you're obsessed
Wew that really is some warp-induced madness
>>I'm the one who keeps bringing him up but you're the gays
As an example of the discrepancy in the ending they wrote for him and the endings they wrote for Cassia and Yrliet, yes. So yeah, you're still a gay. gay.
I see the owlcat defense force is as busy as always
Going to use toybox to make a Navigator rogue trader. Any good tips to finding/generating a good 40k portrait with a third eye, implied or otherwise?
Can someone give me a run down on what each endings are for each conviction?
>Dogmatic
Loyal to the Emprah til the end. All hail.
>Iconoclast
You make your area of the Expanse fricking decent to live in helping humanity slowly drag itself out of the pit it keeps partially digging.
>Heretic
You become the Daemon(Prince), Lord Captain.
These are excluding the secret "end" additions.
Secret end additions amount to just extra things that deal with the super weapon you helped raise and bound a C'tan to.
>Dogmatic
you just give the Empire a superweapon that itself is fanatical to said Empire. This'll be all for the better because the super weapon never doubts itself and knows what it's doing better than the Emperor's human servants. All hail.
>Iconoclast
You accidentally make Tertius and your specialest abomination that you raised from a ship helps you protect your protectorae from all threats. All. Threats.
>Heretic
Your abominable superweapon is committed to your heretical aims. It'll only answer to you. Let's hope you don't die. You don't get to become a daemon prince.
The secret stuff conviction is less tied to your conviction and more how you responded to the AI throughout the story. So you can get silly shit like Iconoclast superweapon with Dogmatic ending. That one anon stroking himself about an exterminatus end for Iconoclast is cherry picking from the secret end
Classic broken owlcat end slides
Thanks. So, Secret Ending is quite bad for a Heretic run, only seems like a benefit for Dogmatic and Iconoclast. I mean it's not surprising considering what Nomos is.
Yeah, the heretic route is really odd with how it advances and what it demands of you.
I think this game has only furthered my intense burning hatred of Necrons even more than I already do.
>Inquisition:Let us get this straight...you grew up your own C'tan and made it fanatical loyal to the emperor and imperium?
>RT:Correct,Faith is all that matters.
>inqusition:we are not sure if that impressive or heretical
What's the reasoning behind not becoming a demon prince with the secret stuff?
Which version of the heretical ending is a more fitting/better power fantasy?
Are you aware of what C'tan are? The Warp is anathema to them. It's the reason why Necrons are the worst faction/race in all of 40k because they collect gods as pokemon and have donut steal galaxy destroying weapons. Also non-secret ending is just best for Heretical.
I'm aware, which is why having a loyal pet C'tan would give you a leg up against all other chaos worshippers.
Anyway, can I still have keep Nomos "friendly" while going for daemon prince? Is there a specific line of dialogue I need to avoid to trigger the secret ending?
You should either skip doing the questline that unlocks Nomos at all or have the him die during Epitaph.
Does he "force" his ending otherwise?
Even when you let him take over the forgefiend?
Yeah.
Thanks for the heads up.
np
Damn that new patch really sped up combat.
I just hit act 2 in what order should i visit planets? ive read that depending on the order the planet situation will be more dire
if you have to ask people for advice instead of making your own decisions then I don't think you're cut out to be a Rouge Trader
Janus first, then manufacture world.
janus>Dargonus=Kiava
I can either get 2 Profit (which is a 20% improvement from the base level of 10), which will allow me to buy higher level gear / items or something, or I can get 320 scrap, which will allow me to upgrade the hull and the ram of the voids ship twice (buy levels II and III for each). Which is the more interesting or valuable choice? Generally I would rather have flexibility, which makes me want the profit, but I don't really know how valuable 320 scrap is, or how easily obtainable either resource is as the game progresses
The scrap nets you like 4 for the ship from chap 1. Probably 3 if you just dump it all into the hull instead of evenly between hull and ram.
The first argentas companion quest i think its astray got bugged i killed the cult talked to her after on board of the ship but it keeps saying to talk to her
How do i fix the bugged quest
