I've got 21k and a hard decision. Either I pull for my faves, or I pull for Saruin (meta, but also one of my fave SaGa villains). In the past, I had been trying to do a balance of both, but now it's impossible because I have too many faves and the devs swap banners around to cluster them all back to back to back. If I had known the game was gonna be like this on day 1, I would've only saved for meta because ultimately there's only a small percentage of the many styles that are truly worth it. If I was chasing meta only, I'd be able to grab it all and likely still have a bit left over to splurge for one or two faves here and there.
Fug, I have to keep abandoning more and more of my homies and my roster shrinks instead of grows. I want to pull for them tonight, mediocre and largely useless they may be, but everywhere I go I'm surrounded by crowds chanting the Dark God's name with fervour.
Hope this thread survives, mods can be pissy about new threads going up before the last one is fully erased and we could live on page 10 for days.

Well, my trio's always been Undine/Ellen/Silver. I have all of Silver's styles and there's no more coming on JP that we know of, so I'm squared up there. Ellen+Undine tonight on that crappy easy skip banner will finish up Undine so I think I need to go for it even though no sane person would pull.

I've barely scratched back to 100k in JP after Alkaiser, Gen, Macha, Goddess and others. It has not been a fun ride even for a paypig like me.

I did it! My #1 fave in 34 singles! I'm loathe to leave Ellen behind though. 13k israeliteels left. Not sure if I'll keep going...it'll be 12 or 18 months until I get a select ticket with this new Ellen in the pool due to how they've been doing the selector batches.
Foolishly kept going a bit further and got this useless dude (I now have all his styles) on single #46. I have to stop here. It hurts abandoning Ellen, now I won't get to use her for a very long time and my axe remembrance will remain uncleared as well. I hear this style's S3 is nice for her final style, which we should get in Dec with the 4.5Y banners. 8k left for Saruin, Mirsa and Aldora.

I was just watching a Maria banner review and the guy said Saruin's time has already passed on JP while Maria is STILL seeing use over there. Of course, they don't have as many awesome buffers as we do so it makes sense Maria has more shelf life, but still, it's kind of crazy that we're getting a character still used on JP while Saruin isn't even out yet.
I still wanna go for him though because a) I like Saruin and b) he looks very useful for Apollo and Esper Gal.

I'm not the anon listing the buff's but afaik Sigfrei's gimmick is you need IK aka unconsciousness for the minions he summons so aoe IK makes Epamindondas extremely valuable for that specific remembrance fight.
I know Time Lord and Death have aoe IK for staves and my wonderful Warmech has aoe IK for guns, but I'm struggling to think of other weapon types' options off the top of my head.

These banners skipped over a whopping TWELVE banners, so hopefully they throw us some of those before Saruin.
at this point it's either the next banner or some weird time travel move now. On one side, more time to get some gems but also, I want that Saruin now. Spiral bonus can't wait much longer.

What do the "sparkles" that show up on the result screen mean exactly? I get that they indicate the character can still gain stats, but what does each tier of sparks mean?
Yellow = stats and hp can increase up to a certain cap.
Vanishing yellow = stats and hp have reached a soft cap, but can still slightly increase.
Green = stats and hp have reached the current cap. hp might slightly increase rarely, as it is for the style's main stats.

Yeah, didn't Saruin come with a conquest for JP's 4Y anni? I bet they're gonna dedicate the month of September to the JP 4th anniversary stuff so they can close the gap more and give us JP's 4.5 anniversary stuff during our 3.5 anniversary this December.
The conquest took place a month later after saruin, but they could always timetravel it. I don't care either way, nor i care about saruin or any other metagay unit. After getting sodomized many times by the gacha going for meta, i've decided to only pull for any new styles my waifu or some of my favorites could get.
Thank god for orbs being consolidated. I fricked up and spent all my medals on LOV orbs, I didn't realize the packs changed from 36 a set to 999 a set.

If you're asking if his skill 3 will boost the rest of the party during OD, it should because it has the Fast tag and thus goes before everyone else unless someone else is also using a Fast skill and has more AGI than Christoph.

The only instance was back during the 2nd anniversary. Not even JP had those cases as exchangeable stuff in any event shop.
There are no israeliteels, so who cares about some garbage weapons? They'll put those weapons in the medal shop anyway, if you're so much worried.

They're not SS weapons so they won't be in the weapon medal shop and it likely won't be too much of a problem for grindgays like me who're gonna forge a bunch, but let's not kid ourselves: these are some of the best weapons ever released in the history of the game.
They will be added; jp added them to the shop after some time the event had ended, since the weapons counted as event-limited stuff.
Weapons with the all-saga tag will be craftable during the liam endgame event where you'll fight against the five shinjobbers and lionel messi. That event should be coming by our next half anniversary. Craftable ss weapons will be coming once the next story starts, so there's that as well.

About banners and characters
Since you're starting, focus on covering damage types for farming. Pull for characters which will allow you to farm on events. For instance, the current event has a boss which is weak to blunt, slash, and pierce attacks; so you could pull in maria's banner and get all three characters to start, since they cover a wide range of damage types which will help you for a while.
Do not buy anything in the shops, beyond the daily 100k aurum (which is free, anyway). The shops are just a total scam.
Also, play through the main story, specifically the one of liam (the green haired kid). At certain point you'll unlock the latest expedition zone, which will serve to put your characters' stats into an average range near the current cap.
Save israeliteels whenever you can, as these are scarce in this region of the game.
This game is basically about collecting characters, leaving them to get stats, and then using them to battle hard bosses. Got any more questions?

Avoid the stuff that costs aurum unless it's specifically in the Aurum Exchange shop. As for the banners, Maria is super duper meta, grab her. The steps are paid only so if you're fine with dropping cash, do those until you get 15,000 medals to pity her. Muse is also great and is on her own banner which should still be up. Those are the two "must haves" from what's up now and their banner mates will round things out for you (Medea, Epa-whatever his name is, and Charl are good, Dream Demon is extremely bad). The banner with Ceres, Hercules and Christoph isn't the very tip of the top, but all three of those are good.
tl;dr get Maria and save.
You should save your aurum for later, as it will serve for unlocking optional stats for your characters, or buying strong armor in the aurum exchange shop; but all these are very costly. Trust me when i say this version is scarce on resources.
Only pull when you have 45000 israeliteels, because the rates are super garbage, and you can either get lucky, or feel absolutely miserable; there's no inbetween. 45000 israeliteels will yield you enough medals to pick a banner unit you may have missed while pulling. For now, pull in maria's banner, and hope you get all its characters.
Oh wait, the new weapons aren't even craftable what the frick? Too good to be true, damn. At least it looks like we'll get them though, the co-op goals spiked massively from 4% and 2% to 70% and 49%. Should be done sometime tomorrow.

Frick yeah, first try clear. Been busy for the past week so I finally got around to doing the Undine+Volcano fight. Went with one of Scher's strats and even though I don't have Let's Paint for Gustave and no Witch's Daughter, it was still a walk in the park thanks to my bro So-Cho.
He's so fricking good on global. Being able to spam Still Blade Phoenix, Water Festival, and Sea Roaring Dragon Kick every turn was a blast.

I got 10k medals on the Undine banner before I got the styles I wanted. Would it be worth spending an additional 15k gems for enough medals to exchange for the Matriarch style with Paean of Peace? Right now I don't have anyone that can buff the party's DEX every turn
The matriarch is already on her deathbed. Bosses with buff break are starting to become more common, and that's not even counting jp's newest bosses. Don't bother with it, unless you want the skill for remembrance fights.

Sorry bros, seems like the devs just hate the girls I like. Well, some of them anyway. She got nothing except an increase to her WIL.
Mirsa got better STR and END plus his first passive isn't extreme damage up on weak attacks, it's extreme damage up on ALL attacks plus a 37% chance to chase with his S3's chase (not S3, just the chase, the C power aoe that gives a small heal to the party). Mirsa's second passive also got changed to action switch, a straight up improvement.
Minstrel's the most interesting. He's finally the 100% reliable BP battery we've been waiting for. On JP, he was a 3BP per turn character but now his third passive recovers his own BP by 2 each turn, letting him spam his 5BP cost S1 that gives the whole party a WIL buff and 1 BP forever. That same passive also gives the whole party a large atk boost and medium def boost for 1 turn each turn. That's the only buff Minstrel got other than stats but it's a huge one.
No buffs to anyone's skills.
The buffs made me torn on which banner to pull on. I still want Saruin, but Death is only good for Remembrance (where he's not even needed for staves) and Schirach is hot garbage compared to multiple awesome counter tanks we got recently. Whereas I really want Mirsa and Aldora and now Minstrel looks like a very attractive meta support.
Aldora's kit is already good as it is, her WIL was garbage and that was fixed, at best you could have given her an ST chase but escalating things too much with her would compromise future heat casters and they still don't want people to seriously challenge Polka in his niche.
She's still good, pull for her if she's a homie, that entire banner is good even if it's too longsword+MS centric.
I'm just in time to get the israeliteels for the RS3 quests, don't think I can take all of the box stuff but I'll try at least, I'm going all in for those, the RS2 event I can clean up in the following days.
Is Aldora really good? It looks like all she can really do is a massive SS aoe on turn 1, and there isn't any single wave content I can think of where that's relevant. I'll be pulling for her and Mirsa for sure, and crossing my fingers that it goes better than last time where I had to spend 90,000 israeliteels to pity both her and New Year's Mirsa while getting EIGHT bloody New Year's Minstrels along the way.
Would each hit of Left Fork trigger action switch's boosts? I thought it would only work with separate attacks, like chases. Though he does have a chase now, so that's pretty frickin' cool.
It's the last day of the month, so like the procrastinator I am, I decided to get in some last minute remembrance clears before reset.
Sharon was the MVP in clearing all the stage 20 club fights I had left to do, I love this girl. Wuhan was the worst because the only FFL style I'm missing is the one designed specifically for club Wuhan 20, Hana's limited summer style. I still brought her platinum style because I have it maxed out, fully promoted with all hidden attributes unlocked just like every FFL character in this game. I had to rely entirely on Sharon using her evasion stance skill on the turns Wuhan's minions go apeshit and praying they all targeted her. Even then, sometimes Wuhan stunned her with Fake Out causing a reset.
Also, now I can finally bench Bokhohn with Carmine dead.

She doesn't excel at anything that isn't T1 Heat farming, but she covers pretty much anything well, Cure Fire spam coupled with two different sources of damage mitigation and small heals also makes her really sturdy for boss fights.
Again, having an additional chase would help her case but there's nothing really wrong with her, she's plenty usable, you want a bad heat caster look at the recent Volcano.

The Thunder Cross attack from Khalid allows 2BP per hit, and that's two damage instances. In theory it should mean Left Fork would return 2BP for every hit as well, was there a case where it wouldn't work this way?
This M. Arts squad was a blast to play, Halloween Creator's so much fun and I got to use a lot of my favourite FFL styles. Had to bench him for the Carmine fight but whatever, still was pretty easy even if I totally forgot to gear pierce res on Human Female. Gonna try guns next, Arsenal's gonna be real happy to get off the bench.

Good point, I think I was really underestimating that BP regen skill of his.
If I'm remembering how cross skills are worded correctly, they should say they execute a row attack and then a column attack is executed, making them separate. Left Fork is one attack with 5 hits.
The upgrades to the new Mirsa style can have him go full gorilla moron with Left Fork. The attack and STR buff stacking on that is going to be fricking hilarious.

My gun squad just blew the biggest load all over Wyvern's face. Let me get another star on my remembrance axe (crazy, I know), so it should be maxed tomorrow when the month rolls over. Staves are the last weapon I have confidence in so I'll do those next. I won't be full clearing with bows, spears or rapiers because those weapon types don't have representation in GBSaGa other than Borgin so I'll probably do stage 10 or 15 and call it a day.
Finished the fight after reset but I think it still counted toward monthly progress since that didn't trigger until I went back to the main remembrance menu. God I love Esper Gal, she's so damn good. And Prefecture Orlouge covers all status ailments so he makes staff remembrance pretty brain dead.
Got my axe maxed, now I'm powering up the remembrance club for Sharon.

Mirsa can no sell anything with Dark attached and is a very powerful party healer, but if you have Minstrel already I'd rather wait until the next banners to see what they're pulling.
I got Saruin, Schirach (2) in 7 multis, and Mirsa in 2 mults, so I think I'll hold for a moment. Tempted to go further for Minstrel but I'll see how much I hold in the next few weeks. Since I got him so early I can at least test him with little regrets either way.

Then on his second banner, his New Year's style, I spent 90k israeliteels and didn't get him once; he was a double pity with Aldora.

Does "Defensive Stance (Spell) (large)" from Minstrel's S3 stack with tank Gustave's S3 Steel Dominance which grants the same effect? I know taunt stances, atk boosts and def boosts stack, but guard up and morale up don't.
Did a cursed sweep on the light banner (only cared about Mirsa) and decided to get all the dark lords. Went from 130k to 55k (sadly had to pity Mirsa after 4 Aldoras & 2 Minstrels). But this event to level up your stats??? Amazing

I've gotten stupid lucky a few times, and got screwed going all the way to pity like today. I'd say it's been an overall improvement though, so singles is definitely the way.
I'm gonna answer my own question here now that I have a stable farming setup. GalaCHAD continues to be the best farmer ever released and, because this game is 99% farming, arguably the best style ever. Icy Wind clears wave 1 by itself because the fat mob here is weak to cold and the other four mobs aren't tanky enough to survive the 2-hit Icy Wind. Wave 2 dies to an Icy Wind plus Aldora's new SS fast fire aoe though considering the fat mob in wave 2 isn't weak to fire and Icy Wind heavily weakens all three foes, you could toss any strong turn 2 aoe here in place of Aldora.
I'm so dumb, all eight stages in the final part have the same hp cap. Galachad can solo floor 30 so you can bring four trainees. I think I'll still bring Aldora for those extra weapon mat drops though as I wanna forge a shitload of weapons from this event.

Speaking of Saruin, does his boost to shadow damage work for any skill that has shadow as part of it? Or does it need the little shadow icon in the corner of the skill's icon for it to work? What I'm getting at is, say there's a heat spell (has the little flame icon) that does heat+shadow damage - does its damage get boosted by Saruin's shadow damage boost? Or would that spell require something like Volcano's heat damage boost? Hope this question's clear enough.
Anything that has Shadow element gets that tasty +50% and +1BP, even if it's dual attribute, doesn't matter if it's a spell or a skill, this is why Saruin made big waves to begin with.

Weapon elements are only relevant when it comes to spells, it's a discount version of the channeling mechanic from the actual games.
Take the current onbanner Aldora, Cure Fire is a spell, if you cast Cure Fire with a standard sword it will be as if you're casting it unarmed, if you do use a Fire sword however, it will add the weapon's damage multipliers to the spell and be much more powerful, on the other hand take Asellus and have her use Rising Nova, you won't see any difference regardless of the weapon's element even though Rising Nova has a Heat attribute.

Anything with shadow attribute gets the bonus, doesn't matter if it's dual attribute or not, to make an example, both Power Grab or Paraselene will get the damage bonus despite the latter being a tech with split Slash/Shadow attributes while the former is a spell with pure Shadow attribute.

The christmas banners are absolutely coming out next month, but I don't see them syncing holyday banners with JP right now, JP meta is still on another leve and they'd have to basically backport stuff to GL and nerf it, it's still not quite the right time.
They might, at the earliest time possible, start doing this next summer, where we probably will be kinda reaching parity with the JP server, but honestly anything is possible at this point, these are just my conjectures.

Global gets nothing but double banners now and it's at least once a week we get a new set of double banners. Dark days. One of the worst parts about missing a style now is, because they've abandoned reprints entirely in order to shit out a billion new banners as fast as possible, if you miss something, you must wait until December or June (whichever is currently farther away) to have another chance at getting it out of a bottomless, which have pools so large it's essentially a guaranteed pity (albeit costing somewhat less than a normal pity). Every character in this game is now as rare as seasonal limited units in other mobage.
Good for Henri, the latest story chapter made me like him more but of course I can't touch this banner at all even though Laura is bae and I have her previous style.
Henri is kind of a weird character.
It's pretty much "What if Albert was younger, not the main character of his own story and didn't have balls of steel so Sif had to actually make him grow a spine?", that's Henri, same exact background as Albert outside of not having an older sister, similar design too, but the main difference is that Albert is still a hero's hero and fights adversity head on on his own, while Henri needs bear momma Laura to keep nudging him.
I still like Henri more than Albert though, mostly because of how Laura's story is written, him being the deuteragonist and narrator of Laura's story despite Laura's story being all about him and very little about her was very interesting, the ending where he says he never saw Laura again after the final fight as she went back to Nivacolina to reopen Pablo's school also hurt me a whole lot, especially when you see how she becomes kind of a second mother to him thorughout the story and Henri acknowledges he would have never manned up without her.
RSRS condensed a lot of their story, but the previous events that featured Laura already gave you a good idea of the kind of person she is in case you didn't play the game, it also perfectly showcased how big of a crook Arhur is.
There's a new princess rei coming up but she doesn't look that good. I wonder how they'll buff her.

I don't dislike Kuramochi's art, he's a damn good monster designer in particular and I loved his Scarlet Grace monsters like Savnok, I just think he's out of place in this series when it comes to the actual characters and his style, his Adel redesign for Eclipse is pretty horrible compared to Kobayashi's original, they look like they came from completely different games, and not in a good way.

I've had to double pity (90k israeliteels) on three banners before: GLEX Asellus, New Year's Mirsa and Arthur's first banner, but this Saruin banner hurts more than all of them despite "only" being 45k (on the heels of 45k to get the latest Mirsa) because instead of getting one of the three over and over again denying me the other two like those times, this time I'm getting absolutely nothing but the occasional worthless offbanner dupe. It's salt in the wound that if I had bought israeliteels, I would've likely been done on the very first ten roll as I got my first offbanner SS just 4 pulls in and the paid banner has no offbanners. Like it's mocking me for using free israeliteels.
It's never been a worse time to be so low on israeliteels, too, with the Great Acceleration. We are getting Liam's episode 11 in just 2 more days and if that pace is kept, we'd be finished Liam's story by the end of September and caught up with JP before Christmas. I doubt they're gonna go THAT fast, but still. It blows my mind that I'm actually saying 3000 israeliteels every 3 days on top of all the normal sources of israeliteels isn't gonna be enough, when 99% of other gacha players would kill to have that sort of generosity in their games.

Death is easily the worst of the three, and has little to no value. I'm set for counter tanks so I don't need Schirach. All I need is Saruin and that 1% chance couldn't be more evasive.
Technically the crit weapons will have higher mods, but these prismatic weapons are universally best for every characters except the 2 or 3 crit specialists out there. Really depends if you're willing to craft crit weapons, I'm sure she'd be fine with a universal 108% weapon but you do you.

GLEX Bertrand is currently the most busted counter tank. I also like to use Halloween Human M, he's fantastic. Even School So-Cho's pretty good and does some bananas damage if the boss is blunt weak.

They've been working on making that better and better, switching recovery skills/spells from costing LP to just a fixed number of uses (some limited use skills in the future will have ways to restore skill uses) and now there are countless people who shit out extra small heals on the regs which can all be used together OR you can use some of the very best healers that don't cost LP like Chef Polka and Mirsa. Speaking of Mirsa, the Lightbringer is a total gigachad who can full heal the party every other turn for no LP if you give him Still Blade Light or if you get lucky with his regular S3 you can even get 3000+ heals while dealing some nice damage.

You mean her second SS style that's currently on banner? Yeah, she's a good support that should decent damage too. Not tippy-top of the heap (simply because global is putting all the best supports back to back right now), but close, and you can inherit her single target heal from that S style to give her even more heat up stacks.

Immediately after pulling Death, the very next single, the gacha had to spit in my face one last time and gave me another offbanner SS, Commando Emelia who I also pulled and maxed on release 2 years ago, bringing the total up to six offbanners.

Global got the Brave Exvius treatment where everything JP did just gets amplified to absurd levels for the sake of compensating for the power gap between JP and GL. It sucks because said treatment is probably the worst treatment but at least we get SaGa characters instead of OC donuts like BE does.

The chances depend on how the flux interacts with the target element, and the element's skill level (0 for t1, 1 for t2, 8 for t3, 18 for t4). The more compatible is an element to its flux, the better are the chances for learning spells; the higher the skill level is, the better are the chances for learning spells. Know that elements have an affinity cycle: natura>ignis>terra>aes>unda>natura>repeat. The closer an element is to another, the more harmonious it is to them, affecting what you might get from the flux and the user's staff. Want hypergravity? Get a transitory staff, look for ignis or terra energy, and put said energy into any ignis spell you might have. If you already have any other terra spell, you could use a basic staff and put the harmonious flux into any spell.

The next story will add sss weapons. Some will obtainable through the free quest mode, while others will be upgraded forms of old ss weapons. They are basically jacked up remembrance weapons, just without the supportive abilities.

The ones at the top/recommended are whatever styles have the highest CP for you I believe, so some of your best ones are likely among them. However, each remembrance boss has its own gimmicks, so you'll want to bring someone to deal with the gimmick even if they're weaker, plus some strong characters might not be as good against certain bosses, like a heavy hitter that relies on random hits being not so good vs Wuhan where you're trying to hit just one of the three targets.

I think I'm gonna go back to grinding the Unlimited SaGa event. Already stat capped all my chars and emptied the story coin shop, and they both drop the prismatic mats. US event's got 2 waves Saruin can one-shot as opposed to 3, so it should go faster. Hope I can get enough of these new weapons to never have to forge those six weapon types again.
If you want to farm prismatic molds you gotta do both anyway, the pools are separate, both Main and the UsaGa events have their own mold pools

I wanted Nurse Bune, but she is a favourite who I've long been forced to give up on (I've only been able to afford to pull her first two styles years ago) and Bertrand would be cool because my understanding is that he's GLEX Bert but improved a bit, and GLEX Bert is the best counter tank in the game.
I have almost no israeliteels because Saruin and Mirsa ate them all, so I'll just skip and laugh as the game continues to burn around me. Though I am a bit concerned that an unexpected FFL character, Ronin from SaGa 2, comes on the banner immediately following these two school banners.

They're all more or less solid for the current GL powerlevels.
Byunei is a male coded support style that can give multitple heals and buffs, but she's not very good.
Kujinshi is a support jammer that can basically drown in BP on top of aggressively self buff himself and also give anyone but himself a permanent 25% chance to recover 2BP at the end of a round, becomes really good with Saruin and if you have his stage style so you can inherit his skill 3.
Wagnas is notable for being able to give a random party member a full OD gauge every round, and also being a pretty decent heat caster hybrid with 150% attack from round 3 onwards
Valdor is actually kinda similar to Kujinshi in that he can give a -2BP buff to the party, but this buff is temporary and tied to his Skill 3, meanwhile Kujinshi can just set his and forget about it entirely, on the other hand Valdor's buff is guaranteed and not a 25% chance.
Problem is, unlike Kujinshi he does basically no damage.
Bokuohn is an SSSS ST blunt nuker who gambles on coin toss to regen a lot of BP, he's basically a slightly more powerful but less consistent Gen when it comes to hammers.
Bert is actually very similar to his GLEX style, he's a counter mage and while his counter isn't guaranteed like the GLEX version (iirc it's 37%/50% chance iirc, I don't bother with bert) it can basically give him back all HP lost.

He's in the SaGa school manga that this event is promoting. Some people have tried to say that RSRS OCs have no future once their stories are over, but that's been prove wrong time and again as JP continues to release new styles for old OCs long after their stories are over.

Hold yer horses, Wagnas charges an entire OD bar, that much is true, but it's RANDOM, he's not reliable for focused strategy, he's more of a general team player.
Wait and save for Labelle, she's not as fast but she's a more reliable OD charger than Wagnas since she can charge up an entire's team OD like Iskandar but also do it repeatedly, unlike Iskandar who has a single use of his skill, Labelle is kinda similar to him but unlike him she gets to recharge her OD charging skill as long as she uses her Skill 3.

I just realized Minstrel is "Other" series. Is he just out of luck on a prism sword?
Other characters (which I think are just Minstrel and Warmech) count as all series already, so he benefits from prismatic swords even more than most since you don't need to bother with All SaGa passives for him. For example, if you had RS1 +36%, RS2 +36% and SF1 +36% on a sword, Minstrel would treat it like an All SaGa +108% sword.

Out of all the RPGs out there, I've only seen SaGa games and a couple niche SE titles lock Japanese audio to Japanese text and English audio to English text.

They don't have a history together and are meeting for the first time to solve an assassination case. MC asked if they're a duo, is there no way to cut one of them; do you need to use both? Kawazu said yes but of course, if one of them hits zero LP, they can't fight. Using the two girls together switched the topic to combo attacks and the battle system.
>talking about ways to fight, MC asked how the puppets Tsunamori uses fight. Kawazu mentioned because they are not human/living beings, they cannot spark new skills but there is a different/special way for them to learn more attacks.

Depending on where you go, the next playthrough will change and even when going to the same world with different characters the same situation may change, or it may even change based on your number of playthroughs. Their goal was for players to experience something new every time they go to the same place or play the game. No two players' playthroughs will be the same.

>the battle system is the timeline system and though it looks similar to Scarlet Grace, it's actually totally different. When you see green squares you can do a combo attack but when you see red squares, the enemy will use a combo attack and you will need to block it. Connecting green squares while blocking red squares is how you are supposed to battle. Kawazu said they worked hard on making some very difficult enemies that will feel satisfying to finally defeat. Ichi-P thinks actually playing the battle system is easier than previous titles but the amount of tactics and strategies you can make are more than any other before, especially when it comes to utilizing combo attacks.
As for RSRS stuff, they mostly talked about the Saga Prefecture collab in JP. Damn, those collabs have so much soul. They even read out a letter on stream that the governor of Saga sent them. In it, he said that he loves Ottoman (Ichi-P laughed) and is fighting alongside him in the conquest, urging everyone to complete the conquest so they could get israeliteels.
Speaking of israeliteels, the MC begged Ichi-P for more like usual and he said there'd be 3k coming next week to celebrate the EB announcement, though it wasn't clear if this was JP only or not.
The Imperial SaGa segment had a funny bit about that game announcing new content with a pink magical girl and that seeming like a leak for Emerald Beyond's magical girl protag, but it's just a coincidence. Jeez, Imperial SaGa's giving out 630 free pulls next month.

Speaking of IS, managed to find a channel which has old events, and shows some of the gameplay. I like the battle concept, but I heard the character raising and management was a new kind of hell.
Wish we got that Christmas Azami instead of ours. Summer Ellen's beach volleyball spike looks way cooler in IS. Splitting the party's a neat concept, but sounds like it'd be rough unless you were facing content lower than your level. Being able to change formation during the fight is really damn cool.

Yeah, her name's Olga, she's one of Adel's children and Ivan's female counterpart.
Imperial SaGa plays kinda like Romancing SaGa 2 in that you start off with Adel in the prologue, but then he croaks and after a couple of generations of replacement emperors you have to choose a final generation, at first it was divided between the Light side (Lazareth and Iris) and Dark side (Ivan and Olga), depending on which side you choose the endings would be different, you'd also get different battle themes and field themes.
In later seasons on they added a route for Fynnis and another with Mirrekh which weren't related to Adel but kinda stepped into the story anyway, basically you'd loop through the main story as many times as you'd like and pick different routes, kinda like the real games, unlike RSRS where the story is fully linear but you can replay later chapters.
Adel's children were nice because the two pairs were split designs with Kobayashi (Lazareth and Olga) and Chinatsu (Ivan and Iris), both Fynnis and Mirrekh were designed by Chinatsu though.

I have all the elemental swords I need for the styles I have, I have the remembrance sword maxed, I have two AllSaGa perfect swords and with this SF1 sword I have at least 2 perfect swords for each series to round out a team of five sword users. Bless these prismatic weapons, I don't think it even took an hour to be done with an entire weapon type for good.

Their styles are pretty basic though so it's no real big deal. Asellus is a single target piercer and misty is a farming style. Wonder if they'll get any buffs.

Asellus got a 37% chance to chase with S3 on hits plus some END and WIL.
Misty got some INT and AGI plus 2 extra damage passives (medium at all times and a very large on hitting weakness).
Sumire got some STR and END plus passive 2 now gives her a stack of her chase if she didn't take damage that turn plus HPT replaced with that one where if they equip their main weapon they get damage up extreme and damage reduction very large.
Asellus is tempting me, my rapier box is still one of the three weapon types that are bad for me plus I really like her. And Misty is still the most gorgeous villainess imo but I guess this one is a farmer? Saruin's now my best farmer, even better than Galachad and Misty's farming skill is slash/shadow, same as Saruin, so I don't think I could ever find a use for this style. She has zero damage reduction passives so she couldn't even help in remembrance. Smart play is to skip but these women are tempting me.

In JP they IMMEDIATELY all followed the Liam episode 12 banner we're getting on October 1st. So unless they push them back past Halloween, it's the end times and we're fricked. I'm at 33k israeliteels and there are styles on four of the seven battle festival banners I'm interested in, so I'm beyond fricked. Anyone under 120k israeliteels is probably kinda fricked.
How many israeliteels did JP get for the chapter 12 month again? Iirc it was 45K+ the various bonuses for conquest and other dailies. I suppose GL will be a tiny bit more generous given the crazy release pace we're going through, or at least I hope so.

I was gonna throw a little bit at the Christmas banner, but ill take your word for it and save just to be safe.
Yeah, Asellus and Sumire are really good but don't offer anything other than lots of damage and Misty is a farmer whose role is already filled by Saruin who brings so much more to the table.
Assuming the Great Battle Festival banners get buffed, and even if they didn't, Christmas should be a safe skip.

Asellus' a very nice DPS pusher for rapiers but honestly I'd put Henri over her since Asellus has nothing but lots of damage while Henri can not only stack shields but constantly self top with Healing Pierce which can chase into another Healing Pierce, he's much more stable than her on most comps despite not being able to push as much damage.
If you do have her previous style though Vow of Protection is an interesting option when you couple it with the current style's evasion passives.

Poison Carmine but don't attack him other than that or he'll stack Heat to the point most of his stuff will stomp your team, focus on taking down the thieves as they'll heal Carmine if their timers go off, alternatively focus on countertanks as a lot of their attacks are direct and can be countered, niche strategy for axes is having Strumiknen soak enough attacks to buff himself to godhood and then slowly but surely tear Carmine apart.

Since we got 3k for logging in, I decided to do 20 singles and see if I could get Asellus and/or Misty. I got lucky and Misty popped out on single #15! She's the only useless style on the banner, but damn is she ever hot and gorgeous. I like the creepiness of her home screen lines, how she pleasantly tells you of course you can get a hug or a kiss from her...but it's really technically the Egg you're getting it from.

Like the text here says, my eyes did immediately light up and I'd of course take the offered present...and it wasn't until after I read this that I noticed that's actually the Egg in the present box. I was entirely distracted by Misty's 10/10 looks.

Now that we have prismatic fists, should I be forging element+ ones over AGI+ ones for my many, many INT m. arts characters? And if so, I guess I'd be making fire fists for Lara and dark fists for Leonid and Nusakan? I don't think anyone else casts spells and uses fists besides those three.

We're at the end of the month so I figured I'd do some more remembrance clears to get more free stuff when it rolls over. Monika being able to inherit S3 from her latest style was definitely the MVP. Just have spears and bows left.
Are there any basic guides of what you absolutely need for all those fights and also the hard conquests/climbs/attacks/etc?
I honestly just don't have time to figure it out by reloading constantly and would like to get over with it.
And that's all the stage 20 remembrance for spears done. Glad I got Wagnas' first limited style as an offbanner during the Saruin nightmare to easily neuter Wuhan and I actually went for the S Barbara poison passive strat on Carmine. Took some resets but when it finally worked, she renewed it on the perfect turn and Drain Energy+ made her invincible despite being an S style. She failed to renew poison for the third and final time but luckily Carmine was low enough to die to an OD combo. Now all that's left is bows but my bow squad is so laughably bad I won't be posting clears because I can't clear stage 20 with them. Just gonna try for an easy stage 10 or 15 clear on the last three bosses and call it a month.
They're probably out there but I don't do much searching other than occasionally looking at Scher's vids. He has guides for each remembrance boss for each weapon type on his youtube channel. Each boss typically has a status ailment you need to inflict when the countdown hits zero, except for Carmine where you want poison up ASAP and never let him even reach his countdown, and Wyvern which requires no status ailments but encourages the use of fast attacks or overdrive on the one turn he drops his guard but before he can cast his evasion skill that turn.
In regards to Carmine and Wuhan, they have an exception to Axe if you have Strumiknen, since his END buildup from taking hits would actually allow a good solo play. Just need to get him a proper axe and good stats.
I will have to congratulate you anon! you did a good job with the rememberance fights! I had to do the standard tanking for the Wyvern and Wuhan fights, but my old SPEEDTRAIN team was able to remove Carmine, showing that AGI cheesing was still viable!
Rapiers were giving me shit for Wyvern and Wuhan, I had to get lucky with some evades for the soldiers but I was able to pull through. I notice Wyvern has some damage boost after the 4th turn so I had to be careful in regards to activating that defense stance with Katarina. Since I had a triple 39% column rapier I always bought Darque no matter what enemy I faced because of his moronic weapon modifiers. Carmine for rapiers was lol lmao.
Axes for Wyvern wasn't so bad when I got the new Darius style since I missed out on the old Darius style, the Ogniana and new Sif styles. Had to make due with some restarts and newer weapons but I was able to win with Darius, Sif, Aunus Strumiknen and Ellen. I have her Saturn Slice style (newest) but I don't have her others. Axe Wuhan I treated normally and not with the Sturm solo, since the damage looked like it was higher than usual, I was able to pull it off at least and do some cheeky resistances once Sturm built up his Wil. Carmine was Sturm solo with a 78% human crit axe, where I was pretty much doing 410K bloodthirst strikes.
Makes me sad we lost on the valentines characters now but I do hope they come around, We absolutely need more axe styles.

Considering New Year's and Valentine's are the only holidays we're not synced with JP on, I'd expect to see at least one if not both appear in October. Who knows, maybe we'll get someone cool dressed up as an axe murderer for Halloween GLEX.
I have astonished myself. I decided to go for it, and I actually fully cleared stage 20 on all remembrance bosses with my crummy bow team! It's all because of Prefecture Monika. She and Paul (who's mostly there to evade hits) are the most recent styles. The rest are years old. For example, this Liz style is 1,2,3...her fourth most recent style. This Sarah one is ancient too, I don't even remember when it came out but I got it as one of my many offbanners in the last month.
Now the only remembrance fights I haven't cleared are Wyvern 20 and Carmine 20 for axes. For some reason, I couldn't get the Strumniken solo Carmine strat to work. Maybe now that I have a fully maxed remembrance axe he can do it.
And there we go: all remembrance battles cleared for every single weapon type and a full score of 12k.
Looks like StrumniGOD's Morning Glory nuked the screen in a blaze of white, so my team is the same as the Carmine one you see there except with Tirpitz instead of Summer Ellen. Forged some quick anti-dragon lapis axes and prayed it would be enough and it just barely was.
So the Wyvern team is three plat styles, with the only limited styles being Ogniana (ST heals) and Anus (very small aoe heals). That isn't the recent Prefecture Anus; it's his first true form style, so he's about as fragile as an actual dorito chip. Still, managed to hang in thanks to some Toasts and Tortoise Shell heals.
For Carmine, I decided to try to beat him the normal way and inherited Ellen's new GLEX Slash of Terror+ onto her year 1 summer style because despite her being my #2 fave in this game, I've failed to pull her last two axe styles. This was still pretty risky, as she has zero damage reduction passives and sure enough, she died before getting off the third and final poison leaving Strumniken to clean up the boss. Aunus died to the minions the next turn but without their boss around, it wasn't too bad.
Now to take it Thereasy and stat grind on the Christmas event while I wait for Sigfrei.

Speaking of remembrance, decided to use the new global database (https://rsrs.xyz/#skills) to check my options for the next remembrance bosses, which wants us to inflict unconsciousness to his minions. Looks like I have everything covered already except for spears. The recent Epaminodas is the only spear character with an instant kill skill in the game, and I failed to get him back when I pulled Medea on that banner. Gonna have to keep an eye on future spear styles. Looks like there's a lot of platinum and welfare styles that have unconsciousness skills so it should actually be pretty easy for most people to cover most weapons. For me, it's gonna be

>greatswords: welfare grey with secret three-step ST (souji is better if you have him because 6BP>10BP)
>axes: plat sif/hawke with bamboo splitter ST (stage ellen is better with dimensional break if you have her)

>rapier: darque with fatal trap aoe, monika/jamil/diana with floral extravaganza ST (there's a ton of other ST rapier skills for this too, but floral extravaganza is cheapest)
>spears: epaminodas only (don't have him)
>bows: claudia with assassin's arrow ST, paul with deathshot ST (there's also plat labelle and roberto with crystal prism)
>staffs: death with burial rite aoe (lots of options here)

There are other options for Swords GSwords and Clubs.
Swords: Kujinshi (Small Steal, Fatal Steal), ST but can provide that nice support. Has good INT scores.
GSwords: Frielen (Bloodcurdle), ST that requires wind, 1 turn down time at start.
Clubs: Wil (Incineration), ST that can be amped to Incineration+.
It ultimately depends on how much of a 'window; the adds provide when the instakill has to be applied before they attack with their key skills.

How many minions do they spawn?
He starts by default with two frogs on column formation. Then he randomly spawns boars, zombies, peggies, or more frogs. The lowermost mob also gets very high attack priority. The mobs are usually not a problem, except for the frog, who likes using a stun skill of medium chance; or the zombie, who can lower your WIL by a very large amount and leave your team to be paralyzed by sig's call thunder.
I also heard killing the minions gives you +5 BP, which is gonna help fuel those expensive aoe IK skills like the 14 BP one Warmech and Halloween Death have.

At Rank 99 you get around 15% more damage iirc, techs with stat buffs/debuffs also scale the buff/debuff potency.

Armor, accessories and gear are all worth it, but unless you started out very recently you should have all of those already so I didn't even consider them in the first place.

I did, hence me not knowing that ranks affect damage. Phew, I almost used my medals for tickets.

Yep, and it scales with grade so make sure to get those SSSS damage skills up to 99! It also has a big effect on almost all buffs and debuffs except Matriarch's buffs, so you'll have to manual those support skills up manually which is annoying unless you do it while watching a movie or something. Just go into a stage where you're so overleveled the enemies can't touch you, bring 4 weak characters to die, then have the support you're ranking up use their buff skill and then hit repeat over and over.
Seeing three main story chapters' exchanges together like this when the story was originally gonna go all year long really puts into perspective how fast we're going now.

Yeah, the prism molds in general drop in such tiny amounts compared to how much you need to actually forge, it's best to just wait for events that give out huge daily chunks like what they've been doing since adding prismatics. Probably gonna have to wait for an axe and bow style to get featured.

My israeliteels would never survive. There's 7 girls but if they included the producer guy and the dog (we've seen plenty of mascot animals and monsters already become playable), it'd bring the number of collab characters up to 9, the perfect amount for three rounds of banners.
I like that this game doesn't have collabs outside the franchise (other than with Saga) but Zombieland Saga is the only one I'd be cool with and actually want; no other series does as much to promote Saga Prefecture's culture and history than that anime and this mobile game's Prefecture collabs.

Lately there's other party buffers in JP that are contending with Razem, Shirei, Mama or Gerard all come to mind, all people who can buff multiple stats multiple times in a round on top of having other party wide benefits.
Razem still has his own throne to sit on because while other party buffers do something or two things better than him (Gerard buffs ALL stats twice on top of granting random ATK/DEF enhancements ), have something he doesn't have (Aslana can give everyone a Shield stack, ND or Shirei can be BP batteries) none have the specific combination of functions that Razem offers...at least as far as JP is concerned, GL is still its own thing so take this information with a grain of salt, they already did buff Razem in the first place.

Razem:
AGI 110% to 115%
Passive 2 now adds an AGI buff to his STR/DEX/INT buff to the party when he uses skills. Also, at the end of every 5 turns, he restores a use of skill 2.
Not sure if passive 3's chance of triggering Relief Zone has increased, as JP says “high chance” and global says “very high chance” but it might just be a translation thing.
Skill 2 now also grants allies "End of Turn: Recover HP" (very small effect/2 turn(s)).
Hardy:
AGI 107% to 115%
Hiveris:
WIL 100% to 108%
Passive 1's heat up's might have been bumped up one rank, I'm not sure. But it also now fills his OD gauge a medium amount at the end of turn.
Passive 2's chance of countering with skill 2 is now 50% instead of 37% (I think)
Skill 3's defense up it grants to the party is now large instead of small (the heat up is still small).
Esper Gal:
ABSOLUTELY NOTHING
Just like Kami's banner, the guy the banner is named after got the lion's share of buffs. Razem is insane now. He was already gonna be super meta, now he's definitely the best buffer in the game and his healing capabilities increased on global dramatically. The only teams he couldn't perfectly buff were m. arts teams and now he can.
Things turned around right after that post, with Razem appearing on pull #51. Hiveris showed up on pull 57, too, but then I went to pull 90 and got nothing.
I need 18,000 israeliteels to pity Esper Gal. These are special banners like Saruin and Mirsa's and will stay up for a month, so I think I'm safe!
Arthur, Talon and Goddess are lost to the void though. I wonder if we'll see the lost bannermates of the beasts get Frankenstein'd together next week? Frick, Creator and Esper Gal were still on the same banner, I would've got them both today without having to pity and have a nice pile of israeliteels left instead of literally zero just like all of September.
Final important question: the beasts login bonus is giving us SS weapons with +90% damage holy stones. Would these do more damage than a perfect 108% prismatic S forged weapon?

I've been saying all along I liked Polka's arc more than Liam's, but this final chapter of Liam's was team-up kino. Mr. S, Creator and Apollo showing up was great as was my boy Arthur and the motherfrickin' Talon theme jazzed up.

They're the same as the remembrance weapons, minus the small partywide damage reduction/raise. So yes, but not by much. It's a 15% difference or so i think.

Creator is the only one getting anything major and the guaranteed double chase is huge. For some reason, I think this version of him on JP was hyped as his best (his new bicycle one over there is already incredible) but on global he is massively better. Somebody correct me if I got anything wrong!

This conquest is incredible. The shop has enough prismatic mats for every type of weapon for everyone to have enough to forge perfect weapons for every series for every weapon type and grant forging its true death.

Darn, guess it's just me. It's really weird and disturbing because if it continues, I won't be able to grind/farm. I keep losing connection to the servers, but all other connections both on this device (my computer, I play on bluestacks) and on my phone are perfect. It's just RSRS on bluestacks right now that's having issues. I've never had trouble like this in the past, so I'm wondering if today's update made things fricky.
Free guaranteed SS pull gave me a useless old Orlouge dupe and Rastaban! Can't believe I got something new considering the insanely massive pool on this banner. Definitely don't spend israeliteels for more pulls: it contains everyone from launch all the way up to Summer Byunei's banner. At least I have confusion for greatswords now, gotta go forge a dark greatsword sometime.
I think the 1k pack if fine for a gamble, you get plenty of materials too. The price goes up though and its not worth it.
Decided to look through the welfare SS styles of the beasts' human forms and compare to JP. As expected, no buffs there. Though our Hardy is technically better because Dimensional Break got buffed way back when Stage Ellen came out. Speaking of, he'll make for a nice addition for axe teams to deal with Sigfrei next month. And Orlette really helps cover all those status ailments for club and bow.

I don't have it, unfortunately.
Creator's one of those weird styles that uses INT m.arts, meaning his damage scales off of INT instead of AGI but it counts as physical so it checks the enemy END instead of WIL like most mages (this is why the recent Christmas Misty has a skill that debuffs END instead of WIL).
When forging fists, there is no INT+ option but if you select any of the elemental options (Fire+, Water+, etc), the fist will have increased INT bonus as if it was INT+. Like the other guy said, the remembrance fist is the strongest weapon he can get overall.
Maybe Razem's light+ SS weapon with its built-in +90% damage holy stone will be better than a forged weapon though? I'm still waiting for someone to answer that question I posed here
Is the new Gerard a better row farmer than New Year's Leonard?
Unless we consider the slightly different typing, yeah, Gerard is better, much higher damage output and better consistency too when you put him in Dragon Stance EX
Consider the following:

Passive damage multipliers are also in Gerard's favour here.
There's one major difference between the two outside of Gerard being Light/Slash and Leonard being Heat/Slash, Gerard has Galaxy and Leonard has Floating Juggernaut, Gerard can T1 Galaxy while Leonard is forced to T2 Floating Juggernaut, both are SSS screen clearer with different attributes so effectively they're still covering different niches, as much as Leonard is obsolete even in that considering people like Saruing, Galahad and Laura lord over everyone else when it comes to that.

She's nowhere near stat cap yet (still has blazing fast gold lines flying by her sprite), has no hidden stats unlocked, no promotion scrolls used, I don't have the remembrance spear and she is solo farming Ice Prison 5 in the conquest where the enemies are weak to her elements. Now this is podracing!

Yeah, check the special shop button in the upper left of the home screen. There should be a pack of goodies that says "free" at the top. Head over to the banners and redeem the ticket you get from that for a free SS style. Be warned: the pool for that is massive and stretches all the way back from launch three years ago to last summer, so it's mostly trash but maybe you'll get something cool.

There aren't any good Alkaiser styles on banner at the moment but he's got a great one coming sometime in the future (and yeah, he's pretty damn cool). Out of the current banners, I'd say try to snag Razem off his banner as he covers all your support needs (heals/buffs/cleanse) and Sherlot-Myrah off Creator's banner as she's a god tier farmer and 99.9% of this game is spent farming (if you can snag Creator, he's a top tier damage dealer for boss fights too).

You have Razem, Creator and School Bertrand, I would keep as that's a very, very strong reroll. Gerard can help with farming too. The twins' banner is up for 4 weeks, you'll probably get enough to grab them before then.
Just the twinheaded dragon for now, because she's a top tier farmer. Beyond that, just save israeliteels. This version is scarce on that, and there are a bunch of upcoming banners which may be of your interest.

Woke up today to zero israeliteels and no Esper Gal and realized how much global fricked me up the ass with the banner butchery. If my pulls went like yesterday's and the banners remained the same as JP, I would've swept Creator's banner in half a pity, which would let me sweep the Arthur/Talon/Razem banner in a pity and maybe have enough to snipe Goddess, all my FFL targets. I can't believe I was actually poised to do the impossible and get everything I wanted from the seven Great Battle Festival banners. But now, of my original targets, I only have Creator and Razem because of global frickery. I will have to pity Esper Gal meaning I miss out on Arthur, Talon, and Goddess completely, all of them favourites even among my treasured FFL styles. They're probably coming later this week, when I will still be at zero israeliteels let alone the 50k+ I would need to get them. The excitement of yesterday is gone and has been replaced with that familiar dread of knowing how screwed I am yet again.

Yep, you're good. At first I was gonna say reroll as what you have developed is "good enough" but the current banners got a lot more juice. Then I scrolled down further and saw you have all the new styles from yesterday. With those, you are totally good to go, congrats!
As for your team, I would replace White Rose with Razem. He plus Polka is more than enough healing for boss fights, and he can either supercharge your WIL buffing by inheriting his S2 from his welfare style in the conquest shop (get them all!) if the boss is inflicting status ailments or he can buff STR/AGI/INT along with that Matriarch style in your pic to turbocharge your damage. The new Creator style can replace your Liam there too, as Liam isn't benefitting from Mama+Razem buffs while Creator is.
For farming, use Merlot on Ice Prison 5 in the conquest as I pointed out here

REALLY good in Saruin comps, really good for general use.
What sells this Death is that he has a super Scrum Guard that gives 20% unconditional damage boost+25% damage reduction to everyone and a single Auto Revive proc to everyone, at the cost of draining 1LP from everyone.
Other than that he's very tanky and he offers a double minimum party heal and very competent BP cycling.
>Subier
Very strong Cold/Pierce STR attacker, can do ridiculous damage and also inflict a Pierce/Cold defense debuff so everyone else using cold/pierce also do from 30% to 70% more damage when those attributes are used.
>Forneus
Kinda similar to Subier except his buffs are more selfish, he can buff himself up to do more cold damage, he also gets in a counterstance on OD, which makes him fairly versatile, can get ridiculously powerful with Subier as backup.
>Macha
Kind of a more extreme RNG version of her Pref style, her gimmick is that she throws a 50% coin to start a one turn charge after using her skill 2 or 3, after that she drops a SSSS Heat/strike nuke, honestly not that great as it is
>Megami
A very weird counterstance caster that puts herself in a defensive position to counter with Chicken Apollo's skill 3, pretty middling all in all.

A pretty competent Column+ST pierce farmer, if not for the fact that he's rendered completely irrelevant by the twins and his future style has not much use for any of the skills in this style either...

You like pachinko? That's what he is, Pachinko Black, you throw a dice with progressively lower chances to proc FOUR AOE CHASES, this is to my memory the single most RNG heavy farming style in the game and you should honestly forget about it unless you're named Akagi Shigeru or something

Kinda middling version of the latest Mirsa but Slash/Shadow and with a GS, very tanky, and his skill 3 is a SSSS nuke that also has a small party heal tied to it, has serious BP cycling issues.

I was looking at Esper Gal's stats again and I can't believe that not only was she the only one with zero buffs, but her latest style's stats are all lower than her previous one's. All of 'em. It's insane how much the devs must hate this style.
Speaking of FFL hate from these devs, that Goddess style is dead on arrival as global already has so many countertanks that do a better job at it than her. It's like they really don't know what to do with her at all. The previous style had the most offensive stats and passives of any of her styles and yet was given the skills of a support. I'm still mad about her S2 on that one, as Bow Monika on the same banner had a similar S2 that cost less, did more damage and had a bonus side effect attached to it instead of nothing.
This style looks so silly, but gives me Merlot vibes with refunding +10 bp for infinite massive damage aoes.
I feel you gbsagabro. I became a saga3gay last week after playing the game and its remake, and i was looking forward to getting talon and arthur because they looked kino as hell. But now i'm broke after going for creator's banner (i'm the hawke offbanner guy). Really sucks what they have done to the banners. 4 unit banners are just trash.

Quite good. Solid presentation, KINO music, and very beginner friendly (there's an easy mode in case you want to mess with the newly added durability system). There are also common elements from the other games such as techs (tied to your weapon a la rs1/ssg), combos, misc quests (tied to a new mechanic). It's a fun experience, which takes the original and makes it more fun and saga-like. I like how they redesigned most of the cast but left arthur very similar to his original appearance. His design is just that good.
Niiiiice. I think I have a fan translation on one of my hard drives somewhere, but it'd be nice if they gave them an official release one day. And yeah, Arthur's design is too good.
I wish they didn't do the fixed map pathing, I liked exploring on my own. It's the same beef I had with Legend of Dragoon.

I'll do all the stages at least 1 time and then farm Ice Prison 5, as I need all 4 styles from conquest. Then I guess I'll just keep doing main story because even if I need more weapons from events that are permanent now, I guess saving israeliteels is the best thing I can do right now...
Nice, lookin' good! Weapons will come in time, we're finally getting some truly excellent weapons for free with the five beast weapons. The conquest will also give you tons of prismatic mats which let you easily forge top tier weapons. Saving for now is a good idea, you're all set.

Uhhhhh...other than global's accelerated schedule so you're bombarded with far more things than you could ever afford to pull for even with israeliteels being injected into your veins on a daily basis, I can't really think of anything wrong. People hated forging so they did away with that, it's in its death throes on global and gone on JP.
There's a reason why this is my #1 mobage and I've played very many of them. The series isn't nearly as popular outside of Japan, but in Japan it manages to compete with all the big boys despite having none of the things that typically make a gacha successful, like pvp and stinginess.
It's the pretty boy face and pointy ears. Plus he's from that era, so there's gonna be influence back and forth.

I noticed Hiveris' node on the conquest map has two dots at the bottom of its base. One is lit up right now, did he have a first form that the community killed while I was asleep earlier? Or is that just to show I've watched his cutscene?
My sparkles didn't change so it looks like the hp cap is the same on divine beast boss nodes as it is on regular nodes, so it's faster to keep grinding those if you don't care about the drops.
Anyone have a good blunt team for Hiveris? None of the formations fit my top 5 blunt damage dealers. I'm hitting 2 million per run, does anyone know how much damage it requires to get the max drops? Even without any armor equipped, it takes Hiveris 'til turn 4 to kill my squad.

I'm using Beach Tatyana, Silver, the oldass Human F, GLEX Roufas and Beach Undine in Great Rangers but that worthless frick still has a hard time killing my comp after the 2M mark in Round 2 or 3.

Reroll until you get Razem, Creator and Merlot, these are the current must get, everything else is a bonus.

Not really.
This game isn't about making a single party and grinding through the entire game with it, or at least, you can do it but you won't be able to do any of the hard content.
This game is about making multiple parties depending on what you need, so you need parties for bosses, parties for optimal grinding, parties of remembrance fights etc., and in all of this you need a fair amount of variety, very hard content includes even more limiting challenges like series locked fights where you can only use characters from a certain series, so if you want to play this game at its fullest you NEED to constantly change your parties around, especially when you're just starting out because you need to grind like you life depends on it to catch up to the minimum relative powerlevels, you need to grind equipment (and the mats for that), you need to grind skill levels, you need to grind for currencies etc.
80% of this game is about optimizing the grind, Razem won't help you with that, Razem's only use is being (admittedly amazing) support for bossfights, he's completely useless for grinding, he's not good at pushing damage either, he's merely there to make everyone else work better, Hardy is kinda similar but much more niche, Hiveris just sucks so you better forget him.
So to recap, focus on getting Razem, Creator and Merlot, I already explained to you why Razem is valuable but

Is an extremely competent Sun/Lightning damage pusher for boss fights, with one of his older styles he also becomes an extremely good Sun/Lightning farmer and as I said, grinding is 80% of the game

An exceedingly efficient farmer in general and THE BEST you can get right now, like the other two she's a top tier investment and will help you tremendously in getting up to speed with the current release, which is extremely important right now because some content is going to disappear soon-ish and it's imperative you go through it ASAP.

Excellent starting box, now speedrun through Main, those people, the current conquest is gonna stay up real long so grinding can wait, focus on finishing all of your Main quests firsts, then you should do some of the side stuff like the various attacks and extra side stories in there.

To catch up with JP, global seems to have completely stopped doing reruns so you will have to wait for one of the bottomless banners. Those come at half anniversary and anniversary, so December and June. Unfortunately, Halloween Creator was only a few months ago in global so he will not be back until anniversary next summer unless things change.

Looks like Hiveris is under half, hopefully he dies today. Each of the beasts' areas in the conquest drop a different SS accessory and we get a guaranteed copy of a + version of them when we kill the respective bosses. Not sure what the other accessories are like, but the Serpentine Ring from Hiveris is quite good so I hope you guys get a few of them to drop.

Pro tip: when on full auto, the AI will choose the skill with the highest BP cost starting from the bottom of the list shown in the pic here
and counting up. So if S3 and the inherited skill cost the same, the inherited skill takes priority. That's why we have the option of adjusting BP cost. If you want to train an inherited skill that costs the same as a style's S3, make sure to bump up its cost by 1.

Sorry, brain fart. Last sentence should say "if you want to train a skill that costs the same as your inherited skill, bump up its cost by one."
Since the other anon already explained how, If you have no clue as to what style works with what, I recommend using the style skin in the edit tab since it will show you all of the available styles per character.
If a character doesn't show up here that means you only have 1 style for them and thus nothing to inherit.

The most useful one is either Razem if you have his premium style or Orlette for helping with club and bow remembrance battles.
Speaking of remembrance battles, I think they unlock once you get past a certain point in Liam's story (you can jump in without doing Polka's at all). These battles are the endgame, where you must face bosses with a team comprised entirely out of characters that use the same weapon type. Outside of faves/meta, this could be one of the main reasons you pull for someone: to help out your bow/club/spear/etc team as you won't be able to rely on your main healer or buffer for most of the fights.
Why am I telling you this now if you just started? Because each remembrance boss has 20 difficulty levels so even a new player should be able to clear some of the lower levels. They are one and done fights and you get all the rewards from all the stages below the one you clear. At the beginning of every month, you will receive a bunch of special currency for the remembrance shop based on how many stages you've cleared, so it's good to beat at least a few of them before the end of the month so you can get this currency rolling in on a regular basis. Why is this currency important? It's used to obtain and upgrade the strongest weapons in the game, the remembrance weapons.
Just somethin' to start thinking about while you're auto-farming.
Much like the other guy said, if you go into the Christmas event or the main story, you'll see under the rewards tab a bunch of limited amount materials at the top (should say "XXXXX left" on their icon). If you can, farm these limited mats that reset daily and once you've got them for the day, dump everything else into the conquest. If that's too much, just focus on the conquest.
And if you haven't already, put the characters you're actually gonna use in the new final expedition (snowpeak, I think it's called?) and burn as many expedition tickets as you can to instantly make them return from expeditions to get their base stats up to a certain point higher extremely fast. Once they get a sort of confused/exasperated icon over their head, they're done with that expedition.
The devs are so moronic to have made Razem a fist/greatsword user instead of axe. He's literally using an axe in both his human and beast forms and he would've completely solved axe remembrance teams by being such an all in one package.
I stand by my theory that Ichi-P's original family were all killed by an axe murderer and he was adopted into a different one as a child.

Gustave the Steel must REALLY hate vampires. At least I never have to forge an elemental fist ever again. I even made a water GBSaGa one for Esper Bro in advance.
Since we have some newfriends, I'm gonna explain one of the most important mechanics the game doesn't explain: how elemental weapons interact with skills/spells. Razem is a perfect example. Look at his three skills in the leftmost pic of this image. In the upper-right corner of his skill icons are smaller icons showing what that attack's damage scales off. For Razem's skill 1 and skill 3, it's a fist/m.arts icon. This marks these as m.arts skills, which use his AGI (and a bit of STR) to calculate damage vs an enemy's END. His skill 2 however, has a light icon. Because it's elemental, it is a spell and not a skill, and its damage is calculated off of Razem's INT vs enemy WIL. It's important to know when Razem is using a skill or a spell because the buff he gives to the party change depending on which is used. So if an attack has a weapon icon, it's a skill. If it's an element like heat/cold/lightning/sun/shadow, it's a spell. Because Razem is a hybrid character who uses both skills and spells, you will need to give him an elemental fist weapon; in this case, a light fist. Luckily, the login bonus will eventually give us a perfect light fist that is excellent for Razem or any other fist user so long as they don't need an elemental fist that's not light (shown in the middle of this pic, look at the light icon).
You may have noticed some characters have an element shown at the very top of their screen next to their name. This doesn't always mean they need a weapon of that element! Razem certainly does, but look at Merlot-Syrah on the right side of this pic. She is a spear user with the wind element, but all of her skills have a spear icon in the upper right and none of them have wind! So even though we're getting a free wind spear that is perfect for her, she doesn't actually need a wind spear; any non-elemental spear will do. Same thing with Hardy and his earth element; none of his styles actually get earth spells to cast so he can wear any fist.

So as a reminder: only the tiny icon in the upper right of a skill or spell's icon actually matters for determining what “powers” it. Another good example of this is Esper Gal, who has spells across all of her styles that do both heat and shadow damage, but all of them are heat/fire spells and NONE are shadow spells! See the fire icon on all three spells in this pic? If you give her a shadow staff, it will be as useless as not giving her a weapon at all, but if you give her a heat staff, she will do full damage even if she's hitting shadow weakness on a boss that resists heat! Only heat matters for her.
Finally, there are some special snowflakes that use spells of two different elements like Jo on the right here. You'll see her first and third spells on this style are powered by cold and the second spell by heat despite all three doing both heat and cold damage. Unfortunately, you cannot normally forge dual-element weapons so you will need to either wait to get the ones you need from events or buy some of the already-released ones from the weapon exchange with the equipment medals you can find in most event shops. There have been a few events that offered limited time mats to forge dual-element weapons, and they usually rerun during anniversaries.
Bonus: STR is used for damage with sword, greatsword, axe, club aka hammer and spear skills. M.arts aka fist skills use AGI and STR but mostly AGI. Bows, guns and s.swords aka rapiers use DEX. And weirdos like Creator who are mages that use fists instead of staves use INT M.Arts skills, which do damage based on INT vs enemy END.

The element on the top right of a style is really counter intuitive, why does that even exist?
You're welcome! I think it was meant to be sort of a guide, maybe with the sort of damage a character can do, but more often than not it's misleading. For example, all six of Emelia's styles have the sun element but she has never had a sun spell (though a few of her skills do sun damage).
Not him, but those "elements" you see on the top right are elements in the sense of the magic schools those characters can use.
In SaGa, "Elements"=/=Magic, a Magic school represent an element in a philosophical way, in SaGa "elements" are attributes, almost always heat, cold and electric, in this game they add an extra shadow and sun attributes, to this you add other three attributes, slash, pierce and strike, which are USUALLY something weapon users specialize into but not necessarily so.
Earth magic for instance doesn't deal "Earth" damage, it's either blunt or pierce attributes, Water magic on the other hand can use anything from cold to lightning or even blunt attrbutes, sometimes they can use multiple attributes too. which are the small symbols listen in the skill window at the bottom of the image anon posted.
